NYC Terror Suspect Came to U.S. as Foreign Relative of ‘Visa Lottery’ Immigrant

The Bangladesh-born terror suspect who allegedly attempted to detonate a suicide-bomb in New York was able to enter the United States as a foreign relative of an immigrant, extended-family member who had won a visa to the U.S. under the Diversity Visa Lottery.

On Monday 27-year-old Akayed Ullah, a Bangladesh national, injured three individuals when he allegedly tried to detonate a suicide bomb in New York City in a planned terrorist attack.

In a statement by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Ullah was able to enter the U.S. in 2011 as a foreign relative after one of his family members was awarded a Green Card in the Visa Lottery.

Every year, the Visa Lottery — championed by Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY) — gives out 50,000 visas to foreign nationals from a multitude of countries, including those with known terrorist problems – such as Afghanistan, Algeria, Bangladesh, Egypt, Iraq, Lebanon, Libya, Nigeria, Saudi Arabia, Somalia, Syria, Trinidad and Tobago, Venezuela, Yemen, and Uzbekistan.

As Breitbart News reported, Ullah was able to obtain a visa as the nephew of his Visa Lottery relative. This process of extended-family mass immigration to the U.S. is known as “chain migration.”

Chain migration allows new immigrants to the U.S. to bring an unlimited number of foreign relatives with them.

Ullah came to the U.S. through the F43 visa, allowing him to obtain a Green Card simply because his father’s brother or sister had recently been allotted a visa under the Visa Lottery.

Under the Visa Lottery, 14,869 Bangladeshi nationals entered the U.S. between 2007 and 2012, as Breitbart News reported.

  • 3,518 Visa Lottery winners in 2007
  • 2,286 Visa Lottery winners in 2008
  • 2,663 Visa Lottery winners in 2009
  • 3,017 Visa Lottery winners in 2010
  • 3,090 Visa Lottery winners in 2011
  • 295 Visa Lottery winners in 2012

Since 2013, Bangladesh was thrown off the list of foreign countries eligible for the Visa Lottery because the country became one of the largest immigrant-sending countries to the U.S., with the number of chain migrants arriving from Bangladesh more than doubling between 2005 and 2016, Breitbart News reported.

Ullah is the second terrorist in less than three months to have been allowed to enter the U.S. because of the Visa Lottery.

Suspected ISIS-inspired New York City terrorist, Uzbek national 29-year-old Sayfullo Saipov, who is accused of murdering at least eight individuals, entered the U.S. in 2010 by winning one of the 50,000 visas randomly allotted in the Visa Lottery.

Researchers with the Center for Immigration Studies have estimated that the impact of the Visa Lottery coupled with chain migration has led to a flow of nearly five million foreign nationals arriving in the U.S. since 1994, a population that is larger than the city of Los Angeles, California.

Hatred Against Conservative Students on Liberal College Campus Reaches New Low

The left constantly preaches “tolerance”… but it looks like progressives are not actually able to tolerate anything that doesn’t match a pre-set worldview.

That liberal intolerance was on full display over the weekend, when the manager of an on-campus coffee shop at a New York university ordered a group of conservative students to get out of the cafe.

Their “crime”? Daring to order while wearing “Make America Great Again” hats and American flag hats.

Campus Reform reported that a woman who identified herself as a manager of Rodrigue’s Coffee House at Fordham University told several college Republicans that they were not welcome in the shop.

“I am protecting my customers,” declared the unnamed young woman during the confrontation, which was captured on video.

TRENDING: These 2 Freeze Frames Likely Show Why the Jury Acquitted AZ Cop Accused of Murder

“We are your customers, we bought something,” one of the conservative students replied.

“I don’t want people like you supporting this club… no one here wants people like you supporting our club,” the woman declared. “I am giving you five minutes (to leave).”

As an on-campus coffee shop, Rodrigue’s Coffee House is run by a student club.

“You are threatening the integrity of our club,” the manager claimed. “This is a community standard — you are wearing hats that completely violate safe space policy … You have to take it off or you have to go.”

The coffee shop manager insisted that their MAGA hats contained a racial slur. When asked what slur in particular, her response was to shout, “Fascism! Nazis!

Ah, yes, liberal “tolerance” in action. Wear an official campaign hat of the president of the United States and be kicked out of a shop. How open-minded!

While a private business may have the right to ask a disruptive patron to leave, there’s a major problem in this specific case: Rodrigue’s Coffee House is on the grounds of the university that the customers attend, and the shop’s own policies claim to support inclusiveness.

RELATED: Mom Tries to Prove Bullying Is Happening, Gets Felony Charges Instead

The coffee shop said that it was “open to all,” according to a profile in the college newspaper.

Rodrigue’s “is the only on-campus club that provides a daily, tangible service to all members of the Fordham community through low-priced, organic and Fair-Trade coffee drinks as well as an open community space,” the profile continued. (Emphasis added.)

“We went there and just started doing some homework and studying. Then we were asked to leave,” one of the conservative students told Campus Reform.

“We are tuition-paying students, therefore we should be able to use any building on campus that we want,” he stated. “This school is over $70,000 a year in tuition, therefore I feel that I have the right to go into all of the buildings that other students are allowed to go into.”

“I also have the right to wear what I want to wear and express my own political views,” he added. In other words, basic free speech.

The university administration acknowledged that the students had a right to be in the coffee shop, and that there is no college policy that allowed them to be removed based on their pro-America or pro-Trump hats.

“Rodrigue’s is a student-operated part of our student-led Campus Activities Board and advised by Student Affairs staff,” Bob Howe, Fordham’s assistant vice president for communications, told The Daily Caller.

“There is no university safe space policy, nor one that excludes any members of the Fordham community from any public spaces on the basis of their political views,” Howe continued.

This is modern liberalism: Hysteria over hats, blatant intolerance of any diverse political views, and an attitude of hatred against anyone who disagrees.

Freedom of expression is under attack, and it’s coming from the left.

High School Conservatives Deliver Brutal Blow After Administration Tries Silencing Them

Free speech for some, but not for others: That’s what a school district in Minnesota is accused of engaging in after it silenced a conservative group upset over anthem protests.

Now, the district is facing a federal lawsuit from members of the Young Conservatives Club.

The controversy started in November, when a group of liberal students at Edina Public School near Minneapolis protested during both the national anthem and a “taps” ceremony meant to honor soldiers on Veterans Day.

According to USA Today, the conservative student group posted a video speaking out against the protest, objecting to the behavior of several left-leaning young people who had refused to stand to honor veterans.

Several other students who were not members of the conservative club made disparaging comments on the video.

TRENDING: These 2 Freeze Frames Likely Show Why the Jury Acquitted AZ Cop Accused of Murder

A different video posted by anonymous students calling themselves Edina High School Anti-Fascists (antifa) also referenced the Young Conservatives Club, and threatened members of the conservative group.

In response to all of this, the school completely disbanded the Young Conservatives Club.

“Edina High School has essentially declared itself to be ‘Big Brother’ — to ensure that students ‘think correctly’ about the U.S. flag, political and social issues,” Erick Kaardal, an attorney representing the conservative students, told USA Today.

Edina High School Principal Andrew Beaton allegedly told club president Nick Spades that even posting the video of other students protesting the American flag and veterans was a violation of school policies.

“Spade said the principal then demanded he not only delete the GroupMe site, but also disband the Young Conservatives Club or face discipline for being in violation of an unspecified policy,” reported USA Today.

In other words, protesting the American flag is fine in the eyes of the school, but bringing attention to it isn’t permitted.

Associating with “antifa” is allowed, but pointing out disrespect toward veterans crosses the line.

“Our club was disbanded … because we were accused of being intolerant of student protesters during a Veterans Day assembly at our school,” Spades said.

The student group’s lawsuit is requesting that the school’s one-sided speech policy be deemed unconstitutional, and for the Young Conservatives Club to be reinstated.

For all the chanting about “tolerance” and “diversity” from the modern left, it looks like it only works one way. Groups that call out protesters are not just criticized but completely demolished, while veterans and the American flag are treated like the enemy.

If all of the conservative group’s claims are accurate, then the school district definitely has some explaining to do in court.

ISIS Message Two Weeks Ago Warned About ‘Christmas in New York’

Via Fox News Insider:

As Americans were celebrating Thanksgiving, ISIS issued a cryptic message about “Christmas in New York.”

“We meet at Christmas in New York… soon,” the message stated, superimposed over an image of Santa Claus and crowds in Times Square.

The image was shared online and on social media by ISIS sympathizers. And on Monday, an ISIS-inspired bomber detonated a bomb on a subway platform near Times Square.[ed. note – It wasn’t on a subway platform, it was in a tunnel under the Port Authority bus terminal.]

The suspected bomber is a 27-year-old ISIS-inspired Bangladeshi national who lived in Brooklyn, The New York Post reported. The terrorist, Akayed Ullah, was injured and taken into custody.

Three others were hurt, but none of the injuries are considered life-threatening.

Broaddrick: Being Excluded From TIME’s #MeToo Movement Story ‘Disappointed Me’

Juanita Broaddrick, one of the women who accused Bill Clinton of raping her, told Fox News host Martha McCallum that she was "disappointed" that Time did not include her comments in their "Person of the Year" profile piece on the #MeToo movement against sexual violence.

In an exclusive interview that aired Monday night, MacCallum asked Broaddrick how she felt when comments she made to Time were not included in the piece, entitled "The Silence Breakers." The article highlighted women of the #MeToo movement who have put a spotlight on sexual harassment and assault by powerful figures in Hollywood, politics, the media, and elsewhere.

"Well, it was disappointing to me, Martha. They had called to ask me and asked if I would be interested in participating in a story that they were doing about the ‘Me Too’ movement," Broaddrick said. "I really didn’t feel a part of that movement. I was ‘me too’ decades before it was okay to be ‘me too,’ and I truly didn’t feel a part of that and actually at that time I did decline because just like I said, I didn’t feel a part of it."

Broaddrick continued her response after a few audio issues and said that the magazine called her back approximately two days later to ask her if she could make a comment for the story.

"I was very happy to do that. I supported these women. I thought they were brave women and I told her ‘Yes, I would be happy to submit a comment.’ And then a few days went by and I was so happy when they were declared ‘Person of the Year,’ and when I went to look for my comments, they weren’t there," she said.

"That disappointed me," she added.

MacCallum concluded the interview by asking her about the women that came together at a press conference Monday to call for a congressional investigation into President Donald Trump’s prior sexual misconduct.

"Well, I think every victim of sexual abuse has the right to be heard and they need to have fairness accordingly," Broaddrick said. "I have no idea what is true and what’s not true. I can only speak to my own situation. It was something I lived through and that’s all I can speak to."

Broaddrick has long accused Clinton of raping her in an Arkansas hotel room in 1978.

Alabama: Politico Reveals Secret Funding of Democrat Candidate Doug Jones

One of the big questions surrounding the December 12 election in Alabama for the U.S. Senate seat is who is behind a mystery super PAC backing Democrat candidate Doug Jones against Republican Roy Moore. The Washington Post last Thursday claimed that there was no evidence of such funding by George Soros. However on the day before the election, Politico weighed in with a big story about the mystery super PAC, Highway 31, with much greater detail of the players involved.

First we begin with the Washington Post denial that there was evidence of Soros financing the Jones campaign via secret super PAC:

The attempt Wednesday to force the Highway 31 ad off the air was the latest in a string of Moore campaign complaints. On Sunday, after reports by Fox News and Breitbart about progressives registering former felons to vote, Moore suggested that liberal financier George Soros was behind it, without providing any evidence. (The voter-registration campaigners were taking advantage of a Republican-backed law.)

Well, Politico has gone into a lot of detail on the secret super PAC in Secret super PAC backing Jones in Alabama exposed:

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — A mystery super PAC backing Democrat Doug Jones in Alabama is controlled by a pair of groups closely aligned with the national Democratic Party, even as the candidate strives to dissociate himself from Washington interests.

And guess who helps fund those groups. Politico reveals the answer below:

Highway 31, which dropped more than $4.1 million in support of Jones and against Roy Moore ahead of Tuesday’s Senate special election, is a joint project of two of the largest national Democratic super PACs — Senate Majority PAC and Priorities USA Action — along with a group of Alabama Democrats, multiple senior officials familiar with the arrangement told POLITICO.

…The group’s backing has remained secret until now because federal laws do not require it to disclose its donors until after the election. Jones’ camp has kept its distance from the group, and no information has surfaced until now about its background.

…The pair of Washington-based super PACs are two of the largest in Democratic politics. Priorities spent at least $190 million to try and elect Clinton in 2016, while Senate Majority spent more than $90 million in that election cycle. The groups have collected checks from a gamut of top Democratic donors, led by longtime party contributors like George Soros, Jim Simons, Haim Saban and Fred Eychaner. While both Jones and Moore have gotten support from other outside groups in recent weeks, Highway 31 is by far the biggest-spending.

So how important is this Highway 31 super PAC?

While it has largely escaped scrutiny so far, the group is the largest outside spender in the race, outpacing the pro-Trump super PAC America First Action. The Trump-affiliated group has spent more than $1 million on Moore’s behalf this month.

Yes, Highway 31 is spending way more outside money than the opposition in order to place Doug Jones in the U.S. Senate.

Report: Fusion GPS Paid Senior Justice Department Official’s Wife During 2016 Campaign

Fusion GPS, the firm behind the Trump dossier, paid the wife of a senior Justice Department official during the 2016 election, a Fox News report revealed on Monday.

The senior Justice Department official is Bruce Ohr, who was demoted last week, just before Fox News reported that he had met with dossier author Christopher Steele during the campaign, and with Fusion GPS co-founder Glenn Simpson after the election.

He was demoted for not disclosing those meetings to the Justice Department, according to Fox News.

Until last week, Ohr was both associate deputy attorney general, putting him four doors down from Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, and director of the Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Force. Ohr was removed from his first title just a day before Fox News reported on his meetings with Fusion GPS.

“The Department of Justice has provided no public explanation for Ohr’s demotion. Officials inside the Department have told Fox News his wearing of two hats was ‘unusual,’ but also confirm Ohr had withheld his contacts with the Fusion GPS men from colleagues at the DOJ,” according to Fox News.

It is not exactly clear yet what Ohr’s wife, Nellie H. Ohr, did for Fusion GPS, but the payments to a senior Justice Department official’s wife — in addition to his meetings — raises significant questions about the relationship between the Obama Justice Department and a firm hired by the Hillary Clinton campaign and the Democratic National Committee to conduct political opposition research against Trump.

Ohr’s wife was paid by Fusion GPS through the summer and fall of 2016, the House intelligence committee confirmed to Fox News. Although it is not exactly clear what she did for Fusion GPS, a review of her published works show that she has written extensively on Russia-related subjects.

Ohr worked as a Russia expert at the Wilson Center, a Washington think tank, a decade ago. An open-source review of her work showed she has also reviewed a number of books about Russia.

Although Steele, a former British spy and longtime FBI informant, is said to have known Ohr for a decade, and an “initial investigation” suggested that Steele might have introduced Ohr to Fusion GPS’s Simpson, the revelation that his wife worked for Simpson now calls that account into question.

The web of relationships casts an even darker cloud of suspicion over the Obama Justice Department’s involvement with Fusion GPS.

House investigators are trying to figure out whether the Obama Justice Department used the dossier to launch an investigation on the Trump campaign, obtain a warrant to spy on one of its members, and perhaps pay for or help produce the dossier.

Steele provided the dossier to the FBI in July 2016, the same month that the FBI began a counterintelligence probe into alleged collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia.

The dossier was also shopped around to journalists before the election, but was not published, due to news outlets’ inability to verify its salacious claims, which included that Trump campaign officials colluded with Russia during the campaign. After being published by Buzzfeed, it has been used by President Trump’s political enemies to discredit his election.

House intelligence committee Chairman Devin Nunes (R-CA) told Fox News that it “is looking into all facets of the connections between the Department of Justice and Fusion GPS, including Mr. Ohr.”

Trump’s political opponents have cast revelations about the murky ties between Fusion GPS and the Obama Justice Department merely as a political attempt to discredit their collusion narrative.

Widow, 94, Breaks Down As Husband’s Ring, Lost After He Was Killed In WWII Plane Wreck, Is Returned To Her

Via Daily Mail:

One 94-year-old widow cried tears of joy on Sunday as she was presented with a ring she gave her husband 70 years ago before he died fighting in World War II.

Betty McAleenan of Wyoming was reunited with her high school class ring after it was found in Papua, New Guinea glimmering like a shard of hope beneath the plane wreckage that killed her husband Staff Sgt. Robert Greebull in 1944.

Greebull fought as a bomber gunner in the Wyoming Air National Guard. The cause of the crash has not been reported.

Robert and his good luck charm made it through 38 successful missions but unfortunately he lost his life during the 39th. The ring survived.

The ring was discovered amongst the shattered plane in New Guinea 40 years ago, but as of Sunday the forget me not was returned to Greebull’s wife who hasn’t forgotten her love for him–not at all.

‘He was a wonderful, wonderful guy,’ Betty McAleenan said to KLTA.

‘And I fell madly in love like all people do at that age,’ she continued.

$7.8 Million Settlement Against Biomedical Companies Accused of Profiting from Fetal Tissue Sales

$7.8 Million Settlement Against Biomedical Companies Accused of Profiting from Fetal Tissue Sales

Two Yorba Linda biomedical procurement companies have reached a $7.8 million settlement with the Orange County, California, district attorney’s office following allegations they illegally profited from the sale of fetal tissue.

The settlement requires DaVinci Biosciences and DV Biologics — a sister company — to permanently close its operations in California and pay $7.8 million through donations and biological materials to a medical school, reports the Orange County Register.

The companies are also required to admit liability and to pay $195,000 in civil penalties.

“This settlement seized all profits from DV Biologics and DaVinci Biosciences, which they acquired by viewing body parts as a commodity and illegally selling fetal tissues for valuable consideration,” District Attorney Tony Rackauckas said.

The civil lawsuit accused the companies of profiting from at least 500 sales to research laboratories between 2012 and 2015 and selling the fetal body parts for a profit of more than $1.5 million from 2013 to 2015.

The Register reported in October 2016:

According to the lawsuit, the companies hired sales and marketing staffers and pushed them to meet revenue goals through discount promotions such as “summer sales” and coupons; the products were advertised in catalogs, brochures and other materials.

“It costs us roughly $25 per unit to manufacture, and we are selling from $170,” one employee wrote in an email, according to the lawsuit.

From 2009 to 2015, the companies collected $56,678 in “packing and handling” fees marked up by roughly 50 percent over the actual cost of packaging and handling, according to the suit.

Employees were paid a commission on profits they earned from the packing and handling charges, the lawsuit says.

Some products were allegedly sold to different customers at different prices.

DaVinci Biosciences is owned by three members of the Isaias family – Andres, Luis, and Estefano. Two of them also own DV Biologics.

The lawsuit followed a year of congressional investigation into allegations that Planned Parenthood sold aborted fetal tissue and organs to biomedical companies for profit.

While much of the focus of the allegations brought by pro-life organization Center for Medical Progress (CMP) has been on Planned Parenthood’s relationship with biomedical procurement company StemExpress, lead investigator at CMP David Daleiden noted that Planned Parenthood of Orange & San Bernardino Counties (PPOSBC) is “longtime baby body parts business partners” with “sister companies DaVinci Biosciences and DV Biologics.”

“The DaVinci companies’ admission of guilt for selling baby parts from Planned Parenthood is a ringing vindication of CMP’s citizen journalism methods and accuracy,” said Daleiden in a statement about the settlement:

In light of the news that Planned Parenthood is now under federal investigation by the U.S. Department of Justice for the sale of fetal body parts, the next step is for Planned Parenthood of Orange & San Bernardino Counties to be held accountable under the law for their 7-year-long aiding, abetting, and profiting in DaVinci’s criminal scheme to sell baby parts for profit.

The House Select Investigative Panel on Infant Lives investigated the allegations into the fetal tissue sales of Planned Parenthood and its biomedical partners. In response to the announcement about the filing of the Orange County lawsuit last year, panel chairwoman Rep. Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) said:

Documents produced to the Panel show that, from 2008 through 2015, DaVinci Biosciences obtained its fetal tissue from Planned Parenthood of Orange and San Bernardino Counties (PPOSBC). DaVinci has told the Panel that PPOSBC “donated” the fetal tissue. But DaVinci has also told the Panel that its executives contributed thousands of dollars to PPOSBC starting before the Planned Parenthood affiliate began “donating” fetal tissue to DaVinci. Planned Parenthood has said PPOSBC was its only affiliate that gave fetal tissue directly to a research company.

Blackburn said the panel’s investigation showed the relationship between Planned Parenthood and DaVinci “appears to have created a market for the donation of human fetal tissue.”

Last week, Fox News reported the Department of Justice had formally launched a federal investigation into Planned Parenthood’s fetal tissue practices.

OUTRAGEOUS=> Family of Port Authority Bomber Issues Statement BLASTING Law Enforcement

OUTRAGEOUS=> Family of Port Authority Bomber Issues Statement BLASTING Law Enforcement

On Monday morning, Port Authority bomber Akayed Ullah, a 27-year-old Bangladeshi immigrant, injured multiple people after prematurely detonating a homemade explosive device. Ullah carried out the ‘ISIS-style,’ attack using Velcro-like fasteners and zip ties made from a pipe, say NYPD.

Council on American-Islamic Relations’ legal director, Albert Fox Cahn, issued an outrageous statement on behalf of Ullah’s family.

“We are heartbroken by the violence that was targeted at our city today, and by the allegations being made against a member of our family,” Ullah’s family said.

“But we are also outraged by the behavior of law enforcement officials who have held children as small as 4 years old out in the cold and who held a teenager out of high school classes to interrogate him without a lawyer, without his parents. These are not the sorts of actions that we expect from our justice system, and we have every confidence that our justice system will find the truth behind this attack and that we will, in the end, be able to learn what occurred today. Thank-you for your time,” the family added.

According to NBC News, “Ullah was taken to Bellevue Hospital with wounds and burns after the Monday morning blast, which was captured on security video and spread panic during the morning commute.”

The Ullah family’s statements follower New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio’s bizarre explanation behind the attack.

“Let’s be clear – this was an attempted terrorist attack. Thank God the perpetrator did not achieve his ultimate goals. Our first responders were there quickly and the only injuries we know of right now are minor,” tweeted de Blasio.

“We are a target because we prove a society of many faiths and many backgrounds can work – we show democracy can work. But we are the most resilient place on earth. We’ve proved it time and time again.”

“The NYPD will secure all transit hubs and major sites in this city. You’ll see additional officers out in force. When you see something, say something. Speak up because you could be saving lives,” concluded the Mayor of New York City.
