Seattle Police Abandon Residents As Antifa Uses Twitter, Facebook To Organize Nationwide Protests

The Seattle Police Department announced on Friday that residents and business owners are essentially on their own, after the City Council banned the use of pepper spray and other ‘less lethal tools’ to disperse crowds.

"Simply put, the legislation gives officers NO ability to safely intercede to preserve property in the midst of a large, violent crowd," reads a letter from Seattle Chief of Police, Carmen Best – who added that thanks to the City Council, "Seattle Police will have an adjusted deployment in response to any demonstrations this weekend."

And in anticipation of violent weekend protests coordinated over social media platforms (which ban conservatives for mean words), Seattle business and police have been boarding up.

Nationwide coordination

The Portland-based Pacific Northwest (PNW) Youth Liberation Front – which describes itself as a "decentralized network of autonomous youth collectives dedicated to direct action towards total liberation," has issued a call to action for other Antifa cells across the country on Saturday – calling it "J25" (July 25).

In a Facebook ‘call to action,’ the anarchist group writes:

The Federal Government has already waged war against Portland, which has been protesting everyday for 50 days straight, and now feds are going to war against protesters everywhere in an attempt to take control and snuff out the fire of this uprising. We must become more powerful than them.

Form an affinity group.

Coordinate an action.

Get tactical.

Mask up.

Bring a friend.

Show up.

Ken Cuccinelli: Federal Agents Could Sue Pelosi for Libel — ‘Speaker of the House Knows That She’s Using Nazi Allusions’

Friday, during an interview that aired on Fox News Channel’s “The Ingraham Angle,” acting Department of Homeland Security Deputy Secretary Ken Cuccinelli weighed in on the civil unrest plaguing several American cities.

Guest host Lisa Boothe asked Cuccinelli why those cities should not have to deal with the consequences given that the elected leadership in those cities was allowing it to happen. He also argued House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) should be held accountable for her “libelous” statements regarding the agents of the entities involved in the effort to protect federal government property.

“You know, I’m this close to agreeing, except we have a federal mission at the Department of Homeland Security, governed by statute,” Cuccinelli replied. “And we’ve also heard people, this isn’t constitutional. And real quick, Lisa, I’d point people to Article I, Section 8 Paragraphs 1, 9 and 18 and the statutes that have been written under it. And one of those statutes charges the Department of Homeland Security with protecting federal properties like this courthouse and Edith Green building there in Portland. So we’re not only within the boundaries of the Constitution, we have a statutory charge, and that’s the mission we’re pursuing there.”

“And when you see such libelous, slanderous comments from people who know better, let’s not kid ourselves,” he continued. “The Speaker of the House knows that she’s using Nazi allusions to refer to correct professional law enforcement officers. If I was a CBP agent, if I was an ICE agent, if I was an FPS agent, I might just sue her for libel.”

Cuccinelli went on to speculate what motivations might be behind those statements made by Pelosi and her ilk.

“One of the sad things right now about the political arena is that the Left views an important part of their base, as people who believe violence is an acceptable way to achieve your goals,” he said. “And we saw Mayor Wheeler go out last night. He is way out there. He’s radical Left, as you said in your introduction. He’s basically turned much of the city over to these violent criminals. And he’s tied the hands of his own police department. I feel bad for them – the Portland Police Bureau. And last night he thought he could go out and appease the mob and control them. And he went out and spoke to them. He was booed. They called for his resignation.”

“The right historical analogy has nothing to do with Germany,” Cuccinelli continued. “It has to do with the Bolsheviks. And last night that mayor was a Menshevik, the socialists who went out and thought they could control that revolution, and the bloodthirsty Bolsheviks came in and killed them all. This mob is out for blood. They are not there to protect the First Amendment or to exercise first amendment rights. We all respect those people. At every night that 75 to 100 people and then 1,000 more come later, and start attacking these buildings and the law enforcement officers protecting them.”

FNC’s Carlson: ‘The Mobs Will Not Stop with Christopher Columbus’ — How Long Before They Tear Down Buildings, Homes, Human Beings?

Friday, Fox News Channel’s Tucker Carlson opened his program criticizing Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot, who leads a city in debt and disarray.

Carlson questioned Lightfoot’s priorities, including her decision to take down two statues of Italian explorer Christopher Columbus.

According to the Fox News host, the decision was based on the demands of her constituents, who Carlson said were not voters or taxpayers but Antifa.

“In case you are wondering why Lightfoot chose Christopher Columbus to blame for her city’s decline — why not Marco Polo? Why not Vasco de Gama? There’s a reason. Her constituents demanded it. Not voters or taxpayers. There was never any groundswell of opposition to Christopher Columbus in Chicago. He’s not on the list of concerns for most people there. No, Lightfoot’s actual constituents wanted Columbus taken down. Her actual constituents are Antifa. Last week, the mob descended on Grant Park to take down the Columbus statue. Almost 50 police officers were injured in the riot you just saw. But Lori Lightfoot did not care. They’re not her voters. Lightfoot cares about her base: the looters, the destroyers,  the angry Marxist rich kids with the spray paint. When they tell her to act, Lori Lightfoot acts immediately.”

Carlson argued we should be concerned about the behavior of the mob and that it will go beyond just statues of Columbus.

“The problem for the rest of us is, the mobs will not stop with Christopher Columbus. He’s just the beginning. If they can tear down statues whenever they feel like it, how long before they tear down buildings? How long before they tear down homes? How long before they tear down human beings? Probably not very long. Violence rarely remains symbolic. It accelerates until good people rise up to stop it. If Lori Lightfoot and progressive mayors like her around the country, and there are many, are allowed to divert attention from their own failures by bowing to the mob and destroying public property, this will not end with Christopher Columbus. It will get much worse, and it will get more dangerous. You may not think tearing down a statue is a big deal until you are the next designated Christopher Columbus.

Shameless CNN Sucks Up to Cuomo: Please Tell Red States What to Do on Coronavirus!

CNN continues to rewrite history and inflate Governor Andrew Cuomo’s ego despite his horrible handling of the coronavirus as it raged through his state of New York. On Friday afternoon, the Democrat governor was treated to yet another CNN cleanup act, this time from anchor John King on CNN Newsroom.
King even had the audacity to ask Cuomo to tell other (mostly red) state governors how they should be handling the pandemic.
After throwing the Democrat several softballs so he could attack the Trump administration, King left the tail end of the interview to actually ask Cuomo about coronavirus. Except the CNN journalist didn’t press Cuomo on the disastrous decision he made to shuffle COVID-positive patients into nursing homes that resulted in thousands of deaths. King didn’t ask Cuomo about violating his own state’s "travel ban" this week. He didn’t even press the Democrat on being caught not wearing a face mask in public, also this week, despite CNN’s affinity for being the mask police. No, instead he actually asked Cuomo to tell other states experiencing spikes right now what to do:
Governor, I have your time and I want to use your experience. As I mentioned, the country has watched New York go up the hill first and I believe our viewers can see now. We can put on the screen New York’s path up the hill and down the hill with the coronavirus. I’m sure you can’t see the graphic, Governor, but I also know that it’s seared in your memory of going up this hill and coming down this hill. The coming down part, it is — fascinates me. It’s a bad word but because even as you start to come down, you had more cases on the downward side, you had more deaths on the downward side. You’re watching right now Florida, 12,000 cases plus today. They have been around 10,000 or 12,000. Texas, Arizona, California. As you watch this play out now in other states, nationally the positivity rate is eight percent. In Arizona it is above 20 percent. In Florida, it’s been around 19. You’re below one percent in the State of New York now. What is your advice to these governors — most of them Republicans, but Gavin Newsom out in California, a Democrat — as they go through what you have lived?
Like he always does, Cuomo blamed his state’s virus woes on the Trump administration not enacting the European travel ban fast enough. And of course King let him deflect blame to avoid taking personal responsibility for his own inept leadership.
CNN is so committed to covering for Cuomo the network will throw its own anchors under the bus if they dare say a word critical of the media’s beloved "Homecoming King."
Unfortunately it’s not just CNN hacks rewriting history. Just a few days ago, "NBC participated in a political stunt by New York Governor Andrew Cuomo, sending a reporter along as the Democrat flew down to Georgia to lecture others on their handling of the coronavirus," analyst Kyle Drennen noted.
If you want to tell CNN’s advertisers how you feel about this segment, contact Colonial Penn or Ensure.

JOHN KING: Trump administration standing down or backing down in the fight with New York. The administration lifting a ban on New Yorkers using the government’s trusted traveler problem and the government admitting it made false statements in a lawsuit over this issue. The governor commenting Abo it moments ago.
PRESIDENT DONALD TRUMP: They got caught. It was all politics, all the time. It was all exploitation all the time. And they hurt this state because of it. You cannot use government for political exploitation.
KING: New York Governor Cuomo with us now live. Thank you so much for your time. Good to see you, sir. Let’s start with right there. You say you cannot use the government for exploitation. They lied. We often sugar coat words when they talk about things but they lied in a court filing and they came back and said, you know what? We have to fix this. You think there’s criminal liability. Explain that.
GOVERNOR ANDREW CUOMO (D-NY): Yeah. Look. John, thanks for having me. I was a cabinet secretary. You take an oath when you’re a cabinet secretary, even just an acting cabinet secretary or deputy secretary. You have a constitutional obligation and you have an ethical and legal obligation. You cannot use federal resources to play politics and that’s all they did here. It was very clear. They were resonating the president’s political message which is we’re against undocumented people and they said to New York that passed what’s called the green light law where we have driver’s licenses for undocumented people, they wanted to make an example out of New York and wanted to make an example out of having a driver’s license law for undocumented people. And they retaliated. They stopped this program called the trusted traveler program which had nothing to do with undocumented driver’s license. It started back in February. I said it was pure politics. I said there were about 15 states that had undocumented driver’s licenses. What is unique about New York? Except you want to play politics. The Republican states that had undocumented driver’s licenses. But they were just playing politics and they got caught. They lied and they got caught and I want to see what Department of Justice really does now. Attorney General Barr, let’s let him look at his oath and see what he does. I think Congress should be all over this, John.
KING: The Congress part maybe you might get help from your democratic friends in the House but you haven’t been in a cave for six months because I have been here as you brief people on television and can’t assume you have a reasonable expectation that this President’s Attorney General is going to listen to a word you just said.
CUOMO: Well, look. If you’re Attorney General Barr, you have to look in the mirror sooner or later. Right? You’re right. There’s no way he’ll go down in the book of distinguished Attorneys General in my opinion. But you have to have a modicum of self respect somewhere when you know that you have a cabinet Department, Homeland Security, that was a political ploy that lied about it, that got caught. At one point don’t you have to do something, John, that has something to do with justice when you’re the head of the Department of Justice?
KING: Well, we’ll watch that play out. Maybe that’s something to do with correcting the lie, the mistake in the filing but we’ll see as it plays out but to that point Mr. Barr with the president at the moment are involved if you would ask the Portland mayor he says it’s reckless, using federal agents, the president said he’s going to send them to Chicago and says he’s looking at other democratic cities, as well. What would the Governor of New York say if the president decided in New York or somewhere else in your state that you needed federal agents because he sees a threat to courthouses or to statutes or federal property, anarchy the president calls it?
CUOMO: Yeah. I spoke to the president about it because if you remember, John, he mentioned New York City in the litany of cities and I understand the politics of the day and I understand the political statement he is making. But I had a conversation with the president on the phone about New York City. There is no justification in New York City. I said are there any federal properties that you are worried about? Because if you have a concern, let me know, the  state stands ready, willing and able to take care of any bonafide need so there’s no reason for the federal government to come in. And I did have a good conversation with the president and we left it that he was not going to come into New York City. If anything changed, he would speak to me first. But you are right. The legal rationale would have to be endangering federal property and he thought it was necessary to bring in federal agents to protect federal property. That’s the best legal ground. It doesn’t exist in New York. I don’t know if you have a bonafide case it existed in Portland. The federal government doesn’t have a police force. It is not in the Constitution. That is left to the states.
KING: Yeah, as well, as the same Department of Homeland Security, you’re talking about here that has its officers out in these places. We shall see how that goes. What is your advice to these governors — most of them Republicans, but Gavin Newsom out in California, a Democrat — as they go through what you have lived?"
CUOMO: Yeah. First, John, when they write the history book on this one it’s going to be ugly. You want to talk about a national tragedy? None of this had to be. How can we be in this position? Five months ago we knew what was coming and we’re still flat footed. What happened in New York City is going to be another chapter in the book. What happened in New York is the virus came from Europe. And the federal government totally missed it. We didn’t find out until it was too late that the virus went from China to Europe and then from Europe was coming to New York. The European travel ban that the federal government did much too late to stop it so we had a spike. We had to get those cases down. And we were ambushed by the virus. That didn’t happen anywhere else in the country. They didn’t have a spike. They just had to make sure it didn’t increase. That’s all they were dealing with but there’s two points. You have people who are in denial is the first issue. That is compounded by this division across the count lack of unity. And then you have secondarily government incompetence. It is both factors. In New York we had to get the people to understand the facts and how serious it was. We had to put aside the politics. I had them focus on the facts, on the science. I did it every day. And New Yorkers got it. They understood it. They didn’t think that it was political and they knew what they had to do and then the government stepped up. You have to get testing in place. I’m talking to these local governments. They still don’t have testing, still don’t have tracing. Talking about ten days to get test results. You talk about running out of hospital space. You know? Five months ago we knew what operations had to be performed by government. How are we still where we are today?
KING: Let me jump in there. When you say there’s government incompetence in the here and now as you watch this play out across the country, you’re saying the governor of Florida is incompetent? The governor of Texas is incompetent? The governor of California is incompetent? Or is this all a federal thing for you?
CUOMO: You know, I think it’s all across the board on different levels. Right? And the history books will decide or the voters of a state will tell you. The people of New York will tell you what they thought of the job I did. The people in Florida will determine what their governor did. I think the federal government was no doubt slow. I don’t even get this whole leave it to the states, you know? Every state has a crisis but it’s not a federal crisis? I’m not sure how that works. And then you have certain states that I think have acted adequately and certain states that have not but you know when you talk about the operations, John, just what are the problems we’re asking? Ask yourself how can this be five months later? How can we still have issues setting up testing? You know New York, we had to get the testing set up in two weeks. Here we have had five months. So I think it’s both those factors. You had a nation in denial, a nation that played politics with it. And then government competence.
KING: Agree with you on that last point. Every day I go through these numbers and look through the maps and how can we be here five months later is a question everybody should ask. Whether a Democrat, a Republican, and independent, whatever your politics are. How, how could we be here five months later? Governor Andrew Cuomo, Democrat Governor of New York, sir, appreciate your time today.
CUOMO: Thanks, John. Good to be with you.
KING; Thank you.

“I Always Knew that Hillary Was a Short-Tempered, Foul Mouthed, Self-Centered, Entitled Psychopath” EXCLUSIVE – Roger Stone Responds to Crooked Hillary

Crooked Hillary Clinton was on far-left MSNBC this week and she couldn’t help herself – she criticized and slandered both President Trump and Roger Stone.  Roger Stone shared with the Gateway Pundit his thoughts about Hillary’s interview.

The MSNBC interview started with the host sharing a clip of candidate Trump right after the Republican convention in 2016.  Candidate Trump mentioned in jest in that if Russia has the Hillary emails, to please release them.  Of course MSNBC took this clip out of context.  They still want to believe that President Trump is working for the Russians – the greatest lie in US history – a lie that ignored the potential of starting a world nuclear war in an effort to help Hillary win the Presidency.

Hillary as we now know was behind the slanderous and fraudulent Steele dossier used by Obama’s Deep State FBI and Justice Department to harass candidate and President Trump and have him removed from office after he defeated Hillary in the 2016 election.  But the coup failed and there are new hopes that some day the investigation into this criminal scandal by numerous Deep State operatives, including former President Obama and his VP Biden, will lead to indictments and justice.

Below is the clip from MSNBC:

In an exclusive, Roger Stone shared with the Gateway Pundit his thoughts on Hillary’s comments made on MSNBC.  Here are some comments from Mr. Stone:

I always knew that Hillary Clinton was a short-tempered, foul mouthed, self-centered, entitled psychopath but I have now reached the point where I fervently believe that her upset loss to the insurgent campaign of Donald Trump in 2016 has literally driven her insane.

Days after President Donald Trump commuted the sentence for my conviction in the epically rigged Soviet style show trial I was subjected to by Robert Mueller’s dirty cops and the incredibly corrupt DC court system, Hillary Clinton was back recycling an entirely false left-wing conspiracy theory that was disproven by the very Mueller investigation that she cheered on.

The false narrative goes like this; “Roger Stone traded his silence about acts of misconduct or other inappropriate activity by Donald Trump in return for the commutation of his sentence. Stone even bragged about it.”   The problem with this claim is that it has no basis in fact nor evidence to support it.  In fact, it is contrary to what I have correctly said repeatedly-that Mueller’s prosecutors pressured me to cooperate with their witch-hunt and to bear false witness against the President regarding numerous communications between candidate Trump and me in 2016.

Stone shared that Hillary is oblivious to the fact that she laundered money to pay for the Steele dossier but now claims Trump’s commutation of Stone is part of a coverup.  Then he shared:

Since the day of my commutation Adam Schiff, Jerry Nadler and the most corrupt prosecutor in US history Andrew Weissmann have all repeated this bogus claim.  They all do so cleverly taking my public statements in which I said repeatedly that the Mueller prosecutors wanted me to “come clean” and “confess” and offer false testimony against the President that could then be used as an article of impeachment.  In fact on March 14, 2019 an assistant US Attorney on the Mueller team met privately with one of my attorneys to propose my cooperation in return for unspecified leniency in my sentence.

On the heels of all of these unsupportable claims- none of which Mueller with his unlimited budget and extraordinary investigative authority could find – come literally dozens of op-ed pieces by left-wing law professors claiming that the commutation of my sentence by the President is flawed because he in essence used his commutation to cover up his own illegal acts.  Given that there is no evidence or proof of this, any lawyer who writes this should be disbarred.  But then liberals never let facts get in the way of a good left-wing conspiracy theory.

The greatest thing President Trump has done to save America is beat Hillary Clinton in the 2016 election – and even greater is the fact that he now lives inside her head for eternity.

BREAKING: U.S. Breaches Chinese Consulate In Houston, Suspected Spy Center

On Friday afternoon, U.S. federal agents and local law enforcement gained entrance to the Chinese consulate compound in Houston, Texas, only days after reports surfaced of officials inside the consulate burning documents, prompting much suspicion.

“A series of black SUVs, trucks, two white vans and a locksmith’s van entered the property as a crowd of observers and news cameras observed from the edge of the diplomatic compound,” CNN reported. “U.S. officials were seen in videos prying open a back door, and local law enforcement set up a perimeter around the building Friday afternoon,” The Hill reported.

U.S. officials stated that Chinese consulate officials “were directly involved in communications with researchers and guided them on what information to collect.”

A U.S. Justice Department official asserted that officials at the consulate “are a microcosm, we believe, of a broader network of individuals in more than 25 cities. … Consulates have been giving individuals in that network guidance on how to evade [and] obstruct our investigation.”

“The United States will not tolerate the PRC’s (People Republic of China) violations of our sovereignty and intimidation of our people, just as we have not tolerated the PRC’s unfair trade practices, theft of American jobs, and other egregious behavior,” the State Department said in a statement. “We have directed the closure of PRC Consulate General Houston, in order to protect American intellectual property and American’s [sic] private information.”

“China’s Houston consulate is a massive spy center, forcing it to close is long overdue,” Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) said in a tweet, later adding: “China’s consulate in Houston is not a diplomatic facility. It is the central node of the Communist Party’s vast network of spies & influence operations in the United States. Now that building must close & the spies have 72 hours to leave or face arrest. This needed to happen.”

On Tuesday, the Trump administration gave China about 72 hours to “cease all operations and events” at the consulate.

On Thursday, the Department of Justice announced that the FBI had arrested three Chinese visa holders suspected of having memberships in the People’s Liberation Army. A fourth research visa fraud suspect who was reportedly being protected in the Chinese consulate in San Francisco was taken into custody on Friday.

The People’s Liberation Army is under the command of the Central Military Commission of the Communist Party of China.

“Four individuals have recently been charged with visa fraud in connection with a scheme to lie about their status as members of the People’s Republic of China’s military forces, the People’s Liberation Army (PLA), while in the United States conducting research. Three of these individuals have been arrested and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is seeking the fourth who is a fugitive from justice currently being harbored at the Chinese Consulate in San Francisco,” the Department of Justice stated on Thursday.

The DOJ said of the suspect who is being kept in the Chinese consulate, Juan Tang, that she is a uniformed officer of the PLA Air Force (PLAAF). The DOJ continued, “As set forth in the complaint, the FBI found a photograph of Tang in a military uniform and references to Tang’s employment at the Air Force Military Medical University, which has also been known as the Fourth Military Medical University. The FBI interviewed Tang on June 20. Although Tang denied having been a member of the military, an additional photograph of Tang in a different PLA military uniform was found on electronic media seized pursuant to a search warrant.”

On Friday, CNN noted that Tang Juan “‘was a fugitive from justice until last night,’ a senior Justice Department official said, but has now been charged in Sacramento.”

Gunshot To Head, Parkinson’s Disease, Deaths In Palm Beach Incorrectly Attributed To COVID-19

Gunshot To Head, Parkinson’s Disease, Deaths In Palm Beach Incorrectly Attributed To COVID-19

Tyler Durden

Fri, 07/24/2020 – 16:44

When it comes to overinflated coronavirus death counts, we recently outlined how a fatal motorcycle accident in Florida was added to the state’s COVID-19 death toll. Still, no precise data shows just how overinflated death counts are on a state by state level.

We have to rely on real journalism, such as a new report via CBS12 West Palm, that made a shocking discovery about deaths being incorrectly attributed to the virus.

CBS12 said a 60-year old man who died from a gunshot blast to the head was labeled as a virus death. A 90-year old man who fell and died from a hip fracture was another. Even a 77-year old woman who died of Parkinson’s disease was somehow labeled a virus-related death.

h/t CBS12

CBS12’s I-Team investigated these statistical anomalies by combing through the Medical Examiner’s spreadsheet of all people who recently died of the virus in Palm Beach County.

What they found are "eight cases in which a person was counted as a COVID death, but did not have COVID listed as a cause of contributing cause of death."

For more color on how a COVID-19 death is determined, it must be an immediate or underlying cause of death. So a gunshot to the head, a falling accident, and or Parkinson’s disease certainly doesn’t fit the defined criteria of classifying these deaths as virus-related.

Residents in South Florida are furious about the overinflated death toll:

"I think it is completely misleading," said Rachel Eade, a Palm Beach County resident who has been researching the same issue.

"We need to remove those cases that are not COVID exclusive, and we need to be giving people that information," said Eade, who is one of the plaintiffs suing Palm Beach County for its mask mandate.

Eade told the I-Team she’s been digging around in medical reports and said, out of the 581 deaths, only 169 deaths are listed as COVID-19 without any contributing factors.

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis recently told Fox News that his staff has been informed about virus deaths being incorrectly reported.

DeSantis said, "I think the public, when they see the fatality figures, they want to know who died because they caught COVID."

"If you’re just in a car accident – and we have had other instances where there is no real relationship, and it’s been counted, we want to look at that and see how pervasive that issue is as well."

Palm Beach County Medical Examiner’s office and Operations Manager Paul Petrino told the I-Team the eight cases were, in fact, errors. He said his medical staff was in the process of relabeling those deaths.

Readers may recall, we pointed out last week how virus deaths could be overinflated, here’s  Dr. Scott Jensen on Fox News in April providing more color on the situation.

If virus-related deaths are being overinflated in Florida, is the same being done in other states?

Do Global Elites Commit Crimes Against Children?

The issue of how some of the most privileged people in the world treat children is getting more traction. After the arrests of Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell, millions of ordinary people are critically examining the actions of Hollywood celebrities, titans of business, powerful politicians, media corporations, and other elite groups. Scenarios that previously seemed unthinkable are becoming more thinkable by the day.

Chrissy Teigen is a popular model and actress who’s married to singer John Legend. She enjoys a lucrative career appearing in commercials and TV shows and hawking a product line at Target. She’s also a prolific writer of tweets that feature her disturbing fantasies about children. Here are some Chrissy tweets:

“I just saw a baby that looked like a porn star. Like a trashy do-anything porn star. Is this wrong to think?” and “seeing little girls do splits half naked is just…. I want to put myself in jail. #toddlersandtiaras”

Recently, alert readers unearthed thousands of Teigen’s child-centered tweets and started swarming Twitter with questions. Some of those questions probed into whether Teigen ever had a relationship with the deceased child trafficker Jeffrey Epstein. Teigen responded by blocking one million people, deleting 60,000 tweets, and claiming she was the victim of heartless internet trolls. Conveniently for her, the media sided with Teigen. This article in USA Today, for instance, painted a sympathetic portrait of Teigen as an innocent woman under vicious attack, while scrupulously avoiding quoting any of Teigen’s actual tweets.

Who could have imagined this bizarre photo of accused child trafficker Ghislaine Maxwell and disgraced Oscar winner Kevin Spacey relaxing on the thrones of Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip? Yet, here it is. The Queen’s son, Prince Andrew, was a friend of Epstein for decades, and is currently wanted for questioning by U.S. prosecutors. His relationship with Epstein was well-known in royal circles but tolerated until Epstein’s arrest made it too uncomfortable.

In fact, Jeffrey Epstein remained a highly sought-after companion among the elite, even after his release from jail on sex offender charges. A dinner at his New York mansion was attended by such media luminaries as Katie Couric, Chelsea Handler, and George Stephanopolous, whose wife just publicly urged parents to watch porn with their children.

And it wasn’t just media stars who loved Epstein. Bill Gates, who has endowed the world’s largest charitable organization, visited Epstein many times and maintained close ties through his staff. Harvard University gave Epstein his own office, phone line, and unlimited access, after he donated $9 million for scientific research. And Harvard faculty visited Epstein in his various homes and in jail and flew on his private planes.

As the magnitude of the Epstein-Maxwell saga reaches the public, it’s becoming harder for elites to haughtily wave away attention to their behavior. In previous times, the story about Wayfair that raced across social media last week might never even have surfaced. But in today’s environment, this odd development inspired countless TikTok videos, outraged tweets and media denials.

Wayfair is a popular online purveyor of household goods, which attracted interest when some internet sleuths noticed strangely labeled items. Some ordinary looking cabinets, pillows, and baby goods were selling for absurdly inflated prices. Even more remarkably, each item had an unusual name which matched the name of a recently missing kid. For instance, the Duplessis Zodiac pillow, which was priced at $9,999.99, matched the name of 13-year-old Samara Duplessis, who had just gone missing in Southfield, Michigan. The Samiyah storage cabinet, retailing for $12,899.99, matched the name of 17-year-old Samiyah Mumin, recently missing from Columbus, Ohio.

Wayfair denied it.  But internet investigators speculated that Wayfair was fronting for human trafficking operators and continued to probe its personnel and history. But instantly, as soon as the story broke, the media jumped in, proclaiming it a “false conspiracy” which was “baseless,” “unfounded,” and “debunked.” On what basis was the Wayfair story debunked?

The media remains remarkably uncurious about NXIVM, the sordid sex cult whose founder, Keith Rainiere, faces life in prison for sex trafficking. This grotesque saga has everything you could want for tabloid excitement: underage sex slaves, Hollywood stars, one of the richest families in the world, connections to powerful politicians and the Dalai Lama. Yet the public remains largely unaware of NXIVM. Has any journalist asked Senator Kristin Gillibrand what her father was doing as an NXIVM member and its highly paid lawyer? Has anyone asked Hillary Clinton why sex cult members were illegally raising money for her campaign? Has anyone asked the Dalai Lama why he took a $1 million fee to endorse a sex cult that branded women like cattle?  Have any mainstream journalists investigated what was being done to children at NXIVM’s international day care centers?

Unfortunately, the elites’ unsettling relationship to crimes against children is too extensive to catalogue here. Oprah promoted Brazilian “holy man” John of God, now a convicted rapist who impregnated underage sex slaves to sell their babies on the black market. Meryl Streep led a standing ovation at the Oscars for Roman Polanski, who drugged and raped a 12-year-old girl. BBC boss Mark Thompson helped to cover up violent assaults by TV host Jimmy Savile, who attacked more than 500 children.  Thompson is now CEO of the New York Times.

In this unprecedented time when authorities are asking us to trust them as they strip away our freedom, an honest appraisal of their trustworthiness is long overdue. The American people deserve to know what some of the privileged elites are doing to our children.
