Miley Cyrus Music Video: Mooning Police, Strip Club Full of Priests, Children Shooting At Gun Range

Pop chart-topper Miley Cyrus stars in a bizarre new music video that features her driving past kneeling football players, mooning the police, and driving through a gun range full of children shooting.

In the video for the song “Nothing Breaks Like a Heart” by Mark Ronson featuring Miley Cyrus, the star can be seen in a police chase on the highway.

Protesters, including a group of nuns, can be seen demonstrating in support of her.

There was more blasphemy as Cyrus drives into a strip club full of clergymen, and exits by plowing through a brick wall.

Cyrus also flashes her butt, apparently to the police following her.

She continues her trek, driving through a gun range where children are learning to shoot. One fires at Cyrus’ car and barely misses her. It appeared to be a call-back to her support for gun control.

As the former Disney star continues to drive, she pulls past kneeling football players and also gets her car stuck in the middle of what appears to be shoppers fighting over goods. A clear nod to the NFL players who protest during the National Anthem.

To conclude the video, Cyrus wrecks her car in dramatic fashion, and the video cuts to her standing with her arms spread in front of a car turned on its back side. The top camera shot resembles Cyrus hanging from a cross.

It’s unclear what the message of this video is supposed to be, to say the least. Cyrus’ own political views are strongly progressive. She claimed in 2016 that she would leave the United States if Donald Trump won the election, a promise that she did not follow through on, later saying that leaving the country would be “dumb.”

On election night 2016, the “Wrecking Ball” singer posted a video of herself crying, saying that Hillary Clinton still “deserves to be the first female president” and thanking Clinton for “inspiring all of us.”

NPR Busted Spreading Fake News About Donald Trump Jr.

National Public Radio (NPR) made the false claim Friday that Donald Trump Junior’s Senate testimony about a Trump Tower deal in Moscow conflicted with testimony from Michael Cohen — President Trump’s former attorney who is now working with Special Counsel Robert Mueller.

In a fake news article titled, “Cohen’s Account Of Russia Talks Raises Questions About Trump Jr. 2017 Testimony,” the far-left NPR misled its readers with the news that:

Trump Jr. told the Senate Judiciary Committee in September 2017 that although there had been negotiations surrounding a prospective Trump Tower in Moscow, they concluded without result ‘at the end’ of 2014.

‘But not in 2015 or 2016?’ Trump Jr. was asked.

‘Certainly not ’16,’ he said. ‘There was never a definitive end to it. It just died of deal fatigue.’

Trump’s account contrasts with the new version of events given by Cohen on Thursday in a guilty plea in federal court. In that new version, Cohen says the discussions with at least one Russian government official and others in Moscow continued through June 2016, well into Trump’s presidential campaign.

This would be a significant development because it would mean that Trump Jr. had potentially perjured himself to Congress, which is a felony.

The only problem with NPR’s reporting is that none of it is true.

The Federalist, which first caught NPR’s lie, points out that:

In fact, Senate investigators were asking Trump Jr. about a series of efforts to develop property in Russia, going back several years. Reporter Phil Ewing (reporter Tim Mak contributed to the story) conflates one of those efforts with another separate effort. That conflation results in the false news report.

The “certainly not ’16” remark from Trump Jr. pertains to a Trump Tower deal in Moscow involving another party.

The truth is that when asked a direct question about the Trump Tower in Moscow deal that pertains to Cohen’s testimony, Trump Jr. gave a direct answer that in no way contradicts Cohen’s testimony:

Q: It’s been reported that in late 2015 or 2016 when now President Trump was running for office the Trump Organization was pursuing a plan to develop a massive Trump Tower in Moscow. Is that accurate?

A: Yes.

Trump Jr. also offered to provide investigators with the letter of intent signed by his father.

Only after the false story remained published for most of Friday, did NPR finally issue a weasally correction:

An earlier version of this report mischaracterized an answer Donald Trump Jr. gave to Senate investigators in 2017 about the prospective projects his family was negotiating with people in Moscow.

Trump Jr. did not address what Cohen has now admitted — that talks about such a deal continued at least into June 2016, longer than previously known and well into the presidential campaign.

After NPR issued its grudging correction, Trump Jr. blasted NPR by comparing them to the left-wing CNN, which “has the market cornered” on fake news.

Deplorable: Bill and Hillary Clinton tour stop sells just 3,300 tickets in 19,000-seat arena

The turnout, to borrow an infamous term, was deplorable.
Former President Bill Clinton and former Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton opened the Canadian leg of their speaking tour — "An Evening With The Clintons" — in Toronto on Tuesday. But not a lot of folks showed up.
The Clintons sold about 3,330 tickets at the Scotiabank Arena, which can seat about 19,000, Narcity reported.

In fact, StubHub boasted that last-minute tickets were going for just $4.90 in U.S. dollars, the outlet said. The shindig’s priciest ticket was $434 on Ticketmaster, Narcity added, while VIP meet-and-greet passes were around $2,000 each.
According to the Daily Mail, event organizers blocked off the upper deck of seats in the arena, and there were plenty of tickets available 30 minutes before showtime.
Officials told the Daily Mail that about 1,000 of the purchased seats were on the floor and close to the stage. It appeared from images posted online that a curtain was used to close off a large portion of the rear of the arena.

‘Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer’ called ‘seriously problematic’ for bullying, racism, homophobia

The beloved Christmas movie, "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer," has been called out as "seriously problematic" for its displays of bullying, racism, homophobia — not to mention verbal abuse, sexism, bigotry, lack of acceptance, and even exploitation of workers.
That’s what a video courtesy of the Huffington Post declared Wednesday, even calling the protagonist "Rudolph the Marginalized Reindeer" in its opening montage.
"Viewers are noticing the tale may not be so jolly after all," the video’s text noted, "and they’re sharing their observations online.”

"The holiday TV classic ‘Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer’ is seriously problematic," the text of the Huffington Post tweet reads.
The clip flashed screenshots of a couple of tweets that take issue with the Rudolph storyline, with one calling it a "parable on racism & homophobia w/ Santa as a bigoted exploitative prick" and another accusing "Santa’s operation" of being "an HR nightmare" that’s "in serious need of diversity and inclusion training."

Verbal abuse

“Former fans are pointing out Rudolph’s father verbally abuses him,” the video text indicates, showing a clip of Donner forcing his son Rudolph to wear a fake nose over his red schnoz in order to gain "self-respect."
"You’ll like it and wear it!" he hollers at Rudolph.

Bullying

Everybody knows from the Rudolph song that the other reindeer called him names and laughed at him — but in the movie, even the reindeer coach piles on: “From now on, gang, we won’t let Rudolph join in any reindeer games, right?”

Bigotry

When a doe shows interest in Rudolph despite his red nose, she gets the big ‘ol stop sign from her "bigot" father who says "no doe of mine is going to be seen with a red-nosed reindeer."

Sexism

When Rudolph’s mom wants to join Donner in search for their son who ran away in shame, he refused and said "no, this is man’s work."

Lack of acceptance

Besides the terrible time Rudolph endured from others, the movie features an "outcast" elf who wants to be a dentist — and who gets berated ("you’ll never fit in!") for such a thought. Not to mention all those misfit toys.

Exploitation of workers

“In the end, Rudolph & friends learn the bitter truth…” the video text says before noting yet another tweet screenshot which declares the movie teaches that “deviation from the norm will be punished unless it is exploitable.”

This writer’s perspective

For some reason the video leaves out the other part of the movie where characters come to realize the error of their ways — at least in the lack of acceptance department — and Rudolph emerges as the hero.
Here’s the whole movie:

Landlord Tells Harvard Student to Move Out Over Legally Owned Guns

A Massachusetts landlord told a Harvard University graduate student that he wanted her to move out of her apartment because her legally owned firearms made some of her roommates uncomfortable.

"Since it’s clear that Leyla wants to keep her firearms, it would be best for all parties if she finds another place to live," Dave Lewis, president of Avid Management, said in an email to the household obtained by the Washington Free Beacon.

The request that the student, Leyla Pirnie, move out came after her roommates searched her room while she was not home and found her firearms. That prompted one of the roommates to email Lewis requesting he verify that Pirnie was in compliance with applicable firearms laws.

"We discussed with Leyla that all of us are uncomfortable with having firearms in the house, and that their presence causes anxiety and deprives us of the quiet enjoyment of the premise to which we are entitled," the roommate wrote to Lewis.

Pirnie said she feels her roommates violated her privacy and now they and her landlord are trying to violate her rights.

"A few weeks ago, I came back to my apartment from a weekend trip and was confronted by one of my roommates who asked if I had guns in the house," she told the Free Beacon. "After being told far too many lies to count, my roommates finally admitted that they searched my closet, under my bed, and all of my drawers in pursuit of finding my guns."

While she was given several different explanations for why the roommates entered and searched her room, the 24-year-old said she felt her political beliefs and where she is from played a significant role in the roommates’ actions.

"When I asked them why they were in my room to begin with, they each came up with completely contradicting stories (none of which made any sense), but one comment struck me in particular: ‘We saw that you had a MAGA hat and come on, you’re from Alabama… so we just kind of assumed that you had something,’" she said. "I asked why they didn’t just call me and ask me before intruding. One of the girls responded that fear took over her body and she felt compelled to search my room until she found proof… I cannot make this up."

Pirnie said she had been living in the apartment since September without incident, and she kept her political beliefs to herself before the incident. But she did have a Make America Great Again hat in her room.

In response to the email from Pirnie’s roommate, Lewis contacted Captain James Donovan of the Somerville Police Department to inspect Pirnie’s firearms and ensure they were in compliance with Massachusetts law. Pirnie agreed to allowing the police to inspect her firearms and said she was told she is in compliance with all applicable laws. Lewis acknowledged the department’s conclusion that Pirnie was not breaking any gun laws in his email telling Pirnie to move out.

Captain Donovan told the Free Beacon he could not comment publicly on the matter. Dave Lewis and the roommate who emailed him did not respond to repeated requests for comment.

Pirnie said the roommates confronted her about her firearms and she explained to them she was a legal gun owner who is trained in the safe handling of firearms. She said the roommates weren’t concerned with Pirnie’s handling of the guns but rather that somebody might break in and turn the guns on them or the guns "might go off on their own."

She said her landlord’s concern over some of her roommates being uncomfortable with legally owned firearms is misplaced and his request that she move out is inappropriate.

"What I find uncomfortable is coming home to find out that six people I barely know went into my bedroom without permission and went through every single one of my drawers, without any regard to my privacy whatsoever," Pirnie said. "My landlord’s e-mail, though carefully crafted, showed tremendous prejudice against my right to legally have firearms."

Pirnie said her motivations for owning firearms have been ignored even though she shared them with her roommates. While an undergrad, she said she was in a physically abusive relationship. She said the experience is part of what drives her to be armed.

"Nobody has bothered to question, ‘Well, why do you want to have protection? Could it be because you’ve experienced something where you need to protect yourself as you see fit?’" she said. "I have a real and legitimate reason as to why I want to protect myself."

When Pirnie and her father rejected Lewis’s request that she move out in the middle of studying for finals, Lewis responded by saying his request "was based strictly on practical and not idealogical (sic) terms." He then warned that if the other roommates moved out Pirnie would have to pay their rent.

"If the other roommates were to move out, Leyla would need to find roommates to share the place or foot the entire $6000+ monthly rent herself," Lewis wrote in an email to Pirnie and her father. "Obviously it would be much easier for the others to stay and just fill one room (and I’m confident—were this to happen—that the remaining housemates will release Leyla from any further responsibility under the lease) and that’s why I proposed what I did."

Pirnie feels she’s being punished for being a gun owner.

"I’m still very much so being threatened out of my apartment," she said. "Either I leave and incur moving expenses or my roommates move and I incur their rent expenses… Doesn’t seem right.

"Not only is this a blatant violation of my privacy, but it’s also a violation of my rights."

Blue State Blues: Democrats Stole the Election in California — Legally, Through ‘Ballot Harvesting’

There’s a reason it’s illegal in other states because it’s too easily rife with fraud. And they can come in with the “harvested” ballots until the Friday after the election, so they know exactly how many votes they need to steal the election.

Via Breitbart:

California Democrats “stole” the midterm election using a new method that is illegal elsewhere but completely legal in the Golden State: a practice called “ballot harvesting,” which allows third parties to submit mail-in ballots for voters.

It sounds “bizarre,” as outgoing Speaker of the House Paul Ryan (R-WI) described it to the Washington Post on Thursday — but it is absolutely true: Democratic operatives handed in pile after pile of other people’s ballots.

And Democrats are proud of it, mocking Republicans for failing to take advantage of a new law signed by Governor Jerry Brown in 2016, over GOP objections, that allows “ballot harvesting,” and which some Republicans are now blaming for their defeat.

The practice explains several mysteries about the 2018 election, such as: why mail-in ballots caused massive shifts toward Democrats in races Republicans thought they won on Election Night; why Republicans won the turnout battle in the primary, but lost it in the general election; and why Democrats with party backing defeated fellow Democrats without it — even when the latter had more money.

Women from Migrant Caravan in Tijuana Plan Hunger Strike

A group of women from the Central American migrant caravan are calling for a hunger strike, asking for faster processing by the U.S. and Mexican authorities. The group plans to demonstrate outside the offices of Mexico’s National Immigration Institute in Tijuana.

The protest is expected to have a group of approximately 10 women who will stop eating if their demands are not met, Mexico’s Frontera.Info reported.

The group is asking for U.S. authorities to expedite their asylum claims as well as asking Mexico to provide visas and other documents. They also demand an end to deporting caravan members.

Buzzfeed’s Adolfo Flores said the protest will be held at the Chaparral border crossing. The port of entry is the same where a group of caravan members tried to rush the U.S. border.

Jeff Flake forces Republicans to cancel confirmation of judges over Mueller

Senator Jeff Flake (R-Ariz.) has forced Republicans on the Senate Judiciary Committee to cancel a meeting in the process of confirming dozens of judges. Senator Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) announced the meeting scheduled for Thursday was cancelled and listed the nominees that would be up for confirmation.
Flake can block all judicial nominees from being sent for a confirmation vote on the Senate floor because he is the key vote in the Judiciary Committee, which has 11 Republicans and 10 Democrats. Flake has said that he would refuse to vote for the appointments so long as his bill protecting the investigation of special counsel Robert Mueller was blocked by Republicans. On Wednesday, the bill was defeated by Republicans. Senator Mike Lee (R-Utah) blocked the bill protecting Mueller by arguing that doing so would undermine separation of powers between the three branches of government. "Prosecutorial authority of the United States belongs in the Department of Justice and the Department of Justice answers to the President of the United States. Its principle officers consist of people appointed by the president, serving at the pleasure of the president, after being confirmed by the United States Senate." https://twitter.com/CNNPolitics/status/1067831678561910785
"This is a fundamental component of our liberty," Lee argued. In an interview on CNN Wednesday, Flake said that he didn’t understand why Republicans wouldn’t vote for the bill unless there was a threat of Trump interfering with the investigation. "The president needs to know that the Senate will not stand for him firing Mueller," said Flake. "And the message he’s getting right now is that the Senate and the leadership will protect him."
Here’s Flake discussing his bill on CNN Wednesday:

"I think that that’s the wrong message to send," he concluded.
