Sen. Candidate Sending Unsuspecting Hurricane Donors to Dem Fundraising Site

If you’ve ever looked at the tragic aftermath of a natural disaster and wondered “how can this benefit me?” then you’re in good company with Democratic politicians.

Bill Nelson, a Democratic senator from Florida who’s campaigning for reelection, is trying to pass off collecting personal information for the left as a relief effort for Hurricane Michael.

He posted a link on Twitter earlier this week, calling it a way to donate money to help with the devastation from the hurricane.

But what he didn’t mention in the tweet is that the link leads to a fundraising site for Democrats.

“The devastation from #HurricaneMichael is widespread across the Panhandle and Big Bend in Florida,” he tweeted on Wednesday. “Anything you can give to these nonprofit organizations will help people with needed relief.”

Instead of the link he added going straight to “nonprofit organizations,” it goes to ActBlue, a crowdfunding tool for Democrats which only serves leftist candidates and causes.

The site states that it is “a nonprofit, building fundraising technology for the left” that provides “the infrastructure for campaigns and organizations to fundraise online.”

ActBlue says that it powers “Democratic candidates, committees, parties, organizations, and c4s around the country,” and boasts that “Democratic campaigns get more donations through ActBlue than any other platform.”

Do you think Nelson’s tactics are disgusting?

“That’s why a majority of Democratic Senate and House campaigns — along with the DCCC, DSCC, DGA, over one-third of statewide campaigns, and advocacy organizations around the country — have chosen ActBlue,” the site reads.

Nelson’s intentions for promoting hurricane relief donations are unfortunately not totally pure.

Rather, he seems to have jumped on the devastating storm as a free way to mine donors’ valuable personal information and get them on email lists.

Otherwise, why not direct people straight to the relevant charities and relief organizations themselves? Why have donations — and donors’ personal information — filtered through a partisan crowdfunding site?

ActBlue itself has become the anti-Trump weapon of choice for many Democrats recently, with contributions made through the site spiking during Trump’s time in politics.

More than half of all donors gave for the first time in 2017, a year in which the site raised over $522 million for Democratic candidates and causes.

This was up from the already substantial $207 million it raised in 2015.

But if Democrats like Nelson are using it to profit from tragedies and cut campaign costs, it’s no wonder it’s getting so much traffic.

CBS Local has more on the Democrat criminal ring.

The Star Telegram reported:

Members of an organized voter fraud ring have been arrested and indicted on charges they targeted and, in one case stole, the votes of elderly voters on the city’s north side.

Four people were arrested — Leticia Sanchez, Leticia Sanchez Tepichin, Maria Solis and Laura Parra — after being indicted on 30 felony counts of voter fraud, according to a statement from the Texas Attorney General’s Office.

These people allegedly were paid to target older voters on the north side “in a scheme to generate a large number of mail ballots and then harvest those ballots for specific candidates in 2016,” the statement read.

“Ballots by mail are intended to make it easier for Texas seniors to vote,” Republican Attorney General Ken Paxton said in a statement. “My office is committed to ensuring that paid vote harvesters who fraudulently generate mail ballots, stealing votes from seniors, are held accountable for their despicable actions and for the damage they inflict on the electoral process.”

Looter in Panama City, Florida Taken Out By A Good Guy With A Gun

Via KUTV:

Looting led to a deadly shooting overnight in Panama City, Florida.

Witness Landon Swett said a man tried to steal a police car.

“He yelled at me a little bit. He said, oh I’m looting and he opened the door to the police officer’s SUV with the lights going, got in it and shut the door,” said Swett.

That’s when Swett took his family to safety. Moments later, shots were fired.

“As I’m crossing the doorway, I look back, saw the officer at the passenger side. I don’t believe the door was open yet. Then I got about three more feet inside, and I heard the shot,” says Swett.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a Florida State Fire Marshall was involved in the shooting. Looting is rampant in other areas. Residents said broken doors and shattered windows are all that’s left of many businesses as looters are on the prowl.

Police: 11 Dead Babies Found Inside Closed Funeral Home’s Ceiling

Michigan officials uncovered the remains of 11 dead babies inside a closed Detroit funeral home’s ceiling, police said Friday.

Authorities say officials with the state’s Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs made the gruesome discovery Friday evening when they unearthed 9 out of 11 tiny bodies in a cardboard box and a small casket hidden inside the first-floor ceiling of the shuttered Cantrell Funeral Home on Detroit’s east side.

Officials discovered the tiny corpses after receiving a tip in the form of an anonymous letter alerting them to the location of the bodies.

Detroit Police Department’s Lt. Brian Bowser said authorities are working with the state medical examiner’s office to identify family members and notify relatives.

A spokesperson for the Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs called the uncovered remains “decomposing bodies.”

“We will use the evidence gathered today to add to our open investigation and will continue to work with local law enforcement as this case proceeds,” said spokesperson Jason Moon.

The state shuttered the former funeral home in April for its sordid conditions, including moldy and decomposing bodies. The former mortuary is reportedly being redeveloped into a community center.

Dozens of Witches Gather to Place Public Hex on Brett Kavanaugh

A large group of witches is meeting in Brooklyn this month to place a curse on Judge Brett Kavanaugh “and upon all rapists and the patriarchy which emboldens, rewards and protects them.”

“We will be embracing witchcraft’s true roots as the magik of the poor, the downtrodden and disenfranchised,” states a website advertising the October 20 event, “as often the only weapon, the only means of exacting justice available to those of us who have been wronged by men just like him.”

Approximately 1,000 people have said they will attend the sold-out event, which will also be live-streamed on social media. A quarter of the proceeds will be donated to abortion giant Planned Parenthood, organizers stated.

Brett Kavanaugh was sworn in as Justice of the Supreme Court last week after being accused of having attempted to sexually assault a schoolmate while in high school 36 years ago. The FBI conducted an investigation into the allegations, but its report revealed “no hint” of sexual misconduct.

Dakota Bracciale, a “queer, non-binary witch” living in Brooklyn, who is spearheading the event, told the Huff Post that witches use hexes as a radical act of resistance against oppressors.

“Witchcraft has been used throughout history as a tool and ally for people on the fringes of society who will not ever really get justice through the powers that be,” Ms. Bracciale said. “So they have to exact their own justice.”

Bracciale claimed that Brett Kavanaugh’s confirmation was proof that survivors of sexual assault often do not get justice by going through the courts, but witchcraft can offer the means of “exacting justice that would otherwise be denied to you.”

Hexes are “not something you do lightly,” Bracciale said, “but it is something you have in your arsenal or toolbox.”

Bracciale distinguished a hex from a “binding” spell, which prevents someone from doing something and limits his ability to act. A hex, she said, is a more direct attack that engages its target in a supernatural fistfight.

In February 2017, a group of witches sought to use black magic to subjugate U.S. President Donald Trump by casting a “binding spell” to prevent him from carrying out his campaign promises.

The “mass spell to bind Donald Trump” was performed at midnight on February 24, and the group pledged to repeat the spell on every waning crescent moon “until Donald Trump is removed from office.”

Casting the spell entailed a lengthy incantation, calling on spirits and “demons of the infernal realms” to bind Trump so that “he may fail utterly, that he may do no harm.”

The witches gathering in Brooklyn this month will use photos and effigies of Kavanaugh, along with graveyard dirt and coffin nails to perform their curse. The ritual will take place at an occult bookstore and spiritual community space called Catland.

“Even if you don’t believe in the magic of it, you’re given the space and the affirmation, having your voice heard, feeling a sense of fellowship and camaraderie,” Ms. Bracciale said. “We’re putting out the message that you’re not alone, we’re not leaving you alone with the monsters.”

Hilarious: Andrea Mitchell asks historian to debunk a Trump claim and gets an unpleasant surprise

An odd form of hubris has overtaken Democrats in both their political and media branches. They are so certain that President Trump is ignorant and they are smart that they march right into traps of their own devising. Consider this face plant by Andrea Mitchell, dead certain that President Trump must be incorrect in has claim about Abraham Lincoln: that event the Gettysburg Address was criticized by Lincoln’s  contemporaries.:

The president has been saying that Abraham Lincoln was criticized for the Gettysburg Address at his rallies in defending his own ability to — for history to prove that he will surmount the criticism. Was he criticized?” [crosstalk]

BESCHLOSS: “Yes, he was criticized for to Gettysburg Address by newspapers that hated Lincoln and wanted to support his opponent the next year when he ran for reelection. Not too unusual, but there were huge numbers of newspapers who understood Lincoln and even at that moment knew that Gettysburg Address would be a great document in American history.”

Red tide rising, blue wave receding

Evidence is accumulating that Democrats have seriously overplayed their hands in their treatment of Justice Brett Kavanaugh and their calls for violence. This is the result of the dangerous combination of two factors:

1.    Trump Derangement Syndrome has blinded them to the possibility of a significant number of people disagreeing with them.

2.    They lack any feedback mechanisms to warn them of the reactions they are provoking, because their allies  the mainstream media share their TDS. Moreover, they regard Fox News and the conservative blogosphere as heretics, and disregard any feedback from them as unworthy of attention.

In fairness, this situation is quite similar to what prevailed prior to the 2016 election that resulted in massive failure of the polls to predict Trump’s victory.

Rasmussen, which did better than anyone else in the polling business in 2016, has captured a key result of the Dems’ disgraceful conduct:

Republicans are madder about the Kavanaugh controversy than Democrats are and more determined to vote in the upcoming elections because of it.

A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds that 54% of all Likely U.S. Voters say they are more likely to vote in the upcoming midterm elections because of the controversy surrounding President Trump’s U.S. Supreme Court nominee. Only nine percent (9%) say they are less likely to vote. Thirty-four percent (34%) say the controversy will have no impact on their vote. (To see survey question wording, click here.)

Sixty-two percent (62%) of Republicans are more likely to vote because of the Kavanaugh controversy, compared to 54% of Democrats and 46% of voters not affiliated with either major political party.

Sixty-two percent (62%) of all voters are angry about the U.S. Senate’s treatment of Kavanaugh, with 42% who are Very Angry. Fifty-six percent (56%) are angry about how the Senate treated Christine Blasey Ford, the woman who accused Kavanaugh of sexual assault, including 35% who are Very Angry.

Sixty-four percent (64%) of Republicans are Very Angry about the Senate’s treatment of Kavanaugh, a view shared by 30% of Democrats and 34% of unaffiliated voters. By comparison, fewer Democrats (48%) are Very Angry about the Senate’s treatment of Ford; 28% of GOP voters and 30% of unaffiliateds agree.

Democrats’ five-point lead on the weekly Rasmussen Reports Generic Congressional Ballot has vanished. The two parties are now tied with less than a month until Election Day. We’ll be watching to see if this is the beginning of a post-Kavanaugh trend.

Conrad Black identifies a separate but related reason why polling models may be misleading us:

…almost the entire lower 30% of income-earners now have prospects of employment, rising purchasing power in their pay envelopes, and a greater sense of belonging in the political system since the era of President Clinton, if not President Reagan, or for the more venerable, President Roosevelt.

Now, no one is left behind, and there remains circumstantial evidence that most of the polling organizations still haven’t adjusted their echelon of the voting public to reflect the army of this president’s supporters among those who had rarely voted since the Reagan years because they didn’t identify with any presidential candidate.

The entire “one third of a nation . . . at the bottom of the economic pyramid” identified by Franklin D. Roosevelt, parched in austerity and deprivation, is being irrigated with livable wages and real employment. Both the material and psychological consequences will be seen at the voting places next month.

Finally, people are getting used to President Trump. He is the president after all, and no sane person now imagines that he can be successfully impeached or can even claim that he is incompetent, no matter how unorthodox his methods, grating some of his foibles, and uncongenial many find some of his policy positions.

If the Democrats once again wake up the day after votes are tabulated and find themselves shocked, it will push many of them even furhter over the edge of the cliff into insanity.
