Horowitz: Congressman accuses CDC of misleading the public about need for vaccine for those already recovered from COVID-19

Just how much does our government want to promote the false premise that natural infection with COVID-19 does not convey long-term immunity? Officials appear to want the public to believe that those already infected should get the vaccine just as quickly as those who haven’t gotten the infection, which would likely lead to people who don’t need it using up scarce doses of the vaccine.

Rep. Thomas Massie (R-Ky.), having had the virus himself, was perturbed when he noticed a startlingly false statement in the CDC’s "Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices’ Interim Recommendation for Use of Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 Vaccine" published in December with regard to those who have already had the virus. "Consistent high efficacy (≥92%) was observed across age, sex, race, and ethnicity categories and among persons with underlying medical conditions, as well as among participants with evidence of prior SARS-CoV-2 infection," stated the original version of the report, co-authored by over a dozen authors and scientists.

Massie told me he jumped out of his seat upon reading that line, because the CDC was in fact saying that the clinical trial on the Pfizer vaccine proved the vaccine to further advance immunity among those naturally infected just like it does for those without infection. Having already contracted the virus, Massie was appalled that the CDC, in this report and through other campaigns, would be suggesting that he take just as high a priority for the vaccine as someone who doesn’t have any natural immunity.

The congressman was interviewed by Sharyl Attkisson, who reported on Massie’s correspondence with the CDC in his attempt to correct the record. Indeed, no clinical trial has shown that the vaccine furthers one’s immunity after already having had the virus. In fact, among approximately 1,300 people who had prior infections in the Pfizer study (650 in the vaccine group and 650 in the placebo group) there were 10 reinfections in the vaccine group and 9 in the placebo group after the first dose and one in each group after the second dose. Thus, their own trial actually showed zero evidence of the vaccine advancing the degree of immunity beyond that which is conveyed naturally. Some recent studies have already shown that natural infection offers at least as much protection from future infection, especially from serious symptoms, as the vaccine.

This false claim by the CDC cannot be viewed in a vacuum. Attkisson released a transcript of a conversation Massie had with CDC official Dr. Amanda Cohn in which she thanks him profusely for catching the mistake. "I think we read that thing so many times that when, you know, we just skipped right over it," said Dr. Cohn in the conversation that Massie recorded. "We know we can’t be perfect, we know we’re gonna miss things. You will forever after be known in our office as ‘Eagle-Eyed Man.’"

However, just two days later, Dr. Cohn moderated a panel discussion with medical professionals from the CDC to answer questions about the vaccine. Dr. Sara Oliver of the CDC, the lead author of the guidance with the original mistake about vaccine efficacy for those with prior infection, said clearly during the video conference, "Data from both clinical trials suggests that people with prior infection are still likely to benefit from vaccination."

The CDC refuses to convey the truth to the public that natural immunity is at least as effective as the vaccine and that no study has ever shown at this point that the vaccine furthers natural immunity. Attkisson reports that for at least a month after Massie’s phone calls with the CDC, the agency refused to change the document. Finally, they corrected the sentence about effectiveness in those with prior infections, but basically restated the false premise that evidence shows effectiveness among those with prior infection.

The updated version from January 29 separated the original sentence into two sentences and reads as follows: "Consistent high efficacy (≥92%) was observed across age, sex, race, and ethnicity categories and among persons with underlying medical conditions. Efficacy was similarly high in a secondary analysis including participants both with or without evidence of previous SARS-CoV-2 infection."

If you are scratching your head wondering how this is a correction, you are not missing anything. Rep. Massie told me in an interview that "these words ‘with or without evidence of previous SARS-CoV-2 infection’ imply that regardless of whether you had COVID or not, this vaccine is proven to be effective." According to Massie, "this is absolutely not borne out in either the Pfizer or Moderna trials."

"They are still misleading people, and this time it’s intentional," said the irate congressman. "This is just a restatement of their mistake; this is not a correction."

The Moderna vaccine showed similar results to the Pfizer one, with no further efficacy of the vaccine vs. natural infection. For the CDC’s interim recommendation on Moderna, which was written a week later, the CDC indeed made sure to properly and accurately explain the results. "High efficacy (≥86%) was observed across age, sex, race, and ethnicity categories and among persons with underlying medical conditions." The report does not mention those with prior infection, and in fact, in the sentence before, it says explicitly that the effectiveness was "among persons without evidence of previous SARS-CoV-2 infection, which was the primary study endpoint" (emphasis added).

So why does the CDC still refuse to accurately publish the Pfizer recommendation in accordance with the results from the clinical trial, and why are officials still refusing to publicize the benefits of natural immunity and caution against prioritizing those who were already infected? Either the powers that be in Big Pharma don’t want to lose their customer base, given that over 100 million people likely contracted the virus already, or our government wants to continue peddling panic and fear forever with no expiration date by misleading people to think they will always be at risk for serious illness from a relapse of COVID. Which is perhaps why officials are demanding that the human rights violations continue even after we receive the vaccine itsself – a vaccine that they claim is more effective than natural immunity.

‘Black Lives Matter’ Teams with Democrat in Attempt to Expel Over 100 Republicans from Congress

Black Lives Matter is supporting an effort to boot 100 Republicans from Congress on the grounds that anyone who voted to contest the Electoral College results must go. A resolution calling for investigations that could eventually lead to expulsions was introduced last month by Democratic Rep. Cori Bush of Missouri, who has aligned herself with…

Activists Demand Release Of Elderly Patient From Hospital

Two live-streamed social media videos released on Jan. 29 show a young woman, Kelli Stewart, telling the story of Legacy Salmon Creek Medical Center in Vancouver, WA, whose staff were allegedly holding an elderly woman “against her will because she would not Covid test.” The 74-year-old woman, Gayle Meyer, had been admitted to the hospital on Jan. 28 by her daughter, Satin, because of a urinary tract infection. According to Satin, Myer has brain cancer, memory loss and was asymptomatic for Covid-19. Satin is her mother’s caregiver and has power of attorney. Stewart filmed Satin and a small group of people for over two hours. In parts of the video, she provocatively narrates the evening events, now posted on the Ammon Bundy YouTube channel.

The Clark County Sheriff’s office released a statement explaining their view of the evening’s events and accompanying timeline. While the report says that some protesters had weapons and gas masks, no participants in the live-stream are shown with those items. The full statement is below:

Clark County Sheriff Statement/Legacy Hill Incident/Jan. 29

Stewart is allegedly a leader in the Peoples Rights Group/Area Four of Washington state, a grassroots organization formed “to defend yourself, your family, and your neighbors against those that would forcefully take what does not belong to them.” She has led several grassroots efforts to fight Covid-related restrictions.

Stewart is also allegedly a member of the Three Percent of Washington group, whose members are known as Threepers. The term Threeper is based on an inaccurate historical claim that only three percent of Americans fought in the Revolutionary War against the British. She has also worked with the Patriot Prayer group run by Joey Gibson. Facebook removed the group in September after Gibson was connected with unrest in Portland, claiming Gibson was part of a “violent right-wing militia.” Gibson was one of six men arrested in May of 2019 for fighting with Antifa in Portland’s Cider Riot. Gibson filed a lawsuit on Sept. 11, 2020.

Vancouver, WA

Stewart has appeared as a speaker for several events, including one over the summer involving the case of a local pet groomer, Kelly Carroll, who is also seen in the crowd at the hospital. Carroll had opened her new PetBiz dog grooming business in March and re-opened it in May in defiance of state COVID-19 “Stay Home, Stay Safe” restrictions. On May 29, Carroll was charged with violating an emergency order and faced up to a year in jail and a $5,000 fine. Gibson and Stewart held a rally during the summer for Carroll, whose charges were eventually dropped by Clark County.

The live-stream video shows Stewart waiting outside the hospital for a crowd “to build” online so that she can get the “message out there” that an elderly woman is being held as a “medical hostage” at the hospital. Satin also seems to be a member of the activist group.

When Satin arrived at the hospital on Friday to discharge her mother, they would not allow Satin to take her mother home. Stewart reports that the hospital has locked its doors and placed police at the entrances. The hospital had initiated its Code Silver lockdown procedure. Code Silver means that a violent situation is unfolding and/or someone is on the loose with a weapon.

Stewart shows deputies at the door refusing to allow Satin to complete discharge papers for her mother. She says that local carriers are blocking her text messages. As a group of people assembles, Stewart repeatedly says that the behavior of the officials present is “wicked and disgusting,” calling the sheriffs inside the “hired security guards for the medical establishment.” She makes several calls to go to the Peoples Rights channel on Telegram, saying she needs “all hands on deck.” She also asks viewers to call Legacy Salmon Creek hospital to demand Meyer be released.

Satin speaks with the sheriffs outside about her mother’s 24-hour quarantine and they are seen explaining the hospital policy to her. Stewart interjects, saying, “it sounds like the police have the power of attorney now.” Stewart tells the viewers that the police went to talk with Myer without her medical advocate present. She then returns to the crowd at the entrance and reports that the “police went to talk to Gayle without Satin there and Gayle said to the police, ‘if the police say that I need to say, I do but if they say that if I don’t, then I don’t.’” As Stewart is standing at the door with the crowd, she says, “this is why you don’t call 9/11,” and as staff enters the hospital, Stewart loudly admonishes, “Be careful in there. They kidnap people, be safe.”

Satin and Stewart/YouTube Capture

About 38 minutes into the live-stream, Satin becomes increasingly frustrated and is seen shouting through the glass doors to the security and police inside. She tells them that she has her doctor on the phone who has ordered a prescription for antibiotics for her mom and has approved her release. She says that no one in the hospital has called her to tell her what is going on with her mother. Stewart chants, “this is kidnapping and Satin needs in” in the background. Satin attempts to enter through the automatic doors as staff enters. Then, one of the two sheriffs standing at the entrance reaches through the gap in the doors, grabs Satin’s sweatshirt collar at her throat, and pushes her back out into the small external lobby area. At that point, the crowd begins to scream, and a young, bearded man steps forward while yelling at the sheriffs and attempts to force open the inner automatic doors. As he begins to force himself through, one of the sheriffs pulls out a can of what looks like pepper spray and sprays it in the face of the young man. At that point, the crowd begins to yell and scream at the Sheriffs inside.

Satin finally gets her mom on the phone and begins to negotiate her mother’s release. Meanwhile, Stewart begins to taunt the police outside. She says that the “police don’t care” and just “do what they are told.” She states that Clark county should cut its law enforcement budget, telling them:

“You guys think we are ever going to trust you guys again?… When you guys come around now, I grab my kids closer, and I tell them, you guys stand back because we don’t know what they are going to do. They might think we moved funny, and they might shoot…they will kill you.” She then singles out one of the younger officers and says, “That dude right there has mental problems. Be careful of him, guys. He wants to shoot somebody. He’s arrogant and really trigger happy. I wouldn’t be surprised if he is who shot Kevin Peterson, Jr.,who was fatally shot by the Clark County police while during an arranged drug deal. She adds that citizens don’t get to be armed. “You can’t open carry because they get nervous if people are equally armed.”

Police Outside Hospital

There are two live stream videos, and when combined, the videos are over two hours from the beginning of the first one to the end of the second. Meyer is finally released toward the end of the second hour.

Stewart then announces she is holding a blue line flag burning party in an hour. By this time, a large crowd represented by children and adults has assembled, and several from the crowd tell the officers they should be ashamed. Toward the end, Stewart and several in her “army of angels” celebrate their victory, questioning why the hospital didn’t let Satin in to see her mother from the beginning.

White House asks reporters to submit questions ahead of daily press briefings: ‘Not really a free press’

President Joe Biden’s administration apparently does not want to be caught off guard with tough questions by the media during its press briefings.

What’s going on?

According to the Daily Beast, Biden’s communications department has requested that reporters submit their questions to the White House staff in advance of press secretary Jen Psaki’s daily briefings, presumably to avoid being scrutinized by reporters with difficult questions.

The issue was reportedly discussed during a White House Correspondents Association meeting last Friday.

Reporters are allegedly upset over the White House’s request, fearing it plays into the perception of coordination between the West Wing and media.

"That’s not really a free press at all," one White House reporter said, according to the Daily Beast.

"While it’s a relief to see briefings return, particularly with a commitment to factual information, the press can’t really do its job in the briefing room if the White House is picking and choosing the questions they want," the reporter added.

Indeed, WHCA leaders instructed to reporters to either "push back" against the requests or not comply altogether.

What’s the background?

In contrast to the Trump administration, which jettisoned daily White House press briefings almost completely, Biden and his communications team promised to restore the daily briefings and have thus far delivered on that promise.

What did the White House say?

Biden’s administration claimed that asking reporters for their questions ahead of time is not an attempt to dodge questions, but rather to understand the pulse of reporting on any given day.

"Our goal is to make the daily briefing as useful and informative as possible for both reporters and the public," a spokesperson told the Daily Beast. "Part of meeting that objective means regularly engaging with the reporters who will be in the briefing room to understand how the White House can be most helpful in getting them the information they need. That two-way conversation is an important part of keeping the American people updated about how government is serving them."

Anything else?

Meanwhile, Eric Schultz, who served as a deputy press secretary in the Obama administration, claimed the Biden communication team’s request is fairly normal, allowing staff adequate time to prepare for the daily briefing.

"This is textbook communications work. The briefing becomes meaningless if the press secretary has to repeatedly punt questions, instead of coming equipped to discuss what journalists are reporting on," Schultz told the Daily Beast. "In a non-COVID environment, this would happen in casual conversations throughout the day in lower and upper press. One of the few upsides to reporters hovering over your desk all day, is that you get a very quick sense of what they’re working on."

State-Run TV on CBS: Shouldn’t We Just Trust What Biden and Dems Say Is True?

During the Trump years, journalists told us that only an alert, adversarial press could save the country. Now? Everything’s fine and we should just trust the government. That’s the gist of what CBS This Morning co-host Gayle King pushed on Tuesday. Talking to Republican Senator Bill Cassidy about the COVID relief bill, she suggested that Joe Biden probably knows best for us.
After Cassidy talked about a difference on numbers and how much money needs to be spent, King, a Democratic donor who has vacationed with the Obamas, lectured:
Let’s start with the numbers. Because I’ve heard Team Biden says this, “Listen, we didn’t make these numbers up willy nilly. We went line by line. We want the moment to be met at this particular time.” And that was the number they came up with to meet the need. Shouldn’t they have a good starting point of a number? Isn’t that a good idea? “Go big,” they say.

Oh, well, if Team Biden says it, we should probably just assume it’s the truth. The Senator responded with facts that were apparently uninteresting to King:
Let’s just take schools. They want $135 billion with a "B" from K through 12. The CDC, the Center for Disease Control, has said you need about worst case scenario $455 per student to reopen schools. Congress already given over a thousand dollars per student, almost if you add it up, 2.5 times than the CDC says necessary. Now, we put 20 billion in our package increases further but you have to ask yourself if we are two to three or four times what the CDC says needed, why do you need $135 billion?
The co-host ignored this and responded by telling Cassidy about “people who are hurting.”
I know. But we could get bogged down with the numbers but I think the thing people keep on talking about is the need of the American people who are hurting at this time, who need the money right now. If we go with Republicans’ plan, we’ll be back to where we started? So, why not start it now where people are in need at this particular time right now?
Co-host Anthony Mason spouted the same talking points and suggested that compromise was all about the Republicans caving: "Well, Senator, I think a lot of families would say they are still struggling. Democrats have signaled they can put this bill through with or without Republicans votes. Do you see room for compromise here?"
Later, King asked the Republican about the repellant actions and comments from freshman Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene. Mitch McConnell has condemned her conspiracy theories, something Cassidy concurred with, saying, “I agree with him entirely.” The co-host pretended she didn’t even hear this and tried to tar the entire GOP with Green:
But Senator, a lot of senators are not saying what you and Mitch McConnell are saying out loud publicly.  Do you think there needs to be people who are saying out loud, “We got to stick to the facts”? It seems many people are running for the hills instead of saying about her comment, “this is outrageous.” What should be done about that?

8:07 AM ET
GAYLE KING: Senator Bill Cassidy was one of the ten Republican lawmakers who met with President Biden yesterday. He joins us now this morning. Good morning, it is good to see you. I want to pick up of what Senator Collins said that the meeting was useful. It was two hours. So it seems like quite a bit of time. What was your take on the meeting?
SENATOR BILL CASSIDY: Exactly that and I would add a little bit more. It sets the stage for going forward. We obviously have disagree in numbers and the president said, “Okay we’ll send you that which we are basing our numbers on.” And the senators will send the administration the facts we’re basing our numbers on. Ideally, if we have a common set of facts, we come to a common perception of how much need there is and therefor how much to spend.
KING: And let’s start with the numbers. Because I’ve heard Team Biden says this, “Listen, we didn’t make these numbers up willy nilly. We went line by line. We want the moment to be met at this particular time. And that was the number they came up with to meet the need. Shouldn’t they have a good starting point of a number? Isn’t that a good idea? “Go big,” they say. CASSIDY: It is a good idea but let’s just take schools. The President says he’ll give us the numbers.
KING: I know. But we could get bogged down with the numbers but I think the thing people keep on talking about is the need of the American people who are hurting at this time, who need the money right now. If we go with Republicans’ plan, we’ll be back to where we started? So, why not start it now where people are in need at this particular time right now?

MASON: Well, Senator, I think a lot of families would say they are still struggling. Democrats have signaled they can put this bill through with or without Republicans votes. Do you see room for compromise here?

MASON: Senator, I want to ask your remarks that Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell made calling out Freshman Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene. He said, quote, "Loony lies and conspiracy theories which are a cancer for the Republican Party and country." That’s what he called some of her remarks. What is your reaction to what he said? CASSIDY: I agree with him entirely. …
KING: But Senator, a lot of senators are not saying what you and Mitch McConnell are saying out loud publicly.  Do you think there needs to be people who are saying out loud, “We got to stick to the facts”? It seems many people are running for the hills instead of saying about her comment, “this is outrageous.” What should be done about that? …
KING: All right. Hopefully you and others will speak up. Because the facts really do matter here. Thank you very much for your time this morning.

Polish Government to Breitbart: Big Tech’s ‘Cancel Culture’ Is Bolshevik, Not Democratic

“Cancel culture aims to make people afraid to express their opinions” and Big Tech is working with the far left to promote this environment which has more in common with the methods of Soviet Russia than modern democracies, a Polish government minister has told Breitbart London.

Sebastian Kaleta is Poland’s deputy minister for justice and the man tasked with shepherding a new law meant to give protections to Polish citizens from censorious and over-powerful Silicon Valley big-tech firms. He told Breitbart London that Poland has real concerns about cancel culture and is legislating against it.

Kaleta said that while the worst excesses of political correctness has yet to be felt in socially conservative Poland, his government was watching developments elsewhere — including where political correctness had developed into a full hard-left culture — with concern.

Kaleta made clear that Poland’s 50 years of living under Soviet communist occupation and then rule had left the nation cautious about modern developments in censorship — something he said other nations which had never suffered under communism appeared to be blind to. He said: “The pressure from the far left has developed from soft political correctness into a much harsher phase, that of cancel culture… [it is] very worrying, and is more reminiscent of bolshevik standards than democratic ones.”

Observing the dangerous path that many Western countries are now walking, Kaleta offered a lesson from Poland’s recent past when “reeducation camps” were the norm for deviants and those who criticised the prevailing orthodoxy. He continued: “Cancel culture aims to make people afraid to express their opinions.

“The signals from the left are clear — if you do not agree with us and you criticise us, the ‘system’ we have created will not only get you fired, but it will also limit your access to certain services and products.”

Ultimately, Kaleta said, the “neo-Marxists” calling the shots within cultural institutions like the mainstream media and Silicon Valley were using “methods which are closer to those of Soviet Russia than social democracy”. He cited the case of now-cancelled, but until recently the most successful author on earth, J.K. Rowling, as an example of the power of that cancel culture, noting simply: “Slowly but surely, the revolution devours its own children.”

The comments to Breitbart London come as Kaleta and the Polish government introduce a new law to protect Polish citizens from censorship at the hands of a remote Silicon Valley elite. Under the new plan, Poles who found their accounts and posts blocked, deleted, or limited for messages which offended Big Tech morals but which did not fall foul of Polish law could appeal for redress.

Poland’s prospective parliament-appointed free speech board could demand social media networks reinstate the accounts of wronged Poles. Poland could levy fines of up to 50 million zloty ($14 million) per offence in cases where they refused to comply. Ultimately, he explained: “Freedom of speech needs to be defended from censorship.”

Rep. Jackie Speier Suggests Labeling Republicans Terrorists

Kamala Harris already becoming a problem for Biden White House

I suspect that regret already is setting in among his handlers over their pick of Kamala Harris for Joe Biden’s running mate. Then first of what will be many clean-up efforts began yesterday for her bungling an incident 8 days in office.  CNN reports:

The White House called Democratic Sen. Joe Manchin after Vice President Kamala Harris conducted interviews with West Virginia media, according to a person with knowledge of the conversation.

The outreach comes after Harris’ apparent move to apply pressure on Manchin frustrated the conservative Democrat, something that he made clear over the weekend.

The pressure VP Harris attempted to apply came in the form of an exclusive interview she granted to WSAZ TV in Huntington, WV. Curiously, I have been unable to locate a video clip on Rumble or YouTube or Twitter. Even WSAZ’s own website is not making available what has to be one of the most newsworthy broadcast moments in the station’s history.

In the interview, Harris tried to pressure the popular former governor by speaking directly to his own constituents:

On Thursday, Harris promoted the $1.9 trillion Covid relief plan in interviews with television stations in West Virginia and Arizona — states that are home to Democrats whose votes could be critical to passing Covid relief, including Manchin in West Virginia and Sen. Kyrsten Sinema, along with Sen. Mark Kelly, who will face re-election in the state in 2022, in Arizona.

In an interview with WSAZ Thursday, Harris said she and Biden believe it’s important to “work with a sense of urgency” to address the public health and economic crisis. The Vice President touted the package, saying it’s “about opening schools back up in a safe way, it’s about getting support for small businesses, getting relief for families.”

Harris also spoke about the economic situation of the West Virginia coal industry.

“All of those skilled workers who are in the coal industry and transferring those skills to what we need to do in terms of dealing with reclaiming abandoned land mines; what we need to do around plugging leaks from oil and gas wells; and, transferring those important skills to the work that has yet to be done that needs to get done,” she said.

I am fairly certain Harris did not mean what she literally said: that unemployed coal miners ought to hunt for unexploded land mines, one of the most horrifically dangerous occupations imaginable (and a favorite cause of Princess Di). She probably meant reclaiming old coal mines by decontamination and planting of ground cover over the sites where people used to earn a good living. But such is her arrogance that she has not admitted that she misspoke.

Machin publicly complained (video at the link) on the same West Virginia TV station about not being consulted before being, in essence, shamed before his electorate:

“I saw [the interview], I couldn’t believe it. No one called me [about it],” Manchin said. “We’re going to try to find a bipartisan pathway forward, but we need to work together. That’s not a way of working together.”

Given the 50-50 split of the Senate, The Democrats can’t afford to lose Manchin’s vote on any measure that won’t attract Republican votes. They ought to flattering and offering boons to him at every opportunity, not shaming him. That, apparently, never occurred to Kamala, her aides, or whatever White House staff (if any) were consulted about the interview.

So, Jen Psaki had to admit yesterday, without even her customary dodge of circling back, that someone — she would not say who – had phoned Senator Manchin about the interview, presumably to make amends. Even CNN, well connected with the Biden White House, could not even get a straight answer:

The source [“a person with knowledge of the conversation”] declined to say what the White House said to Manchin or who from the White House called him, but the call underscores the delicate balancing act President Joe Biden faces as he and Democrats try to hold a narrow Senate majority together to pass a sweeping Covid relief plan — and any other legislation this year.

I am pretty sure that this means that some heavy-duty groveling was involved. Like many people widely mocked outside their home state. West Virginians are a proud bunch and do not react well to strangers looking down their noses at them. Harris, already a wealthy Californian, whose stepdaughter just received a modeling contract that is difficult to justify on aesthetic gfrounds, personifies status, privilgem and arrogance.

At the time the-Senator Harris was chosen as Biden’s running mate, a female who could claim Black heritage was demographically almost mandatory, given the role of the Black constituency in putting Biden over the top in the South Carolina primary, and its standing as a quarter of the Dems’ voting base. And, if the party were going to go with another white male at the top of the ticket, a female also was virtually mandatory in the veep slot.

But Harris has no subtlety, no finesse. She got her start in politics by sleeping with the (married) most powerful politician in California, and since then has risen through the hierarchy of public offices based on identity politics and personal pull in a one-party state.

With Biden’s physical and mental health questionable, she has a good chance to become the first female POTUS without being elected to the office. Cleaning up after her messes then, in the hands of her chosen staff of lackeys, may be costly to all of us, not just to her dignity.

Operation ‘Deprogram’: Time for a ‘Cleansing’ of Conservatives

It didn’t matter that most Republicans and conservatives decried the horrible January 6 Capitol Hill riots. Liberal journalists nevertheless exploited the event to target them as “cultists” who needed to be “deprogrammed.”
This past month saw the likes of the Washington Post Associate Editor Eugene Robinson and former CBS Evening News anchor Katie Couric calling for Donald Trump supporters to be “deprogrammed.” ABC News political director Rick Klein tweeted about “cleansing the movement.”
CNN senior media reporter Oliver Darcy demanded a deplatforming of conservatives from social media sites and cable TV, as he advocated for an“informational environment” clean-up.
This was all in addition to the hype journalists gave the incoming Biden administration that can be found here.
The following are some of the worst (non-Inauguration) outbursts from liberal journos (and celebrities) over the last month.

How Do We “Deprogram” Millions of Racist, Violent Trump Cultists?

“The Klan was lower income, the white Citizens’ Councils were the Josh Hawleys and Ted Cruzes of their day. Here’s the situation, though….There are millions of Americans, almost all white, almost all Republicans who somehow need to be deprogrammed….It’s as if they are members of a cult, the Trumpist cult and they have to be deprogrammed. Do you have any idea how we start that process? Much less complete it?”
— Washington Post columnist Eugene Robinson on MSNBC’s Morning Joe, January 12.
“How are we going to really, almost deprogram these people who have signed up for the cult of Trump?”
— Former NBC’s Today show co-host and CBS Evening News anchor Katie Couric on HBO’s Real Time with Bill Maher, January 15.

Yikes! “Cleansing?”
“Trump will be an ex-president in 13 days. The fact is that getting rid of Trump is the easy part. Cleansing the movement he commands is going to be something else.”

Time to Censor the Conservatives

You have corporations and people that are profiting off lies and conspiracy theories, whether that’s big tech, whether that’s Fox News, whether that’s TV providers that beam OAN and Newsmax into homes, or Rush Limbaugh. There are a lot of people profiting off of lies and conspiracy theories, and I don’t really see how things get better, how we move on as a country until this informational environment is cleaned up.”

— Host Fareed Zakaria on CNN’s The Divided State of America: What is Tearing Us Apart?, January 31.

“Yesterday, Democratic Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez tweeted about the GameStop story, saying Robinhood’s decision to block retail investors was unacceptable. Republican Senator Ted Cruz said he fully agreed with her stance. But Ocasio-Cortez wants nothing to do with him. Firing back on Twitter,  quote, ‘I’m happy to work on Republicans on this issue where there is common ground. But you almost had me murdered three weeks ago so you can sit this one out. Happy to work with almost any other GOP [sic] that aren’t trying to get me killed. In the meantime, if you want to help, you can resign.’ So Michael Steele, I think that’s kind of a fair response.”

Screw Unity! It’s Our Turn!
“There is not a single member of the Republican Party who cared at all about unity when Donald Trump waved his misogyny flag or waved his racism flag, or waved his ‘reporters are the enemy of the people’ flag. He sought to divide people on an hourly basis on his Twitter feed. So the excuse for not doing something, cannot be, most not be, from any Republican that unity is now today their priority.
