On Thursday, first lady Melania Trump continued, in a more than 60-year first lady tradition, visiting Children’s National Hospital in Washington, DC.

On her way to the hospital, Mrs. Trump asked for prayers for those struggling with health issues:

The first lady toured the neuroscience center where she visited with patients, families, doctors, nurses, and hospital staff.

Patients Alena Sydnor, 25, and Damian Contreras, 7, guided Mrs. Trump to the hospital’s main atrium where she was joined on a stage by Santa Claus.

Trump took questions from the children, answering that her favorite Christmas song is “Oh, Holy Night.” She answered 10-year-old Andy’s questions, saying that if she could spend her Christmas anywhere, it would be on a deserted tropical island with her family.

Another child asked the first lady what her favorite family Christmas traditions were. She replied that, on Christmas Eve, they have dinner, then they go either to midnight mass on Christmas Eve or mass on Christmas Day. They have another dinner on Christmas Day, Santa Claus visits on that day, and they open presents and spend family time together.

Young Olivia asked the first lady her favorite Christmas dinner food, to which she replied, “healthy food, and you feel very good after.” Sammy asked what the first lady asked Santa Claus for. “Oo, that’s a nice one,” she remarked before stating that she asked for “Peace on the world, health, love, and kindness.”

After taking questions, the first lady read from a favorite book that she called “very special” to her: The Polar Express.

“I was so grateful at the opportunity to spend time with the children and their families today, and want to thank the medical staff at Children’s National for their lifesaving work,” said first lady Melania Trump.

She continued:

The holidays are a time for hope, love, traditions and family, and it is my wish for everyone to be able to celebrate them in good health with their loved ones. Many of the patients and families I visited with today cannot spend the holidays at home this year, so I ask everyone to keep them in their thoughts and prayers as we hope for a speedy recovery and joyous New Year.

Children’s National Health System detailed the 60-plus-year history of first ladies visiting the hospital, “The tradition of First Lady visits to Children’s National dates back more than 60 years to First Lady Bess Truman. Mrs. Trump most recently visited Children’s National to celebrate the opening of the Bunny Mellon Healing Garden, which is dedicated to the First Ladies of the United States.”

First Lady Melania Trump dazzled in a winter wonderland ensemble by Max Mara and Hervé Pierre as she made a pre-Christmas visit Thursday to Children’s National Hospital.

Melania draped a cozy, white wool Max Mara coat over her shoulders for the visit, pairing it with a ribbed, creme-colored Max Mara sweater. Melania chose a crisp, white leather high-waisted form-fitting Hervé Pierre skirt and topped off the outfit with pointed snakeskin stilettos.

The Hervé Pierre skirt is a favorite of Melania’s. She previously donned the same skirt, but in brown, during the pardoning of the Thanksgiving Turkey, Breitbart News reported.

Melania first wore the perfectly-fitted Hervé Pierre leather skirt when she departed for her first foreign trip with President Trump. During her walk towards Air Force One, Melania stunned in the rich, orange skirt, pairing it once again with a ribbed Max Mara sweater.

Hervé Pierre is not only Melania’s personal designer and stylist, but is also in the process of launching a 12-piece collection of luxury cocktail dresses and evening gowns, Breitbart News reported.

During an interview with fashion critic Suzy Menkes, Pierre, who wears a daisy on his lapels, said it was a “big, big honor” dressing and designing for Melania.

Basically, she lied.

Remember the yearbook Beverly Young trotted out when she accused Alabama senatorial candidate Roy Moore of having sexually assaulting her behind a diner when she was 16?

As noted by Legal Insurrection, the yearbook allegedly containing Moore’s signature “immediately raised questions” — many of them, in fact.

Fast forward to Friday morning, when Young appeared in an ABC News interview in which she “acknowledged adding information to the yearbook entry.”

Namely, the date and location:

According to Breitbart, ABC News wound up making light of Nelson’s huge admission, saying, “Nelson admits she did make notes to the inscription. But the message was all Roy Moore.”

The whole rather disgusting spiel by ABC News can be heard below:

“How can anyone believe anything she says after admitting to such a thing?” asked Breitbart’s John Nolte. “Early reports are that Nelson and Allred will produce an expert to prove the rest of the yearbook is not a forgery. So a proven forger is bringing in her own expert. What an insult to the people of Alabama.”

Indeed.

That said, I look forward to hearing what absurd excuses the virulently venomous “Never Trump” types conjure up to explain away Young’s duplicity.

Hint: Ya’ll wouldn’t even be in this position had you not be so quick to reach a judgment against Moore, despite his fervent denials that he ever did anything wrong.

And despite mounting evidence that this whole fiasco has been nothing but a well-orchestrated witch hunt rooted in politics, not facts.

Actress Roseanne Barr slammed Sen. Al Franken (D-MI) during his resignation speech on Thursday, pointing out that the disgraced Democrat was “blaming Trump for his being a pervert.”

“I, of all people, am aware that there is some irony in the fact that I am leaving, while a man who has bragged on tape about his history of sexual assault sits in the Oval Office,” Franken said during his speech on the Senate floor.

In response, the 65-year-old Roseanne star wrote on Twitter that Franken was “blaming Trump for his being a pervert.”

The Minnesota Democrat has been accused by eight separate women of sexual misconduct, primarily in the form of groping and harassment.

Barr, who was the 2012 presidential nominee of the California-based left-wing Peace and Freedom Party, has previously defended President Trump from relentless media attacks, which she claimed were really “disguised” attacks on American voters.

“Every single attack on @POTUS is really a disguised attack on American voters who rejected Obama-Clinton-Bush’s bleeding of R treasury,” Barr tweeted in March.

Barr was also a prominent critic of Hillary Clinton, saying in the run-up to last year’s election that America would be “so lucky” if Trump won “because then it wouldn’t be Hillary.”

In May, it was revealed that Barr’s hit 1990’s television show Roseanne, which revolves around the lives of a working-class family from Illinois, would return for another eight-episode season.

President Donald Trump received one of the greatest honors of his young presidency when a Pearl Harbor survivor and veteran broke out in song about the Japanese attack during presidential remarks at the White House.

According to Fox News Insider, Trump was making his planned statement in front of a handful of veterans on Saturday, the 76th anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor.

“One great battle cry could be heard by American friends and foes alike: ‘Remember Pearl Harbor,’” Trump said during his speech.

He then turned to the veterans and asked, “Have you heard that before a few times?”

That’s when the veteran, who was standing closest to President Trump, started belting “Remember Pearl Harbor” by Sammy Kaye.

“Let’s remember Pearl Harbor as we go to meet the foe. Let’s remember Pearl Harbor, as we did the Alamo. We will always remember how they died for liberty. Let’s remember Pearl Harbor, and go on to victory,” he sang.

The man was identified by the veterans website Task & Purpose as retired Senior Chief Quartermaster Michael “Mickey” Ganitch.

Trump immediately turned to look at Ganitch taking in every moment of the performance.

Trump absolutely loved it: A song of defiance, remembrance of the past, and a vow to be victorious in the future. Is there a better way of defining Trump’s vision of the presidency?

You could truly tell that the veteran was passionate and meant every word he sang.

The president tapped Ganitch’s shoulder and smiled.

“Boy what can I say?” the president laughed following the song. “He’s a very shy person too,” he joked, before carrying on with his planned remarks.

Ganitch was all smiles as Trump acknowledged his song.

Not only did he get to sing for the president, but he also had the opportunity to remind Americans of the sacrifices of those during the attack on Pearl Harbor.

And as Task & Purpose points out, Ganitch, who served on the USS Pennsylvania, has a Pearl Harbor story all his own. As a player on the Pennsylvania’s football team, his plans for that Sunday morning didn’t even include being on the ship.

“With the Pennsylvania crew due to face off against the USS Arizona for the fleet football championship on that fateful morning, Ganitch and his shipmates were decked out in their football gear when the Pennsylvania sounded a general quarters alarm in response to the first air attack by Japan just before 8 a.m.”

He reported for duty in his football uniform, except for the cleats and the helmet.

We will never forget those sacrifices. Thank you to all our service men and women who fight every day to keep the rest of us safe.

The media is predictably all in a snit over the fact that President Donald Trump has decided to acknowledge Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and move the U.S. Embassy there, which is to be expected.

First, they’d probably get themselves in a snit if he suddenly declared the whole country Palestinian territory just because he said it. Second, however, he acknowledged something that nobody in the liberal media wants to — Jerusalem has long been the administrative and cultural capital of Israel, no matter what its enemies want to say.

And in a Thursday appearance on Wolf Blitzer’s CNN Show “The Situation Room” (which doesn’t really even seem like a “room” so much as a brightly lit hyper-artificial studio; talk about fake news), U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley let Blitzer, the liberal media, and everyone else questioning the decision have it.

“This is just a reality check,” Haley said, dropping a hammer on liberal objections to Trump’s announcement. “This is nothing that anybody didn’t already know.”

Blitzer, of course, couldn’t accept that reality.

“But it is significant, Ambassador, that you’re not willing to say that the Old City of Jerusalem or East Jerusalem is part of Israel,” Blitzer said. “You say that’s still open to negotiation. Is that what I’m hearing?”

(The Old City and East Jerusalem, for those unaware, is where Jewish historical sites like the Temple Mount and the Western Wall as well as Muslim historical sites like the al-Aqsa Mosque are located. For Christians, the Church of the Holy Sepulchre within the area marks the site of the Crucifixion.)

“Wolf, why would the United States say that?” Haley said. “When we’re pushing a peace process, that’s really for the Palestinians and the Israelis to decide. If we decided that, we would be picking a side.

“There’s been a lot of time and effort that’s been put in by the administration to talk to both sides to bring them to the table. The last thing we’re going to do is pick what we think should happen, because at the end of the day, Palestinians and Israelis need to live together and live in a situation they settle together.”

Blitzer then gave the Palestinian side of things, which is that by merely recognizing what everyone knew — that Jerusalem is the capital of Israel — Trump had unleashed chaos.

“You say, Ambassador, you want the peace process to move forward,” Blitzer said.

“The Palestinian chief negotiator, Saeb Erekat, says the U.S. can no longer play any role in the peace process … I’m quoting, ‘President Trump just destroyed any policy of a two state solution.’ Your reaction?”

Haley was dismissive.

“Any time we make a decision, we get positive and negative reactions,” she said. “That’s going to happen. At the end of the day, the Palestinians, they need to make sure, ‘we stop violence, we stop any sort of issues’ on both sides, Israelis and the Palestinians.”

“The peace process is not going to stop … they are too far down the road,” Haley said.

This is true. For all of the liberal tears being shed, for all the rocks being thrown in “Arab street,” for all of the Muslim leaders issuing harsh condemnations and vague threats, the fact remains that Trump’s announcement was nothing more than acknowledging reality. Period.

And Nikki Haley made sure that Wolf Blitzer knew that.
