Donald Trump and Kim Jong-un Sign Document for ‘Complete Denuclearization’ of Korean Peninsula

President Donald Trump surprised reporters after he and North Korean dictator Kim Jong-un exited a working lunch following a series of meetings.

We had a really fantastic meeting. A lot of progress. Really, very positive, I think better than anybody could have expected, top of the line, really good. We’re going right now for a signing,” Trump told reporters as the pair walked by the press.

Both leaders paused and spoke briefly before going separate ways at the doorway of the hotel.

Trump also showed Kim the interior of his presidential limousine as they walked together outside the hotel, according to the Associated Press.

Trump’s statesmanship surprise

Nobody knew.  None of us saw it.  Among his biggest supporters, maybe a handful suspected it.  Many of us expected the economic renewal of the U.S. to happen.  Many of us foresaw a significant roll back of Saint Barack’s horrid, destructive agenda.   A lot of us hoped for a major push back on the left.

All of which we have gotten.

None of us, no one I have read, no one I know, expected Donald Trump to be a giant in foreign policy.  No one expected him to reshape the world.  Yet Donald Trump, in a short time, is doing so.

That was supposed to be one of the reasons to vote against him.  He had no foreign policy experience.  He did not understand the world.  He was going to lead us into wars.  He would be taken advantage of by our enemies.  He would ruin our alliances.  He would be a rube.   A bumpkin.  An embarrassment.  That was what we were told.

Well.  Guess what, NeverTrumps!  You were so wrong, desperately wrong.  Your shame should be bottomless.   Bill Kristol, Max Boot, all of you stand up and please voluntarily go into the stocks and throw rotten veggies at yourselves.   You should be ashamed to speak.  Yep, the entire left-leaning foreign policy establishment as well.  All of you.

I did not expect this, never saw this as one of Trump’s strengths.  Nonetheless, we have not seen a better, more fruitful, and more capable foreign policy than this administration since the great Ronald Reagan.

Here are some of his accomplishments:

He has succeeded in having North Korea agree (document signed today here) to complete denuclearization.  The North Koreans have destroyed their main nuclear testing site.  They have given us three hostages without the plane loads of cash the Iranians got.  North Korea is considering ending the long war with its southern neighbor.  So much has happened with this story, it’s close to as big and consequential a historical event as the coming down of the wall in Berlin and the fall of the Soviet Union.  We won’t know for a while.  But for the first time in our lifetimes, there is a genuine negotiation to deal with the nuclear nightmare that the North Koreans have brought the world in the past decades.

The decimation of ISIS.  In less than one year, their caliphate dreams have been shattered, their bases of operation destroyed.

The realignment of the Middle East.  Most nations are choosing to ally together against Iran, and with us.  Even Saudi Arabia is a clear ally, and of *gasp* Israel, too.

Israel is a stronger ally than ever.  We have moved our embassy to Jerusalem.

Trump’s success in connecting with the premier of China.

His dropping of the TPP deal, and subsequent current individual negotiations with the Pacific countries, such as Japan and South Korea.

His current renegotiation with Canada and Mexico on NAFTA.

His clear connection with Macron of France and the upcoming prime minister of Italy.

His clear words to the G7 this week that America will no longer be the piggy bank to the world.

His clear message to the globalist elites that we will not succumb to their foolish nonsensical wastefulness of the (so-called) Paris Climate Accord.

His pulling out of the disastrous Iran nuclear deal.  He is clearly signaling to those in Iran who oppose the mullahs that he will, unlike the ugly American Barack Obama, support them if they take the lead in getting rid of those medieval tyrants.  He is forging a potent alliance against them.

He has effectively signaled Assad and Putin that they will not be able to get away with the things they did so easily under the former disastrous Obama administration.

Now, let me take a hard poke at the leftist crazies who are the mainstream media.  When virtually all of them celebrated the demise of the Korean summit some weeks ago, it was a sad sight to behold.  People who should have been yearning for a peaceful solution to the North Korean saga of the last decades decided to cheer when it looked like the summit was off.  So-called journalists named Mika, Rachel, Joe, Andrew, and Jake literally every leftist journalist, cheered because the deal appeared to have gone south.  No more talk of a Peace Prize, they all cackled.  See, we told you Trump was way over his head, didn’t we?

Well, when I first read the letter from Trump calling off the summit, it was crystal-clear to me, and anyone paying attention, that Trump was negotiating.  He knew what he was doing, and he was several moves ahead of everyone else (as usual).  ‘Twas obvious as the nose in front of any Democrat operative pretending to be a journalist’s face.  Did they not read The Art of the Deal?  Do these fake news-purveyors never tire of being wrong or losing?

I think not.

Unlike their hero Barack O, the feckless one, the one who gave everything away to whichever country he was negotiating with, Trump actually excels at negotiation.  He negotiates from strength.  He knows what he wants from a deal and pushes for it until it’s a deal that is worthwhile having.

So here we are.  The same journalistic fools who gloated in the early calling off of the summit are again caterwauling to their audience just how Trump is unprepared, how he knows nothing, how he’s going to get us in a terrible deal with the brilliant adversary Kim Jong-un.

It’s all they know.  You’d think someone would take a hook like at the old vaudeville shows and yank them off the stage.  But no, the news industry is determined to entirely destroy itself.  They are determined to make fools of themselves one more time.  Determined to undermine their own sanity by promising Trump will fail.  Again.

Will the last people who watch our so called “news” media, the last to leave the building please turn off the lights?

As Americans, we can be certain Trump will not sell us out.  Whether this summit succeeds in actually changing North Korea and denuclearizing the peninsula, we won’t really know for a while.  What we do know is that no other American leader has succeeded in getting this far.  What we do know is that Trump as foreign policy expert will continue to surprise us and the world.

Enjoy it while you can.  We’ve not seen a foreign policy team this good at realigning the word since Reagan.

One remarkable surprise.

Nancy Pelosi Trashes Trump over North Korea Summit; Called Iran Deal ‘Diplomatic Masterpiece’

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) trashed President Donald Trump’s diplomatic efforts Tuesday at a summit with North Korea’s Kimg Jong-un in Singapore, claiming he had conceded too much to the regime.

The would-be Speaker of the House also complained that Trump had insulted American allies and sidelined the experts at the State Department.

Pelosi’s full statement, as reported by Alex Moe of NBC News, is as follows:

Nuclear nonproliferation is a pillar of America’s national security. We respect any serious and real diplomatic efforts to achieve that goal on the Korean peninsula. Apparently, the President just handed Kim Jong-un concessions in exchange for vague promises that do not approach a clear and comprehensive pathway to denuclearization and non-proliferation.

In his haste to reach an agreement, President Trump elevated North Korea to the level of the United States while preserving the regime’s status quo. The millions of families currently living in fear of nuclear weapons in the region deserve strong and smart leadership built-in diplomacy and engagement with our regional partners and allies.

The president’s marginalization of the State Department and his habitual disparaging of our allies as demonstrated at the G7 Forum hinders a lasting, stable pathway to peace.

Pelosi did not stipulate which concessions Trump had made. The U.S. did not relax sanctions –as the Obama administration had with Iran merely to start negotiations — and U.S. allies in the region were generally encouraged by the historic the talks.

On Tuesday, South Korea praised the summit: “”[The] Agreement will be recorded as a historic event that has helped break down the last remaining Cold War legacy on earth. It is a great victory achieved by both the United States and the two Koreas, and a huge step forward for people across the world.”

In 2015, Pelosi called the Iran deal a “diplomatic masterpiece.” A decade earlier, she traveled to Syria to hold talks with Syrian dictator Bashar al-Assad, who later slaughtered hundreds of thousands of his own people.

Senate Democrats issued a list of demands last week that they said any agreement with North Korea would have to meet to earn their support. The Iran deal violated every one of them.

Delingpole: Trump Just Became the Nobel Peace Prize Committee’s Worst Nightmare

President Trump just became the Nobel Peace Prize committee’s worst nightmare.

As he didn’t neglect to remind us in his hilarious post North Korea summit press conference, President Trump just saved maybe 30 million people from nuclear annihilation. He did what his predecessors considered impossible and what the liberal media and all the “experts” continue to assure us can never be done: he brought peace to the region which up till now was considered the likeliest ground zero for World War III.

In other words, pretty much, President Trump just saved the world.

Beat that Barack Obama! Suck on this, all you liberal MSM and NeverTrumpers! Who’s the boss now, President Xi Ping of China? Remind me what your name was again, Prime Minister – Bieber, is it? – of Canada. How are you going to wriggle out of this one, all you buttoned up bien-pensants at the Nobel Prize academy?

These were just of the few things President Trump didn’t actually say at his hugely entertaining post-summit press conference in Singapore. But then he didn’t need to. Anyone watching could read the subtext for themselves.

“I’ll do whatever it take to make the world a better place,” said President Trump in the special, soften humble-brag voice he uses to wind up reporters from Time.

What he meant was: “You still think I’m not the greatest president you’re ever likely to see in your life time? Hold my beer…”

Looking bright and alert on virtually no sleep, Trump worked the event like an Olympic sprinter doing a victory lap of the track after smashing the world record. This was his moment – one to cherish with his friends and supporters; one to rub in the noses of his enemies – and he was in no mood to rush his time in the sun. To show us just how much he was enjoying it, he casual-ostentatiously asked his press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders if she’d allow him an extension…

Goodness, it must have been annoying for his critics. If this had been Obama, the BBC and CNN would have been running replays 24/7 for months to come: this was a master at the very top of his game, winning new friends, confounding his enemies, reminding the world that he is by some margin its greatest, most charismatic leader.

This was a masterclass on how to be Leader of the Free World in the era of social media, reality TV and a global populist revolt against the staid, dishonest, sclerotic political class.

You bypass the media – treating them with a mix of jocular affection and amused contempt – and speak directly to the people in language they can understand.

There were so many choice moments that it sometimes felt more like a comedy set by an experienced stand up than the President of the USA. Trump has the same skill set: quick-witted, funny, thinks on his feet, even better on the ad libs than he is on the pre-prepared material.

I loved his line when asked about North Korea’s possible political and economic future. After explaining that it was really Kim Jong Un’s decision, not his, he couldn’t resist adding a helpful suggestion.

“They have great beaches. (You see that when they’re firing off their cannon). Think of that from a real estate perspective.”

See what he did there?

I’ll explain because I don’t want to sound like some David L Brooks character from the Obama era, hailing every presidential fart like it was the heavenly ambrosia which precedes the Second Coming.

No, Trump is not just impressive, but demonstrably brilliant at what he does.

So in those sentences I just quoted, he manages in the space of less than 30 seconds to move from economic policy outline to humorous mockery to self-aggrandising self-reference to his skills as a big swinging dick real estate player. Apart from being varied, interesting – keeping his listeners on their toes because they just never know what he’s going to say next – it also very clearly delineates US foreign policy objectives for North Korea. “Sure, you could go back to being a comedy, no-hope war-zone hell hole waiting to explode, like you were before,” Trump is telling Kim Jong-Un. “But don’t you think it would make so much sense, for all of us, if you became the hot new tourist resort for the enormous South Korean and Chinese markets instead?”

People who don’t get this – which of course still means the entirety of the liberal MSM and the Davos-going global elite  – don’t get it because they don’t want to get it.

They’ll continue to pontificate that President Trump is a vulgar, stupid, undignified, egotistical, hamfisted, troublemaking, divisive, dangerous braggart because that’s the only way they’re ever going to be able to deal with fact that he is so obviously #winning. Sure he might get the odd thing right, probably by accident – or, in the case of North Korea, because of all the amazing groundwork done by the genius Obama and by the arch deal-maker Dennis Rodman – but it’s all OK because in their heads they just know that Trump is the bad guy while they are all vastly his superior.

Meanwhile, every day, Trump is going to keep on reminding us that he is the greatest US president since Reagan, maybe even of our lifetimes. His second term is assured. As is his place in the pantheon.

Nice job, the Donald!

Audience Gives De Niro Standing O for Saying ‘F**k Trump’ at Tony Awards

These days, what’s an awards show without some politics mixed in, right? The latest example happened June 10 during the 72nd Annual Tony Awards on CBS, honoring the best on Broadway. The three-hour show started off relatively tame in comparison to some of the Hollywood extravaganzas but nonetheless, they persisted.

Robert De Niro came out to introduce singer Bruce Springsteen but first delivered his own message. It was a vulgar reference to President Trump and it was quickly bleeped out by CBS. As a viewer at home, I couldn’t tell what he said but the audience stood and cheered him on.

According to reports, he said, “I’m gonna say one thing, fuck Trump!” and “It’s no longer ‘Down With Trump,’ it’s ‘Fuck Trump.’”

Aside from that, the most blatant political display was that of Tony Kushner as he accepted the award for the Best Revival of a Play, Angels in America. Among the three dates coming up he wanted to mention, one was November 6. Yes, the mid-term elections. He wants to make sure that the right to vote is protected. And, he wants the mid-terms to heal our country, heal our planet. That’s quite a tall order.

width:720 height:405 align:center]

Rufus Norris: Thank you, thank you. Thank you to everyone involved in the Tonys. For the National Theater to bring this particular American classic back home and to be so honored is a real privilege. Credit must go to Tim levy and Jordan Roth, our producers, all our co-producers, an absolutely extraordinary cast, an amazing creative team, the gang at the Neil Simon, the one and only unique Marianne Elliott who so exquisitely has honored the writing of the greatest Tony in the house and that is Tony Kushner.

Tony Kushner: So I want to talk briefly about three dates. Five weeks until July 15, five weeks left to see this gloriously alive production written by this magnificent director, of this play, that is half as old as I am. That is the first. Second date, 21 weeks until November 6th, mid-term election. 21 weeks to make sure, 21 weeks to make sure that the right of citizens to vote is protected and exercised. 21 weeks to save our democracy and heal our country and heal our plant. And what kind of a homosexual would I be if I didn’t say it’s June 10th. Happy birthday Judy Garland.

The very first award, presented was to the Best Leading Actor and it started the ball rolling. Actor Andrew Garfield won for Angels of America and gave a shout-out to the LGBT community. Then he took a little swipe at the recent Supreme Court decision to allow a small business owner in Colorado the freedom of practicing his religion. The baker turned down the request of a gay couple to bake their wedding cake. So, Garfield said, “Let’s just bake a cake for everyone who wants a cake to be baked.” Not real deep thinking, but the message was delivered.

There was a performance by the drama department of Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School. The school in Parkland, Florida, you will remember, was the scene of a mass shooting by a disturbed student. The Director of the Drama Department, Melody Herzfeld, received an award for Excellence in Theatre Education for sheltering 65 students in a small office for 2 hours that day. Fortunately, we were all spared any diatribes about gun violence or anti-NRA screeds.

I enjoy theatre. I especially enjoy musical theatre. For that reason, the show is tolerable for me because of the performances throughout the evening. The smug, self-congratulatory tone wasn’t so entertaining, though. Only in their little Broadway bubble are these folks better than anyone buying a ticket to see one of their plays. Maybe one day that message will be delivered. How does cursing the president, duly elected by half of the country, bring about the unity and love that all these Broadway people preach?

Read of the Day: Sharyl Attkisson knocks one out of the park with devastating analogy

Sometimes an analogy is the best way to change minds. Commitment to one side in a debate can lock minds into a framework. But take the same principles and apply them to an analogous situation where the locked-in prejudices don’t apply, and the blinders can fall away.

That is exactly what Ms. Attkisson has done with a column in The Hill. She takes on the ridiculous reasoning applied to justifying the FBI spying on the Trump campaign and applies it to bank robbery. She begins:

Once upon a time, the FBI said some thugs planned to rob a bank in town. Thugs are always looking to rob banks. They try all the time. But at this particular time, the FBI was hyper-focused on potential bank robberies in this particular town.

The best way to prevent the robbery – which is the goal, after all – would be for the FBI to alert all the banks in town. “Be on high alert for suspicious activity,” the FBI could tell the banks. “Report anything suspicious to us. We don’t want you to get robbed.”

Instead, in this fractured fairytale, the FBI followed an oddly less effective, more time-consuming, costlier approach. It focused on just one bank. And, strangely, it picked the bank that was least likely to be robbed because nobody thought it would ever get elected president – excuse me, I mean, because it had almost no cash on hand. (Why would robbers want to rob the bank with no cash?)

Stranger still, this specially-selected bank the FBI wanted to protect above all others happened to be owned by a man who was hated inside and outside the FBI.

So, to protect this bank owned by the guy the FBI hated, the FBI secretly examined a list of bank employees and identified a few it claimed would be likely to help robbers – or, at least, would not stop a robbery. How did it select these targets? By profiling them based on their pasts.

These particular bank employees, the FBI said, were chosen because they worked long ago with customers who might have known bank robbers in the past – maybe not the particular robbers planning a bank robbery this time, but different people who knew people who were thought to have robbed banks in the past … or, perhaps, people who thought of robbing banks at some point but never got around to it.

It gets even better, making the absurdities of the justifications for the spying obvious. Read the whole thing.

Bourdain: Casualty of Leftist Mindset

My fashionista wife Mary told me the famous purse designer Kate Spade shockingly committed suicide. Upon hearing about the tragic suicide of Anthony Bourdain, this scripture came to mind. “For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?” (Mark 8:36) Bourdain was famous, and worth $16 million.

Folks, we live is such an evil time that merely suggesting that people are better off with God in their lives is venomously attacked and branded fanatical religious hate speech. But I am going to go there anyway.

Mr. Bourdain, and I suspect Ms. Spade, were leftists. Typically, leftists think themselves too smart -– too sophisticated to believe in God. Remember the closed-door fundraising event at which Obama demeaned fly-over-country voters for clinging to their guns and religion?

On the Christian-hating “View” TV show, Joy Behar called Vice President Pence “mentally ill” for saying he talks to Jesus. Historian David Barton documents how America was founded upon our Founders praying and receiving guidance from God.

In 1798, founding father John Adams said, “Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people.” Today, Christian politicians are branded “dangerous” by leftist-dominated mainstream media.

The Democrat party hijacked by leftists removed God from their platform. When Democrats voted God back into their platform the convention floor erupted with angry boos. Can you imagine a political party so wicked that they boo God?

Leftists laugh at Christians. Leftists erroneously believe man is the ultimate power, capable of regulating equal outcomes. They foolishly believe man can save or destroy the planet. Michael Crichton brilliantly articulates leftist folly in his novel Jurassic Park. Believing themselves to be wiser than God, leftists always fight to change God’s original intent regarding biology, marriage, and gender.

This scripture nails the leftist mindset. “Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools.” (Romans 1:22) Folks, we witness their foolishness every day. They say that if a man awakes feeling like a woman that day, he should be legally permitted to use public women restrooms. They say that teachers addressing students as boys and girls is hateful and exclusive and must not be tolerated. They say four-year-olds must be introduced to homosexuality and taught “gay love is beautiful”.

For eight years Obama forced anti-God extreme liberal foolishness down the throats of mainstream commonsense thinking Americans. Thank God Trump is rolling back Obama’s war on Christianity, restoring our constitutional religious liberty.

Obama was the left’s dream president. He aggressively stripped the God of Christianity from our government. Obama chastised Christians at the National Prayer Breakfast. He relentlessly tried to bully the one-hundred-year-old Little Sisters of the Poor into funding abortion services, an anathema against their religious convictions. Obama enthusiastically honored homosexuals, Black Lives Matter, and Muslims with celebrations at the White House while turning away the National Day of Prayer. Obama was the most biblically-hostile president in U.S. history.

Disney’s movie, A Wrinkle in Time, starring Oprah Winfrey struggled at the box office. Perhaps the reason is leftist producers stripped Bible quotes, a reference to Jesus and historical Christian figures from the movie adaptation of the beloved children’s book.

While threatening to jail anyone disrespectful of Islam, leftists boldly display disdain for Christianity. They hate Jesus for saying, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” (John14:6)

How dare Jesus declare himself the only way to heaven. Liberal media goddess Oprah has decreed that Jesus is not the only way to God. Oprah foolishly professes herself to be wise, too enlightened to believe Jesus Christ is the only path to God.

The gangster movie Scarface has a strong biblical message. Drug lord Tony Montana had everything he thought would bring him happiness; power, a mountain of cocaine, extreme wealth, and beautiful women at his command. And yet, Tony was miserable. All Tony’s stuff could not fill that spiritual void inside which produces peace, happiness, and a fulfilled life.

Sadly, Mr. Bourdain’s and Ms. Spade’s extreme wealth, power, and fame failed to produce inner peace and happiness. Both are unfortunate casualties of leftist mindsets, too smart and too sophisticated to humbly trust in the God of Christianity.

Robert De Niro at the Tony Awards: ‘F*ck Trump!’

While speaking onstage at the Tony Awards on Sunday night, actor Robert De Niro went after President Donald Trump, saying, “f*** Trump” multiple times.

“I’m going to say one thing: ‘F— Trump,’” De Niro said before presenting an award. “It’s no longer ‘down with Trump.’ It’s ‘f— Trump.’”

The audience responded by giving the actor a standing ovation.

De Niro’s tirade comes on the heels of him unloading on the president by comparing him to Adolf Hitler and calling him “soulless.”
