The New York Times published an op-ed by Michelle Goldberg Monday night that supports the public abuse Republicans and Trump administration officials have been subjected to this past week. Goldberg’s op-ed is titled, “We Have a Crisis of Democracy, Not Manners“.

A sample of liberal violence against conservatives in recent years: A Republican Congressman shot, a Trump supporter attacked, a limo set ablaze at Trump’s inauguration.
The central premise is incorrect as the U.S. is a republic, not a democracy. Democracy is straight majority rule–mob rule, as has been witnessed this past week in mob actions against woman GOP government officials Sarah Huckabee, Pam Bondi and Kirstjen Nielsen.
Goldberg’s article is intellectually dishonest as it falsely paints liberals as peaceful, unarmed saints, who have reached the limit of their saintliness, confronting evil Republicans.
Goldberg opens talking about white racist Richard Spencer, whom the media has elevated from a nobody to use as a cudgel against the Trump administration. Curiously though, Goldberg writes about Spencer being kicked out of a membership gym rather than the infamous “punch a Nazi” attack on him last year seen in a viral video cheered by liberals. As many conservatives who loathe Spencer and his racism warned, liberals call all conservatives Nazis and were therefore justifying attacks on conservatives.
Sure enough a few months after liberals proclaimed “punch a Nazi” was acceptable, a Democrat tried to mass assassinate a group of Republican Congressman and Senators, grievously wounding Rep. Steve Scalise (R-LA) and several others.
That mass assassination attempt by a Democrat on Republicans just last year goes unmentioned in Goldberg’s article, even as Goldberg rightly calls out the murder of abortion providers.
Goldberg does not mention riotous attacks on Trump supporters by liberals at President Trump’s inauguration last year.
Also not mentioned by Goldberg are the many violent attacks by liberals on Trump supporters attending Trump campaign rallies in 2016.
Goldberg chastises Trump for his intemperate comments encouraging violence against protesters repeatedly disrupting his rallies, but does not put them in the context that he was reacting to the continuous incivility of liberals at his rallies and their violent attacks on his supporters.
Unmentioned by Goldberg is that a protester attempted to assassinate candidate Trump at a rally by trying to grab a gun off a law enforcement officer to shoot Trump. At another rally a deranged protester charged the stage as Trump was speaking, jumping over a barricade and reaching the edge of the stage before being stopped.
Nor does Goldberg talk about Antifa, the violent organized wing of liberalism that riots and attacks conservatives in public. Goldberg falsely states that liberals have not protested Trump and conservatives while carrying “assault weapons” when that has occurred many times in states that allow open carry.

And:

Liberals are cheering Goldberg’s column because of passages like these:
It’s a little more complicated when the professional racist is the president of the United States. The norms of our political life require a degree of bipartisan forbearance. But treating members of Donald Trump’s administration as ordinary public officials rather than pariahs does more to normalize bigotry than exercising alongside a white separatist.
…Whether or not you think public shaming should be happening, it’s important to understand why it’s happening. It’s less a result of a breakdown in civility than a breakdown of democracy. Though it’s tiresome to repeat it, Donald Trump eked out his minority victory with help from a hostile foreign power. He has ruled exclusively for his vengeful supporters, who love the way he terrifies, outrages and humiliates their fellow citizens. Trump installed the right-wing Neil Gorsuch in the Supreme Court seat that Republicans stole from Barack Obama. Gorsuch, in turn, has been the fifth vote in decisions on voter roll purges and, on Monday, racial gerrymandering that will further entrench minority rule.
All over the country, Republican members of Congress have consistently refused to so much as meet with many of the scared, furious citizens they ostensibly represent. A great many of these citizens are working tirelessly to take at least one house of Congress in the midterms — which will require substantially more than 50 percent of total votes, given structural Republican advantages — so that the country’s anti-Trump majority will have some voice in the federal government.
But unless and until that happens, millions and millions of Americans watch helplessly as the president cages children, dehumanizes immigrants, spurns other democracies, guts health care protections, uses his office to enrich himself and turns public life into a deranged phantasmagoria with his incontinent flood of lies. The civility police might point out that many conservatives hated Obama just as much, but that only demonstrates the limits of content-neutral analysis. The right’s revulsion against a black president targeted by birther conspiracy theories is not the same as the left’s revulsion against a racist president who spread birther conspiracy theories.
…Faced with the unceasing cruelty and degradation of the Trump presidency, liberals have not taken to marching around in public with assault weapons and threatening civil war.
…Instead, some progressive celebrities have said some bad words, and some people have treated administration officials with the sort of public opprobrium due members of any other white nationalist organization. Liberals are using their cultural power against the right because it’s the only power they have left, and people have a desperate need to say, and to hear others say, that what is happening in this country is intolerable.
Sometimes, their strategies may be poorly conceived. But there’s an abusive sort of victim-blaming in demanding that progressives single-handedly uphold civility, lest the right become even more uncivil in response. As long as our rulers wage war on cosmopolitan culture, they shouldn’t feel entitled to its fruits. If they don’t want to hear from the angry citizens they’re supposed to serve, let them eat at Trump Grill.”

I always thought if there was a Democrat who was going to go completely off the rails and more or less call for violence — or at least physical resistance — to the Trump administration, the clear choice was Maxine Waters. I mean, the writing was on the wall: The California Democrat has been saying some pretty outré stuff since Donald Trump was elected, and it’s become clear that whatever tenuous ties to reality she may have had were loosed on Nov. 8, 2016.
Nevertheless, despite Waters’ tendencies, I still imagined this to be a relatively long shot. So, imagine my surprise when Maxine decided to go full Maxine and call for physical confrontation with Trump cabinet members.
“Let’s make sure we show up, wherever we have to show up,” Waters told a crowd in Los Angeles protesting immigration on Sunday.
“If you see anybody from that cabinet in a restaurant, in a department store, at a gasoline station, you get out and you cause a crowd, and you push back on them, and you tell them they’re not welcome — anymore, anywhere.”

“Mr. President, we will see you every day, every hour of the day, everywhere that we are to let you know you cannot get away with this,” she added.
So, there you have it: Maxine going full Maxine. And, as usual, James Woods couldn’t resist responding.
And his thoughts were spot on.
“Now that a United States Congresswoman has called for harassment against Republicans and the inevitable violence that will come of it, I urge all of you to a) get armed, and b) vote,” Woods said.
“Your life literally depends on it.”
Now that a United States Congresswoman has called for harassment against Republicans and the inevitable violence that will come of it, I urge all of you to a) get armed, and b) vote. Your life literally depends on it.
— James Woods (@RealJamesWoods) June 25, 2018
Each one of these is true. First, it’s not exactly like this is just hypothetical. Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi was harassed at a showing of a documentary about (of all things) Mr. Rogers. This is going to move from harassment to violence very quickly — unless, of course, these individuals know that conservatives are going to be exercising their Second Amendment rights.
And secondly, get out and vote. This sort of rhetoric works among the most rabid of Democrats. Yet, that’s not most Americans, as we found out in the 2016 election.
Woods was hardly the only one who urged conservatives to take similar precautions in the wake of Waters’ threat. Former Milwaukee County, Wisconsin Sheriff David Clarke also advised similar actions.
Maxine (Papa’s Got a Brand New Bag) Waters call for open warfare on people is a campaign of menace. If an angry crowd circles someone, that person should view that as a threat to their bodily security. People reserve the right to defend themselves. https://t.co/ZXakBJLQLm
— David A. Clarke, Jr. (@SheriffClarke) June 25, 2018
However, Woods put it most succinctly and most brilliantly.
Let’s pray it never comes to this. However, if it does, it’s important for every American citizen to be prepared.

The frothing forces fighting President Donald Trump have been making quite a name for themselves in recent days.
Between a D.C.-area restaurant kicking out White House press secretary Sarah Sanders Friday night and the reliably deranged Rep. Maxine Waters calling on her followers on Sunday to physically harass Trump cabinet members they happen to see out in public, it’s been an interesting time to watch liberals in action.
But “Morning Joe” co-host Joe Scarborough, on the uber liberal MSNBC network, might have outdone them all.
Pretending to take the side of the American Red Cross, an iconic philanthropic group in American culture, Scarborough ended up essentially calling its leaders liars – because they had the temerity to correct him in public.
The incident started Friday evening, when Scarborough pounced on a Red Cross announcement that it had not yet been granted permission by the federal government to visit facilities where illegal immigrant children have been detained.
TRENDING: Kamala Harris Refused To Help Disabled Iraq War Vet After Illegal Immigrants Ruined His Life
Scarborough inflamed that rather dry bureaucratic statement into the idea that the Trump administration “is even banning” the Red Cross from the detention centers.
Trump’s Centralized State is even banning the Red Cross from visiting those infants and toddlers being incarcerated by Trump. What do Trump and Pence have to hide? https://t.co/envB35OsLz
— Joe Scarborough (@JoeNBC) June 23, 2018
By any honest reckoning, that’s “fake news.”
To be fair to the turncoat former Republican, Scarborough wasn’t the only Trump hater to leap to that conclusion. The responses to the Red Cross Twitter post were replete with references to the Nazi concentration camps and genocide. (They’re the kinds of tricks leftists like Hitler and Stalin pull when they get their hands on absolute power.)
But the Red Cross still had to respond to Scarborough, explaining that the MSNBC host was in error. The response was politely worded and even apologized unnecessarily for Scarborough leaping to a conclusion that played into his biases, but the message was that he was simply wrong. “No one is ‘banning’ us from anything,” the Red Cross wrote.
This is not true, and we are sorry if our statement led you to this conclusion. We’ve had discussions with federal officials to see if there is a way we can help, but no one is “banning” us from anything, and if there is a role for the Red Cross to play, we will.
— American Red Cross (@RedCross) June 23, 2018
Another man might have let it go. Scarborough had already used the Red Cross as a prop to attack the Trump administration, he could have dropped it and declared victory. But that’s not the way the anti-Trump crowd works these days.
He ended up attacking the organization he started out defending.
“Leave the spin to Sarah Huckabee Sanders,” he practically sneering in a responding tweet.
Your statement clearly states that you cannot help those incarcerated because despite your offers to help, the government did not grant you access.
I understand the position you are in. But focus on missing children and leave the spin to Sarah Huckabee Sanders. https://t.co/PMWXRg4qF2
— Joe Scarborough (@JoeNBC) June 23, 2018
Scarborough’s reaction is typical of the anti-Trump partisans these days.
Blinded by fury at an administration they despise, they are unable to see that there might be something – anything – that’s beyond what they think of as a malicious White House.
And when an innocuous group like the Red Cross dares to correct them in the humblest, mildest terms, they turn on what had only a moment before been a victim of Trump – and brand it essentially as a collaborationist organization lying to the American public on behalf of the Trump administration.
The saner part of the American public understands this, even if Scarborough and his crowd of deranged followers don’t. And the results of November’s midterms are likely to show it.
The past few days of liberal lunacy could well be setting up a liberal defeat come the fall.

Some days it feels like everyone under 40 is liberal — at least, that’s what the media loves to tell us. But, yes, there are plenty of up and coming young conservatives you should be paying attention to.
For the purposes of this article, we’re going to assume you’re already familiar with young conservatives like Ben Shapiro and Steven Crowder. If you’re not, by all means, you should check them out, too. However, we’re going to focus on a few that might have escaped your attention.
Here are 11 reasons why the under-40 crowd isn’t as liberal as you might have thought.
Katie Pavlich is one of the most eminent conservative opinion journalists working today, currently writing for both Townhall.com and The Hill. She’s also been a contributor on Fox News’ “The Five.” In other words, she’s pretty much everywhere.
TRENDING: Kamala Harris Refused To Help Disabled Iraq War Vet After Illegal Immigrants Ruined His Life
A 29-year-old graduate of the University of Arizona, Pavlich moved to Washington, D.C. after graduation and became an editor for Townhall. She slowly moved up from there, making appearances on most of the major cable networks. In addition to her media appearances, she also authored, “Fast and Furious: Barack Obama’s Bloodiest Scandal and Its Shameless Cover-Up.”
Taking on abortion giant Planned Parenthood is a difficult task no matter who you are, particularly if you’re under the age of 30. However, the 29-year-old Rose has quickly established herself as one of America’s most preeminent pro-life activists, standing up to the abortion mill and other pro-death forces on the left.
Rose, an evangelical Protestant who converted to Catholicism, started Live Action when she was only 15-years-old. Rose met James O’Keefe of Project Veritas fame while she was in college and was inspired to take undercover videos of Planned Parenthood clinics. One of those videos even resulted in a loss of $61 million in state funding to the abortion giant. Anyone who can do that is well on their way to being a conservative legend, and all before the age of 30.
Here’s Rose discussing Trump’s decision to cut Title X funding for Planned Parenthood on Fox News:
Back in 2015, The Washington Post called Anderson “the conservative movement’s fresh-faced, millennial, Ivy League-educated spokesman against same-sex marriage.” He’s a bit more than that. Anderson, who’s received his Ph.D., is currently the William E. Simon senior research fellow at The Heritage Foundation and an author of several books, mostly taking on the media’s narrative on issues of religious freedom.
His books include “Truth Overruled: The Future of Marriage and Religious Freedom” and “When Harry Became Sally: Responding to the Transgender Moment.” He’s also been cited in two Supreme Court cases.
Watch him debate same-sex marriage with Piers Morgan on CNN:
Don’t let Knowles‘ patrician bearing fool you. Even though The Daily Wire podcast host may have a distinctly Buckley-esque bent, he’s only 28-years-old. The Yale graduate began in acting, including in several web-based series. After acting didn’t quite seem to work out, Knowles was invited onto The Daily Wire program of the decidedly not-under-30 Andrew Klavan, who hired him as a cultural correspondent in 2016. It was around this time that Knowles released the best-selling Amazon book, “Reasons to Vote for Democrats: A Comprehensive Guide.” (It’s totally blank.)
Knowles has gotten his own podcast with The Daily Wire, joining Klavan and Wire impresario Ben Shapiro. No word yet on whether he plans a follow-up to his book, but he’ll probably require words this time.
Watch him in this PragerU video below:
Kristin Tate isn’t a fan of government waste. In fact, the self-described “Libertarian Chick” writes columns about how the federal government is spending your money for The Hill, in between visits to Fox News, CNN and MSNBC. Her latest book is called “How Do I Tax Thee?” Her first book, “Government Gone Wild,” was a smash hit when it was released. And all of this well before she’s hit 30.
Tate, needless to say, isn’t a fan of the swamp: “Both the Democrats and the Republicans have shown over and over, year in and year out, no matter who controls Congress or the White House, they’re not interested in us as individuals or in protecting our rights and freedoms,” Tate wrote in “Government Gone Wild.”
“They prefer to call all the shots in Washington, D.C. They claim to know what’s best for us. But for them, it’s not about us. Instead it’s all about their power, their privilege, and doing just enough to make sure they’re elected to another term. And another, and another…”
At some point, Rush Limbaugh will have to give up the golden EIB microphone and Dennis Prager will be gone from the airwaves. Will radio all go over to liberals at that point? Not if Jimmy Sengenberger has anything to do with it. The host of “Business for Breakfast with Jimmy Sengenberger” probably isn’t well known outside of Denver, where he hosts shows on both KDMT-AM and KNUS-AM, but the young host is making a name for himself in a medium that usually skews older in terms of demographics. And he’s been doing it since 2008 — meaning he’s a veteran of an industry when most people his age are simply doing news on the 8’s.
Sengenberger is also the president of the Liberty Day Institute, a non-profit founded in 1996. “Its longest-running initiative educates students, particularly fifth graders, on the U.S. Constitution and American government through Constitution booklets, classroom resources, and school volunteers,” Sengenberger notes on his webpage.
Here’s Sengenberger on social justice:
We’ve all been conditioned so that when we hear the words “Christian conservative,” our mind immediately floats to someone older. Matt Walsh could change that.
Bearded, young and opinionated, Walsh has recently joined Ben Shapiro’s Daily Wire, where he’s become somewhat well-known for doing his podcast from the confines of his car. Unlike his co-worker Michael Knowles, Walsh doesn’t have a blank book to his name; his “The Unholy Trinity: Blocking the Left’s Assault on Life, Marriage, and Gender” actually has words in it. Walsh is well-known for touching upon many themes, including moral rot in American society, the lack of responsibility among younger Americans and the importance of family.
In the wake of the tragic Parkland shooting in February, many of the students at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School became well-known political activists. While most of these were calling for gun control, Kashuv believed students could be kept safe without throwing the Second Amendment into the trash can.
This led to plenty of flak from the media — when they didn’t outright ignore him — including a bizarre saga where Newsweek reporter Kurt Eichenwald emailed Ben Shapiro insinuating that Kashuv was mentally ill. Throughout all of this, Kashuv has managed to maintain level while speaking out for his principles — both signs this is one young conservative who will go far.
Charlie Kirk began a career of conservative activism young — during his high school years, actually, when he started the group SOS Liberty. In 2012, he gained a modicum of fame when, upon graduating high school, he wrote an op-ed piece for Fox News about the national debt.
“In two weeks I will graduate from Wheeling High School,” Kirk wrote. “It is going to be a day to remember for the rest of my life. My principal will hand me a diploma, but that diploma is also an invoice for $870,000 — my share of America’s 2012 debt burden. The average American earns $1.3 million during their working career. When we factor in future deficit spending and interest, every single high school student owes the federal government more than they will ever earn in their lifetime. Since the day I was born, the United States has accrued eleven trillion dollars worth of new debt; and for those eighteen years of my existence, I haven’t even had a say in it.”
Kirk would begin having a say in it very soon. You may have heard of his forming a conservative group — Turning Point USA, home of Candace Owens, says that its “mission is to identify, educate, train, and organize students to promote the principles of freedom, free markets, and limited government.” It bills itself as “the largest and fastest growing youth organization in America.”
Kirk may have accomplished quite a bit at such a young age (24), but you can imagine we’ll see even more in the years to come. After all, as he said in his Fox News piece just a few short years ago: “There is significant promise in my generation. It is not too late to turn our fiscal ship around. Together we, the young people of America, can send a clear and concise message to every single Congressman, Senator, and Representative: We can’t afford it.”
While many of you may know James O’Keefe’s videos or his Project Veritas, many of you aren’t familiar with the man behind the projects. You know the drill when it comes to Project Veritas: They target a liberal organization, liberal organization says the video was “edited as to remove context,” the people speaking in the video end up getting fired and/or resigning anyway.
With his very first video, O’Keefe managed to take down “community organizing” group ACORN by pretending to be a pimp trying to find lodging with his, um, employee — and getting plenty of help from members of the organization. On Project Veritas’ page, O’Keefe notes that his “investigations have led directly to the passage of new legislation, federal and state investigations, congressional inquiries, the de-funding of taxpayer-funded groups, arrests, resignations, firings, re-trainings and disciplinary action.”
And he’s still at it. Check out this recent undercover video his journalists did that exposed teachers’ unions (which, we must warn you, contains some sensitive material. Viewer discretion is advised):
For Candace Owens, getting a name-check from Kanye West its just part of the gig. The Turning Point USA pundit has been gaining a huge following on YouTube, to the point where the fine liberal folks at Salon have actually dubbed her the “toxic right’s newest African-American star.” I’m not quite sure what a rightist has to do in order to be labeled “toxic” or what Owens’ melanin has to do with this, but I’m going to chalk this up to having a lot more to do with the media than with any actual concern.
Owens is probably best known for her “Red Pill Black” YouTube vodcast, but she’s been an activist for a number of years now. In fact, her conservative activism has gone back to high school, when racist threats against her were linked to the son of the Democrat mayor of Stamford, Connecticut. That’s not the kind of thing that’s going to stop Owens, however, and she now has over 200,000 subscribers on YouTube.
These are the young conservatives. They’ve used new media — YouTube, podcasting, social media — to make a name for themselves. Yet the principles that they’re advocating — limited government, strong families, patriotism — are as old as the country.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The U.S. Supreme Court ruled 5-4 that crisis pregnancy centers cannot be forced to promote abortions. The opinion was authored by Justice Thomas in favor of National Institute of Family and Life Advocates (NIFLA)v. Becerra, one of four cases brought by crisis pregnancy centers which challenged a California law as a violation of the First Amendment. Justice Kennedy filed a concurring opinion joined by Roberts, Alito and Gorsuch.

Pro-life pregnancy centers should not be forced to steer pregnant women to abortion clinics, according to the Supreme Court.
The High Court said a California law that threatened massive fines against crisis pregnancy centers unless they gave their customers information about obtaining abortions likely violates the First Amendment. Many of those centers are religious charities and sued the state alleging that lawmakers were compelling them to advocate practices they found objectionable. The 5-4 majority agreed, saying the law violated their constitutional right to free speech.
"The (law) unduly burdens protected speech," the ruling written by Justice Clarence Thomas said. "It imposes a government-scripted, speaker-based disclosure requirement that is wholly disconnected from the State’s informational interest."
Thomas took issue with the fact that the law was targeted at specific groups, rather than applied to all practitioners in the state. The narrow focus of the law further exacerbated the infringement of speech rights and was designed to advance a favored point of view.
"One of the state-sponsored services that the licensed notice requires petitioners to advertise is abortion—the very practice that petitioners are devoted to opposing," the majority said.
Four Democrat-appointed justices dissented from the case. Justice Stephen Breyer said the law was appropriate and that the majority could undermine disclosure laws in other fields, such as securities, by taking too broad a view of free speech in professional environments. He worried the First Amendment could now be used as a "weapon" against regulation.
"Medical professionals do not, generally speaking, have a right to use the Constitution as a weapon allowing them rigorously to control the content of those reasonable conditions," the dissent said. "Using the First Amendment to strike down economic and social laws that legislatures long would have thought themselves free to enact will, for the American public, obscure, not clarify, the true value of protecting freedom of speech."
Pro-life groups welcomed the decision. Terry Schilling, president of the American Principles Project, said it was a victory for pluralism and religious liberty.
The 2017 Supreme Court season has been a productive one for religious believers after President Trump appointed Justice Neil Gorsuch to replace the late Justice Antonin Scalia on the bench. The Court ruled 7-2 in favor of a Colorado baker who declined to participate in a gay wedding after finding that state regulators discriminated against the baker’s religious beliefs. Schilling said that and the pregnancy center case should send a clear message to liberals who attempt to coerce speech from private citizens.
"This summer has been a nightmare for so-called progressives. First the Court rules that Christians must be treated with dignity and respect during their proceedings and now they have thrown out a law that forced people to advocate for abortion," Schilling said.
The ruling may not only affect California. Illinois and Hawaii have similar laws on the books, which spurred lawsuits from local pregnancy centers there. Schilling said he hopes lower courts will follow the Supreme Court in striking down such laws.
"By ruling against California’s blatantly unconstitutional law, the Court has made it clear that freedom of speech still remains protected, even when threatened by the left’s ever-intensifying efforts to force people of faith to speak and act against their beliefs," he said. "We hope that crisis pregnancy centers in California will now be able to continue with their important work of providing assistance to women and children in need, unharassed by hostile state legislators."
