Ray Lewis Says Ravens Were About To Sign Kaepernick Before His Girlfriend Sent This Racist Tweet

Cop-hating, Castro-loving QB Colin Kaepernick has yet to be signed to an NFL team for the 2017 season after he opted out of his contract with the San Francisco 49ers. The narrative on the Left goes something like this: the NFL is a deeply racist organization actively black-listing Kap.

But that narrative is not being bought by some in the league. Earlier this month, Buffalo Bills LeSean McCoy explained that Kaepernick’s play simply isn’t good enough for a team to sign him considering all the “chaos” he brings; which McCoy said can tear apart a team.

And now former Baltimore Raven linebacker Ray Lewis is blowing a hole in the narrative, too.

According to Lewis, the Ravens were going to sign the controversial quarterback until his girlfriend, radio host Ness Diab, decided to tweet a horrible racist meme of Lewis on August 3; Diab compared the football legend to Samuel L. Jackson’s character in Django Unchained hugging owner Steve Bisciotti, compared to Leonardo Dicaprio’s character in the film.

“We were going to close the deal to sign him,” Lewis said on Tuesday’s Inside the NFL. “Steve Bisciotti said, ‘I want to hear Colin Kaepernick speak to let me know that he wants to play football.'”

“And it never happens because that picture comes up the next day,” added the former NFL star.

“[Kaepernick’s] girl goes out and put out this racist gesture and doesn’t know we are in the back office about to try to get this guy signed,” Lewis explained. “Steve Bisciotti has said it himself: ‘How can you crucify Ray Lewis when Ray Lewis is the one calling for Colin Kaepernick?'”

When asked if Kaepernick would have been signed if Diab hadn’t sent the racist tweet, Lewis replied:

“Then he’s flying him to Baltimore. … I am sitting with all three of them and we are all having a conversation about bringing Colin Kaepernick in.”

In other words, it was Kaepernick’s girlfriend’s racism that lost him a job opportunity, not the “racist” NFL.

Two days before Diab sent out the racist meme, Lewis posted an emotional video on Twitter telling Kaepernick that he respects him and prays for him often.

“I wish you the best in life; I hope you chase whatever God got for you to chase. And once again, I applaud what you stood up for,” said Lewis.

“And if people really wanna help you, if they really wanna help you, man, they’ll pray for you, brother,” he said. “They will lead you the right way and stop encouraging you to be caught up in some of this nonsense.”

Yawn: ABC, NBC Skip Start of Bribery Trial for Democratic Senator

While ABC and NBC on Wednesday continued their silence on the bribery trial of Democratic Senator Bob Menendez, CBS This Morning allowed a scant 22 seconds. This was the first time all year CBS even mentioned the scandal swirling around the New Jersey politician. ABC and NBC haven’t touched the trial, which gets underway today. 

This Morning co-host Gayle King briefly explained, “The New Jersey Democrat is accused of doing political favors for a Florida eye doctor in exchange for campaign donations and very lavish gifts. Both Menendez and the doctor denied the allegations and both have pleaded not guilty.” 

 

 

She added, “Menendez is the first sitting senator to stand trial for bribery in 40 years.” One would think that fact alone would garner some attention, but not on ABC and NBC. And it’s not as though these two morning shows were only focused on hurricanes. 

ABC’s Good Morning America devoted an eye-popping 22 minutes and 39 seconds to promoting the new season of Dancing With the Stars. Think the show’s “journalists” could manage a few seconds on Menendez? 

After all, this has a real impact beyond the alleged corruption of a powerful politician. If the Democrat is convicted and forced to resign in 2017, his successor would be appointed by Republican Governor Chris Christie. This could increase the ability of Republicans to push through Donald Trump’s agenda. 

Over on NBC’s Today, the four-hour-long program devoted 4 minutes and 18 seconds to “fall fashion bargains.” But nothing to Menendez. CBS This Morning deserves credit for touching the story at all, but not too much. It was only 22 seconds. As a comparison, the show allowed 5 minutes and 5 seconds on the Broadway play Hamilton. 

In 2014, when the Bridgegate allegations exploded around another New Jersey politician, Republican Christie, the three networks devoted 88 minutes in less than 48 hours. On December 4, 2014, when a Democrat-led investigation failed to find any evidence conclusively linking Christie to Bridgegate, ABC, CBS and NBC managed just 32 seconds.

Video of Hurricane Irma making landfall in the Caribbean revealed just how powerful the storm is.

The video, uploaded to Youtubeby PTZtv, was reportedly footage from St. Martin’s Maho Beach camera at a AAA Rent-A-Car in the area.

The winds in this hurricane are reaching a devastating 185 mph and the video shows just how powerful that is as trees can be seen bending in the wind.

The National Hurricane Center has warned that the life-threatening storm is capable of catastrophic damage, and it is easy to see why from this video.

Irma is shaping up to be a monster, and everyone in the path of this hurricane should take warnings seriously.

The hurricane passed directly over Barbuda and St. Martin and was the strongest hurricane ever recorded in that region.

As Irma passed over Barbuda, a weather station in the area registered wind gusts to 155 mph before going offline. The rise in water reached nearly 8 feet.

Irma is forecast to weaken to a Category 4 or 5 storm over the next two days, but that doesn’t mean she will be any less dangerous.

Irma is heading toward the Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico, the southeastern Bahamas and Florida, presenting a clear and present danger to the U.S. Virgin Islands and the British Virgin Islands, in particular.

Iram is expected to slam Florida on Saturday with tropical-storm-force winds, with the worst conditions occurring Sunday. It is nearly impossible to pinpoint exactly where Irma will go, but one thing is clear — this is a major storm that has the capability of tearing up everything in its path.

Institutions of higher learning including the University of Missouri and Evergreen State College have faced significant financial repercussions following their decision to tolerate radical calls to curb free speech rights.

A report published by Fox News on September 1 argues that prospective students and parents are growing wary of universities that are bowing to the demands of leftist faculty and students who want to de-platform speakers and label certain ideas as “off-limits.”

Both the University of Missouri and Evergreen State College have faced serious financial repercussions in response to decisions that were made over left-wing protests. These repercussions in include effects on institutional reputation, which affects all students as they go out into the world and seek employment.

The University of Missouri has closed five dormitory buildings following a series of protests that took place in 2015. The university’s residential life director, Frankie Minor, announced in April that three additional dorm buildings would be “taken offline” for Fall 2017 academic year due to a decrease in first-year enrollment. This was announced in an email that informed student employees who work in residential life that they may be transferred to another job on campus due to the lack of enrollment. Most assumed that the drop in enrollment was in response to a serious of protests that took place on the campus in 2015. Most memorably, then-Professor Melissa Click called for some “muscle” to remove a student journalist was documenting the protests with his camera.

More recently, Evergreen State College faced a similar drop in enrollment and a massive $2.1 million budget shortfall following a series of chaotic protests over Professor Bret Weinstein’s email about a planned activism event at the college.

Jacqueline Pfeffer Merrill of the American Council of Trustees and Alumni told Fox News that the way an institution approaches free speech matters greatly to prospective parents and students. “When they look to what college to pick, parents and students are thinking of the largest investment their family is likely to make beyond the purchase of a home,” Pfeffer Merrill said. “Across the political spectrum, one of the most essential assets is [the opportunity] to be exposed to a wide range of views.”

The internet and mainstream media were all aflutter Monday, not in celebration of Labor Day or anything else of national importance, but because it was the birthday of pop superstar Beyoncé, and some of the singer’s most famous friends dressed up like her as tribute.

According to CBS News, even former first lady Michelle Obama joined with the likes of tennis champ Serena Williams, former Destiny’s Child members Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams, and more than a dozen other friends of the singer to don her signature look from the “Formation” music video in portraits that were later posted online.

CNN positively gushed over the photo of Michelle Obama wearing two thick braids and a wide-brimmed black hat pulled low over her eyes, as if this were the greatest sight ever witnessed in the entirety of humanity.

The post proceeded to explain how the former first lady and pop singer have been friends for many years, with Beyoncé performing at both of former President Barack Obama’s inaugurations. The now 36-year-old singer also helped launch Michelle Obama’s “Let’s Move” anti-obesity campaign in 2011.

In the tweet below, Michelle Obama is on the left. Beyonce is on the right.

But as Independent Journal Review pointed out, what the vast majority of mainstream posts on the Beyonce birthday tribute failed to mention was the controversy that came along with the release of the “Formation” song and video that Obama and the other women were emulating.

The fiery song and accompanying video released in early 2016 was a pointed, politically charged piece that featured plenty of anti-police and pro-Black Lives Matter movement imagery.

The singer then performed the cop-hating, controversial piece — accompanied by backup dancers dressed as cop-hating Black Panther Party militants — as part of the halftime performance during the 2016 Super Bowl, spurring numerous protests by police organizations nationwide.

The imagery of a former first lady approving that sent a message to police officers and their supporters loud and clear — that the cop hatred among liberals the final years of the Obama administration isn’t going away.

Obviously, none of that apparently matters to the media, who ignored the controversy and celebrated Michelle Obama’s ode to an anti-cop song.

Though some may see absolutely nothing wrong with Obama dressing as Beyoncé from “Formation,” others have received a message loud and clear from that portrait — one Obama may or may not have been intending to send.

At least she didn’t flip the bird to the camera while posing in the outfit as the singer defiantly did in the video, so there is that, for whatever it is worth.

WATCH: Dem Sen. Dianne Feinstein Admits DACA is on “Shaky Legal Ground”

During an appearance on MSNBC with Chuck Todd Tuesday, Senator Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) was asked if DACA was legal. After a little bit of prodding, Senator Feinstein admitted DACA is on “shaky legal ground.”

Breitbart News reports:

Feinstein answered, “DACA was executive order. Legal is the law of passage of something. I — you know, there are ten attorneys general that are prepared to sue. I don’t want to get into that. The point is, DACA is here. And we’ve got 800,000 young people –.”

Todd then cut in to say, “Your answer indicates, though, that it’s on shaky legal ground.”

Feinstein stated, “It is. That’s why we need to pass a law, and we should do it.”

On Tuesday President Trump announced an end the Obama-era program that grants work permits to illegal immigrants who arrived in this country illegally with their lawbreaking parents or guardians.

After Attorney General Jeff Sessions’ announcement Barack Obama posted a statement on Facebook.
Obama calls DREAMERS “some of our best and brightest young people… who want to contribute to the country we love.”

Obama then plays his race card, something we are all very familiar with after his eight years in the White House.

What makes us American is not a question of what we look like, or where our names come from, or the way we pray. What makes us American is our fidelity to a set of ideals – that all of us are created equal; that all of us deserve the chance to make of our lives what we will; that all of us share an obligation to stand up, speak out, and secure our most cherished values for the next generation.

Anti-Trump Actress Alyssa Milano Gets Slammed For Tasteless National Prayer Day Tweet

There’s a lot of noise about so-called Trump Derangement Syndrome; while this seems like an over-used hyperbolic swipe at lefties, the term is actually fitting for actress Alyssa Milano.

On National Prayer Day, a day designated by President Donald Trump to offer prayer for the victims and the people fighting through the destruction of Hurricane Harvey, anti-hate Milano sought to bash the president, instead of applauding or merely ignoring the nonpartisan move like all the sane people.

The actress captioned the tweet with, “Remember, Sunday is National Asshole Day (by Presidential Proclamation)!”

Classy.

Milano was then hammered by folks across the political spectrum for her moronic tweet.

Ouch.

To be fair to Milano, she’s been going through some hard times. Since November, Pantsuit Queen Hill lost the election, Hollywood favorite Jon Ossoff lost the special election in Georgia, Milano reportedly evaded taxes (which is ironic because liberals love taxes and big government), and President Trump has remained in office despite her temper tantrums.

Life is hard.

Antifa Loses It When “Proud Boys” Make Their Rounds in Harvey Relief Efforts

In the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey, goodhearted Americans have traveled to Texas to aid in recovery efforts, including a “pro-Western fraternal organization” known as the Proud Boys.

The group, which celebrates Western civilization and its contributions to the world instead of apologizing for it, not only assisted in rescue efforts, but members also collected supplies for storm victims and stood in flood-ravaged neighborhoods with firearms to protect damaged homes from looters.

It was the latter of those efforts that attracted the attention of so-called “antifa” leftists who, of course, had a problem with the group walking around with guns, daring to use their Second Amendment rights to protect the community.

After a picture of the Proud Boys holding guns while standing in calf-deep water was posted to social media, liberals came out of the woodwork to criticize them.

One Twitter user mocked the Proud Boys as being in Texas to “wave rifles around” in their efforts to prevent looting.

Actually, I’d be willing to bet that these guys would do a lot more than “wave their rifle around” if some looters tried to steal from a hurricane victim.

Another Twitter user labeled them “fascist paramilitaries.”

In reality, these were men who, without concern for their own well-being, took up arms to protect a community from criminals.

“(W)hen I saw the picture of a group of Houston Proud Boys, it gave me joy. I saw men who were standing up for their communities,” a writer for the Proud Boys website noted.

Nevertheless, because some leftists believe that the Proud Boys are “fascist” and “racist,” they feel compelled to attack their well-intended actions in helping flood victims.

In fact, as pointed out by a Proud Boy, the group is decidedly not racist, fascist, homophobic or any other insult the left has thrown at them. They are just men who believe strongly in Western society.

“We are a fraternal organization like the Elks Lodge,” founder Gavin McInnes wrote for the Proud Boy magazine. “There are NO racial requirements to be in the Proud Boys. We don’t care what your sexual preference is and that includes guys dating trans.”

In addition, McInnes noted, although a majority of the group support President Donald Trump, some of even backed Hillary Clinton in the 2016 presidential election.

Why do radical leftist groups like antifa have such a problem with Americans going out of their way to help others?

Liberals Suddenly Discover That Registering With A Federal Database Is A Bad Thing

The amazing thing about Donald Trump is he helps liberals see how things they once thought were good are suddenly bad. Take for instance federal registries. Liberals thought it would be a great idea to force all gun owners to register their weapons in a federal database and saw no potential for abuse of power. Now that Trump has ended DACA, they worry that hundreds of thousands of illegal aliens who registered are at risk from having their names and address in a federal database. Is president Trump amazing or what?

When he was running the ship (into the ground) Obama decided to legislate from the Oval Office and granted amnesty to nearly a million illegal aliens with his Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program. Because this “law” was created by executive order and bypassed the Congress, who are the ones who make our laws, DACA is completely unconstitutional. President Trump repealed DACA with instructions that Congress should get off their asses and pass meaningful immigration reform.

Under DACA, illegal aliens who were brought to this country by their illegal alien parents were granted temporary relief from deportation. Known as “DREAMers” people who were eligible for this program registered with the federal government and were given, among other things, work permits. Everyone who didn’t give a shit about our immigration laws or the security of American workers (I believe we call them liberals) rejoiced in this illegal action from Obama. Now however, they see a potential downside.

New York Times columnist Nicholas Kristof was one of the first lefties to have that “oh shit” moment:

“Dreamers registered their addresses under DACA, so now the government knows exactly where to go to arrest them and their parents,” wrote Kristof.

Clearly liberals are bummed that people who are breaking the law might actually face justice, but this reaction also exposes some pretty serious hypocrisy. Liberals like Kristof and definitely his employer have for years supported a national gun registry. They wanted every gun owner in the US, except criminals, to register their names, addresses, and firearms with the federal government.

I never heard any liberals complaining that an abusive government could use that national gun registry to track down gun owners and confiscate their weapons. I don’t recall anyone on the left being concerned that a national gun registry could lead to the mass arrests of American gun owners. A gun registry would tell the government exactly where the gun owners live and what types of weapons they have. In the event that democrats were in power, they could use the registry to enact their goal of disarming the country and yet not one liberal uttered a word against it.

Yet now, registries are bad because the government could use them to enforce existing immigration laws. And really, that’s the biggest difference with this. Americans have a Constitutional right to keep and bear arms, while illegal aliens have no right to be in this country.

Ultimately it doesn’t matter how liberals got there, President Trump has shown them how bad federal registries and databases are. Now if only he could get them to understand how destructive illegal immigration, high taxes, and senseless regulations are as well as the fact that all civil rights are important, they could become normal productive members of society.
