Claire McCaskill Took Action to Hide Travel on Private Plane From Public

Sen. Claire McCaskill (D., Mo.) took action earlier this year to make her family’s private plane untrackable by the public, according to documents obtained from the Federal Aviation Administration.

McCaskill garnered much criticism ahead of her last reelection campaign over her use of a private jet at taxpayer expense that she demanded her husband “sell the damn plane.” But they bought a new, more expensive plane shortly after she won that election. Now, as she gears up for her next election fight, they have taken action to limit scrutiny of the plane’s use.

The company hired by McCaskill to operate the plane, a 2009 Pilatus PC-12/47E, wrote to the FAA earlier this year in April to ask that tracking information on the plane be blocked from the public, according to email records obtained by the Washington Free Beacon through a Freedom of Information Act request.

Prior to 2013, private aircraft owners or operators had to present a “certified security concern” to the FAA if they wanted to block their aircraft data from public display on websites such as FlightAware.com, where McCaskill’s plane could be tracked as recently as this year. However, changes made during the Obama administration removed this requirement and “make the aircraft blocking process as simple as possible.”

Representatives for McCaskill did not respond to multiple inquiries into the reason for the request and whether it had to do with her upcoming election.

The Washington Free Beacon reported in October that McCaskill had spent nearly $21,000 to use her private plane on the campaign trail in just three months. McCaskill was also spotted using her private plane in August for travel between town halls she held in Missouri, which are events held by her official Senate office.

McCaskill also failed to respond to request for comment on those trips.

An FAA representative told the Washington Free Beacon it remains uncommon for plane owners or operators to request flight information be blocked, despite the eased process.

The plane is owned through TLG Aviation LLC, a business entity held by McCaskill and her husband valued at over $1 million on the senator’s personal financial disclosure form for the fiscal year 2016.

The campaign payments were made to Aero Charter, a company based out of a small two-runway airport located near McCaskill’s home in the St. Louis suburbs that offers an aircraft management service for private plane owners.

Aero Charter’s vice president for operations wrote the April email to the FAA requesting that flight data be blocked for McCaskill’s plane.

Aero Charter has told the Washington Free Beacon it was unable to comment on its clients.

Donor records from McCaskill’s campaign previously revealed it brought in a $1,000 contribution from a top Aero Charter executive as the campaign was directing payments to the company for operation of the plane.

McCaskill has already this year been asked questions by reporters about her plane after she said during a town hall that “normal people can afford” to travel by private plane. McCaskill took the comment back during a conversation with the Washington Free Beacon, saying it is “of course not” a normal thing.

Republicans dubbed McCaskill  “Air Claire” and put footage of her boarding her private jet into campaign ads during her previous campaign.

MSNBC host says rural Americans’ voting power is a ‘threat to our democracy’

MSNBC host Joy Reid made waves over the weekend when she tweeted that the voting power of rural Americans was the ‘core threat to our democracy.’

I’m sorry, what did she say?

The exchange began when MSNBC producer Kyle Griffin tweeted a Wall Street Journal piece that claimed that by the year 2040, over 70 percent of Americans will live in the largest 15 states, meaning that 70 percent of Americans will be represented by 30  senators, and 30 percent of Americans will be represented by 70 senators.

Reid responded to this tweet by noting that this disparity was a threat to American democracy:

Does she have a point?

The Wall Street Journal’s analysis says it is based on a prediction by David Birdsell, dean of the school of public and international affairs at Baruch College in New York City. However, Birdsell’s prediction does not appear to have been based on an actual scientific study. Birdsell’s prediction has been frequently quoted online, but it appears to be based on nothing more than a guesstimate from a political science professor, as opposed to any rigorous social analysis.

However, even if it were based on an actual scientific analysis, analyses of population migration trends are fickle. Previous historical predictions about migration to inner cities were foiled when suburban migration began. Then, unexpectedly, predictions about the continuing pace of suburban migration were foiled when Americans began moving back into cities in the last decade.

The truth is that no one can accurately predict the future of population distribution.

But even if Birdsell’s prediction is correct, it isn’t a new phenomenon or something the founders were unaware of. As of the 1790 census, 74 percent of America’s population lived in the seven largest states, which means that America’s population has always been concentrated in larger states, since the time of its founding.

The writers of the Constitution were certainly aware of this fact when the Constitution was drafted. It was the principal reason for the Connecticut Compromise, which is widely credited with having saved the entire Constitution.

In other words. Reid is not objecting to a threat to American constitutional democracy. She’s objecting to a central feature of American constitutional democracy — a central feature that has been present since the founding of the country.

NYC Fire Victim: Counting Your Blessings When You Lose Everything

NYC Fire Victim: Counting Your Blessings When You Lose Everything

We are a society that values and cherishes stuff. Things. Memories. Ask any household in America and I bet they would say they wish they could get rid of some, but the memories they have stored away are so much more important than more space. You don’t really realize how important these things are to you until they are taken from you, sometimes unexpectedly and harshly.

The recent six-alarm fire in New York City in the Hamilton Heights neighborhood did just that to me; I watched from afar as my building, and my things, and my memories from a lifetime of collecting, were burned and washed away.  It is one thing to value the things you have kept; it is another to be forced to reckon with the things you have lost and now have left.

I was devastated when the news came that my home was now uninhabitable. Thankfully I am safe, as are all my roommates and other tenants in the building, but we lost everything. It is a feeling I have never experienced before, a sort of hollowing out of yourself. I was numb, unable to believe that the things I had surrounded myself with, a protective cocoon of memories and love, could be gone forever. My childhood collection of Calvin and Hobbes; a photo of my beloved grandmother, Mimi. Things that I thought I would never lose and would never have to account for not having as a presence in my life.

But, in a bit of surreal timing, it happened right before Thanksgiving. I am home, surrounded by my closest loved ones, nieces and nephews that shower me with love, and am aware of how blessed I am.

The outpouring of support has been overwhelming. One of my best friends started a fundraiser for us and I am, at this very moment, wearing a donated sweater from a network of moms in Brooklyn, organized by a friend, that responded like a critical response unit to this tragedy and as they have done so for other people in times of need.

The Red Cross has been a blessing, present and responsive, pointing us in the direction of housing assistance, providing us with emergency funds for necessities, and assuring us they would see us all the way through the process into a new living situation.

City Council member Mark Levine, representative to District 7, hosted a dinner in order to give everyone a warm meal, aware of how close to the holidays this was and how that would hit home for many particularly hard. The Public Advocate’s office distributed care packages to people from the community.

In a particular instance that deserves praise, a firefighter passing by from Ladder 48 helped us as best he could to get us back into the building, my roommate desperately needing his ID to travel home for Christmas.

In every one of these instances, people have shown that no matter our credo, no matter our ethnicity, they were willing to extend a helping hand, stretch their already scarce resources, to accommodate those in need.

These moments of love and support from people, some I haven’t heard from in years, has been one of the purest examples of love and gratitude I could imagine.

In each of the above examples, and I am sure there are countless more, people have put others before themselves. They have made sure that strangers are comforted in a harrowing time.

The things we have in our lives, the stuff we buy and surround ourselves with can be whisked away in a blink of an eye. This holiday season, be thankful for the special people and connections you have in your life. Be appreciative, every day, of the wonderful blessing that is love and friendship.

President Trump: Democrat Doug Jones ‘Bad for Our 2nd Amendment’

President Trump: Democrat Doug Jones ‘Bad for Our 2nd Amendment’

On November 26 President Donald Trump warned that Democrat Doug Jones would be “bad for our 2nd Amendment.”

Jones is running against Republican Roy Moore for a U.S. Senate seat in Alabama.

Trump tweeted:

On November 21 Breitbart News reported that Jones has been mum on his gun positions, but that has not prevented reporters from learning that he supports more gun control for gun shows. The Washington Post reported Jones saying that expanding background checks to gun shows “would be helpful.”

Jones’ overarching belief is that the Second Amendment has “limitations.” Moreover, he also believes that every natural right protected by the Bill of Rights is limited, and open to government regulation.

The Alabama Political Reporter quoted Jones saying, “We’ve got limitations on all constitutional amendments in one form or another.”

Immigration Encourages Workplace Discrimination Against Americans, Says Report

Immigration Encourages Workplace Discrimination Against Americans, Says Report

Establishment support for legal mass immigration is allowing and concealing large-scale illegal discrimination by U.S. employers against American blue-collar workers, says a new report.

In American Affairs, Pennsylvania professor Amy Wax and D.C.-based researcher Jason Richwine describe many underreported academic studies which show immigration-enabled discrimination;

study after study reveals that employers display a clear and avowed preference for Hispanic and Asian immigrants over lowskill natives of all backgrounds for a host of entry-level jobs across a range of industries in a variety of geographic locations.

Those attitudes were exemplified in a lawsuit filed by the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission against a bakery company in Houston, Texas. According to the Houston Chronicle:

The EEOC settled a … Hispanics-only hiring case last year for $1 million against Lawler Foods, a commercial bakery in Humble. The agency accused the bakery of favoring Hispanic workers and telling black, white and other applicants it would not hire them. The company was able to create a Hispanic-dominated workforce for its production line by relying on Hispanic employees to recruit friends and family, and advertising for Spanish speakers when the company had openings, according to the EEOC lawsuit.

Wax and Richwine say these problems can be addressed if elites recognize the harm caused by their pro-immigration priorities and if sidelined American blue-collar workers also recognize their own shortcomings.

Cutting off the flow of low-skill immigration could force a renewed commitment to getting Americans back to work—a commitment that must include, among other things, aggressive job recruiting and training by employers, reviving the social expectation that prime-age men must work, ending the “college for all” mindset that devalues blue-collar occupations, and strengthening work requirements as a condition of aid …

Why restrict immigration? Replacing American workers with fresh waves of low-skill immigrants is not a viable long-term strategy for our country. Despite some immediate economic benefits for employers, large shareholders, and consumers, albeit with substantial offsetting fiscal costs, mass importation of low-skill workers is both demoralizing and risky in the longer term …

Sustained mass immigration is also in bad faith, because it facilitates a wholesale evasion of hard realities. Too many low-skill Americans are poorly socialized to work and considered undesirable by American employers. The current immigration status quo allows this to be papered over. Changing the status quo will force this situation to be confronted and addressed. Society and workers themselves must face up to native workers’ perceived, and actual, inadequacies, and also to the need to take the low-skill jobs that exist and are available.

White-collar Americans are also suffering discrimination because employers prefer to hire young foreign graduates who will work long hours at low pay in the hope of the valuable prize of citizenship, say advocates. A ComputerWorld report about a 2016 lawsuit by four American plaintiffs said:

David Neumark, a professor of economics at the University of California, Irvine, analyzed Infosys’ U.S. workforce for the plaintiffs and wrote a 76-page report filed this week in federal court in Wisconsin, where the case is being heard …

One plaintiff was hired by Infosys to work on a $49.5 million Affordable Care Act, government-funded development project for the District of Columbia. There were about 100 Infosys employees working on the healthcare project, but only three were American, the lawsuit claimed. The plaintiff alleged harassment, and was denied promotion, the complaint said.

Neumark brought a statistical analysis to the discrimination claim. Specifically, the economist wrote, “from 2009 through 2015, 89.39% of Infosys’ United States workforce was South Asian while only 11.45% of the United States’ Computer Systems Design and Related Services industry was South Asian.”

President Donald Trump’s deputies are taking some steps to deter and penalize anti-American discrimination.

Also, Trump’s popular immigration principles call for the passage of the RAISE Act, which would help American workers by halving the supply of new immigrant workers. The act would end the visa lottery and the “chain migration” laws which allow new immigrants to award green cards to their foreign relatives, regardless of the relatives’ skills, education, ideology, and age.

Polls show that a lopsided majority of Americans oppose cheap-labor immigration which undermines U.S. workers.

Although industry-funded “nation of immigrants” polls pressure Americans to say they welcome migrants, the alternative “fairness” polls show that voters put a much higher priority on helping their families, neighbors, and fellow nationals get decent jobs in a high-tech, high-immigration, low-wage economy. That political power of that fairness priority was made clear in during the GOP primaries and again in November 2016.

Each year, four million Americans turn 18 and begin looking for good jobs in the free market.

But the federal government inflates the supply of new labor by annually accepting 1 million new legal immigrants, by providing almost 2 million work-permits to foreigners, by providing work-visas to roughly 500,000 temporary workers and doing little to block the employment of roughly 8 million illegal immigrants.

The Washington-imposed economic policy of mass-immigration floods the market with foreign labor and spikes profits and Wall Street values by cutting salaries for manual and skilled labor offered by blue-collar and white-collar employees. It also drives up real estate priceswidens wealth-gaps, reduces high-tech investment, increases state and local tax burdens, hurts kids’ schools and college education, pushes Americans away from high-tech careers, and sidelines at least 5 million marginalized Americans and their families, including many who are now struggling with opioid addictions.

GOP Sen Scott: Trump Is Not ‘Singling Out Minorities’ With NFL, LaVar Ball Tweets

GOP Sen Scott: Trump Is Not ‘Singling Out Minorities’ With NFL, LaVar Ball Tweets

Sunday on ABC’s “This Week,” when asked about President Donald Trump Tweeting about the NFL protests and his Twitter back-and-forth with LaVar Ball over his son and two other UCLA basketball players being arrested and released in China, Sen. Tim Scott (R-SC) said Trump was not targeting minorities.

Scott said, “The president is a good counterpuncher. He doesn’t seem to discriminate from my perspective. I think he attacks anyone he perceives or believes is attacking him or the country.”

Host Martha Raddatz asked, “You don’t think he’s singling out minorities?”

Scott responded, “I will tell you, from my perspective, the answer is no. There’s no doubt that if he were singling out minorities in the basketball situation, he singled them out in a positive way. The reality of it is, having the president of the United States step in to help you out when you’re in China, that is a powerful move that likely brought those fellas home without having to miss Thanksgiving with their family. The truth is, there could have been some really negative consequences to those young folks.”

April Ryan, Leftists Beclown Themselves Over Sarah Sanders’ Thanksgiving Pecan Pie

April Ryan, an inexplicably esteemed member of the White House press corps, having tried and failed to promote a “fake news” controversy over White House’s Press Secretary Sarah Sanders’ Thanksgiving pecan pie, has not apologized or acknowledged her error, has rejected Sanders’ face-saving attempt to smooth things over, and is apparently worried that Sanders will publicly poison her and her fellow journalists. You can’t make this stuff up.

Ryan’s history, as documented at NewsBusters, is full of embarrassing statements, unhinged rants, and stunning ignorance of very basic facts.

The pie saga began when Sanders posted a photo Thursday afternoon of the pecan pie she baked for Thanksgiving. Here is her 2:40 p.m. tweet and the top half of the pie:

SarahSandersPecanPieTweet112317

The first tweet claiming Sanders had posted a “#fakepie” appeared two minutes later. “#FakePie” and “#Piegate” briefly trended on Twitter.

Just before noon on Friday, April Ryan tweeted that Sanders needed to “show it (the pie) to us on a table,” and further demanded that she needed to see “folks eating it and a pic of you cooking it.” Apparently sensing some kind of victory, she arrogantly added that she was “getting the biggest laugh out of this”:

AprilRyanShowUsPieOnTable112417

AprilRyanShowUsPieOnTable2on112417

The joke is on April Ryan.

It apparently didn’t occur to her that the pie was not a table decoration, but was instead baked for human consumption. In other words, the “cooking” and the act of grateful meal participants “eating it” took place the previous day.

At 4:10 p.m. on Friday, the New York Daily News posted an item with a false headline claiming that “No one believes that Sarah Huckabee Sanders baked this pie.” The content — “many seem to think that she didn’t cook on Thursday either” — contradicted the headline.

The Piegate-supporting tweets included in the NYDN story included one claiming that Sanders had posted an image which was “stolen from PBS.” Sensing a victory, one Tweeter piled on: “The fact that this is stolen from @PBS, a channel you’d cheerfully defund, just makes this all the sadder.”

This is where Piegate began to unravel.

It turns out that the opening portion of the “PBS” web page location (http://ift.tt/148PuZG) applies to “all tweet images” stored at Twitter. The full URL for Sanders’ pie pic (http://ift.tt/2A96MLu) locates the photo within Twitter. Those berating Sanders for stealing from PBS were obviously hardest hit. (One reporter had the integrity to pull her related tweet and genuinely apologize for her “error” Friday evening. Sadly, she appears to be a rare exception.)

Early Friday evening, the Daily Caller’s Alex Pfeiffer reported that “A reverse image search (an attempt to find an earlier photo posting than Sanders’) did not find any other pictures of the pecan pie that Sanders posted.”

Saturday evening, Kurtis Lee at the ever-opportunistic, Trump-despising Los Angeles Times went so far as to claim that “#piegate is the latest example of the Trump administration’s credibility being called into question.” Despite evidence which by that time had been available for almost 24 hours that Sanders’ photo constituted the first appearance of the pie in question, Lee insisted that “only White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders can answer” whether she baked the pie or not.

Lee missed the fact that Sarah Sanders had answered that question earlier Saturday, telling Fox News’s Todd Starnes, “Of course I made the pie. I make it for every holiday family gathering and have for years.” Starnes also added that “it is considered ill-mannered and uncouth to suggest a Southern woman would sully the sanctity of the Thanksgiving Day table with a store-bought pecan pie.”

Lee’s LA Times writeup also had this laugh line:

many partisans on the left, but also a journalist — wanted to see the pie in a more realistic setting.

The “journalist” to whom Lee referred was Ryan (pictured nearby earlier this year), who is obviously a “partisan on the left.” He should have written, “many partisans on the left, including a journalist.”

Getting back to the risible Ryan, Sanders promised to replicate her Thanksgiving pie-baking effort and bring it to Washington, tweeting: “Don’t worry @AprilDRyan because I’m nice I’ll bake one for you next week.”

Friday evening, instead of accepting the Press Secretary’s gracious offer as a way out of her now-clearly humiliating predicament, Ryan demanded eyewitness observation while getting paranoid and spiteful:

AprilRyanWontEatPecanPie2on112417

AprilRyanWontEatPecanPie112417

It would appear that April Ryan is afraid that Sarah Sanders will poison the White House press corps in front of the whole world.

April Ryan has demonstrated once again that she is a national embarrassment and a disgraceful role model for aspiring journalists. The National Association of Black Journalists, which named Ryan as their “Journalist of the Year” in May, should be but sadly aren’t mortified at Ryan’s bias, her ignorance, her gratuitous insults directed at those she doesn’t like, her reflexive playing of the race card, and her utter lack of professionalism.

Pimp Slapped! Judge Throws the Book and Then Some at Scummy Sex Trafficker

A Colorado man who was convicted on multiple counts of human trafficking, child prostitution and sexual exploitation of a child – including pimping – has been strangled by the long arm of the law.

The 31-year-old scumbag Brock Franklin was the ringleader of a criminal gang who used social media to lure their victims, then abducted and drugged them – selling them as prostitutes to sexual deviates.

It was one of the most diabolical sex trafficking operations in Colorado history and last week, a judge in Arapaho County sentenced Franklin to a whopping 472-years in prison meaning that he could be a free man around Christmas of the year 2489 or so.

Via Denver NBC affiliate 9 News “‘The tough ones are us women:’ Colorado pimp gets 472-year sentence”:

A man convicted of sexually exploiting women as a pimp will spend the rest of his life – and then some – in prison.

In a sentencing hearing Tuesday afternoon, Arapahoe County Judge Peter F. Michaelson sentenced the man found guilty of running a child prostitution ring to 472 years in prison.

That is more than four times the minimum required sentence – and the largest sentence brought down for a human trafficking case in the country.

Brock Franklin was indicted in 2015 by a grand jury for allegedly using drugs and violence to control young girls, often forcing them into lewd acts as part of a child sex trafficking ring.

Four others have already been sentenced for their involvement in the human trafficking ring.

Prosecutors said Franklin preyed on young women and girls who were vulnerable. In his trial, a jury heard from eight of the nine victims in the case.

“Damage isn’t lessened because of where someone came from or where someone did not come from,” an attorney for the Arapahoe County District Attorney’s Office said in court Tuesday.

In a packed courtroom Tuesday afternoon, prosecutors read two letters from Franklin’s victims.

“Every morning I wake up I have to remind myself the defendant will no longer be able to hurt me,” the first letter began.

The victim, identified only as “DY,” wrote to the court about the PTSD, anxiety, and depression she suffers because of Franklin’s actions.

“I began to doubt myself, thinking everything the defendant told me was true,” her letter read. “I am a mother and a soon-to-be wife and I am not all the defendant said I was or to become.”

Then, one of his victims spoke directly to the court – in person.

“I miss myself, my confidence, my laugh. I miss my happiness,” she said, as she described her three “long months” under Franklin, beginning in Jan. 2015.

She discussed her recurrent PTSD, anxiety and depression.

“The tough ones are us women,” she addressed the court. “The prison time [the defendant] will serve does not compare to the damage he has caused to these women or myself,”

“I forgive Brock Franklin, but only because the Good Lord says I must,” she said tearfully to the court.

The victim finished her impact statement by saying, “Today I let this demon go.”

In March of this year, Franklin went on trial for 34 counts including pimping a child, patronizing a child prostitute, kidnapping and assault.

He was found guilty on 30 counts including human trafficking, sexual exploitation of a child, child prostitution, kidnapping, pimping of a child, and racketeering.

He was acquitted of several charges including distributing marijuana and assault with a deadly weapon.

The lead investigator on Franklin’s case also spoke to the court.

The detective with the Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office described the case as “emotional and hard” on everyone who touched it.

Now Mr. Franklin is likely to get a good deal of education in how a pimping operation is run from the other end.

Dem Rep. Kathleen Rice: Ethics Committee’s Accountability ‘Not Real’

Kabuki theater.

Via CNN:

Rep. Kathleen Rice said that the congressional ethics committees being proposed as a way to investigate serial sexual assault offenders on Capitol Hill are “not real” and “not accountable.”

Speaking on CNN’s “New Day” Friday, Rice, a Democrat and former prosecutor, said that the ethics committee will not offer a level of true accountability to offenders.

“Saying that we’re going to have these allegations against politicians go before an ethics committee that can sometimes take a couple of years, no offense to my colleagues who are on the ethics committee, that’s not real. That’s not real. And that’s not accountability,” Rice said.

Rice said that the main pitfall of the committees is it asks colleagues to judge colleagues.

“The way the system works is it is does not benefit — there’s no benefit to a woman who comes out and says, ‘I’m being harassed.’ There are only professional consequences,” said Rice.

SICK! Far Left Activists Tell FCC Chairman’s Children Their Father is Evil and a Murderer

Far Left activists threatened FCC Chairman’s children at their home in the DC area this weekend.

The unhinged far left loons left signs with the children’s names and calling their father an evil murderer.

Net neutrality activists left signs at Federal Communications Commission (FCC) Chairman Ajit Pai’s house Saturday, telling his children that their father was an “evil” man who “murdered” democracy.

The cardboard signs list Pai’s children by name, telling them that “you don’t have to be evil.” Pai’s leadership of the FCC has been fraught with criticism due to his rejection of net neutrality policies advocated by former President Barack Obama’s administration. The FCC announced last week that it plans to role back net neutrality rules, triggering protests outside the Pai family’s home for the second time this year.

Pai argues that it is in the country’s best interest to keep the internet a free and open market, and that means eliminating government regulations.

Democrats and George Soros want the regulations on the internet so they can control the content you see.

And then they have the gall to accuse Ajit Pai of “murdering democracy” and they threaten his kids!
