Blue State Blues: Once Socialism Gets In, You Can Never Vote It Out

Joe Biden says he’s not a socialist. “I beat the socialist,” he protests.

He won the nomination for president, but as Bernie Sanders declared in April: “We have won the ideological battle.”

Biden is the liberal figurehead of what has become a socialist party. Biden’s platform — the “Biden-Sanders Unity Task Force” — is a manifesto for state domination of the economy.

Even Biden’s rhetoric — calling for “revolution” to “fundamentally transform” America — is socialist now.

Ah, but this socialism isn’t going to be like Soviet communism, we are told. This is democratic socialism. That is, we will still have the vote, and our civil liberties.

But as F.A. Hayek argued last century in The Road to Serfdom, you cannot preserve individual freedom if the state controls your most basic economic choices.

We have seen that ourselves: once Obamacare “guaranteed” health insurance, Catholic nuns had to go to court to preserve their basic religious liberties.

Moreover, what the Democratic Party has planned is fundamentally undemocratic. They rejected the last democratic election; if they win in 2020, they intend to rig the system so they can never lose again.

They want to admit D.C. and Puerto Rico as states, creating a permanent Senate majority. They will kill the filibuster, then pass amnesty and create millions of new Democratic voters. Finally, they will pack the courts with liberals to override any checks on their power.

Former President Barack Obama cast these changes as necessary to overcome the legacy of “systemic racism.” At John Lewis’s funeral in July, Obama cast the filibuster — which he himself used — as a relic of the Jim Crow era.

The Biden campaign has cast President Donald Trump as a white supremacist champion — though Biden’s hoax claims about neo-Nazis in Charlottesville imploded when Vice President Mike Pence fact-checked Sen. Kamala Harris (D-CA) onstage.

I was born in a white supremacist country — South Africa. My parents emigrated to the U.S. shortly after I was born: they did not want to raise their kids in a racist society, and thought it would only change through violent revolution.

As it turned out, South Africa’s transition was peaceful. Even before black South Africans had the vote, whites voted two-to-one to approve the apartheid government’s negotiations with Nelson Mandela toward a non-racial democratic future.

I went back to South Africa as a graduate student — and a confirmed leftist, enthusiastic about the socialist nature of South Africa’s new constitution, which provided “socioeconomic rights” for basic necessities like health care.

What I learned was jarring: not only did socialism make people worse off, but it was impossible to get rid of after it failed.

South Africa’s ruling party has been in power for 26 years. It casts every alternative to statism as a yearning for the  racist past.

What my experience has taught me, as a former South African, is that you can vote to get rid of white supremacy, but you cannot vote to get rid of socialism. It takes over every institution and demands loyalty to its redistributionist ethic.

You can see it already in “Critical Race Theory,” seeping into our schools; you can see it in professional sports; you will be forced to acknowledge it by mobs of activists who demand you kneel and raise your fist in solidarity to the cause.

Look at California, where I live today. Democrats control supermajorities in the legislature and every state office. In theory, Republicans could win back control one day. In reality, Democrats have raised taxes and regulations so much that middle class homeowners and small business owners — two core Republican constituencies — are simply leaving in droves.

The state is run by the very rich as a cultural vanity project, with the poor treated as voting fodder, bought off by new social welfare programs. In the midst of recent fires and electricity shortages, Democrats found time to reduce penalties for pedophilia and create a new reparations commission.

In 2016, California legalized “ballot harvesting,” allowing party operatives to collect unlimited mail-in ballots from voters. It is a practice regarded as fraud everywhere else in the world. Nancy Pelosi wants to take it nationwide; it was one of the provisions of her so-called coronavirus “relief” bill.

It will be among the first priorities of a Democratic Congress.

If President Trump is your problem, the Constitution solves that problem for you. If he wins in November, he will leave office in 2025 — because if he doesn’t, his own Republicans will force him out.

But if Joe Biden wins, and the Sanders-Obama cohort takes power behind him, you will never get rid of them. Never.

Democrats need to be taught — now — that riots and radicalism do not pay. They need to learn to reject socialism before you can trust them with your vote again.

Hunter Biden Longtime Biz Partner And Burisma Board-Buddy Going To Prison After Obama Judge Reversed

Hunter Biden Longtime Biz Partner And Burisma Board-Buddy Going To Prison After Obama Judge Reversed

A federal appeals court has reinstated a fraud conviction of Hunter Biden’s longtime business partner, Devon Archer, reversing a decision by an Obama-appointed judge (and wife of Mueller special counsel lawyer) to vacate Archer’s conviction and grant him a new trial.

Archer and several of his business partners were indicted on March 26, 2018 in a $60 million bond scheme which defrauded Native Americans. Hunter was not implicated in the fraud, however Archer and the other partners repeatedly name-dropped the former Vice President’s son.

Following a trial which lasted nearly one-month, Archer was found guilty of conspiracy to commit securities fraud and securities fraud. After requesting that the district court set aside the jury’s verdict, Judge Ronnie Abrams – the wife of Mueller special counsel attorney Greg Andres (who himself was a Deputy Assistant AG in the Obama DOJ, according to RedState) – granted Archer’s wish. What’s more, Abrams was Hunter Biden’s classmate at Yale Law school.

Not so fast Judge Ronnie…

In a unanimous opinion, a three-judge panel said that Abrams made a mistake by prioritizing her own theory above that of the jury’s, and that her assessment undercut the significance of the proof in its totality.

Archer was Yale roommates with John Kerry’s stepson Chris Heinz – the two of whom opened investment firm Rosemont Capital with Hunter. Rosemont Capital is the parent company of Rosemont Seneca Partners, LLC – the entity which receive the Burisma payments and in turn aid Biden.

It was through Archer’s trial that we learned large sums of Chinese and Ukrainian money was flowing into accounts owned by Archer and Hunter Biden, specifically a Morgan Stanley account for Rosemont Seneca Bohai, LLC – which Ukrainian gas giant Burisma wired $166,666.66 in two identical payments in 2014 and 2015, according to Just The News.

Archer’s bank statement released in the trial also revealed that the China state-owned Bank of China directly funneled more than $100,000 into the same account as Burisma beginning in December 2014. Another entity, Novatus Holding Pte. Ltd., wired $142,300 to the Rosemont account on April 22, 2014. That entity is controlled by a Kazakh businessman named Kenges Rakishev who has close ties to the leaders of Kazakhstan.

Many of the financial records revealed during Archer’s 2018 trial became the subject of a joint Senate committee investigation. The GOP-led investigation slammed the Bidens and their associates for apparent conflicts of interest and flagged possible criminal activity while citing "glaring" evidence of Burisma bribes, suspicious foreign money transfers and sex trafficking. –Just The News

In summary – the US Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit unanimously called out a judge whose numerous conflicts of interest may have led her to give Devon Archer a second chance.

Now, Archer will be going to prison – unless Joe Biden wins the election and pardons him.

Pelosi: We Can’t Do Airline Help ‘Then Lose All Leverage to Do Everything Else’

On Thursday’s edition of Bloomberg’s “Balance of Power,” House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) stated that she wants to provide assistance to airline workers, but “we cannot do that and then lose all leverage to do everything else that we have to do in the bill, which is to crush the virus, honor our heroes, put money in the pockets of the American people.”

Pelosi said, “On the subject of the airlines, I have made the case to my colleagues that this is a special case. Because in order for airline employees to return to the workforce, there are national security concerns. There are concerns about certification and all the rest of that, not just somebody leaving a job and coming back to a job, but having to requalify. … So, I do think that we should pay special attention to that. But they — we cannot do that and then lose all leverage to do everything else that we have to do in the bill, which is to crush the virus, honor our heroes, put money in the pockets of the American people.”

Arming up: 1 in 5 gun-owning households have added another firearm since start of Black Lives Matter protests, survey finds

Gun-owning Americans are purchasing additional firearms in response to the violent Black Lives Matter protests that have taken place in many cities and communities across the country in recent months.

What are the details?

A Rasmussen survey published this week found that 22% of Americans who already have a gun in their household have added another since the start of protests and that a large majority feel safer having done so.

In all, 43% of those surveyed told the polling group that they or someone in their household owns a gun. Slightly over half (54%) of those adults who live in a gun-owning household said that they feel safer with a gun in the house, while only 7% said they feel less safe, and 38% said the gun’s presence doesn’t affect their feelings of personal safety.

But among the roughly 1 in 5 people whose households have added another firearm in recent months, a whopping 90% reported feeling safer.

The households who have added guns since late May have predominantly been minority households, Rasmussen noted.

The phone interview survey of 1,000 adults was conducted October 4-5.

Additionally, the polling group reported in September that 42% of likely U.S. voters have had anti-police protests in their communities, and nearly half of those respondents said that those protests became violent.

What else?

This year has been a record-breaking year for gun sales as uncertainty around the coronavirus pandemic and violence at Black Lives Matter protests have left many Americans concerned for their safety.

Despite continued calls for gun control and warnings about the dangers of firearms from Democratic politicians, the numbers prove that Americans have en masse turned to firearms to protect themselves and their families.

More guns were purchased in March 2020 than any other month on record, and every month since then has experienced year-over-year increases.

By August, 2020 gun sales had already topped 2019 sales — and there are four months still to go. Of the nearly 15 million gun sales recorded by that time this year, an estimated 5 million had come from first-time gun buyers.
