Republican Congressman Deploys to Border With National Guard Unit, Says It’s ‘Awesome’ To Defend Country

The fact that Republican Illinois Rep. Adam Kinzinger is big on border security is no surprise. The fact that part of his reasoning behind it is drug interdiction shouldn’t be, either.

“When drugs come into Arizona, they end up in Illinois,” Kinzinger told Fox News in a report published Saturday. “To protect this country from, frankly, all the drugs that are coming over, is awesome.”

When he’s talking about protecting America from drugs, however, what might be surprising is that he’s not just sitting in the nation’s capital voting for a border wall or spending more money on Customs and Border Protection — not that he’d be averse to any of those things, mind you.

Rather, it’s the fact that Rep. Kinzinger is actively stopping those drugs from coming in — as part of a National Guard unit deployed to the southern border.

Kinzinger is a lieutenant colonel with the Wisconsin Air National Guard, according to Fox News. Since earlier this month, he’s been deployed with his unit in Tucson, Arizona.

“I love to be able to do it,” Kinzinger told Fox.

“As with his previous border missions while elected, the Congressman will stay within the United States,” a statement from Kinzinger’s communications director read.

“The Congressman is humbled to serve his IL-16 community here in the People’s House and equally proud to serve as a reconnaissance pilot in the Air Guard. In both of these roles, Congressman Kinzinger fights to make our national security stronger, our border more secure, and our communities safer.”

Kinzinger is a pilot for the RC-26 surveillance aircraft, which can fly five-hour missions without being detected.

Not only does it help him put his money where his mouth is — both when it comes to national service and border security — it’s also a way to keep himself (pardon the pun) grounded.

“I have some colleagues,” Kinzinger told Fox News about Capitol Hill, “they have let their position get to their head a little bit.”

“When I deploy with these guys, it’s just my old buddies,” he added. “They say basically, ‘Hey, you are a lieutenant colonel here. Nobody special.’”

Well, lieutenant colonel might be”nobody special” to Kinzingers’ comrades in the guard, but it’s still pretty cool.

As for his mission, while the RC-26 may look like a normal commuter airplane (and is based on one — the Fairchild Swearingen SA-227 Metroliner), Fox News notes that “it’s specially equipped to gather information and high-resolution video of any illegal activity they may spot, on the ground.”

That’s important in the mountainous part of Arizona over which Kinzinger pilots, where technology plays an important part in interdiction.

“We have over 200 miles of border out here that’s just almost unmanned. No fencing on it at all,” Lt. Col Kenneth Bruce with the Arizona Air National Guard told Fox. “We have a lot of traffic through there.”

And the illegal traffickers at the border know what they’re doing, Ron Bellavia, the acting deputy chief patrol agent for the Tucson sector, told Fox News.

“They are very difficult to find,” he said. “They are crossing the border in camouflage. They are putting carpet on their shoes, so we cannot track them through the desert.”

It’s an interesting perspective Kinzinger’s time in uniform is giving him, on both border security and national service. Kinzinger told Fox “Congress would be in a better spot” if every member had the same experence to draw from.

Anyway, kudos to again to Kinzinger for doing double duty this way.

It’s a shame we don’t have more men and women in the halls of the Capitol willing to do the same.

Ocasio-Cortez temper tantrum caught on video: ‘I am the boss’

It’s pretty clear that Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez does not like being criticized, much less mocked. Nobody does, of course, but people who go into politics develop thick hides if they follow the customary career trajectory of starting with local office and working the way up to an office with national prominence over a period of years.


Of course, Donald Trump also started his political career even higher up the political ladder, at the top, in fact. And his sensitivity to criticism is one of his weak points. But, he had decades of experience in the media spotlight in New York City, so developed a skin thick enough to handle the media in Gotham, second only to the national progressive media in viciousness.



“Sandy O,” as she was known before winning the Democrats’ nomination for Congress in an ultra-low turnout primary election, had no such training, and in addition has up until now enjoyed the sort of privilege that hot young women live with, rarely being held to account for expressing nonsense, at least by the male half of humanity.


Speaking extemporaneously for almost an hour before a sympathetic group called “Girls Who Code,” about halfway through she unloaded on critics of her Green New Deal. The underlying premise was that we are doomed within 12years, so even if her scheme is impractical, even insane, at least it was something. This gives her the moral high ground and makes her “the boss” somehow.


I am not kidding. Here is the video, cued to the point where she begins to unload.

Talking about how she tried to overcome her insecurities, she said, “I’m at least trying, and they’re not. And so the power is in the person who’s trying, regardless of the success.


“If you’re trying, you’ve got all the power, you’re driving the agenda, you’re doing all this stuff,” Ocasio-Cortez said.


“Like, I just introduced the Green New Deal two weeks ago, and it’s creating all of this conversation. Why? Because no one else has even tried,” she declared, in an apparent snub to Barack Obama’s Paris accord.


“Because no one else has even tried,” she continued.


“Some people are like, ‘Oh, it’s unrealistic, oh, it’s vague, oh, it doesn’t address this minute little thing, and I’m like, you try! You do it! ‘Cause you’re not! ‘Cause you’re not! So, until you do it, I’m the boss!


“How about that?” she declared.


Ocasio-Cortez sat back in her chair and smiled broadly.


“If you don’t like the Green New Deal, then come up with your own ambitious, on-scale proposal to address the global climate crisis,” she ordered her critics.


“Until then, we’re in charge – and you’re just shouting from the cheap seats.”

Nancy Pelosi and the gerontocracy that still runs the Democratic Party see this and make their plans. So do Governor Cuomo and Mayor De Blasio. The 2020 Census will lead to re-districting of New York State’s Congressional districts because the state likely will lose at least one district, since its tax and regulatory burden is driving away residents. Ocasio-Cortez’s district can divided up and apportioned to neighboring districts, leaving her the sole option of running against an incumbent in 2022 in a district most which does not know her.

Five members of the Congressional Black Caucus took a $60,000 trip to see Beyoncé in concert in South Africa late last year.

Beyonce and several other stars performed in concert at the “Global Citizen Mandela 100” concert from Dec. 1-3 according to FOX News.

The lawmakers were U.S. Reps. Gregory Meeks of New York, Barbara Lee of California, Bobby Rush of Illinois, Terri Sewell of Alabama and Hank Johnson of Georgia, according to the data.

They attended the “Global Citizen Mandela 100” concert from Dec. 1-3 to celebrate the centenary birth of the late Nelson Mandela and raise awareness of global poverty. In addition to Beyoncé, other musical acts included her husband Jay Z, Ed Sheeran, Pharrell Williams and Chris Martin.

One-third of the Congressional Black Caucus members have been named in an ethics probe during their career.

Bernie Sanders Admits Socialist Venezuela in ‘Serious Humanitarian Crisis’

Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) has admitted that the socialist country of Venezuela is experiencing a “serious humanitarian crisis” and has called on the Maduro regime to stop using violence against those attempting to bring aid into the country.

Over recent days, leading Florida Democrats have been criticizing Sanders’ more sympathetic stance toward the far-left regime after Sanders had said he did not recognize opposition leader Juan Guaidó as the country’s legitimate president and had refused to label Maduro a “dictator.”

However, Sanders appeared to take a harsher stance against Maduro on Saturday afternoon, when he admitted that the country was experiencing a “serious humanitarian crisis,” and he called on the regime to stop attacking civilians attempting to transfer aid into the country, which the U.S. and other regional contributors had provided.

“The people of Venezuela are enduring a serious humanitarian crisis,” Sanders wrote on Twitter. “The Maduro government must put the needs of its people first, allow humanitarian aid into the country, and refrain from violence against protesters.”

Earlier this week, the 78-year-old socialist told Mexican journalist Jorge Ramos that there should be fresh elections in Venezuela, but said he disagreed with the Trump administration’s efforts to remove the Maduro regime from power and initiate a transition toward democracy:

I think clearly he has been very, very abusive. That is a decision of the Venezuelan people, so I think, Jorge, there’s got to be a free and fair election. But what must not happen is that the United States must not use military force and intervene again as it has done in the past in Latin America, as you recall, whether it was Chile or Brazil or the Dominican Republic or Guatemala.

Sanders’ hardening stance may come as a disappointment to Maduro, who has previously praised the presidential hopeful as a “revolutionary friend” who should have won the 2016 presidential election.

“Bernie Sanders, our revolutionary friend, ought to win in the United States,” Maduro said in 2016. “If the elections in the United States did not depend on an archaic system from 200 years ago, Bernie Sanders would be president.”

‘Remarkable’ Poll Shows Trump Gaining Ground Among the Groups He Supposedly ‘Hates’

After President Donald Trump ended the government shutdown, his support among key groups is on the rise.

A new poll from Zogby Analytics published on Thursday — “remarkable” according to The Washington Examiner — shows that Trump has significant support from suburban women despite the left’s constant screeching about the president’s “sexism.”

Pollster Jonathan Zogby reported that Trump “is doing very well with suburban women (50% approve/50% disapprove), who are vital to his re-election hopes in 2020.”

And that could be because suburban women are some of the biggest proponents of Trump’s border wall, which he plans to build by invoking presidential emergency powers.

“A significant plurality (45%) of suburban women (likely voters) do support the president looking elsewhere to find funding for the border fence, while two in five suburban women do not support this idea,” Zogby reported.

The poll shows that suburban women are significantly more likely to be supporters of the border wall than other groups of likely voters.

“The support of suburban women is well above the number of all women (32% yes/42% no) and all suburban likely voters (37% yes/42% no) who agree with President Trump utilizing funds committed elsewhere to finish 500 miles of border fencing.”

It’s not just suburban women; Trump also gained support from younger voters, Hispanics and weekly Walmart shoppers.

“Another interesting area where President Trump gained ground was with Hispanics (40% approve/57% disapprove) and African Americans (24% approve/70% disapprove). Both groups’ job approval rating of Trump increased the most in months,” Zogby reported.

This new poll completely shatters the narrative that Trump is “sexist” and “racist.”

You might have heard Democrats try to paint Trump as “racist” for attempting to stop illegal immigration, but his support from Hispanic voters has gone up.

In reality, it’s not “racist” or “immoral” to have a border wall. It’s immoral to let anybody walk into the country while others wait for months to immigrate legally.

Hispanic voters with family members who immigrated legally understand that the immigration process shouldn’t be undermined by being permissive toward illegal immigration.

And Trump’s support among suburban women shows that he can’t be as “sexist” as liberals claim either.

In fact, women play a central role in Trump’s administration. Press secretary Sarah Sanders, Secretary of Homeland Security Kirstjen Nielsen, and Trump’s daughter, Ivanka Trump, are just a few of the important women around Trump.

Unlike Democrats, the numbers don’t lie — Trump has significant support from women and Hispanics despite the left’s attempts to falsely paint him as a racist and sexist.

Democrats Called Out for ‘Mockery’ of Ethics Rules After $60,000 Trip to See Beyoncé Revealed

Five Democratic representatives in the Congressional Black Caucus are being called out for their mockery of House ethics rules after it was revealed they went on a $60,000 completely paid-for vacation to South Africa, which included exclusive performances by music artists Beyoncé and Jay-Z.

The nonprofit group, Global Citizen, paid for the representatives’ 3-day trip in December to attend the “Global Citizen Mandela 100” concert, which featured popular artists like Beyoncé, Jay-Z, Ed Sheeran, Pharrell Williams and Coldplay’s Chris Martin, the Washington Examiner reported, citing congressional disclosure records.

The Democrats, who all had VIP passes to the concert, were U.S. Reps. Gregory Meeks of New York, Barbara Lee of California, Bobby Rush of Illinois, Terri Sewell of Alabama and Hank Johnson of Georgia.

And it wasn’t just Democratic politicians who went on the paid-for vacation. Far-left media personalities like “Daily Show” host Trevor Noah and MSNBC host Joy Reid also came along.

The politicians even chummed around with Oprah Winfrey and activist Al Sharpton.

The stated purpose of the event was to raise awareness for global poverty.

But of course, the three-day vacation (one full day in South Africa and two travel days) was more extravagant than that — besides a concert, the group of politicians flew business class, stayed in a fancy hotel and had private security.

Should this be a violation of ethics rules?

The actual total cost for all the food, lodging, airfare and security was $60,272.

A spokesperson for one of the recipients of the vacation defended the trip in a statement to the Examiner by pointing out the money didn’t come from taxpayers.

Sewell’s spokesperson said that “her travel was pre-approved by the House Ethics Committee and was not paid for at taxpayer expense.”

Nevertheless, the House Ethics Committee is supposed to have rules against accepting gifts because it can obviously open politicians for bribes.

But according to Sewell’s spokesperson, the luxury trip and huge concert was “a platform for world leaders to speak out against racial injustice and inequity, and voice their support for international assistance for underprivileged populations.”

The president of the National Legal and Policy Center Government Integrity Project, Tom Anderson, isn’t buying that excuse — it was a vacation, not a humanitarian trip.

“These members of Congress that were given an all-expense paid vacation to party with Oprah, Jay Z, and Beyoncé in South Africa are claiming with a straight face this was needed to help poor children around the world live better lives,” Anderson said.

While the concert did raise a lot of money for impoverished people, that was because of the star power from the performers. Nobody went to the concert to see politicians.

“This was in fact, a mockery of House ethics rules on gifts and travel, the truly poor, and all Americans that expect members of Congress to live not only by the letter of the law but by the spirit and intentions of the rules of the House of Representatives.”

Democrats endlessly talk about the dangers of money in politics, but these five Democrats apparently don’t apply that principle to themselves.

Conservative actor James Woods took Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez to school over another one of her vapid tweets about the Green New Deal.

Ocasio-Cortez fired off a tweet on Friday pushing her radical Green New Deal and scolded others who haven’t been able to come up with a better plan than her radical resolution as mere rubes “shouting from the cheap seats.”

“Until then, we’re in charge,” Ocasio-Cortez tweeted.

Ocasio-Cortez: Yup. If you don’t like the #GreenNewDeal, then come up with your own ambitious, on-scale proposal to address the global climate crisis.

Until then, we’re in charge – and you’re just shouting from the cheap seats.

James Woods dropped in on Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez on Saturday and took her to school.

“So, you may have missed this, but the way it works in America is YOU work for US. The last time somebody told Americans to sit down and shut up was 1776. If you ever learn to read, look it up. You are not only a idiot, you’re an arrogant idiot, and there is nothing more dangerous,” Woods tweeted in response to AOC’s utter arrogance.

Ocasio-Cortez’s Green New Deal proposed the elimination of all airplane travel and would require every building in the US to be “upgraded” to meet the rigors set by the green Communists.

AOC is out of control — she even lectured Americans to eat fewer hamburgers in an interview this week.

James Woods Savages Klobuchar After Reports Surface of Bizarre Interaction with an Aide and a Comb

Actor James Woods had the perfect response to recent reports about Democratic senator and presidential hopeful Amy Klobuchar’s alleged mistreatment of staffers.

“She’s done. Stick a comb, uh, fork in her…,” Woods tweeted Friday about the bizarre “comb” controversy surrounding the Minnesota senator.

Woods’ tweet may seem strange if you’re not yet familiar with the reports about Klobuchar’s mistreatment of staff.

On Friday, The New York Times published a report outlining the alleged “demanding” and “often dehumanizing” treatment of Klobuchar toward her staff.

And, yes, one story did involve a comb.

According to the report, a staffer prepared a salad for Klobuchar to eat during a flight in 2008, but the aide dropped the senator’s fork and was unable to find a new one.

“What happened next was typical: Ms. Klobuchar berated her aide instantly for the slip-up. What happened after that was not: She pulled a comb from her bag and began eating the salad with it, according to four people familiar with the episode,” The Times reported.

Do you think Sen. Klobuchar’s presidential ambitions are done for?

That explains Woods’ “stick a comb, uh, fork” comment, but the story gets worse.

“Then she handed the comb to her staff member with a directive: Clean it.”

Imagine how horrified the aide must have been — watching their boss eat a salad with a comb, only to then have to clean it — and that isn’t even the most damning of the reports against Klobuchar.

A separate report published by Buzzfeed News on Feb. 8 alleged that the senator threw a binder at one of her aides.

Klobuchar has only partially denied the claim, telling Fox News she threw a binder “down.”

“If you look at that story, I think you’ll see it said something about me throwing a binder down — not at somebody,” Klobuchar said.

But the report alleges that abuse from the senator happens “daily.”

“She demeaned and berated her staff almost daily, subjecting them to bouts of explosive rage and regular humiliation within the office, according to interviews and dozens of emails reviewed by BuzzFeed News,” the report states.

Obviously, we should always be dubious of anonymous reports, whether they are about Democrats or Republicans, but these are still horribly bad stories for Klobuchar, who is hoping to become the next president in 2020.

Plus, the fact that the senator has the highest annual staff turnover of any member in the Senate, according to a March 2018 report from Politico, doesn’t look particularly good for her either.

As Woods implied in his humorous tweet, these reports could be enough to put a fork — or comb — in Klobuchar’s presidential ambitions.

The actor’s take on Klobuchar hasn’t been the only spot-on political commentary coming from his Twitter feed lately.

Woods was one of the first people to go after Virginia Gov. Ralph Northam last month after his sick comments about allowing babies to be killed after they’re born.

“Watch your interview, pretend you aren’t a lackey for the #DemocratDeathMachine, and imagine the person speaking about killing a newborn isn’t you,” Woods tweeted. “Just some random savage. Would you want that person within a mile of your children? Shame on you. That savage is you, killer.”

Hillary Clinton, Politico, the liberal media, DC elites and far left organizations are coordinating efforts to silence real people who support Donald Trump and his agenda in the runup of the 2020 election.

The organized left has already decimated conservative voices on Facebook with many of the top 2016 publishers already put out of business. Facebook cut nearly two billion page views to conservative websites in 2018.

This is a bloodbath.  Facebook has wiped out conservative content to American users.

There is also evidence of far left Google officials debating how to bury conservative content.   Google regularly censors conservative content.

Far left Google and Facebook also control 80% of advertising dollars online.
And they openly discriminate against conservative publishers.

Twitter continues to eliminate pro-Trump and conservative users and shadow-ban thousands of conservative accounts.

But this is not enough.

Democrat fascists want COMPLETE ELIMINATION of conservative voices online.

On Wednesday Hillary Clinton called out social media giants to begin banishing conservatives.

Hillary linked to a far left Politico junk report on alleged “foreign actors” who are already working disinformation campaigns against liberal candidates.

The 200 list actually included real users who are being targeted!

This is fascism in action.

The ruse of “we think these are Russian bots” is an attempt by intolerant Democrats to silence pro-Trump voices.

Democrats can’t win on a level playing field – and they know it.

Job Creators Network Fires Back at Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez with Two More Times Square Billboards

The Job Creators Network fired back at Democratic Rep. (D-NY) Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez with two more billboards in the heart of Times Square, this time roasting the left-wing Democrat after she attacked the group on social media.

“Hey AOC, Saw your wack tweet,” the second 7th Avenue billboard says, which is in response to an Ocasio-Cortez tweet that called JCN “wack.”

Last week, Job Creators Network had a giant billboard erected in Times Square which slammed Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez for her role in driving Amazon’s decision to pull out of it announced plan to move it’s new headquarters to New York City.

“25,000 lost NYC jobs, $4 billion in lost wages, $12 billion in lost economic activity for NY — thanks for nothing, AOC!” the first billboard says.

Taking to Twitter, posted a pair of tweeted aimed at JCN.

“Hey AOC, Saw your wack tweet,” the first JCN billboard reads, with another below that says, “Hey AOC, this billboard cost about $4,000. But you cost NY 25,000 jobs and $4,000,000,000 in annual lost wages. Ouch!”

To be clear, Ocasio-Cortez took heat from elected officials in New York on both political parties, including left-wing New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio.

“The Amazon pullout is a perfect example of what we’ve been saying: socialism takes and capitalism creates,” said Alfredo Ortiz, JCN President and CEO. “The economic consequences of Amazon’s pullout is just a small taste of the harm that is to come if Ocasio-Cortez’s anti-business canon comes to fruition and is made federal policy.”

“The billboard—which is located on 42nd Street near 8th Avenue—will be displayed for one week beginning today and is headlined ‘AMAZON PULLOUT, Thanks For Nothing AOC,’” JCN said last week. “The ad goes on to highlight the economic consequences of Ocasio-Cortez’s actions and ends with the hashtag, #SocialismTakesCapitalismCreates.”
