NY Times Spews Marxist Screed on ‘How to Save Democracy from Capitalism’

The New York Times hates American capitalism, and nothing makes that clearer than its Sunday print newspaper.
The Times published a (count-it) 16-page leftist screed against American capitalism in its “SundayReview” item headlined: “The Economy We Need.” The sub-headline tipped off readers to its radical agenda: “How to save democracy from capitalism and save capitalism from itself.” [Emphasis added.]
The collection of leftist columns took different angles to denigrate American capitalism. The Times Editorial Board kicked the indoctrination off with a pro-Marxist editorial: “Picture the nation as a pirate crew: In recent decades, the owners of the ship have gradually claimed a larger share of booty at the expense of the crew.”
The piece cited the liberal “Economic Policy Institute [EPI],” which reportedly argued that “employers illegally deprive workers of more than $50 billion in wages each year.” Liberal billionaire George Soros’s foundations had funneled $7,460,000 into EPI between 2003-2017.
.                         (Source: Foundation Center)
The Editorial Board advocated for Big Government socialism, such as how the “federal minimum wage needs to be raised to $15 an hour,” and how the government needs to ensure “that workers are not dependent on employers for affordable" health insurance.
An op-ed on page 3, written by The Times senior editor Kevin Delaney, was headlined “American Workers Deserve Dignity.” Delaney pretended that The Times was “presenting approaches for dismantling the systemic injustices around race and labor that are the legacy of an economy built on slavery.” [Emphasis added.]
Editorial Board member Jeneen Interlandi attacked American capitalism in a column on page 6 headlined in the print edition: “Declaring Health Care Independence.” She advocated for a policy push that emphasized more government control over health care and an upending of employer-based insurance.
Interlandi said “nearly 60 percent of Americans agree that health care is a human right and that the government should be responsible for ensuring that as many people as possible can access it when they need to.” She continued: ”[T]o truly realize this ideal, the country will have to stop making employers the sole source of health care for so many people.”
One idea Interlandi advocated for was a single-payer system: "A single-payer system in which one entity (usually the federal government) covers every citizen regardless of age or employment status, could work." [Emphasis added.]
Another article by PolicyLink Founder Angela Glover Blackwell and CEO Michael McAffee pushed for racial reparations. The print edition headline on page 10 read, “Reparations are Owed.” The piece argued: “A federal reparations policy is unlikely to come soon. But banks and financial institutions don’t have to wait. First, they must apologize for their culpability for and complicity in structural racism.” [Emphasis added.]
University of California’s Chancellor’s Professor of Law and Political Science Richard L. Hasen penned the last nutty piece on page 16, with the print headline, “A 28th Amendment.”
Hasen decried the “decentralized, federalist approach to voting rights.” He argued for a constitutional amendment, which included creating a self-described “nonpartisan administrative body to run federal elections that would automatically register eligible voters to vote, and impose basic standards of voting access and competency everywhere.”

President Trump Gives Powerful Speech at Mt. Rushmore

President Trump gave an inspiring and moving speech on July 3rd amidst the majestic backdrop of Mount Rushmore in South Dakota to a crowd of an estimated 7,500 people. Despite protestors blocking the Iron Mountain Road in an attempt to put a halt on the President’s arrival, he arrived via Marine One. Some of the protestors and agitators were arrested or left begrudgingly and traffic was able to proceed to the amphitheater.

The National news media quickly pounced on the speech with several outlets parroting it as “Divisive” – The New York Times headline read “Trump Uses Mount Rushmore Speech to Deliver Divisive Culture War Message” and the Washington Post headline declared “At Mount Rushmore, Trump exploits social divisions, warns of ‘left-wing cultural revolution’ in dark speech ahead of Independence Day“. ABC and CBS News decried President Trump was attacking the media and China. There were also reports regarding the coronavirus and the open outdoor space of the amphitheater and Governor Noem’s “Personal Responsibility” mandate in reference to masks and social distancing. None of the outlets mentioned the impact of the virus amid the several protests that have been going on for the past several weeks in many cities across the nation.

President Trump was joined by First Lady Melania Trump, Tiffany Trump, Chief of Staff Mark Meadows, South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem, and Master of Ceremonies, South Dakota native Mary Hart among others.

During his speech, the President spoke of the beauty and significance of Mount Rushmore, “There could be no better place to celebrate America’s independence than beneath this magnificent, incredible, majestic mountain and monument to the greatest Americans who have ever lived“. He continued, “Today, we pay tribute to the exceptional lives and extraordinary legacies of George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Abraham Lincoln, and Teddy Roosevelt. I am here as your President to proclaim before the country and before the world. This monument will never be desecrated, these heroes will never be defaced, their legacy will never, ever be destroyed, their achievements will never be forgotten, and Mount Rushmore will stand forever as an eternal tribute to our forefathers and to our freedom. Our Founders launched not only a revolution in government, but a revolution in the pursuit of justice, equality, liberty, and prosperity. No nation has done more to advance the human condition than the United States of America. And no people have done more to promote human progress than the citizens of our great nation“.

“No movement that seeks to dismantle these treasured American legacies can possibly have a love of America at its heart. Can’t have it. No person who remains quiet at the destruction of this resplendent heritage can possibly lead us to a better future“. He added, “Uplifted by the titans of Mount Rushmore, we will find the unity that no one expected; we will make strides that no one thought possible“.

He went to comment on the riots, looting, and vandalism that have erupted across our nation “And yet, as we meet here tonight, there is a growing danger that threatens every blessing our ancestors fought so hard for, struggled, they bled to secure. Our nation is witnessing a merciless campaign to wipe out our history, defame our heroes, erase our values, and indoctrinate our children“. He continued, “Angry mobs are trying to tear down statues of our Founders, deface our most sacred memorials, and unleash a wave of violent crime in our cities. Many of these people have no idea why they are doing this, but some know exactly what they are doing. They think the American people are weak and soft and submissive. But no, the American people are strong and proud, and they will not allow our country, and all of its values, history, and culture, to be taken from them“.

The President spoke on the growing trend of Cancel Culture saying, “One of their political weapons is ‘Cancel Culture’ driving people from their jobs, shaming dissenters, and demanding total submission from anyone who disagrees. This is the very definition of totalitarianism, and it is completely alien to our culture and our values, and it has absolutely no place in the United States of America. This attack on our liberty, our magnificent liberty, must be stopped, and it will be stopped very quickly. We will expose this dangerous movement, protect our nation’s children, end this radical assault, and preserve our beloved American way of life“. He added, “In our schools, our newsrooms, even our corporate boardrooms, there is a new far-left fascism that demands absolute allegiance. If you do not speak its language, perform its rituals, recite its mantras, and follow its commandments, then you will be censored, banished, blacklisted, persecuted, and punished. It’s not going to happen to us“.

President Trump’s continued his speech pointing out that in response to the vandalism of our monuments and statues, arrests have been made, “I am pleased to report that yesterday, federal agents arrested the suspected ringleader of the attack on the statue of Andrew Jackson in Washington, D.C. and, in addition, hundreds more have been arrested. Under the executive order, I signed last week, pertaining to the Veterans’ Memorial Preservation and Recognition Act and other laws, people who damage or deface federal statues or monuments will get a minimum of 10 years in prison. And obviously, that includes our beautiful Mount Rushmore. Our people have a great memory. They will never forget the destruction of statues and monuments to George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, Ulysses S. Grant, abolitionists, and many others”. He added, “The violent mayhem we have seen in the streets of cities that are run by liberal Democrats, in every case, is the predictable result of years of extreme indoctrination and bias in education, journalism, and other cultural institutions”.

He continued, “Against every law of society and nature, our children are taught in school to hate their own country and to believe that the men and women who built it were not heroes, but that were villains. The radical view of American history is a web of lies, all perspective is removed, every virtue is obscured, every motive is twisted, every fact is distorted, and every flaw is magnified until the history is purged and the record is disfigured beyond all recognition“. He went on to say, “The radical ideology attacking our country advances under the banner of social justice. But in truth, it would demolish both justice and society. It would transform justice into an instrument of division and vengeance, and it would turn our free and inclusive society into a place of repression, domination, and exclusion“.

The President concluded his speech by saying, “From this night and from this magnificent place, let us go forward united in our purpose and re-dedicated in our resolve“. “This country will be everything that our citizens have hoped for, for so many years, and that our enemies fear because we will never forget that American freedom exists for American greatness. And that’s what we have: American greatness”.

“My fellow Americans, it is time to speak up loudly and strongly and powerfully and defend the integrity of our country”.

To all, God bless you, God bless your families, God bless our great military, and God bless America”. – President, Donald J. Trump

Soros Doubles 2016 Election Spending, Sends $40 Million to Super PAC

Left-wing billionaire George Soros is set to double his 2016 election spending in an effort to remove President Donald Trump from the White House, according to public records.

The Washington Free Beacon, which was the first outlet to report Soros’s 2020 spending, stated that Soros has poured money “into the coffers of the Democracy PAC, a super PAC that passes money to other liberal PACs working to defeat Trump and congressional Republicans.”

According to public records, the PAC has received $40 million, double the $20 million it received in 2016 throughout the presidential election.

An operative told the Washington Free Beacon:

While Democrats across the country sanctimoniously rail against the influence of dark money in politics, their party’s largest donors are bankrolling a massive web of liberal organizations to get them elected. George Soros’s unprecedented spending further highlights just how dependent Democrats are on contributions from billionaires, despite their hypocritical rhetoric.

Directly, Soros has put $5.5 million into his Super PAC. Fund for Policy Reform, a nonprofit in Soros’s Open Society Foundations network that is reported to have in the bank $750 million on its latest tax forms, also gave $35 million. In doing so, Soros’s name is kept from appearing amongst those that give millions to political committees.

Democracy PAC, known for making large donations to far-left candidates, has given more than $25 million to other PACs, including a $7 million to the Senate Majority PAC, which has close ties to Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY). It also gave $5 million to Priorities USA Action, a large outside PAC which supports Joe Biden, and $2.5 million to the left-wing Win Justice coalition.

The Beacon also noted:

Many of the groups that receive money from Soros are top spenders backing massive anti-Trump campaigns. Priorities USA is the biggest outside spender this cycle, according to the Center for Responsive Politics, having spent more than $28 million. Its efforts include anti-Trump advertisements focused on criticizing the president’s response to the coronavirus pandemic in the swing states of Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Wisconsin.

In addition to his overwhelming PAC donations. Soros has also given $2 million to committees directly without going through his PACs. Those donations include $500,000 to the Democratic Grassroots Victory Fund, a committee to raise funds between the Democratic National Committee, all 50 state Democratic parties, and the D.C. Democratic committee.

Soros has also given thousands to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s (D-CA) victory fund, the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee. Similar to Soros, former presidential hopeful Tom Steyer has also poured into the 2020 election and is ranked among the highest of donors.

Acting DHS Sec’y Wolf: Cities That Are Having Increased Violence Are Doing so ‘by Choice at This Point’

On Monday’s broadcast of the Fox News Channel’s “Fox & Friends,” acting Homeland Security Secretary Chad Wolf urged cities and states that need to do so to ask for help from the federal government and stated that “any city that is having increases in violence, is burning, is having the rioting and looting, it’s by choice at this point.”

Wolf said, “These cities and states need to ask for the federal help. The president’s been very clear. The Department of Homeland Security has been very clear, as well as the Department of Justice. We are there to help. They need to ask for it. We can come in, as we did here in D.C., about last month, where we restored that law and order back to the city, stopped churches from being burned. We do have the ability to do this. We just need to be invited and have those state and local authorities ask for the federal government’s help.”

He added, “I think any city that is having increases in violence, is burning, is having the rioting and looting, it’s by choice at this point. Those local elected officials are making a choice to keep their cities very unsafe and dangerous. The president’s been very clear, we’re here to support. We’re here to provide resources, and we’ll do that at their request.”

New York Times Publishes Radical Economic Manifesto Calling for Reparations

The New York Times devoted its entire “Sunday Review” section this weekend to an economic manifesto that lays out a radical left-wing vision for redesigning the American economy in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic.

The manifesto, “The Economy We Need,” is the third part of a Times opinion series “on emerging from this crisis with a fair, resilient society.”

The Times focuses on redressing economic inequality as the main challenge — not economic growth, or job creation.

The lead editorial, among other ideas, calls for the Federal Reserve to target black unemployment instead of overall unemployment: “Instead of targeting overall unemployment, the Fed can correct its aim by targeting the Black unemployment rate. If the Fed provides enough stimulus to bring down Black unemployment, everyone benefits.”

Other economic proposals in the manifesto include a plan for banks to pay reparations: “First, [banks] must apologize for their culpability for and complicity in structural racism. Next, they must commit to serving black people as they do whites.” Four additional steps are proposed: “Cancel consumer debt for black customers”; “Eliminate banking fees for black customers”; “Provide interest-free mortgages to black home buyers”; “Provide interest-free loans to black-owned businesses.”

Another proposal calls for raising the inheritance tax — what Republicans call the “death tax,” because it is payable by the deceased (or their estates):

There are plenty of sensible options for increasing taxes on inheritances. Returning the estate tax to its 2009 levels would raise $270 billion over the next decade. Further increasing the rate so that it rises to 65 percent on estates over $1 billion would raise an additional $100 billion.

An even better approach would be to replace the estate tax with an inheritance tax. Under an inheritance tax, heirs would simply pay income and payroll taxes on their inheritance above a large exemption, just as others do on their wages.

The manifesto also calls for a 28th Amendment to the Constitution to enshrine something called “voter equality,” which appears to mean a guarantee of high turnout among poorer voters. The amendment would grant “all adult citizens the right to vote in federal elections,” with no exceptions.

Another heartfelt essay calls on wealthy Americans to “give up your privilege.”

Prior to the coronavirus the U.S. economy was experiencing what President Donald Trump called a “blue-collar boom.” Minority unemployment was at the lowest levels in history. Wages for the lowest-paid workers were rising faster than wages for the highest earners. Inequality was in retreat, as economic growth created new opportunities, and the enforcement of immigration laws gave working-class Americans a chance to compete.

EXCLUSIVE: Update on China Coronavirus Study – Current Mortality is Within Expectations for an Above-Average Flu Season

On March 17, 2020, we were the first to identify that the WHO and the WHO’s Director General Tedros were pushing fraudulent numbers regarding the expected mortality of the coronavirus.

The WHO over-stated the mortality rate of the virus by at least 20 times the actual number.

We then followed up with multiple posts on the subject. We reported on June 7, 2020, a study showed that when looking at the mortality rates for all causes this flu season, things aren’t much worse than a bad flu.

Next we followed up on this study on June 18th with more current data supporting these results.

Today we have more information based on more current data that supports our initial observations – that current mortality is within expectations for an above-average flu season.

Dr. Richard Cross, PhD, provided us the following information related to the China coronavirus. We have updated the following as of July 3rd:

US Total Mortality reported by the Center for Disease Control’s “Pneumonia and Influenza Mortality Surveillance from the National Center for Health Statistics Mortality Surveillance System” for the current year are within expectations for the marginally above average flu season. The excess mortality in a state-by-state analysis indicates total mortality within the expected range of mortality increase across most states, but excess mortality in the New York City area has been at levels comparable to the 1918 Spanish Flu, and the adjacent New Jersey/New England regions experienced mortality well above predicted levels. Media focus on the most affected areas, and on narrow time frames with the COVID-19 effect peaked, concealed both the generally high-normal levels of mortality for the current CDC Season in other regions.

We compute the cumulative Total Mortality for each year by week across the last six seasons beginning on the week ending on Oct. 5, 2013 and ending on May 30, 2020. In this report are the cumulative sums of Total Mortality across both 30 and 35 weeks. This approach places the total impact of COVID-19 within the context of the entire season relative to the previous six seasons which begin in the first week of October each year. It also expands the COVID-19 impact range beyond the 8 to 12 week window in early Spring 2020 where the COVID-19 impact peaked in the Northeast. This approach also allows for updating of the total COVID-19 impact throughout the remainder of the current summer and into the fall as additional CDC data updates become available, thus placing the COVID-19 effect within the context of the entire 12 month season.

This study is brilliant because it takes out the CDC’s confusing directive that stated that all deaths should be counted as coronavirus deaths, even if the cause may have been another condition. By counting all deaths, no matter the cause, we can clearly see the impact of the coronavirus on the nation is ‘not much worse than a bad seasonal flu’.

The study goes on to report on the New York situation:

The relative impact on total mortality of the COVID-19 event in the New York City region was in a class by itself. Figure 2 shows the increased cumulative total mortality increase as measured by the P-Score compared to previous 6-year mortality trends for each state; this is a more sensitive indicator of mortality change for each state since each state’s current mortality is based upon the previous six years mortality trend for that state. In Figure 2, New York City (NYC) mortality excess is 68% and is the highest across all locales with the current data. By week 34 in the current season, NYC is so far outside the mortality space of the other regions that it inhabited a different mortality universe altogether. It was widely reported as well that New Jersey experienced a high level of COVID-19 deaths, which translated into a seasonal excess mortality of 28 percent greater than its own expected increase, but yet this is still far below NYC.

Dr. Cross’s study goes on to suggest that the mortality rates across the nation are not much different in normal years because “the vast majority of COVID-19-related deaths occur in people who from an actuarial perspective would have died this year or soon thereafter from a pre-existing morbidity.” This makes sense because the elderly by a large percent were the ones who died from the coronavirus. If the elderly are proportionally expected to die anyways, the fact that they died from the coronavirus rather than another cause, kept the overall mortality rates similar to other years.

The Mainstream Media

As we reported previously, the media was responsible for the fear caused during this time period:

Much of the COVID-19 fear was sustained by media repetition and focus on daily and weekly COVID-19 infection rates and putative COVID-19 mortality that spiked in April. Daily and weekly mortality changes are quite variable, and the COVID-19 mortality estimates are partially confounded with total mortality, whereas cumulative weekly estimates of total mortality are highly regular. The growth pattern for COVID-19 mortality was shown day after day, but it was never placed within the context of the total cumulative mortality, and this gave rise to the impression that all the COVID-19 deaths were in fact directly caused by the disease, along with an additional false impression that the COVID-19 mortality was pushing the total mortality well above average for the year. These impressions turn out to be false.

See the entire report here:

How Big is COVID-19? Current Mortality is Within Expectations for an Above-Average Flu Season by Jim Hoft on Scribd

Overall, these numbers are not surprising. The China coronavirus impacted the US little, when taken into context with the nation’s overall mortality rates.

Social distancing doesn’t appear to have much of an impact on overall mortality. Finally, the actions of the governor and health officials in New York caused that area to explode with cases and death, especially when compared to the rest of the country.

(Richard Cross is a retired university professor, consulting psychologist, and research director in test development.)

Black Man Who Sucker-Punched 12-Year-Old Street Dancer Charged with Two Felonies, But Cops Are Still Searching For Him – Family Not Cooperating

Two boys were street dancing Friday night in Cape Girardeau, MO with their instructor Michael ‘Crank’ Curry.

That’s when a car pulled over, a black man jumped out and he sucker-punched the 12-year-old child.

Then he jumped back in his car and sped off.

Police were able to ID Cedric Charles Moore Jr., the black man who punched the 12-year-old in the unprovoked attack, after viewing the video of the assault taken by Michael ‘Crank’ Curry.

Cedric Charles Moore Jr. 2017 mugshot released by Cape Girardeau Police Department

Police charged Moore with two felonies, however they are still searching for him.

According to TMZ, the police have visited various locations Moore is known to frequent, however law enforcement is getting zero cooperation from any of his friends and family.

TMZ reported:

The scumbag who sucker punched a 12-year-old boy dancing on a sidewalk has been charged with 2 felonies, but cops are still searching for him.

Cedric Charles Moore Jr. has been charged with felony assault in the second degree and felony child endangerment in the first degree due to the age of the victim and the violence of the act … according to cops in Cape Girardeau, MO.

Cops say they were able to ID Moore after seeing video footage of the unprovoked attack that went down Friday a little after 11:30 PM. Cape Girardeau PD says officers have been to Moore’s home and various other locations he is known to frequent, but they’re getting no cooperation from the his friends and family.

When they do find him, Moore’s bail’s already set at $50k cash only.

“I appreciate the police department for taking the case so seriously, and I know my son appreciates it too. I don’t think I will feel any relief until he is arrested. As of now it’s just words on paper there hasn’t been any real consequence,” the victim’s mother, Stephanie Hagler told TMZ.

The CGPD said despite calls for Moore to be charged with a ‘hate crime,’ it would not be in the best interest of the victim.

“[A hate crime] charge would only apply if the assault was categorized to a lesser degree, which would not be in the best interest of seeking true justice for the victim,” the CGPD told TMZ.

“Racist” College Researcher Ousted After Sharing Study Showing No Racial Bias In Police Shootings

"Racist" College Researcher Ousted After Sharing Study Showing No Racial Bias In Police Shootings

Tyler Durden

Mon, 07/06/2020 – 14:49

The vice president of Research and Innovation at Michigan State University, physicist Stephen Hsu, has been forced out of his position at the university after daring to show actual facts from a 2019 study that show there to be no racial bias in incidents of police shootings.

Hsu wrote on his blog on Sunday that “The [Graduate Employees Union] alleged that I am a racist because I interviewed MSU Psychology professor Joe Cesario, who studies police shootings.”

"Cesario’s work…is essential to understanding deadly force and how to improve policing," Hsu said.

Cesario’s 2019 study found "that the race of the officer doesn’t matter when it comes to predicting whether black or white citizens are shot."

The conclusion of the study was that “contrary to activist claims and media reports, there is no widespread racial bias in police shootings.”

Cesario’s study was then cited in a June 3 Wall Street Journal op-ed called "The Myth of Systemic Police Racism". The MSU communications team highlighted the mention of Cesario’s work days later and on June 10, the GEU "blasted" Hsu for sharing the research, claiming that it "did not alight with public statements issued by MSU," according to blog The Police Tribune

GEU Vice President Acacia Ackles said: “It is the union’s position that an administrator sharing such views is in opposition to MSU’s statements released supporting the protests and their root cause and aim.”

That’s when Hsu said the social media attacks began: “This started as a twitter mob attack, with very serious claims: that I am a Racist, Sexist, Eugenicist, etc.”

He also said he was under attack for blogging about research involving genetic differences of races. The GEU subsequently circulated a "Fire Stephen Hsu" petition that demanded Hsu’s firing.

The letter said: “The concerns expressed by the Graduate Employees Union and other individuals familiar with Hsu indicates an individual that cannot uphold our University Mission or our commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion."

It continued: "Given this discordance with university values, Stephen Hsu should not be privileged with the power and responsibility of recruiting and funding scholars, overseeing ethical conduct, or coordinating graduate study.”

While more than 800 signed the petition to get him fired, days later Hsu had compiled over 2,000 signatures in a support petition.

“Over just a few days, 1700+ individuals from around the world signed the support petition… Among the signatories are hundreds of professors from MSU and around the world, and an even larger number of PhD degree holders,” Hsu said.

The support petition read: “We highlight that there is zero concrete evidence that Hsu has performed his duties as VP in an unfair or biased manner. Therefore, removing Hsu from his post as VP would be to capitulate to rumor and character assassination.”

“The power is in your hands to reaffirm free inquiry and free expression as the core values of the academic institutions and show how they align with the other values to which we are all committed and have spent time and energy promoting,” it continued.

It concluded: “The voices demanding Hsu’s removal are exactly wrong in pitting diversity and inclusion against free inquiry and freedom of speech. Instead, true diversity flourishes best under conditions of free inquiry, because such a philosophy demands that everyone have a seat at the table and that views be evaluated on the basis of cogency of the supporting reasoning and strength and internal consistency of the accumulated evidence rather than the identity, power, number, or vociferousness of the people expressing them.”

On June 19, Hsu was asked to resign from his position. He consented, but wrote on his blog: “I do not agree with his decision, as serious issues of Academic Freedom and Freedom of Inquiry are at stake. I fear for the reputation of Michigan State University.”

Days after Hsu stepped down MSU President Samuel Stanley said: “When senior administrators at MSU choose to speak out on any issue, they are viewed as speaking for the university as a whole. Their statements should not leave any room for doubt about their, or our, commitment to the success of faculty, staff and students.”

Anti-American MSNBC Outraged By Trump Promoting ‘Myth of America’ on July 4th

In an ongoing debate over America and our history, MSNBC has clearly picked a side. And they are not on the side of the American people. During a segment of Monday’s Morning Joe, Willie Geist brought on reporter Yamiche Alcindor to clearly express how the left feels about America.
Alcindor, a radical activist disguised as PBS NewsHour’s White House correspondent, launched into an anti-American diatribe:
What the president is doing is positing himself as against this idea there should be a rethinking of American history. He said in that speech, at Mount Rushmore, under the statue of two slave owners, under Theodore Roosevelt, who was pushing for the expansion in the West, including the desecration of Native lands. He’s saying we can’t see the facts of our founders and seek to do away with this myth of America that everyone on July 4th that everyone was created, treated equally. That’s not true.
The “myth of America,” as Alcindor put it, is part of an argument that the radical left loves to make, that America has forever been and always will be deeply evil and must be torn apart and rebuilt. This movement is clear as day for even critics of President Trump, but the fact that the President pointed it out in his speech has the media all worked up, so much so that they prove his point for him.

Geist said the quiet part out loud in response:
This has been the President’s view of the movement for social justice for a couple of months now since George Floyd’s death, it was a put out in stark and sometimes stunning terms by the President but he looked at the movement as Yamiche said as agitators, as Antifa, he’s looking at the looters, he’s looking at the subsection of larger movement of people asking to be treated fairly and equally in this country as they have not been for 400 years.
The leftist media wish to completely ignore all of the tremendous progress on race relations that this country has made, particularly in recent decades. Instead of telling the truth about the state of race relations in America and using facts to paint a much clearer picture of the decreasing racial disparities in various aspects of American life, Democrats and their supporters in the press continually push this false narrative in their increasingly cynical pandering for political benefit.
Humira once again supported MSNBC’s Anti-American messaging.
Read the full transcript below to learn more.
MSNBC’s Morning Joe
7-6-20
WILLIE GEIST: The president is drilling deep into his base strategy here. What’s the re-election campaign? Is this it? He’s the man standing in the breech as the radical left tries to undo American civilization?
YAMICHE ALCINDOR:That’s what it seems like. It seems like the President has really focused in on this culture war strategy, he’s digging in on race, poking at the worst parts of society. And the speech at Mount Rushmore, the thing that stuck with me was that he said the protesters, and he was really talking about Black Lives Matter activists who have been in all 50 states, including red states, they were trying to erase our history and erase the values of America and called the Black Lives Matter movement and this protest movement we’re seeing across the country dangerous. The president is looking at this movement and saying what I’m going to do is not join them, be an ally of peaceful protesters, I’m going to tell people our history is the history they want to remember that is false. And to call slavery a flaw. It was not a flaw. It was a mistake that was the original sin of America.
GEIST: this has been the president’s view of the movement for social justice for a couple of months now since George Floyd’s death, it was a put out in stark and sometimes stunning terms by the president but he looked at the movement as Yamiche said as agitators, as antifa, he’s looking at the looters, he’s looking at the subsection of larger movement of people asking to be treated fairly and equally in this country as they have not been for 400 years
JOHN HEILEMANN: Not surprising in the least, Willie. The president’s racism has been clear for a very long time, clear to new yorkers who remember as far back as Central Park Five and anybody that paid attention to him throughout the administration, the list of his racist views and sympathies and expressions, the way he courted white nationalists, white grievance, white supremacy and espoused the values of white supremacy have been a hallmark of his career before politics.

COVID Cheerleaders Change the Rules in the Middle of the Game

There is much we don’t understand about the Chinese coronavirus. This includes public health experts, like the basketball player and scarf queen, as well as elected officials and nonelected bureaucrats. One hopes they are recommending and acting based on a desire to do good and an avoidance of harm.

Yet looking beyond cable news sound bites, the motives of many are sinister and in service to their political agenda rather than the public good. Looking back at how COVID events unfolded this year, one can reasonably conclude that reactions to the virus are more about politics and an upcoming election than a viral pandemic. The DNC media is cheerleading any and all bad news while they bury good news such as the success of hydroxychloroquine in cutting the death rate from COVID in half.

Infection data is of utmost importance in guiding decisions about stay-at-home orders, masks, businesses opening and Americans peacefully assembling. Case fatality rates and R-naughts are more of interest to epidemiologists and don’t lend themselves to newspaper headlines and cable news banners.

Recall in April during the peak of the Wuhan virus pandemic how Fox News constantly ran a sidebar showing death totals. Total cases were less important at that time as few could get tested.

At that time, testing for active disease was limited primarily to those admitted to the hospital. Antibody testing was not yet available. Today virtually anyone can get tested at a commercial laboratory for either antigen (active disease) or antibody (previous disease).

Cable news breathlessly reported fatalities, warning of millions of U.S. deaths based on the faulty predictions of disease models relied upon by President Trump and his task force to justify shutting down the country.

Now attention has turned to new cases, suddenly pivoting away from deaths, as the metric of interest. Perhaps because one metric is rising rapidly and the other is flat. Can you guess which is which?

Daily deaths have been declining after peaking in mid-April, and while not zero, have flattened to about 600 per day in the U.S. For comparison, 7,755 people die each day in the U.S. of all causes. If the media spoke of a declining and then flattened death rate, it might create optimism that things are improving in America and that the past four months of hardship was worth it.

Ahead of an election where optimism favors the incumbent, this is not a message the DNC media dares convey to the nation. Instead the focus is on new cases.

CNN reported, “Hospitals face an explosion of COVID and signs of another surge as coronavirus case numbers climb.” The New York Times echoed with, “U.S. reports nearly 50,000 new coronavirus cases, another single-day record.”

Little detail is provided about these “new” cases. Are they sick? Hospitalized? In the ICU on a ventilator? Have they even been tested for the Wuhan virus or are these “presumed” cases?

Scarf queen Dr. Deborah Birx took note in May of “presumed” COVID deaths, based on an assumption of COVID but without a positive test, falsely inflating the death count, “by up to 25 percent.”

COVID deaths had been falsely attributed to those who died of alcohol poisoning and gunshot wounds. By that logic, George Floyd died not from a policeman’s knee on his neck but from COVID as he happened to test positive at autopsy

How much of the current surge is due to presumed, rather than actual, positive tests? Collin County, Texas may offer a peak behind the suspicious surge curtain.

Their health department changed the rules on May 11, 2020. Was that because states were reopening without ill effect? Or because President Trump hadn’t resigned or been impeached again?

Previously the definition of a confirmed case of COVID-19 was that a person MUST have a positive PCR lab result. Contacts of the confirmed case, regardless of symptoms, were not counted as a case as the chart below illustrates. One positive lab result meant only one confirmed case.

Now the rules have changed with a new “probable case” definition of those in contact with a confirmed or probable case, with symptoms. Suppose my neighbor tested positive for COVID, perhaps tested so he could return to work after having cold symptoms. If I have a new cough at the same time, I am a presumed positive case. If my kids have a sore throat, they are also presumed positive cases.

What if  I only see my neighbor through a car window as we drive past each other? That doesn’t matter. From one total case in the above graphic to 17 total cases in the below graphic, based on the same exact scenario.

That would be like saying a well-thrown pass counts as a touchdown even if the receiver didn’t catch it or caught it short of the end zone. A well stroked putt that could have gone in, but didn’t, is considered good. Anyone can now “presume” to be Tom Brady or Tiger Woods.

They also define new cases as those with a positive antibody test, even without symptoms. Someone exposed to the Wuhan virus in March, with a positive antibody test in July, is now a “new case,” inflating current numbers.

One simple reason for this so-called surge is more tests means more positive results.  Tens of thousands of young people have been protesting and rioting, many without masks or distancing, receiving free COVID tests provided by the same cities they just looted. Of course, this will lead to more positive tests.

Lastly, health departments have changed the rules for defining positive cases in the middle of the game to falsely inflate the case counts. Why would they do this?

The ruling class, including federal, state, and local health departments, are desperate to prevent a second Trump term. They are banking on the weakest presidential candidate, likely suffering from dementia, winning the presidency, and are doing everything they can to drag him across the finish line. The great Democrat hope is a guy who said, “I’m Joe Biden’s husband, Joe Biden.”

Rising case counts are a great excuse to shut down the country again, as many states are doing, throwing water on a reignited economy. This also stops Trump rallies and keeps Dementia Joe safely in his basement, away from his sparsely attended rallies and the debate stage where he will look like Pee Wee Herman going 15 rounds with Mike Tyson.

It was never about the virus but instead the election. The so-called surge in cases is more fake news pushed by media cheerleaders eager to destroy the U.S. economy and culture if it makes Trump a one-term president. Evil knows no bounds.
