Beer Countess Who Flew Epstein’s ‘Lolita Express’ 32 Times Quits Child Protection Charity

The wife of a British aristocrat and frequent flyer on Jeffrey Epstein’s ‘Lolita Express’ has stepped down from her role volunteering for the UK’s National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children (NSPCC).

Clare Hazell – an interior designer who became the Countess of Iveagh after her 2001 marriage to the 4th Earl of Guinnes (of the brewing dynasty) – took 32 flights on Epstein’s infamous airplane between 1998 and 2000, which included "trips to his homes in New York, Florida, the Caribbean and New Mexico," according to the Daily Mail. Epstein accompanied Hazell on all but one of the trips aboard the plane, per flight logs.

Ms Hazell was studying at Ohio State University in the 1990s and reportedly had a modelling agency and an apartment in Columbus, Ohio.

The friend described her as being at Epstein’s ‘beck and call’, saying how mutual plans would be cancelled immediately if she was needed by Epstein and Maxwell. –Daily Mail

Hazell, now known as Lady Iveagh, worked for Epstein ‘Madam’ Ghislaine Maxwell according to accuser Maria Farmer, who says she also interacted with Iveagh at the Ohio estate of Victoria’s Secret boss Leslie Wexner. Farmer said that Hazell "liked having nice drinks, piles of cash and nice outfits." She was listed in Jeffrey Epstein’s famous Black Book as "Clare Hazell-Iveagh."

Another Epstein accuser, Virginia Giuffre, accused Hazel of sexually abusing her:

Hazell, formerly the President of the NSPCC’s West Suffolk branch hosted events for the charity at Elveden Hall – a lavish estate in Suffolk, England owned by the Guinness family since 1894 in which several scenes from Eyes Wide Shut were filmed. The estate now operates as a farm, growing root vegetables and cereals on the 22,000 acre property.

The NSPCC immediately sought to distance themselves from Hazell, who a spokeswoman told the Mail "had a local volunteer fundraising role within a small branch based in the West Suffolk area," adding "She no longer volunteers with us."

Maxwell and Hazell reportedly met in a bar, where Maxwell introduced her to Epstein. And according to another Mail article from July 3, US prosecutors want to have a chat with Hazell.

According to the Sunday Mirror, describing Hazell anonymously:

The woman – now married to a multi-millionaire – jetted between his homes in New York, the Caribbean, Florida and New Mexico.

She was among guests at his ranch Zorro – where pictures of young girls adorned the walls and pinhole cameras were “everywhere”.

Lawyers for Epstein’s victims have asked to interview the woman, who featured in his “little black book” of social contacts.

Attorney Josh Schiller told the Sunday Mirror he has contacted the unnamed woman at her UK home.

“I can confirm that we have already asked to interview her,” he told us. –Mirror

Much like Epstein pal Prince Andrew, Hazell has not been charged with any of the crimes she’s been accused of, however we somehow doubt she’ll be speaking with US prosecutors anytime soon.

Senate Transcripts: Joe Biden Quoted N-Word 13 Times in 1985 Hearings

The presumptive 2020 Democrat presidential nominee, former U.S. Vice President Joe Biden, used the N-word 13 times in a 1985 hearing series, U.S. Senate transcripts reveal.

Video of one such instance where Biden used the N-word twice when he was quoting someone else already surfaced late last month. The Senate hearing series during which Biden repeatedly used the offensive term was when he was questioning William Reynolds, then-President Ronald Reagan’s assistant attorney general for civil rights, when Reynolds was under consideration for a promotion to be associate attorney general. In particular, Biden was asking Reynolds about his role in providing clearance for a redistricting plan in Louisiana that courts later struck down.

A memo was submitted to Reynolds before he approved the redistricting plan that included a racist quote from someone described as a “key legislator” in defeating the alternative redistricting plan. According to this memo, that legislator, then-Republican Rep. Charles Emile Bruneau of New Orleans, allegedly said he opposed the left’s desired redistricting plan for Louisiana in starkly racial terms. We already have a n***** mayor (in New Orleans), and we don’t need another n***** bigshot,” Bruneau was quoted in that document as saying.

In his line of questioning Reynolds in these 1985 hearings—which stretched over multiple days—Biden repeatedly brought up this exact quote and kept using the N-word. In fact, U.S. Senate transcripts from the time demonstrate that Biden used it a grand total of 13 times.

The first instance occurred during the morning of June 4, 1985, when Biden first used the term twice. A later instance, from the next day, June 5, has already had widely circulating video of Biden reciting the derogatory term from the quote twice. While some people circulating the video left out the context that includes proof Biden was not using the N-word himself but quoting someone else saying it, the mere question as to if that is even acceptable has dogged politicians for some time. Sen. Bernie Sanders of Vermont, for instance, faced questions last year over his use of the word in a book in the late 1990s, especially from leftists and Democrats on Twitter:

In fact, MSNBC’s Joy Reid—who on Monday evening takes over the primetime slot that former anchor Chris Matthews vacated—has repeatedly argued publicly that it is never acceptable for white men to use the N-word even when quoting someone else. Biden will appear on Reid’s new primetime program, The ReidOut, at 7:00 p.m. on Monday night—and it is unclear if she will ask him about this. Biden’s campaign has not responded to requests for comment from Breitbart News about these instances of his repeated use of the N-word in U.S. Senate hearings. But Reid has called out other politicians, including former U.S. Rep. Joe Walsh (R-IL), when they have used it and has a long history of being opposed to any white people using it in any context, even if quoting someone else:

Reid has even floated the possibility of a tape of President Donald Trump saying the racist term, a tape which has never materialized despite constant rumors from the establishment media and the left:

Plenty more examples exist of Reid calling out the use of the N-word in all forms on her Twitter page. And even though that rumored Trump tape has never emerged–possibly because it might not exist despite all the hopes from the leftist media–she does have the Democrats’ presidential candidate on her debut primetime show on Monday and plenty of evidence contained here of Biden using the term she says white men like him must never use under any circumstances.

Two instances of Biden using the term, which surfaced in the videos spreading around social media, found their way into pieces from establishment media figures such as Mediaite’s Tommy Christopher and into an attack ad against Biden from the outside pro-Trump group, Committee to Defend the President. That group mentions the first instance in a recent campaign ad, saying Biden was “caught on the record repeating the N-word twice” in the middle of listing out a string of issues Biden has had with race over the years:

The first instance came in the morning of June 4, 1985, when Biden was questioning Reynolds and quoted from the document using the N-word twice in his first bit of questions for the Reagan appointee. Later that afternoon, Biden—again when quoting that document citing the term to the Louisiana state lawmaker—repeated the word five more times, according to Senate transcripts. Those transcripts demonstrate that Biden used the term again the next day, two more times, in a June 5 hearing. Then on June 18, 1985, in a follow-up hearing, the Senate transcripts demonstrate he used the N-word when quoting that original document four additional times in three different instances. That means, in total, during these 1985 hearings, Biden used the N-word 13 total times.

The context of Biden repeatedly using this word happened on the backdrop of his laying the groundwork for his first run for the White House, a doomed 1988 presidential campaign. While he did not even make it all the way to the actual primaries in 1988—he dropped out in 1987 amid concerns he plagiarized throughout his early political career—Biden was in the mid-1980s barnstorming the American South, showing common cause with segregationists concerning racial issues.

In 1986 in Alabama, for example, as Breitbart News has reported, Biden downplayed civil rights as he prepared to run for president. He spent years before that currying favor with segregationists, and also in 1986 in a speech in Baltimore to the NAACP, he pushed for the group to “move beyond” busing as an issue to integrate American schools. It cost him politically at the beginning of the Democrat primaries as Sen. Kamala Harris (D-CA), his one-time opponent who is now vying to be his running mate, attacked Biden on the debate stage at the first Democrat primary debate over busing.

CBS Hides Vile, Marxist, Dictator-Loving Truth of BLM Founders

CBS This Morning rightly honored the life and legacy of civil rights icon John Lewis on Monday. Yet, they dishonored this tribute with a softball interview of the radical, Marxist, dictator-supporting co-founders of Black Lives Matter. Co-host Gayle King cheered, “Ahead, we’ll take a look at how Congressman Lewis inspired the next generation to two co-founders of the Black Lives Matter movement.”
Tony Dokoupil introduced the interview this way: “Congressman John Lewis’s legacy has inspired a new generation of civil rights activists including those in the Black Lives Matter movement.”

Who are Patrisse Cullors and Opal Tometi? Tometi is a fan of the brutal thug Nicolás Maduro, the dictator of Venezuela. In 2015, she tweeted this: “Currently in Venezuela. Such a relief to be in a place where there is intelligent political discourse.”

Mike Gonzalez and Andrew Olivastro wrote in the July 1, 2020 New York Post:
[In 2015,] Tometi was hobnobbing with Venezuela’s Marxist dictator Nicolás Maduro, of whose regime she wrote: “In these last 17 years, we have witnessed the Bolivarian Revolution champion participatory democracy and construct a fair, transparent election system recognized as among the best in the world.”
Millions of Venezuelans suffering under Maduro’s murderous misrule presumably couldn’t be reached for comment. What about Patrisse Cullors? The MRC’s Kyle Drennen wrote a fact sheet on Black Lives Matter on July 6. He explained:
– Black Lives Matter was founded in 2013 by “three radical Black organizers.” One of those co-founders, Patrisse Cullors, revealed in a 2015 interview that she and her comrades were “trained Marxists.”
– Cullors was mentored for years by Eric Mann, a member of the far-left domestic terrorist organization Weather Underground. She also has named wanted cop-killer Assata Shakur (Real name: Joanne Chesimard) as a “leader” that “inspires” her.
Yet, NONE of this came up in the CBS interview. Instead, reporter Jericka Duncan tossed softballs like this: “What did you all learn from [John Lewis] and how are using his message to continue your efforts in Black Lives Matter?… What do you think Congressman Lewis is saying right now?”
Outrageously, Duncan didn’t say anything when Tometi said this was her goal: “Continue to fight for justice and freedom and equity, and do it in a nonviolent way, that love is the foundation.” How does the murderous regime of Maduro fit with love and non-violence? Looting and violence?
On July 10, co-host King enthused that “we all need to take a class” from another radical BLM activist. This woman said of looting, “Burn this bitch to the ground!” Make no mistake about it, CBS is lying to you when it comes to who and what BLM really is.

Toyota and Home Advisor sponsored CBS’s propaganda and efforts to hide the radical nature of BLM. Click on the links to let them know how you feel. Here is the Twitter handle of the journalist who interviewed the two BLM co-founders: @Jerickaduncan.

GAYLE KING: Ahead, we’ll take a look at how Congressman Lewis inspired the next generation to two co-founders of the Black Lives Matter movement.

TONY DOKOUPIL: Congressman John Lewis’s legacy has inspired a new generation of civil rights activists including those in the Black Lives Matter movement. Jericka Duncan spoke with two co-founders of the movement, Patrisse Cullors and Opal Tometi.

JERICKA DUNCAN: What did you all learn from him and how are using his message to continue your efforts in Black Lives Matter?
PATRISSE CULLORS: You know, I think I learned that this is a long haul fight and struggle, that the work that we do matters most if we stay inside of it and if we recognize that nothing changes over night.

OPAL TOMETI: So much of what we get to do in our day is because of the tremendous work that our ancestors and freedom fighters before us did. And we stand on the shoulders of so many who came before us.
CULLORS: I saw his ability and capacity to behold the weight of the struggle but also there was a levity to how he showed up. I think that’s incredibly powerful for me as an organizer who’s been in this struggle, but also for other younger organizers, younger than us, who are newly joining this fight.
DUNCAN: What do you think Congressman Lewis is saying right now?
TOMETI: Continue to get in good trouble. Continue to get in the way. Continue to fight for justice and freedom and equity, and do it in a nonviolent way, that love is the foundation.
DUNCAN: We also talked about this moment right here which we just heard Speaker Pelosi mention. And what it meant to those co-founders of Black Lives Matter. It’s that image of Congressman Lewis standing strong there on Black Lives Matter plaza. You know the co-founder, one of the co-founders of Black Lives Matter, Patrisse Cullors put it to me like this. She said what comes to mind when she saw that photo is that we are our ancestors wildest dreams. And she even said that what made it special is that Congressman Lewis was that ancestor, but he got to see his dream to fruition before his death.

Suspect In Killing Of Federal Judge’s Son Found Dead By Suicide In New York

Suspect In Killing Of Federal Judge’s Son Found Dead By Suicide In New York

Tyler Durden

Mon, 07/20/2020 – 13:24

Update (1324ET): Last night’s killing in North Brunswick has dominated the news cycle on Monday as numerous ‘experts’ have stepped forward to denounce the connection between the shooting and a civil suit against Deutsche Bank that Judge Salas had recently been charged with overseeing.

Now, authorities are telling media that the suspect in the shooting has been found dead via suicide in Liberty, NY.

That’s an unexpectedly morbid turn. But there’s more: The suspect was a white man (remember, lower-case "w" for white) who wore a face covering and a FedEx uniform, law enforcement sources told ABC News, and he used an ordinary car to make a getaway.

But here’s the real twist. Though his name hasn’t been released, authorities said the suspect was an attorney who once argued a case before Judge Salas, back in 2015. Police told reporters that they suspect the suspect killed himself with a self-inflicted gunshot.

Here’s more from ABC:

The suspect was later found dead of an apparently self-inflicted gunshot wound near Liberty, New York, multiple law enforcement sources told ABC News. A municipal employee discovered the body in a car.

The deceased suspect was an attorney who had a case before Judge Salas in 2015, sources said. A FedEx package addressed to Judge Salas was discovered in the car, sources said.

"As a judge, she had threats from time to time, but everyone is saying that recently there had not been any," said Mayor Womack, who is personal friends with the judge and her husband.

FedEx Spokesman Jim Masilak said in a statement, "We are aware of the media reports and are fully cooperating with investigating authorities."

It sounds plausible enough. However, in a world where everything with even the most remote connection to Epstein inspires intrigue and suspicion, we wouldn’t be surprised if the authorities’ eventual report produces more questions than answers.

In addition to the FBI, the New Jersey State Police, the North Brunswick Police and the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s office are also involved in the investigation, which isn’t over yet, apparently. The US Marshals have been called upon to provide a detail for the judge.

* * *

When we first spotted headlines about a lone gunman’s lethal assault on the home of a federal judge in New Jersey, we feared this was just another example of how criminals have been emboldened by the nationwide backlash against law enforcement embodied by the ‘defund the police’ movement.

But that was before we learned that the judge targeted in the attack – Newark-based US federal judge Esther Salas – had been assigned to a Deutsche Bank/Epstein lawsuit just four days before the attack.

The shooting occurred Sunday night at around 5pmET. Salas 20-year-old son Daniel Anderl, a student, opened the door at the family home in North Brunswick after hearing the doorbell ring. The man outside appeared to be a FedEx employee, according to media reports.

Almost immediately, the gunman started blasting, shooting and killing Anderl, and badly wounding his father, Mark Anderl, 63, a prominent defense attorney in the area. Salas has reportedly received threats from time to time, but local press reported that Salas hadn’t received any threats recently.

Seated in Newark, Salas’ most high-profile cases recently involved the tax evasion prosecution of Joe Giudice, the husband of RHNJ star Theresa Giudice. She also spared a murderous gang leader from the death penalty over what she ruled was an intellectual disability that made him ineligible for capital punishment.

But Salas is now presided over an ongoing lawsuit brought by Deutsche Bank investors who claim the company made false and misleading statements about its AML policies while failing to monitor "high-risk" customers like sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. Since the arrest of Ghislaine Maxwell, public interest in all things Epstein has been revived.

The FBI revealed last night that it will be spearheading the investigation into the slaying.

Investigators said they’re looking into any connections to the Epstein/DB lawsuit, while also investigating any connections to her husband’s work as a criminal defense attorney.

The FBI’s announcement was met with a sarcastic response by many on twitter.

The FBI says it’s looking for one suspect. The Marshals Service is also carrying out its own investigation, since the agency takes its responsibility to protect federal officials "very seriously".

So far, authorities have refused to confirm that the Epstein connection might have been a motive. A friend of the judge’s said Salas hadn’t received any threats recently.

Salas, 51, was New Jersey’s first Hispanic woman to serve as a US district judge. She was nominated by Barack Obama in 2010, and confirmed by the Senate the following year.

Michelle Malkin beaten by BLM thugs and prevented from speaking at Denver pro-police rally

Conservative author and activist Michelle Malkin was brutally assaulted and prevented from speaking as she made her way to the speaker’s platform at a pro-police public rally in downtown Denver on Sunday. The patriotic event, the 6th Annual Law Enforcement Appreciation Day billed as “family friendly,” was advertised in advance on social media including at Malkin’s Twitter, where she has 2.2 million followers.

Malkin was live streaming the event from her cell phone on Periscope Sunday afternoon as the situation deteriorated after masked thugs wearing Black Lives Matter t-shirts assaulted two speakers and then set upon Malkin. A diminutive child of immigrants from the Philippines who legally moved to the U.S. in the late 1960s, Malkin, who was born in Philadelphia in 1970, describes herself as a “little brown woman” with a “big mouth.” Malkin linked to the entire 35 minute long Periscope video at her Twitter.

On the video, which had been viewed over 150,000  times by early Monday, several individuals identifying themselves as Black Lives Matter accost Malkin as one or more of them unfurl collapsible batons and begin pushing and beating on Malkin. In the process, she loses a shoe and is eventually assisted in escaping to a waiting car by the event’s security volunteers, at which point the video feed ends. Malkin was understandably distraught at this unanticipated violent turn of events and expressed frustration that Denver police, who were visibly present in the area, did nothing to stop the attacks or to allow the peaceful pro-police rally to continue.

At 3:55 PM MDT Sunday, right after being prevented from speaking, Malkin tweeted:

So @jaredpolis [Colorado Democrat Governor] @DenverPolice  [Denver] Chief Pazen, are you ok with pro-police patriots being swarmed, targeted and assaulted in a clearly orchestrated attack??? I caught it all on video and recorded the faces of the brutal animals. Please @realDonaldTrump – we need LAW & ORDER!!! S.O.S!

Outrageous violence. These tyrannical, left-wing anarchists hate free speech. If you do not agree with them, they believe you must be beaten down – literally.

Until recently, violence of this kind to suppress conservative free speech was largely limited to the nation’s leftist-dominated college campuses. Obviously, a new page has now been turned as many of America’s leading cities – all of them under Democrat party control – have abandoned enforcing laws big and small. The expression of free speech is now openly threatened off the campuses. Which one of the Bill of Rights will be next?

Watch: Joe Biden Lectures Black Pastor Who Called Out Politicians Pandering to Churches

During a Senate hearing in 1991, then-U.S. Sen. Joe Biden (D-DE) lectured a black pastor who called out politicians for pandering to his church congregation during election seasons.

Rev. Amos Brown of the National Baptist Convention was opposed to Clarence Thomas’s nomination to the U.S. Supreme Court, and at one point, critiqued politicians who appear at black churches before elections looking for votes.

“We preach to thousands every Sunday morning,” Brown, the pastor of San Francisco’s Third Baptist Church, said of the clergy organizations represented at the hearing.

“I might say parenthetically here that maybe you should be sensitized to that by now, but when election time comes around, basically you politicians will make a beeline to the black church, but not in your white church on Sunday morning,” he said, looking up at Biden.

“Rev. Brown,” Biden interjected, “I have probably spent as much time in your black church as maybe even you have sometimes, on occasion.”

“Because you know that is where the votes are and that is where the voting population is,” Brown responded.

“I am very familiar with your church,” Biden lectured. “Now, what I want to know, though, without giving me political advice on where I should and shouldn’t be…”

Brown jumped in, “No, I am not giving you advice. I am stating a reality.”

“I want you to answer the question, if you would, please,” Biden said before Brown backed down.

“Yes, sir,” Brown replied.

Kayleigh McEnany is so effective that the MSM is now lying by deceptively editing her comments

Yesterday saw a new low in irresponsible media reporting on a briefing by a presidential press secretary.  Many media outlets outright lied about what Kayleigh McEnany said by cutting her off in mid-sentence in a comment on school reopening, thereby creating an impression that was opposite of the truth.

Becket Adams of the Washington Examiner explains and presents multiple examples of lies reported by the propaganda media:

White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany on Wednesday tried to explain President Trump’s position that schools in the United States should re-open sooner rather than later.

“The president has said, unmistakably, that he wants schools to open. And I was just in the [Oval Office] talking to him about that. And when he says ‘open,’ he means, ‘open in full’ – kids being able to attend each and every day at their school,” she told reporters at a White House press briefing.

“The science should not stand in the way of this,” McEnany continued. “And as Dr. Scott Atlas, and I thought this was a good quote, [said], ‘Of course we can do it. Everyone else in the western world, our peer nations, are doing it. We are the outlier here.’ The science is very clear on this that, for instance, you look at the [Journal of the American Medical Association] pediatric study of 46 pediatric hospitals in North America that said the risk of critical illness from COVID is far less for children than that of seasonal flu.”

The White House press secretary concluded, “The science is on our side here. We encourage for localities and states to just simply follow the science. Open our schools.”

Watch a one-minute video:

Here are examples of reporters who excised the statement “The science is on our side here. We encourage for localities and states to just simply follow the science,” and simply reported the first part, “The science should not stand in the way of this,” as if she were saying to ignore the science.

The White House Press Secretary on Trump’s push to reopen schools: ‘The science should not stand in the way of this,’” said CNN’s Jim Acosta, conveniently omitting some fairly necessary context.

CNN’s Ana Cabrera claimed, “WH Press Secretary: ‘When he (Trump) says open, he means open – in full – kids being able to attend each and every day at their school,’ McEnany told reporters at the press briefing. ‘The science should not stand in the way of this.’”

“From the White House podium: ‘Science should not stand in the way’ of reopening schools,” CBS News White House correspondent Weijia Jiang said elsewhere.

Reporter Jim Heath, who brags in his Twitter media profile that he is a Walter Cronkite Award-winner, said, “‘The science should not stand in the way of this.’ You just can’t make this stuff up. 108 days until the election.”

“‘The science should not stand in the way of this,’ [McEnany] says of fully re-opening schools,” said NBC News’s Josh Lederman.

The Daily Beast claimed in its headline from the briefing, “Kayleigh McEnany: ‘Science Should Not Stand in the Way’ of Reopening Schools.”

Tweeted CBS News, “McEnany: ‘The president has said unmistakably that he wants schools to open…When he says open, he means open and full, kids being able to attend each and every day at their school. The science should not stand in the way of this.’”

“The White House press secretary says ‘science should not stand in the way’ of reopening schools,” the New York Times claimed in the headline to a live blog post.

The Guardian similarly claimed on its live blog, “White House: ‘The science should not stand in the way’ of reopening schools.”

“White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany on school reopenings: ‘The science should not stand in the way of this,’” said the Washington Post’s official Twitter account.

The Washington Post also published a headline that reads, “‘The science should not stand in the way’ of schools reopening, White House press secretary says.”

Almost the only honest reporter from an MSM outlet on this campaign of lies was Jake Tapper of CNN, who tweeted:

Kayleigh McEnany has been devastatingly effective as President Trump’s press secretary, holding the media accountable for their lies, and letting viewers of her press briefings know what questions the pressies are not asking but should. This campaign of lies is evidence that the MSM knows that she is threat to their ability to fulfill their political function as propagandists and have decided to untie in lies about her.

Horowitz: New study shows 17 years of potential T cell immunity in SARS-infected patients

God has a way of prepping the human body for potentially deadly viruses to somewhat mitigate the amount of death we’d otherwise suffer every year from all sorts of microbiological threats. COVID-19 is not different.

The latest research on T cells, white blood cells produced by the immune system to ward off infections through memory of past pathogens, show that even those patients who never develop antibodies or have lost them over time will retain T cell immunity that remembers to fight off coronaviruses in the future. Moreover, the study provides new evidence for the theory that herd immunity could be achieved at an approximately 20% infection rate for most cities, thanks to T cell cross-immunity from other coronaviruses.

The latest version of panic porn being propagated by the media is that many people don’t produce antibodies and that even more of those infected will lose them over time, potentially opening them up to reinfection.

Why we automatically assume the worst of this virus and base our response on the idea of this virus defying all known patterns remains a mystery, but this study from Singapore should place the onus on naysayers to show why this form of coronavirus would be different from others.

Researchers in Singapore conducted a study, first out in preprint in May and now peer-reviewed and published at Nature, of 23 patients who recovered from SARS in 2003 and found that all 23 retained memory T cells induced by that original pathogen still in their systems. That in itself is terrific news to find this immunity after 17 years. Then they studied 36 convalescent SARS-CoV-2 patients and found that they had also produced similar T cells. While SARS-CoV-2 is a new virus and distinct from SARS-CoV-1, there is strong reason to believe that T cell memory produced by the body to protect from future relapses of this virus would not be weaker or more short-lived than T cell memory from SARS-1.

If the implications of this research turn out to be true, it would mean that all those infected with SARS-Cov-2 will retain at least partial immunity to the virus. This doesn’t necessarily mean they will be fully immune. This would likely mean, for many previously infected patients, that they could theoretically test positive again with a PCR test, but the T cells would ward off the symptoms and reduce their infective capabilities to transmit to others.

But there’s more good news, not just for those who have already gotten the virus but for many who may get it. Very few people in America have been exposed to SARS and would therefore not have that immunity. However, researchers have long suspected that there is cross-immunity from other coronaviruses – four of which are forms of the common cold that could account for anywhere between 15% and 30% of colds on a given year. The cross-immunity theory has been proven across other pathogens and was established during the H1N1 outbreak in 2009 when many people appeared to be immune, presumably, to similar prior outbreaks of seasonal H1N1 flues.

Cross-immunity with other coronaviruses was at least partially confirmed when the researchers in the Singapore study found the samples of T cells from convalescent SARS-1 patients to have cross-reactive potential against SARS-CoV-2 during lab simulations. To test this out further on more common forms of coronavirus – OC43, HKU1, NL63, and 229E – they took samples from 37 random blood donors who had no history of SARS, COVID-19, or contact with SARS/COVID-19 patients. They found that 19 of the 37 had T cells that were reactive to SARS-CoV-2, even though they had no known exposure to this virus.

How can that be? A large portion of the population likely has at least partial cross-immunity through T cell memory cells induced by contracting one of those four common cold coronaviruses. This would explain why so many places seem to experience a burnout of the virus after it reaches only 15%-20% prevalence, according to serology tests. Yes, only 15%-20% have antibodies, but many more likely have cross-immunity through T cells, as Nobel laureate Michael Levitt, Oxford epidemiologist Sunetra Gupta, and Stanford Professor John Ioannidis predicted.

This harmonizes with a previous study from the La Joya Institute of Immunology in California that showed such cross-reactive responses in 40%-60% of random blood donors

This might also explain why so many people are found to be asymptomatic and possibly many more have had the virus asymptomatically but never tested positive for antibodies. Studies have found as many as 40% of asymptomatic patients lose antibodies after the early convalescent period. Thus, just because you find an antibody serology test implying only 5%-15% of the population has antibodies doesn’t mean that an even greater portion has not already been exposed to the virus but only produced T cells to ward it off, and a certain greater percentage never even became infected with the virus because they had full immunity. A study of 200 blood donors in Sweden found twice as many samples with T cells as samples with antibodies.

Also, the same reason why someone initially got the virus asymptomatically, likely because of T cell memory produced by cross-immunity, is the same reason they will continue to be free of symptoms in the future, even if they don’t possesses antibodies.

The number of people who have this cross-immunity is likely different throughout the world. One recent preprint study analyzing T cell immunity in blood donors in Germany detected “Cross-reactive SARS-CoV-2 T-cell epitopes revealed preexisting T-cell responses in 81% of unexposed individuals.” Accordingly, many people might stop making the antibodies after a few months or years, especially following a mild infection, but their immune system produces the cells that remember the recipe for defeating the virus if it returns.

While we are still learning more about this virus and the human immune system response to it every day, these findings should make us optimistic in the long run, unless the media has made us immune to any good news.

AR Gun Store Owner Posts Hilarious Sign Mocking Gov’t for New Mask Resolution

While many state and local governments nationwide are mandating that citizens wear masks amid the coronavirus outbreak, many of those mandates come with exceptions. Some areas that have mandated facial coverings, for example, offer exemptions for those with health issues or other problems that might preclude them from covering their face. The mandates, and the…
