‘Gun Control’ in Action: Driver Riddled with Bullets in ‘Machine Gun’ Attack in Khan’s London

A man is in critical condition in hospital after being riddled with bullets in Sadiq Khan’s London, just 20 minutes after another man was stabbed in the chest in an unrelated attack.

The 24-year-old shooting victim was blasted in his car in what has been described as a “machine gun” attack, with witnesses recalling up to 17 shots fired in Brent in north-west London at about 8.34 p.m, The Sun reports.

“From what I can tell, he was sitting in his car when he got into an argument with someone who then shot at him with a machine gun (at least) 11 times,” said one witness. “The police… told everyone to stay indoors.”

“Heard shots all the way from north side Stonebridge as they were fired I counted about 17 shots,” tweeted another.

“Absolute madness!!! Enough is enough!!!’”

It should be noted that the actual firearm type has not been confirmed, and no arrests have been made in connection with either the shooting or the earlier stabbing.

The news comes right after a young man stabbed to death on the capital’s ‘millionaire row’ became London’s 69th suspected murder victim in 2018, with top surgeons predicting a “summer of carnage” as attacks using acid, machetes, knives, and firearms surge under the mayoralty of Labour’s Sadiq Khan.

Establishment commentators have often appeared to suggest that gun crime ceased to be an issue in Britain after the introduction of draconian gun controls which followed the Dunblane school shooting, with no further school shootings being carried out since then.

However, the Dunblane shooting was the first massacre of its kind in British history, and quite unlike the typical U.S. school shooting. Moreover, while there have been no further school shootings involving handguns since the near-total handgun ban, Countryside Alliance research indicates that general handgun crime spiked by 40 per cent in the two years following its introduction.

This process appears to have accelerated in recent years, with gun crime for all types of firearms in London increasing by 42 per cent between 2016 and 2017.

Law-abiding citizens may not carry firearms, pepper spray, or articles of any kind for self-defence anywhere in the United Kingdom except Northern Ireland — where serving and former members of the police and Armed Forces may apply for a personal protection weapon — and self-defence is not considered a valid reason for keeping a firearm at home.

This contrasts sharply with the United States, where law-abiding citizens, as well as criminals, may carry guns, with Centers for Disease Control and Prevention research indicating that millions of crimes are thwarted by defensive gun uses every year.

DELICIOUS: Obama’s Chicago Presidential Center Fought By Progressives And Environmentalists

In an ironic turn of events, the Presidential Center devoted to Barack Obama, who fancied himself as a man who cared about revitalizing inner-city neighborhoods and a man who cared deeply about the environment, has been hit with a lawsuit from progressives and environmentalists who don’t want what looks like a giant 235-foot monstrosity wrecking Chicago’s famous Jackson Park, the site of the 1893 Chicago’s World Fair.

As Dennis Byrne writes in The Weekly Standard, the $375 million Obama Presidential Center is running into opposition from “white Chicago lakefront progressives, University of Chicago professors, environmentalists, African-American activists, and a community organization of the kind that once employed Obama as an organizer.”

A group called Protect Our Parks filed a lawsuit on May 14 to obtain a court order preventing local government agencies from building the Obama center. The lawsuit seeks to bar the city from ceding control of the center’s site to the Obama Foundation. In order for the center to be built, the Chicago Park District and the City of Chicago would have to transfer public parkland to the Obama Foundation, which the lawsuit claims would constitute the “illegal taking of public park land.” The suit adds that the sale would be “a short con shell game, a corrupt scheme to deceive and seemingly legitimize an illegal land grab.” The suit alleges:

The City and Park District clearly realize and fully understand that this established law precludes the Park District from arbitrarily transferring possession, use and control of this dedicated “open, clear and free” public parkland in Jackson Park to a private nongovernmental … entity’s self-determined use. Defendants have chosen to deal with it in a classic Chicago political way, known as a short con shell game, a corrupt scheme to deceive and seemingly legitimize an illegal land grab, one that will endure for centuries to come, regardless of future changing public park needs and increasingly consequential environmental conditions.

As Byrne notes, “the plans for the Obama Presidential Center also appear to violate the city’s Lakefront Protection Ordinance, which has often been invoked to protect the 19-mile-long string of Chicago lakefront parks from exactly the kind of intrusion the Obama Foundation is proposing.”

This is not the first time preservationists have fought construction in the area; in 2016, Friends of the Parks filed a federal lawsuit that wound up blocking a proposal to put the Lucas Museum of Narrative Art along the lakefront south of Soldier Field.

On January 8, over 120 University of Chicago professors, faculty, and staff published a letter that listed over 20 community, labor, environmental, open space, and other groups whose objections to the project “taken together . . . form an intelligible whole.” The objections included the $175 million cost of related infrastructure, the surrender of public land to a private entity, and the proposed use of 21 acres guarded by the National Register of Historic Places. Additionally, a major thoroughfare would have to be constructed linking downtown with the South Side.

The letter stated that the location for the center “privileges cars and those who can afford them. Parking is expensive and though public land is being given away all the profits from the parking lot will go to the Obama Foundation. None of the funds go back to the city to improve train lines and public transportation infrastructure.”

NYT: We Ran Out Of Words To Describe How Good The Jobs Numbers Are

Every now and again, they let a little truth out.

Via NY Times:

The real question in analyzing the May jobs numbers released Friday is whether there are enough synonyms for “good” in an online thesaurus to describe them adequately.

So, for example, “splendid” and “excellent” fit the bill. Those are the kinds of terms that are appropriate when the United States economy adds 223,000 jobs in a month, despite being nine years into an expansion, and when the unemployment rate falls to 3.8 percent, a new 18-year low.

“Salubrious,” “salutary” and “healthy” work as words to describe the 0.3 percent rise in average hourly earnings, which are up 2.7 percent over the last year — a nice improvement but also not the kind of sharp increase that might lead the Federal Reserve to rethink its cautious path of interest rate increases.

And a broader definition of unemployment, which includes people who have given up looking for a job out of frustration, fell to 7.6 percent. The jobless rate for African-Americans fell to 5.9 percent, the lowest on record, which we would count as “great.”

UNHINGED: John Brennan Vows to Continue to Attack POTUS Trump ‘Until Integrity Returns to the White House’

UNHINGED: John Brennan Vows to Continue to Attack POTUS Trump ‘Until Integrity Returns to the White House’

Former CIA Director-turned-Twitter-troll, John Brennan vowed to continue attacking President Trump on Friday in a Washington Post op-ed.

“This is why I speak out against Mr. Trump and will continue to do so….” said Brennan in a tweet caption linking to his op-ed.

Never have we seen the former administration undermine and attack the current administration the way Obama and his cronies do.

It is unprecedented.

John Brennan compared President Trump to foreign dictators in his unhinged WaPo op-ed titled: “I will speak out until integrity returns to the White House”

What does that mean? Until Trump is removed from office?

The op-ed shows how narcissistic John Brennan is, claiming he had “the rare privilege of directly serving four presidents.”

Brennan continually calls President Trump a liar throughout the piece and paints President Trump as a power hungry dictator.

Brennan was actually describing the Obama administration’s weaponization of law enforcement and intel agencies, however; he projected it onto President Trump:

For more than three decades, I observed and analyzed the traits and tactics of corrupt, incompetent and narcissistic foreign officials who did whatever they thought was necessary to retain power. Exploiting the fears and concerns of their citizenry, these demagogues routinely relied on lies, deceit and suppression of political opposition to cast themselves as populist heroes and to mask self-serving priorities. By gaining control of intelligence and security services, stifling the independence of the judiciary and discrediting a free press, these authoritarian rulers followed a time-tested recipe for how to inhibit democracy’s development, retard individual freedoms and liberties, and reserve the spoils of corrupt governance for themselves and their ilk. It never dawned on me that we could face such a development in the United States.

“The impact of the Trump presidency will be felt for many years to come,” said Brennan.

Brennan notes many have harshly condemned his continued attacks on the current administration.

In response to the criticisms, Brennan claims he’s apolitical and nonpartisan.

Many have condemned my public criticism of Mr. Trump, arguing that as a former CIA director, I should bite my tongue. My criticisms, however, are not political; I have never been and will never be a partisan. I speak out for the simple reason that Mr. Trump is failing to live up to the standards that we should all expect of a president.

In conclusion, Brennan vows to “continue to speak out loudly and critically until integrity, decency, wisdom — and maybe even some humility — return to the White House.”

John Brennan is a leaker and a liar; he was directly involved in Spygate which is why he continues to attack President Trump.

Brennan’s crimes are bubbling up to the surface; he is also stuck in a perjury trap.

The former CIA Director knows there is a chance he can end up in prison just like other CIA officials who were jailed for leaking classified information.

“The anti-establishment thing is kind of a luxury we can’t afford right now,” says … Steve Bannon

Steve Bannon. Generalissimo of the populist-nationalist revolution. A guy who, six months ago, was waging political guerrilla warfare against Senate Republican incumbents from coast to coast.

Now reduced to this.

On behalf of Salon Conservatives Club, it’s my honor to present Steve with the “Cuck of the Year” award for 2018.

[Chris] McDaniel’s faded political fortunes point up one of the more unforeseen effects of Mr. Trump’s leadership of the Republican Party. Instead of elevating the renegade, insurgent conservatives who have vowed to challenge party leaders in Washington — candidates who are politically and temperamentally cut from the same cloth as the president — Mr. Trump has effectively shut off the oxygen to the noisiest and most fractious wing of his party…

Mr. Trump’s repositioning has led some self-styled conservative agitators to acknowledge that their bomb-throwing, anti-establishment playbook is in need of refinement.

“People are starting to realize that the anti-establishment thing is kind of a luxury we can’t afford right now,” said Stephen K. Bannon, the president’s former chief strategist who six months ago said it was his objective to see Mr. McConnell removed as the Senate Republican leader.

In my mind’s eye I imagine Mitch McConnell feeding him a biscuit and giving him a little rub around the ear for that. That’s the only quote from Bannon in the Times story so it’s unclear what he meant when he said populism is counterproductive “right now,” but I assume he’s saying that the midterms look too tight to risk weakening GOP incumbents. If so, that makes no sense: The GOP’s in far better shape electorally at the moment than it was late last year when Bannon’s anti-establishment primary kick was in full swing. On Christmas Day, Democrats led by 13 farking points on the generic ballot, portending a Biblical catastrophe for Republicans this November. Today the lead is 3.2. If anything, Bannon should be making the case that the Trump-led economic boom and the improved Republican midterm outlook has made populists newly viable.

But if he does that it’ll put him crosswise with Trump again. Pope Donald excommunicated him from the church of the right for his blasphemies in Michael Wolff’s book. The only path back to relevance for Bannon is to stay on his good side. And now, after watching Bannon lead the party to ruin in Alabama, Trump’s “good side” is defined by backing boring McConnell-approved establishment incumbents who can win this fall and help advance POTUS’s agenda next year. Bannon’s stuck having to defend that somehow so he’s come up with this half-assed excuse that “right now” is a worse moment for the glorious people’s revolution than last fall was, but in reality he simply can’t afford another tussle with Trump. Like most “people’s revolutions,” the one Bannon helped organize in 2016 has led to a dictatorship with the leader’s word now law in setting Republican orthodoxy. It’s surprising that a smart well-read guy like Bannon didn’t see that coming. Or more likely, he did see it coming but convinced himself that he’d be the power behind the throne. What’s wrong with dictatorship if you get to be the boss’s right-hand man?

I can’t get over him using the word “luxury” to describe populism, though. I’m thunderstruck. Imagine telling him and Breitbart circa summer 2016 that cleaning the Augean stables in Washington of Ryans and McConnells was a “luxury” rather than a necessity so urgent that the fate of the country itself hung on it. All of the “Flight 93 election” garbage from two years ago hinged on the idea that America is far past the point of luxuries in course correction. It needs to be done now. Yesterday. When the average joe is drowning in the swamp’s quicksand, throwing him a rope isn’t a “luxury.” No doubt some of Bannon’s reporter friends are on the phone with him as I write this, asking him to clarify and elaborate, and no doubt Bannon’s riffing at length on ideas he’s absorbed from his latest round of reading — probably something about how his current strategy in bringing nationalism to power is based on the Peloponnesian War or whatever. I’ve got a book in mind myself about the state of the populist revolution after reading that quote of his: “The creatures outside looked from pig to man, and from man to pig, and from pig to man again; but already it was impossible to say which was which.”

Here’s Mr. Establishment reflecting on the state of the Bannon-created popular dictatorship that now rules the GOP.

PORTLAND: Bakery Fires Employees For Denying Service To A Black Woman AFTER CLOSING TIME

In Portland, two employees lost their job at a bakery for denying service to a black woman after closing time.

Following the incident, “Back To Eden Bakery” issued several public apologies. In one Facebook post, the bakery’s co-owner wrote, “We are doing business in a gentrified neighborhood in a racist city within a racist state of a racist country.”

The incident sounds all-too-similar to the Starbucks situation, where a manager called the police on two black men who wanted to use the restroom and refused to buy something. Here’s how ABC local described the incident:

In one statement, ‘Back To Eden Bakery’ says that according to its own surveillance video, a black woman named ‘Lillian,’ who is well known in the area as a ‘professional equity activist,’ entered at 9:06 p.m., after the bakery’s closing time. Employees had also turned off the ‘Open’ sign, but several customers (all white) who had already ordered were still inside. Two other white women who went to the bakery two minutes before ‘Lillian,’ and were also informed that the business was closed for the night.

The bakery says ‘Lillian’ left the store briefly and began recording video.

So, because “Lillian” could not accept that perhaps some customers dealt with employees who were more relaxed on the rules, two employees have now lost their jobs for following business protocol. In the bakery’s own statement, the employees were not fired for being racist or for violating any rules, but because “sometimes impact outweighs intent.”

Translation: Social justice matters more than actual justice. Or better yet, feelings matter more than facts.

The bakery also said the employees “lacked sensitivity and understanding of the racial implications at work.”

What were the employees supposed to do? The woman came to the establishment demanding special treatment and somehow they were ones who lacked sensitivity and understanding. “Lillian” certainly has no sensitivity or understanding, considering that she was the one publicly called for their firing.

In another statement, the bakery even admitted the employees did nothing wrong, saying “this is more about how a black woman was made to feel” at the business.

John Solomon Bombshell: Obama Deep State Was Spying on Trump Campaign with Human Sources Before Investigation Launched

John Solomon dropped another bombshell Friday on the historic Obama spygate scandal.

According to Solomon new documents reveal the Obama deep state figures contacted Trump campaign officials in Great Britain prior to the launch of any FBI investigation.

This spying on Trump campaign officials show the Comey FBI broke their own rules governing informants.

The Hill reported:

The bridge to the Russia investigation wasn’t erected in Moscow during the summer of the 2016 election.

It originated earlier, 1,700 miles away in London, where foreign figures contacted Trump campaign advisers and provided the FBI with hearsay allegations of Trump-Russia collusion, bureau documents and interviews of government insiders reveal. These contacts in spring 2016 — some from trusted intelligence sources, others from Hillary Clinton supporters — occurred well before FBI headquarters authorized an official counterintelligence investigation on July 31, 2016.

The new timeline makes one wonder: Did the FBI follow its rules governing informants?

Here’s what a congressman and an intelligence expert think.

“The revelation of purposeful contact initiated by alleged confidential human sources prior to any FBI investigation is troublesome,” Rep. Mark Meadows (R-N.C.), an ally of President Trump and chairman of a House subcommittee that’s taking an increasingly aggressive oversight role in the scandal, told me. “This new information begs the questions: Who were the informants working for, who were they reporting to and why has the [Department of Justice] and FBI gone to such great lengths to hide these contacts?”

Kevin Brock agrees that Congress has legitimate questions. The retired FBI assistant director for intelligence supervised the rewriting of bureau rules governing sources, under then-director Robert Mueller a decade ago. Those rules forbid the FBI from directing a human source to target an American until a formally predicated investigative file is opened.

John Solomon from The Hill told Sean Hannity on Thursday night the Obama White House attempted to take over the Russian-collusion investigation.

FBI Releases Docs Showing Hillary’s State Department Shopped Benghazi Story to Compliant WSJ Reporter One Week After Attack

FBI Releases Docs Showing Hillary’s State Department Shopped Benghazi Story to Compliant WSJ Reporter One Week After Attack

The FBI released new documents Friday showing Hillary’s State Department pitched a Benghazi story to a Wall Street Journal reporter who enthusiastically complied.

Hillary Clinton’s State Department gave stand down orders to Special Ops forces ready to go in and help Americans who were surrounded by hundreds of Islamic insurgents in Benghazi, Libya on September 11-12th, 2012.

The movie ’13 Hours’ gives personal accounts from eyewitnesses who were in Benghazi when Islamic terrorists attacked the US State Department Special Mission Compound.

We lost FOUR Americans that night. Tyrone Woods, Sean Smith, Ambassador Christopher Stevens and Glen Doherty. Never forget.

To add insult to injury, the Obama administration lied about the Benghazi attack by blaming it on a YouTube video.

Hillary Clinton also lied straight to the parents of the victims of Benghazi. The parents of two of the Americans killed sued Hillary in federal court claiming she is liable for their deaths, the Washington Times reported.

Hillary’s State Department shopped a Benghazi story to then-Wall Street Journal reporter, Adam Entous about a week after the horrific terrorist attack which claimed the lives of four Americans.

Adam Entous enthusiastically complied.

It is important to note that Adam Entous is now with the Washington Post and behind many ‘Trump-Russia’ hit pieces using ‘anonymous sources.’

Screenshot of email exchange between Hillary’s State Dept and Adam Entous via FBI’s vault:

H/T Jordan Schachtel

Jordan Schachtel then stated he believes Entous was communicating with Hillary’s spox Philippe Reines, a corrupt, Trump-hating operative.

Based on what I’ve read, it is highly likely that Entous was communicating with then State Dept spox Philippe Reines, a trusted and close aide to Hillary.

Begs the question:

Did Philippe have a major role in spreading “Trump-Russia” conspiracies?
