The conservative watchdog group Judicial Watch announced Friday it had filed a complaint against lawyers for Brett Kavanaugh accuser Christine Blasey Ford, arguing that they hadn’t kept their client properly informed about her options for testifying.

The complaint was filed “to the Board of Professional Responsibility of the District of Columbia Court of Appeals of Debra S. Katz, Lisa J. Banks, and Michael R. Bromwich for violating the rules of professional responsibility in their representation of Dr. Christine Blasey Ford before the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee during the hearings on the nomination of the Honorable Brett Kavanaugh,” the group announced in a news release.

“According to the Judicial Watch complaint, by not informing their client Dr. Ford that Sen. Chuck Grassley, Chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee offered in a letter to ‘fly female staff investigators to meet Dr. Ford … in California, or anywhere else, to obtain (her) testimony,’ Katz, Banks, and Bromwich violated” two rules of conduct.

The rules in question state that “(a) lawyer shall keep a client reasonably informed about the status of a matter and promptly comply with reasonable requests for information” and that “(a) lawyer shall explain a matter to the extent reasonably necessary to permit the client to make informed decisions regarding the representation.”

The complaint notes that the day after Ford’s identity was revealed, “Ms. Katz went on several television shows asking that the (Senate Judiciary) Committee hold a public hearing so that Dr. Ford could offer her testimony.”

“Sen. Chuck Grassley, Chairman of the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee, honored that request. In a letter sent on September 19, 2018, he informed Ms. Katz and Ms. Banks that the Committee was scheduling a hearing on Judge Kavanaugh’s nomination for September 24, 2018, in order to ‘give Dr. Ford an opportunity to tell her story to the Senate and, if she chooses, to the American people,’” the complaint said.

“He informed Ms. Katz and Ms. Banks that the hearing could be public or private, and that Dr. Ford could also choose to have a public or private staff interview with Committee staff, either by phone or in-person.

“‘To that end,’ Chairman Grassley continued, ‘Committee staff has attempted to contact you directly by phone and e-mail several times to schedule a call at a time convenient for you and your client. We thus far have not heard back from you with regard to that request.’

“He reiterated that ‘my staff would still welcome the opportunity to speak with Dr. Ford at a time and place convenient to her.’”

In her testimony, however, Ford said she would have preferred to give her testimony in California.

When questioned about her fear of flying, she told the committee, “I was hoping that they would come to me, but then I realized that was an unrealistic request.”

Later, prosecutor Rachel Mitchell asked Ford, “Was it communicated to you by your counsel or someone else, that the committee had asked to interview you and that — that they offered to come out to California to do so?”

After a bit of kerfuffle over whether or not this represented a privileged conversation between Ford and her lawyers, the accuser seemed to indicate that the offer wasn’t explained in detail to her.

“I just appreciate that you did offer that. I wasn’t clear on what the offer was,” Ford said. “If you were going to come out to see me, I would have happily hosted you and had you — had been happy to speak with you out there. I just did not — it wasn’t clear to me that that was the case.”

This wasn’t a terribly complicated offer; the Senate Judiciary Committee would have interviewed her in California. How difficult was this for a gaggle of people who have done postgraduate work in law to elucidate to their client?

It’s pretty obvious that either Ford or her lawyers are lying about this. At least in this case, I believe Ford. She surrounded herself with Democratic operatives who realized it was to the advantage of the left to have this testimony aired in the open. If they didn’t make this clear to their client, however, they violated their professional obligations — and they need to face the consequences for it.

In the statement, Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton said this wouldn’t be the end of their Kavanaugh-related inquiries, either.

“We are concerned that ethics rules were violated by Dr. Ford’s attorneys during the Kavanaugh confirmation and took action to get accountability,” Fitton said.

“We already filed a Senate ethics complaint against Sen. Cory Booker over his admitted rule breaking and are considering additional steps to address the misconduct committed by Justice Kavanaugh’s opponents.”

A small group of angry diners confronted Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell at a restaurant Friday night, but were met with calls from other customers to leave the Kentucky Republican alone.

Video obtained by TMZ shows at least one diner berating McConnell on issues such as Social Security at a restaurant in Louisville. The video starts with him yelling at McConnell and arguing with Transportation Secretary Elaine Chao — to whom McConnell is married. The outlet reported that four men first confronted McConnell.

“Oh yeh, why don’t you get out of here? Why don’t you leave our entire country,” the protester tells the couple.

As Chao argues with the protester, McConnell appears nonplussed and sips on a drink. But other diners begin yelling at the protester, telling him to “leave him alone” and making shoo-ing gestures.

“They’re going to come for Social Security,” he told the other diners, before appearing to be approached by staff.

The dominant cartel, Sinaloa, is equipped with U.S.-based groups that protect drug houses and lead illegal drug distribution throughout the country. These groups are armed, and utilize the southern border as a means for trafficking enormous amounts of narcotics into America, seemingly with ease, traveling through U.S. Ports of Entry.

The Sinaloa Cartel is the major supplier of heroin and opioids in the U.S. market, according to the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA).

Robert Arce, Breitbart Border And Cartel Chronicles Team reporter, has worked for both federal and local law enforcement, and spent three years in Mexico dealing with the international narcotics trade. “Whether it’s human smuggling, or drug trafficking, you don’t cross through those routes unless you are paying to those cartels,” said Arce, “if you’re a smuggler and you’re not paying, and you get caught, the sentence will be death. They will kill you.”

“More than 72,000 people died last year from overdoses,” Carter told Breitbart News, “and those numbers are expected to increase as narco-terrorists like the Sinaloa Cartel, and nation’s like China, continue to traffic Fentanyl and other drugs into our nation.”

With an unsecured border in the south, nowhere in the U.S. seems to be safe. The plague of narcotics and drug overdoses stemming from distribution by these foreign cartels is not isolated to border communities; it has spread, decimating communities across the nation.

In Ohio, the documentary highlights Heidi Riggs, an opioid addiction activist who lost her 20-year-old daughter to a drug overdose.

“This is domestic terrorism and we need to demand that our leaders in Washington declare the Mexican Drug Cartels enemies of the state,” Riggs told Breitbart News, “The Mexican Drug cartels have weaponized drug use and they are killing Americans. This is why we call it terrorism in the film.”

Riggs is likely correct. By declaring the Mexican drug cartels terrorist organizations, the Mexican government is faced with two options: it either cooperates with the U.S. in fighting the cartels, or the U.S. will have to do it alone. Other efforts to stop the cartels have proven futile.

Derek Maltz, a former Special Agent in Charge (SAC) of the DOJ, DEA, and Special Operations Division (SOD), also told Breitbart News that the Department of Defense must take this step in securing the US southern border.

“Law enforcement alone can’t resolve this unprecedented problem which has escalated out of control by greedy cartels,” said Maltz, “The Mexican cartels are killing at record levels, dumping humans in acid, and chopping off limbs while they push poison all over the streets of America.”

“It’s time we designate them exactly what they are, foreign terrorists. By calling them what they are, the U.S. can utilize the powerful laws and incredible resources to destroy their operations. Enough is enough and the U.S. needs to seal the border and keep the criminals out.”

As stated in the documentary, most of the heroin coming into the country is produced in Mexico, and it is the Mexican drug cartels that control the production and distribution of these drugs. The DEA also considers the Mexican drug cartels the greatest threat to the United States.

Attorney General Jeff Sessions held a press conference recently, announcing a “whole of government effort” to take down the Cartel Jalisco Nueva Generacion (CJNG). “We will continue to carry out President Donald Trump’s order to dismantle transnational criminal organizations,” said Sessions, “They are in our crosshairs.”

The White House stated last year that the opioid crisis causes America to endure a death toll equivalent to the September 11th terrorist attack every three weeks, as tens of thousands of Americans die every year due to drug overdose.

It is evident that the United States needs to take a more serious, hardline approach on its southern front, for the sovereignty of the nation is at stake.

An unsecured U.S. border not only aids illegal immigration and human trafficking, but it is this very same negligence that is in part responsible for the unprecedented number of overdose deaths of Americans across the nation.

The giant group of migrants was crossing the Puente Rodolfo Robles bridge connecting Guatemala and Mexico over the Suchiate River, which acts as a natural border.

The migrant caravan, numbering in the thousands, started in Honduras last Saturday, and it has hit a critical point at the Guatemalan-Mexican border.

Although Mexico prepared for the mass of traveling migrants, four Mexican police officers were injured trying to control the chaos.

Speaking to the media in Mexico City, U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo expressed his sympathy for the injured officers.

“They’ve had four policemen injured already, as they have reported it. We understand that to be accurate. We don’t know the severity of those injuries, but I want to express my sympathy to those four policemen,” Pompeo said.

Pompeo also spoke about how the migrants are using women and children to make their way through.

“This is a group, a large group of people; they are putting women and children in front of the caravan to use as shields as they make their way through,” he said.

The secretary of state said the U.S. is prepared to support Mexico’s decisions to deal with the migrants.

“This is an organized effort to come through and violate the sovereignty of Mexico, and so we’re prepared to do all that we can to support the decisions that Mexico makes about how they’re going to address this very serious and important issue to their country,” he said.

President Donald Trump has warned that If the mass of migrants reaches the U.S. border, they will be arrested and sent away.

“Anybody entering the United States illegally will be arrested and detained, prior to being sent back to their country!” Trump tweeted Tuesday.

A “Republican” group that opposes President Donald Trump known as Republican Women for Progress is being completely funded by one male Democrat billionaire.

The organization, in its mission statement, claims to support Republican women.

“We believe that Republican women deserve to speak up, not stand aside. That we need to connect better, smarter. That being engaged in American politics is mission critical,” the group’s website claims.

However, the website also claims the group was formed from an earlier group, Republican Women for Hillary, which in turn was created to support Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton in 2016.

Someone should inform these women that Clinton is not a Republican woman.

Members of Republican Women for Progress explained to Glamour how they felt when Clinton lost.

“On election night we felt a range of emotions: It went from disbelief to sadness to anger to a sense of urgency. It was rough,” the women said.

That’s strange. Republicans were celebrating that night (I mean, aside from Bill Kristol).

Considering the “Republican” group’s strikingly un-Republican history, it’s not a surprise to find out who is paying their bills.

The PAC’s October quarterly filing revealed that Republican Women for Progress is funded by Reid Hoffman, billionaire co-founder of LinkedIn and frequent donor to Democrats. Hoffman gave the group a generous $400,000.

Previous filings show Hoffman’s support for hard-line Democrats like Sen. Cory Booker, Sen. Sherrod Brown and Sen. Bob Casey, to name just a few.

Did Hoffman simply turn a new leaf and decide to support Republicans?

Of course not. The Republican Women for Progress is just another generic anti-Trump organization.

The women’s group responded Friday after the Washington Free Beacon published a story about the donor.

“In terms of the Reid Hoffman donation, even a male tech billionaire and major Democratic donor recognizes the important role women should play in the Republican party. Or perhaps Hoffman realizes that the group is anti-Trump and his contribution could help destabilize the GOP. It’s either the case that they’re aware of his agenda or they are unwittingly being used as tools by a Democrat billionaire.

This “Republican” group is little more than another underhanded Democratic Party front.

Democratic Socialist Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez said on Friday at a campaign event that the United States’ blueprint for beating global warming needs to be the same as the blueprint the U.S. used for defeating Nazi Germany in the 1940s.

“So we talk about existential threats, the last time we had a really major existential threat to this country was around World War II,” Ocasio-Cortez said. “And so we’ve been here before and we have a blueprint of doing this before.”

“None of these things are new ideas,” Ocasio-Cortez continued. “What we had was an existential threat in the context of a war. We had a direct existential threat with another nation, this time it was Nazi Germany, and axis, who explicitly made the United States as an enemy, as an enemy.”

“And what we did was that we chose to mobilize our entire economy and industrialized our entire economy and we put hundreds of thousands if not millions of people to work in defending our shores and defending this country,” she stated. “We have to do the same thing in order to get us to 100% renewable energy, and that’s just the truth of it.”

“It may seem like really big, it may seem really ambitious, it may seem really ‘radical’ as us [inaudible] like to say,” the congressional candidate continued. “But the fact of the matter is we are dealing with a radical truth and a radical reality, and the more we choose to ignore it the worse we are doing by our children, and our grandchildren, and frankly ourselves.”

As a woman it’s pretty difficult to look at the #BelieveWomen movement and not want to lend a certain amount of support to it. But this movement, like so many others that are hijacked by the left, is really just another load of liberal garbage.

It has done little more than open the door for histrionics and manufactured abuse claims by (mainly) women who want to help further an agenda orchestrated for the purposes of upending a conservative culture.

And sometimes someone comes along who has an uncanny knack for pointing out the obvious with very little effort. That person in the instance of the #BelieveWomen movement is James Woods.

Since his reinstatement to Twitter, Woods has been on fire with just such commentary about the leftist litter cluttering up our culture. On Friday, he excoriated the #BelieveWomen movement with the best example of why it’s nonsense:
