Maryland Police Shoot and Kill a 61-Year-Old Man While Trying to Serve a “Red Flag” Order — Officials Say It Is “a Sign” the Law is Needed

Coming soon to a neighborhood near you.

Republican lawmakers led by Sen. Lindsey Graham and his cohorts are discussing new “red flag” laws to take guns from “unstable” individuals.

Last November a 61-year-old Maryland man was shot dead while police were trying to serve him a “red flag” order.

The local officials said it was a sign the law is needed.

The victim’s niece said the victim, Gary J. Willis, liked to speak his mind but was harmless.

Capital Gazette reported:

The Anne Arundel County police chief defended Maryland’s new “red flag” protective law Monday, just hours after a 61-year-old man was shot and killed while officers were trying to serve a court order requiring him to surrender his guns.

Chief Timothy Altomare said the fatal shooting in Ferndale was a sign that the law, which went into effect Oct. 1, is needed. There have been 19 protective orders sought in the county since then, tying Harford County for the most in Maryland, according to a report on the first month. Statewide, about half of the 114 orders sought have been granted.

“If you look at this morning’s outcome, it’s tough for us to say ‘Well, what did we prevent?’ ” he said. “Because we don’t know what we prevented or could’ve prevented. What would’ve happened if we didn’t go there at 5 a.m.?”

Prominent Dem stands up to the mob: ‘Donald Trump is no racist’

Trump-hatred may be good business for some, but the failure of Democrats to accept electoral defeat in 2016 and the escalation of violent imagery and rhetoric, the attempted coup via he Russia hoax, and the escalating violence against Trump supporters is corrosive to the political health of the Republic. There are still a few leaders among the Democrats – far too few – who are willing to stand against the insanity.

Given the smashing economic success of the president (remember James Carville’s slogan,“it’s the economy, stupid”?), Trump-haters have descended to race-baiting, claming that Donald Trump is a racist, white nationalist, white supremacist …  with future insults to be invented once these go stale.

One of the Democrat office-holders who knows Trump, the man, best is Andrew Stein, the longtime Borough President of Manhattan.  Taking to the pages of The Hill, he writes of the overwhelming evidence of Trump’s true attitudes on race. It is who a read, for it relies on facts, not just opinions.

Andrew Stein at the Tribecca Film Festival in 2009 (source)

Donald Trump is no racist. I have known him since 1973 and have never seen any indication or any form of racism. In fact, quite the contrary.

When I was Manhattan Borough president and president of the New York City Council, I asked him numerous times to help black or Hispanic groups, and he always came through, many times without publicity. When a hurricane ravished Puerto Rico in the mid 1980s, I asked many big companies to give various forms of assistance — but the problem was how to get all of this aid down to Puerto Rico. I called Donald Trump, and he provided us with a 727 jet to take all of the donated material down to the island, and he didn’t ask for any publicity for that generous act.

My friend, Rev. Floyd Flake, the minister of the largest black church in Queens, asked for some help for his senior center. Again, I called Donald Trump and he wrote a big check.

One day I met an African American woman on the street with her two adorable young kids. She was homeless, and I gave her some money — and then asked Donald to get her into some low-income housing in Queens. He came through, and did so without any fanfare.

When President Trump recently attacked Congressman Elijah Cummings(D-Md.), he was not doing so because Rep. Cummings is black but because the president is a counter-puncher. And he is right that Cummings has been a congressman for 22 years and that Baltimore, part of which is in his congressional district, is a mess. The city has gotten worse during his tenure: more poverty, more drugs and more crime.

There is much ore. Read the whole thing.

It’s time for the grown-ups among the Democrats to save their party from madness.

Levin: Joe Biden’s ‘Marxist pablum’ on the Constitution is ‘a direct assault on the country’

Wednesday on the radio, LevinTV host Mark Levin gave listeners the history lesson Joe Biden never got on the Constitution’s so-called “three-fifths compromise.”

Biden derided the Constitution on Tuesday for having never lived up to its ideals of equality. Levin played a clip: “American history is not a fairy-tale. The battle for the soul of the nation has been a constant push and pull for 243 years between the American ideal that says we’re all created equal and harsh reality that racism has long torn us apart. The same document that promised to secure the blessings of liberty for ourselves and our posterity also allowed for slavery and the so-called ‘three-fifths compromise’ that discounted the very humanity of black people in America at the time. The honest truth is both elements are part of the American character. At our best, the American ideal wins out. But it’s never a rout, it’s always a fight, and it’s a battle that is never fully finished. Go back to the beginning. Thomas Jefferson wrote what many believe to be the most important civil document in human history. And he was a slaveholder. We’ve never lived up to our American ideals; Jefferson himself didn’t. But what he wrote has pulled us towards justice for more than two centuries and still does.”

Levin called this “the Marxist pablum that you get in every college and university that gives tenure to Marxists.”

“So one of the victims, then, of the slaughter that took place over the weekend is the Constitution,” Levin said. “Because Joe Biden is the leading Democrat for president of the United States on the Democrat side, and he just trashed the Constitution of the United States. If the Constitution of the United States … is a document of white supremacy, then what about the office of the presidency that Joe Biden seeks?”

“This is a direct assault not on the president … but on the country. A direct assault on the country.”

Listen:

“The three-fifths vote, as I’ve talked about before, was a proposal by the North to limit the number of seats apportioned to the South because of slavery. The North didn’t say that African-Americans are three-fifths of a person, as a moral imperative. The North said that for purposes of assigning House seats to the South, that slaves, that African-Americans, will count as three-fifths. In other words, the North proposed that for the purpose of limiting and weakening the representation in the House of Representatives by the slave states.

“Joe Biden is not only an ignoramus, he’s a horrific demagogue. And I’ve heard this 3/5th issue since I was in high school, and it was a lie, and I researched it and I studied it. We know why it was proposed, we know who proposed it, we know why they proposed it, as I said. The Constitution of the United States ends the importation of slaves 20 years after its adoption. Why didn’t it end it immediately? Because there would be no Constitution. Because Georgia and South Carolina threatened to walk out of the Constitutional Convention. There would have been no United States of America, there would have been no subsequent Civil War eliminating slavery and the slave states and territories — none. When Joe Biden says we’ve been struggling with this issue for 243 years, he doesn’t talk about any of the years up to, including, and after the Civil War — not once. Because that would hurt his narrative.

“When you look at America, and when you have a man who has been vice president of the United States and U.S. senator under that Constitution he now denounces, who’s been on the public payroll and has gotten rich as a senator and vice president under the Constitution he now denounces, it is incredible that he has no comprehension whatsoever of American history,” Levin said.

Woman Arrested For Theft. Police Find Meth In Her Vagina. She Says It’s Not Hers.

A young Louisiana woman who was arrested for stealing $5,000 from a man she had been staying with for a week was found with one gram of meth, but allegedly told police that despite where the plastic bag with the meth was found, she was not the owner.
It was found in her vagina.

Why Democrats Own El Paso

Mark Twain once said, “The difference between the almost right word and the right word is really a large matter — ‘tis the difference between the lightning bug and the lightning.”

Donald Trump is a nationalist who supports all things American, and has admitted as much.  What he is not is a white nationalist — a detail that, like a decimal point, seems minor on the surface yet really is the difference between a lightning bug and lightning. Yet Democrats and the hard left continue to play with lightning, incessantly labeling Trump a white nationalist despite knowing how such language could be misperceived by legitimate neo-Nazis and white supremacist groups in America, possibly emboldening them to act.

Although the horrific El Paso shooting is still under investigation, Democrats and the mainstream media have wasted no time using the massacre to further inject the word white into Trump’s pro-American nationalism.

“The President of the United States is condoning white nationalism,” South Bend Mayor and presidential candidate Pete Buttigieg said of the attack.  “White nationalism is one of the evils that is motivating and inspiring at least some people to go kill Americans. The president has a responsibility to nip this in the bud.”

Interestingly, it’s the Democrats that want to keep white nationalism alive in the White House, as Trump has nipped this in the bud, many times.  In August of 2017, when violence started to escalate during a white supremacy rally in Charlottesville, Va., Trump tweeted, “We ALL must be united & condemn all that hate stands for. There is no place for this kind of violence in America. Let’s come together as one!” Later, after a 32-year-old female was hit and killed by a white nationalist’s car that ran into counterprotesters, Trump made the following statement: “We condemn in the strongest most possible terms this egregious display of hatred, bigotry and violence on many sides. On many sides.”

Trump’s short impromptu response – made during televised remarks about a bill signing already underway – suggested it takes two to tango, and failed to specifically condemn white nationalism, although Trump and White House officials insisted this was implied in Trump’s original tweet. But this was not good enough for those Trump haters who so desperately wanted to see America’s highest office stained by white supremacy.  After claiming Trump was himself a white nationalist or at the very least a neo-Nazi apologist, Trump publicly condemned such hate groups and their sympathizers, stating, “Racism is evil and those who cause violence in its name are criminals and thugs, including the KKK, neo-Nazis, white supremacists, and other hate groups.”

A White House official even clarified Trump’s initial remarks. “The President said very strongly in his statement yesterday that he condemns all forms of violence, bigotry, and hatred,” the statement said. “Of course that includes white supremacists, KKK, Neo-Nazi, and all extremist groups. He called for national unity and bringing all Americans together.”

What Democrats should have done at this point was back President Trump, forever putting to rest the ridiculous notion that white supremacist hate groups have an ally in the White House.  Instead they did the opposite.  They rallied together with the mainstream media to create the narrative that Trump was indeed a vicious racist, that yes, the President of the United States was a white supremacist, and that he welcomed — even encouraged – such displays of hatred and intolerance.

Of course Trump did not, and Democrats and the hard left knew it.  Trump is an American nationalist, not a white nationalist, the former being patriotic and putting the interests of America and all its citizens first, the latter being a bigot who uses violence and fear to preach and establish white supremacy.  Because Democrats have no solid platform of their own, they must use a scorched-earth approach, bending over backwards to frame everything Trump says and does as “racist” and thus evidence of him being a “white nationalist.”

“The first order of business to reduce white nationalism is to eliminate white nationalism in our White House,” Washington state Gov. Jay Inslee said after the El Paso shooting. “The sentiments of fear and division, and outright racism, that this president has emboldened out to be sickening to anyone.”  Inslee went on to say that fear and division are “Donald Trump’s stock-in-trade,” and that Trump owed it to the country to heal its historic racial wounds.

Heal, really?  How can Trump or anyone else heal racial wounds when people like Inslee continue to rip these wounds wide open by constantly framing everything in terms of race, and by disingenuously referring to America’s president as a “white nationalist,” whereby providing legitimate hate groups with the misconception that they have a partner in the White House?

Wajahat Ali, a journalist for Al Jazeera America and former consultant for the U.S. State Department under Obama, recently mocked the Republican party and slammed Trump as a white nationalist, too:

“I think the Republican Party is the most diverse party on Earth. When I look at the Republican Party I see every shade of white under the sun, I see white men, old white men, young white men, white men with facial hair, some white men with fades. I even see some white women. What I don’t see are people of color. Why? Because Donald Trump is a racist. He’s a racist president and he’s promoting a white nationalist ideology.”

This isn’t racist?  Mocking the very color of someone’s skin?  Still, what on earth is this “white nationalist ideology” that Trump espouses, anyway?  Trump criticizes the Squad for bad mouthing America, inviting them to go to struggling countries like Somalia — fix them up — and then come back and let us know how it’s done. Yet somehow Trump is a bigot and white nationalist who told the congresswomen to go back where they came from, as if they weren’t welcomed in the U.S. because they weren’t white enough.  Not only was race not mentioned by anyone except Democrats, but the invitation to come back was conveniently dropped.

Trump criticizes Elijah Cummings because Baltimore is overrun with rats and urban blight, bringing attention to an area of America neglected by Cummings and the Democrats for decades, and Trump’s an intolerant bigot. Again, no mention of race anywhere, except from liberals themselves.

Trump calls for a merit-based immigration policy, one that accepts people who have viable skills and the ability to assimilate to American culture and values, and the left insists he’s a white nationalist, favoring white countries over nonwhite ones.  Who bought up skin color?  Not President Trump, but the race-obsessed left.

Ironically, it’s the Democrats who want white nationalism in the White House, not Trump and his conservative supporters.  It’s high time they take responsibility for their dangerous and irresponsible rhetoric, before they embolden more hate groups to act out.

Environmental alarmism behind El Paso shootings

The El Paso shooter is a product of years, if not decades, of environmentalist hysteria. When a person carefully reads his manifesto, it is clear he’s nothing more than a version of the Unabomber Ted Kaczynski, the man who tried singlehandedly to stop technological advances by mailing explosive devices that killed three men and seriously injured several others.

The words from the El Paso shooter himself puts the blame squarely on all that is allegedly doing harm to the environment because of the American way of life:

The American lifestyle affords our citizens an incredible quality of life. However, our lifestyle is destroying the environment of our country. The decimation of the environment is creating a massive burden for future generations. My ideology has not changed for several years. My opinions on automation, immigration, and the rest predate Trump and his campaign for president.

He also states in his online manifesto:

If we can get rid of enough people, then our way of life can become more sustainable.

If the left can blame Sarah Palin for the shooting of Gabby Giffords because Palin once used the term “putting a target on their backs” for political opponents, then why can’t the entire Democratic party and liberal ideology be blamed for so many years of criticizing industrial America for the El Paso shooters’ mass killing? Furthermore, he has exposed a contradiction in left-wing Democratic ideology that is all for open borders and the massive influx of foreigners into the country, yet promotes the idea that people are doing irreparable harm to the environment. This is a blatant discrepancy as wide as the Grand Canyon. How can you square this circle? The simple answer is, you can’t.

Like most ideologues (and liberals) the El Paso shooter is blind to the holes in his thought processes with an inability to see the forest for the trees. Carbon emissions have been steadily declining for decades in the United States while significantly increasing in other countries, especially in China and India, yet they are never excoriated for pollution and harm to the environment as much as the United States. This all ties in to the demonizing and utopian thinking by the left of everything they see as bad in their pursuit and maintenance of political and governmental power.

Over time, the liberal agenda is clearly growing more and more extremist, as manifested by the 2020 Democratic presidential candidates. As their rhetoric grows more shrill with each passing year, it seems logical that people hearing their catastrophic and fatalistic messages would eventually turn to violence.

El Paso shooting: latest atrocity exploited by Democrats

My prayers and heartfelt sympathy goes out to the victims of the El Paso Mall shooting. The gunman posted a manifesto.

One of the issues which angered the gunman is illegal immigration. Democrats and fake news media will jump on this like white on rice. Despicably, they will launch a bogus narrative that the gunman is a typical Trump voter, driven to violence by Trump’s racist rhetoric.

Don’t be fooled, folks. The deranged gunman’s views are all over the ideological map. However, his environmental views are clearly the result of the  progressives dominating public education and fake news media. This quote from the manifesto exposes his insane progressive environmental views.

“I just want to say I love the people of this country. But g** d***, most of y’all are just too stubborn to change your lifestyle. So the next logical step is to decrease the number of people in America using resources. If we can get rid of enough people, then our way of life can become more sustainable.”

Wow, that is scary.

I doubt that you will hear this environmental wacko statement in the manifesto reported on CNN. The same way magicians use misdirection, fake news media will try to focus our attention away from the truth that the gunman was strongly influenced by left-wing environmental indoctrination.

Years ago in a public library, I was shocked to see a stack of brochures which told youths that having a baby was irresponsible and destructive to the planet. God instructed Adam and Eve, “Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth…” Progressives reject God’s intention for everything; foolishly believing they know better than our creator what is best for us.

In his manifesto, the gunman used the word, “sustainable”. Because we have allowed progressives to dominate public education for decades, sustainability is sacred, “holy”, in the minds of many millennials.

Democrats and fake news media view every shooting and catastrophe through a lens of how they can exploit it to kick Trump out of the White House. How can the tragic event be used to further their anti-American, anti-Christian, and socialist/progressive agenda. American suffering and lost lives are acceptable collateral damage to achieve their goal.

No matter how much Democrats and fake news media pretend to care about the victims of the mall shooting, they relish another opportunity to get Trump. They are laser-focused on using the tragedy against Trump in the 2020 presidential election.

Progressives’ hatred for traditional American values, patriotism, and Christianity has risen to remarkable levels since we elected President Trump. Progressives’ believe no price is too high, no tactic is too low if it will remove Trump from office. Most Democrats in Congress and fake news media are void of a biblical point of reference, which makes them extremely callous, cold, calculating and dangerous. Yes, I am saying they are evil. How else can you explain 177 Democrats voting to murder babies even after they are born?

A snake asked a beaver for a ride across the river. The beaver said no because the snake would bite him. The snake vowed it would not harm the beaver. Upon reaching the other side, the snake bit the beaver. “Why did you bite me?”, asked the beaver. The snake replied, “I’m a snake.”

At least 20 innocent Americans lost their lives at the hands of an evil man in the El Paso mall shooting. It is evil and disgusting to exploit the shooting to falsely brand Trump and his voters violent racists. And yet, Democrats and fake news media are unable to stop themselves from doing so. Why? Because Democrats and fake news media are snakes.

Antifa is arming

The incessant hate campaign against President Donald Trump and his supporters by the media and the Democratic Party is pushing the left’s Trump Derangement Syndrome into the danger zone. The current issue of the New Republic, a premier publication of liberalism, has an article titled ”Antifa Is Arming Itself Aganist a Trump Crackdown.”

Left-wing radicals are overwrought about transgressions they imagine the president and his supporters might commit. As a result,

…many leftists and even some liberals are beginning to reconsider their feelings about firearms, joining a loose amalgamation of gun groups, from John Brown Gun Clubs (which take their name from the abolitionist) to the Pink Pistols (a LGBTQ group), Liberal Gun Club, and Socialist Rifle Association.

John Brown Gun Clubs (JBGCs) maybe the most prominent. They exist in many states and operate under the banner of a network called Redneck Revolt, a collection a radical leftists and anarchists.

It is ominous that the JBGCs use the name of the notorious abolitionist John Brown as their namesake. It is worth recalling that John Brown was a domestic terrorist before the word ‘terrorist’ came into popular use. This man was responsible for murders in Kansas, and he led a handful of his followers to seize the federal arsenal at Harpers Ferry (1859) hoping to instigate a rebellion. After killing five people, Brown was captured by U.S. Marines commanded by Colonel Robert E. Lee and Lieutenant J.E.B. Stuart. He was promptly tried, convicted, and then hanged on December 2, 1859

On the morning of his hanging, Brown wrote from his jail cell: “I, John Brown, am now quite certain that the crimes of this guilty land will never be purged away but with blood.”

It is frightening to read those words in the context of the thinking of today’s left and many elements in the Democratic Party. To them, America is bad, its founding was flawed, its growth was exploitive. This is why they dishonor the flag, abandoned saying the Pledge of Allegiance, and drag American history through the mud. It’s a fair question to ask if groups like Antifa and the ‘Squad’ are intent on purging what they perceive as America’s guilt with blood.

Then there’s the Socialist Rifle Association (SRA). This groups’s logo has a striking similarity to that of the defunct U.S.S.R.

If nothing else, the SRA is diverse in its own way. According to the New Republic article, “2,000 of its members identify as LGBTQ, and 8 percent are transgender.”

A certain irony surrounds all these Antifa gun groups. Every one of them purports to be for minorities yet their membership is overwhelming white males. Hmmm.

President Trump is said to be considering labeling Antifa as a terrorist group. He should do so.
