House Freedom Caucus co-founder Jim Jordan (R-OH) told Breitbart News Daily on Friday that Republicans succeed when they hold their promises, “We’re best when we do what we said.”

Breitbart News Daily host and Breitbart News Editor-in-Chief Alex Marlow opened the interview, contending that Republicans often do not succeed when they move to the middle to appease the media.

Congressman Jordan agreed with Marlow, saying, “We’re best when we do what we said.”

Jordan continued, listing off several of the ways that President Donald Trump has kept his word with the American people.

Congressman Jordan said, “That’s what the president said in a year and a half in office that he’s had in office, it’s been amazing, regulations reduced, taxes cut, economy growing at 4.1 percent, unemployment at its lowest in 20 years. Gorsuch on the court, Kavanaugh on the deck, we’re out of the crazy Iran deal, the embassy has been moved to Jerusalem, and the hostages have been returned from North Korea.”

The Ohio conservative admitted the president has fulfilled his promise to the American people, although, Jordan said that Congress needs to carry out President Trump’s legislative agenda.

Jordan said, “When you look at that list, frankly, the taxes are good, and we played a part, Congress did, and I do not want to downplay that, but where’s the border security wall? Where’s repealing Obamacare, where’s reforming welfare and requiring people to work, where are all of the other things that we told Americans we would do? It’s really just that basic … it’s really about doing what we were elected to do.”

Congressman Jordan announced last week that he intends to run for Speaker of the House after the 2018 midterm elections. House Freedom Caucus Mark Meadows (R-NC) backed Jordan for Speaker, saying, he “is a fighter, a leader, and a true conservative.” Other prominent conservatives have also backed Jordan for the leader of the House of Representatives.

“Sean Hannity, Mark Levin, and Lou Dobbs, and almost every conservative group in the country are supporting us; I’ve been shocked and pleased by the support we’ve received just a week ahead of announcing that we’re planning to run,” Jordan said.

Jordan then explained his plan to both fund President Trump’s proposed border in the fall spending bill as well as establish work requirements for welfare programs such as food stamps.

Jordan told Marlow, “Here’s what we should do and I don’t think the [GOP] leadership is going to do. When we get back, we can send the House and the Senate a bill that funds the government and says that if you’re an able-bodied person and if you’re getting American people’s tax dollars you have to do something to get that money. That should be in the bill, along with a simple thing, here’s the money for the wall, start building the wall. Put those two things in it and then send it to the Senate and then for a month. And this is always what Republicans are afraid to do, for a month debate, we have a guy in the White House that’s pretty good at taking a message to the American people. He wants this wall, and he also wants people who are able-bodied [to work], I’ve been touring my district the last week, and every single employer I talk to says that they’re finding it difficult to find employees, to find people to work. That’s because we have too many people who do not work, who are on welfare, who are able-bodied and could be working. It’s not only good for the economy, it’s good for our employers, it’s also good for those people stuck on the welfare system. So do those two things and have the debate. Instead, what we always do is forfeit before we even kick the ball and play the game.”

The House Freedom Caucus leader added, “Say it plainly, tell it to the voters, you form a contract when you do that, and they elect you and go do what you said.”

“We make the job of being in Congress too difficult of a job — way too complicated,” Jordan said.

Congressman Jordan then warned that if Democrats gain a majority in the House, they will only seek to impeach the president.

Jordan cautioned, “The Democrats will raise our taxes, abolish ICE, grow government, no welfare reform, and impeach the president, and socialized medicine.”

Congressman Jordan said, “My focus over the next three months is: let’s do everything we can to keep the majority and if we do, and I get the privilege to be Speaker, we are going to do everything that we said we were going to do and have a real debate, not just forfeiting before we start the game.”

House Freedom Caucus co-founder Jim Jordan (R-OH) told Breitbart News Daily in an exclusive interview on Friday that social media giants “cannot say they’re an open platform” and then restrict free speech.

Breitbart News Daily host Alex Marlow asked Jordan about the rampant censorship on social media, particularly on Twitter. Breitbart News reported that Twitter was engaging in shadow banning, a method by which Twitter can limit the reach of a Twitter account, including stopping a user’s followers from seeing tweets from their account. This practice has reportedly disproportionately affected conservatives on the platform.

House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) told Breitbart News in an exclusive statement on Thursday that he has called on Twitter to testify before the House Energy and Commerce Committee.

“It is impossible to ignore the fact that only one party is being slammed by this censorship, over and over again,” said McCarthy. “When only one side is doing the talking, you don’t call it a dialogue. You call it a lecture,” McCarthy said.

Marlow asked Jordan what he thought of Twitter’s censorship on Friday.

Congressman Jordan noted that he along with House Freedom Caucus Chairman Mark Meadows (R-NC), and Reps. Matt Gaetz (R-FL), and Devin Nunes (R-CA) were shadowbanned. Jordan emphasized that he, along with the three other conservatives, has led the charge to hold the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and Department of Justice (DOJ) accountable for their actions during the Hillary Clinton email investigation.

“535 members between the House and the Senate and four, four, were shadow banned, Mark Meadows, Matt Gaetz, Devin Nunes, and Jim Jordan and Twitter just says it’s just a glitch in our algorithm,” Jordan said. “What did you put in the algorithm? Meadows, Gaetz, Nunes, and Jordan? How does it happen to be the four conservative individuals who happen to be leading the charge against the crazy things that have been going on at the FBI and the DOJ?”

The Ohio Republican continued, suggesting that he along with Rep. Meadows plan to hold a hearing on social media censorship when Congress comes back from the August recess.

Rep. Jordan said, “Mark and I are planning a hearing for the first day we come back in our two subcommittees, that we get the privilege of chairing on oversight, we’re going to figure out what the heck is going on here and ask Twitter some nice questions.”

Marlow then asked Jordan whether the government needs to regulate Twitter, Facebook, and Google to “rein in the tech giants.”

Congressman Jordan said, “They cannot say that they’re an open platform and then restrict certain kinds of speech. If you are an open platform, you’re an open platform, if not then you’re a newspaper, and you’re subject to different rules and regulations and different guidelines … you have to pick which one you are.”

“You want the benefits of being an open platform at the same time you want to restrict speech and it just so happens to be, it seems, to be speech coming from a conservative perspective,” Jordan continued. “That’s certainly what happened last week when had four conservative members, four Republicans, who have been focused on keeping the FBI and DOJ accountable for the ridiculous things they did, those are the ones who are targeted.”

Other politicians and tech experts have called for regulation of social media companies regarding their censorship practices.

House Communications and Technology Subcommittee Chairwoman Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) also told Breitbart News in an exclusive interview in June that social media companies need regulation regarding their privacy practices and censorship of conservatives and alternative voices on the Internet.

Former Federal Communications Commission (FCC) Wireless Bureau Chief Fred Campbell told Breitbart News in April that Congress should repeal the Communication’s Decency Act Section 230 “Safe Harbor provision.” Campbell said that Safe Harbor, a provision in the Communications and Decency Act of 1996, allows for Google, Facebook, and Twitter, to censor at will.

Campbell explained, “Here’s the real problem with Section 230: it empowers these Internet platforms to censor content while removing any accountability for their publications. The Constitution has always protected an individual’s right to defend themselves against libel or slander.”

“Section 230 overrides the common law and says that these Internet platforms can censor all they want and won’t be accountable for anything — for libel or any other falsehoods,” Campbell added.

Congressman Jordan added, “If they are going to continue to do this, we are going to do a different approach to this sort of organization.”

Anti-white racism is endemic among liberals.  For liberals, it is permissible to show disdain for white people in a way that would be totally, totally unacceptable to show for blacks, Hispanics, or people of other “colors” of the liberal rainbow.

This is clearer than ever now that we have been exposed to the ravings of The New York Times’ latest hire, editorial writer Sarah Jeong.  Jeong, who is Asian (a word I despise for its P.C. vagueness), has a long history of making racist comments about white people on Twitter.  When confronted with the fact of this, the Times doubled down, releasing a statement saying it knew about Jeong’s comments but was okay with them because Jeong was just using “satire” to bait people who were making racist comments against her.

Can you imagine the Times excusing such naked racism as “satire” if directed against any other ethnic group?  I think not.  I think Jeong was hired not in spite her racist rants, but rather because of them.  Because I think Jeong says exactly what liberals feel.

Let’s look at some of her tweets:

1. “Dumba– f—— white people marking up the internet with their opinions like dogs p—— on fire hydrants”

Liberals tell us all the time that the opinions of white people do not matter, only the sensitivities of “victim classes.”

2. “oh man it’s kind of sick how much joy I get from being cruel to old white men.”

We are constantly told how old the white population is, and the media gleefully count off the years, days, and minutes until the time they are no longer in the majority.  When whites become a minority in a particular school or workplace or town, it is a cause for media celebration.

3. “I dare you to go on Wikipedia and play ‘Things white people can definitely take credit for’ it’s really hard.”

The media constantly report “the first black to do X” and “the first Hispanic to do Y” but never talk about race when a white person accomplishes anything (unless it is a woman), in line with their policy of promoting accomplishments only of non-white males.

4. “White people have stopped breeding. You’ll all go extinct soon.”

See #2 above.

5. “I was equating Trump with Hitler before it was cool.”

The liberal media do this all the time, trying to delegitimize not merely Trump, but the millions who voted for him as racist and extreme.

6. “I open my mouth to politely greet a Republican, but nothing but an unending cascade of vomit flows from my face.”

Liberals encourage violence like this all the time.  What consequences has Maxine Waters faced for encouraging people to harass Sarah Sanders?  None.  How many Berkeley rioters have faced punishment for violent acts against conservative speakers?  None.

Liberals hate white people, even if they themselves are white (the self-loathing makes them feel virtuous, in a twisted way).  But as they issue forth their propaganda, they want to maintain the charade of impartiality.  Sarah Jeong has done us all a great service for once again exposing the liberal media as the base, vile, anti-white racists they truly are.

This is something the hucksters at the Southern Poverty Law Center are really going to “hate.”

The Alabama-based group is best known for branding conservative, Christian organizations as “hate groups,” simply for working toward goals that are exactly the opposite of the liberal left. And in doing so has collected obscene amounts of money from gullible (or cynical) liberal donors.

But an announcement this week by Attorney General Jeff Sessions could be putting the SPLC in the cross hairs of legal action. And it’s not the kind of place it’s used to being.

Speaking at the Justice Department’s Religious Liberty Summit on Monday, Sessions announced DOJ is forming a new religious liberty task force aimed at protecting the freedom of religion Americans that are guaranteed by the First Amendment to the Constitution.

“A dangerous movement, undetected by many, is now challenging and eroding our great tradition of religious freedom,” Sessions said, according to a Justice Department transcript of the remarks. “There can be no doubt. This is no little matter. It must be confronted and defeated…

“We have gotten to the point where courts have held that morality cannot be a basis for law; where ministers are fearful to affirm, as they understand it, holy writ from the pulpit; and where one group can actively target religious groups by labeling them a ‘hate group’ on the basis of their sincerely held religious beliefs.”

And while he didn’t name any names specifically, it wasn’t hard to guess one particular group Sessions had in mind as presenting a direct threat to what Sessions called a “core American principle.”

Many organizations on the left and in the mainstream media toss around the term “hate group” to brand anyone they disagree with. But the SPLC’s use of the word – and its unchallenged acceptance by major corporations and media organizations – is in a class by itself.

It was the SPLC’s branding of the Family Research Council as a “hate group” that led directly to a 2012 attack on the FRC’s Washington headquarters that was foiled by an unarmed security guard who wrestled the gunman to the ground. According to the Washington Examiner, the attacker specifically cited the SPLC in explaining his motive to the FBI.

It was the SPLC that designated the religious legal group Alliance for Defending Freedom as a “hate group” that led to the ADF being removed from a fundraising program operated by Amazon.

And it was the SPLC that produced its own “hate map” of monuments to, and places named for, Confederate figures – including schools. It doesn’t take a genius to see a move like that could put huge numbers of children in danger, simply because the liberals at the SPLC don’t like the name of their school.

Despite the years of mounting evidence that the SPLC has long since abandoned its primary mission as a civil rights organization, it continues as a liberal fundraising behemoth, capitalizing obscenely on racial strife in the United States.

In the aftermath of the Charlottesville riot in June 2017, it received $1 million donations from Hollywood actor George Clooney and his wife, Amal, as well as Apple, according to a commentary piece in The New York Times by Ayaan Hirsi Ali, the anti-Islamist former Dutch lawmaker.

This spring, according to the Washington Examiner, the SPLC had roughly half-a-billion dollars in its war chest, thanks to the donations it receives from people who either think it really is a civil rights organization, or from groups and organizations that have a vested interest in helping the SPLC attack conservative groups – the ones it brands “hate groups.”

So, no, Sessions didn’t specifically cite the SPLC in his remarks about the new task force to defend religious liberty, but he didn’t have to. It was SPLC-style bigotry he clearly had in mind. And those who have been attacked by the SPLC knew who he was talking about.

“My guess is that Sessions is setting the FBI or some outlet of the Justice Department to take an objective look at this whole concept of hate labeling, its impact, its origins, and its legitimacy,” retired Lt. Gen. Jerry Boykin, executive vice president of the Family Research Council, told PJ Media.

“The SPLC has targeted religious groups particularly — not exclusively, but particularly Christian groups and Christian individuals — that’s why we at FRC were targeted.”

Boykin also noted a relationship between the SPLC and the FBI that started in the Obama era, according to a Fox News report by Tucker Carlson.

“When you’ve got an organization in the United States that is illegitimately targeting groups because of their Christian views and you have agencies in the federal government that are legitimizing that data, that is a recipe for disaster,” Boykin told PJ Media.

“Attorney General Jeff Sessions has got to get to the bottom of that problem.”

With Monday’s announcement of the task force for religious liberty, Sessions might have started to do just that.

And the SPLC might really have something to “hate.”
