According to a new memoir from former Deputy National Security Advisor for Strategic Communications and consummate liar Ben Rhodes, after President Trump’s election in 2016, Barack Obama once again hoisted his narcissistic self to the heavens, thinking how visionary he was as he mused, “Sometimes I wonder whether I was 10 or 20 years too early.”
According to Rhodes, Obama’s comments were prompted by his aides telling him he would have defeated Trump if he had run for a third term and that the next generation would have preferred him to Trump.
As The New York Times reports, after Mr. Trump’s election, according to Rhodes, Obama vacillated from anger (calling Trump a “cartoon figure”) to taking the “long view.” Rhodes quoted Obama thinking of how Trump would undo what he had done, then alluding to “The Godfather,” saying, “I feel like Michael Corleone. I almost got out.”
Rhodes writes that aides wanted Obama to respond to criticism that he should be more vocal about Russian intruding on the U.S. election, but Obama demurred, allegedly saying, . “I talk about it every time I’m asked. What else are we going to do? We’ve warned folks.”
Rhodes adds that Obama thought Trump would claim the election was rigged if Obama spoke out, saying, “If I speak out more, he’ll just say it’s rigged.”
Rhodes writes that Obama said despairingly of Trump’s victory, “Maybe this is what people want. I’ve got the economy set up well for him. No facts. No consequences. They can just have a cartoon.”
Rhodes writes that when Obama and Trump met, Trump focused on the size of the crowds that he and Obama could draw that Hillary Clinton could not. Rhodes claims when Obama spoke with aides afterward, he said, “I’m trying to place him in American history,” prompting Rhodes to respond that Trump peddled bull, adding, “That character has always been part of the American story. You can see it right back to some of the characters in Huckleberry Finn.”
Obama allegedly answered, “Maybe that’s the best we can hope for.”

On Wednesday, movie producer Harvey Weinstein, 66, was indicted on charges of rape and a criminal sexual act, according to Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus Vance.
Vance released this statement:
A Grand Jury has voted to indict Harvey Weinstein on charges of Rape in the First and Third Degrees, and Criminal Sexual Act in the First Degree. This indictment brings the defendant another step closer to accountability for the crimes of violence with which he is now charged. Our office will try this case not in the press, but in the courtroom where it belongs. The defendant’s recent assault on the integrity of the survivors and the legal process is predictable. We are confident that when the jury hears the evidence, it will reject these attacks out of hand. I thank the heroic survivors for their strength throughout this process. I also thank Commissioner James O’Neill and members of the New York City Police Department for their dedication to this case. This investigation remains active and ongoing. We continue to urge additional survivors and others with relevant information to call us at 212-335-9373.
Weinstein, the co-founder of the Miramax film studio and the Weinstein Company, had been arrested last Friday and was freed on $1 million cash bail ordered by a judge; roughly 70 women have accused Weinstein of one form or another of sexual misconduct.
Ben Brafman, head of Weinstein’s legal team, said Weinstein would plead not guilty; Weinstein could serve between five and 25 years in prison. Brafman stated, “Mr. Weinstein intends to enter a plea of not guilty and vigorously defend against these unsupported allegations that he strongly denies. We will soon formally move to dismiss the indictment and if this case actually proceeds to trial, we expect Mr. Weinstein to be acquitted.”
The indictment stems from accusations from two women; police said the alleged crimes occurred in 2004 and 2013.

Depressing sight at Trump rally in Nashville: adorable young boy, probly about my son’s age, pointing iPhone at me & other reporters & snapping pix while screaming “FAKE NEWS!” A child who will grow up believing a free & fair press is the enemy, a bad thing, to be mocked & hated
— Julie Davis (@juliehdavis) May 30, 2018
Davis then promptly wrote in her Times report that just 1,000 were at rally when at least 5,5000 people attended the event. The Times was forced to issue a correction on Wednesday after Trump blasted the outlet for disparaging and demeaning his supporters.
“The Failing and Corrupt @nytimes estimated the crowd last night at ‘1000 people,’ when in fact it was many times that number – and the arena was rockin’. This is the way they demean and disparage,” Trump tweeted. “They are very dishonest people who don’t ‘get’ me, and never did!”

— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) May 30, 2018
In its correction, the Times said an earlier version “cited an incorrect figure for the number of people attending President Trump’s rally.”
“While no exact figure is available, the fire marshal’s office estimated that approximately 5,500 people attended the rally, not about 1,000 people,” the correction added.
Breitbart News reporter Michael Patrick Leahy attended the event and estimated more than 8,000 people were in attendance. Trump’s campaign issued a Wednesday statement that agreed with Breitbart News’ estimate.
“President Trump hosted over 8,000 patriotic Americans at our rally in Nashville last night, but the New York Times wants to mislead and deceive its declining readership by claiming that we had an ‘audience of about 1,000,’” Trump Campaign Chief Operating Officer Michael Glassner said in a Wednesday statement. “This is yet another blatant attempt by the fake news media to deny the truth about President Trump’s success and diminish the reality of the Trump movement.”
President @realDonaldTrump is correct about his crowd last night. My estimate was way off, and we have corrected our story to reflect the fire marshal’s estimate of 5,500 people. When we get it wrong, we say so. https://t.co/AX2JkAMyh4 https://t.co/2LbfmkiSti

On Wednesday, videos made by the deranged gunman who shot up Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in February were released that appeared to reveal a possible motive of why he shot up the school.
“It’s going to be a big event,” the Parkland shooter said before laughing. “And when you see me on the news, you’ll all know who I am.”
“I am nothing, I am no one,” the shooter stated. “My life is nothing and meaningless. I live a lone life, I live in seclusion and solitude. I hate everyone and everything.”
The 19-year-old said that his goal was to kill at least 20 people, saying, “I had enough of people telling me I’m an idiot and a dumbass…you will all know who my name is. With the power of my AR you will all know who I am.”
“There is a certain group of school shooters who engaged in fame-seeking behavior,” Peter Langman, a clinical psychologist, told The Miami Herald. “They want to be known. They want to change from a nobody into a somebody and the only way they can think to do that it to kill a lot of people.”
It is for this reason that The Daily Wire no longer publishes the names and photos of mass shooters and would-be mass shooters who are stopped by law enforcement before carrying out their attacks.
EDITOR’S NOTE: Recent studies suggest that “media coverage of mass shootings can have a significant impact on the psyches of potential mass shooters — that such potential mass shooters have a cognitive craving for attention, which they know they will receive for committing atrocities.” For this reason, The Daily Wire no longer publishes names and images of mass shooters as it has become increasingly clear in recent years that “the value of public knowledge regarding specific names and photographs of mass shooters is significantly outweighed by the possibility of encouraging more mass shootings.”

A New York Times article on Weinstein’s court appearance noted how the “ground shifted” last year, finally ending the “code of silence” surrounding powerful men. Why “last year,” if this has been going on for decades?
The article explained that Weinstein’s power was enormous, his connections extensive and his willingness to play dirty without bounds. Did Harvey lose his money and connections “last year”?
Nope. But “last year” was the first year of Trump’s presidency, or as I like to think of it, the first year of Hillary not being president. Ever.
The liberal protection racket for sexual predators was always intimately intertwined with the Clintons. The template used to defend Bill Clinton became a model for all left-wing sexual predators. They all hired the same lawyers and detectives and counted on the same cultural elites to mete out punishment to anyone who stood in the way of their Caligula lifestyles. It was Total War against the original #MeToo movement.
Even Teddy Kennedy never plotted revenge on reporters or smeared his sexual conquests as bimbos, trailer park trash and stalkers. That was the Clinton model.
Showing how incestuous it was, in 2000 — two years after Clinton’s impeachment — Weinstein used his publishing company, Talk/Miramax, overseen by Tina Brown, to take revenge on anyone involved in Clinton’s impeachment.
The publishing house commissioned a book by John Connolly to dig into the private sex lives of the people who had helped expose Bill Clinton, e.g., the lawyers behind Paula Jones’ lawsuit, Ken Starr’s staff, Linda Tripp lawyer Jim Moody, Matt Drudge, reporter Michael Isikoff and so on.
Concise summary of the book: All of us were gay, except me, because I was having an affair with Geraldo Rivera.
We know this because drafts of the book, The Insane Clown Posse, soon began to leak. Talk/Miramax’s editor-in-chief Jonathan Burnham denied that any private eyes had been prying into our private lives and said he’d kill the book if it were true.
I went on Rivera Live and produced a letter given to me by an ex-boyfriend from a private eye looking for dirt on me:
“My office has been engaged by John C. Connolly, a writer who has performed work for Spy, New York, Premiere, Vanity Fair and a few other magazines. The project for which my services were engaged deals with January 16th, 1998, the day Monica Lewinsky was corralled by the office of the independent counsel. Mr. Connolly has described the goal as ‘a day in the life of’-type book, and to that he has directed me to conduct interviews and look into the background and activities of a few peripheral characters, including the author of ‘High Crimes and Misdemeanors,’ one Ann Coulter.
“Nils B. Grevillius, private investigator”
As a result, the book was killed. But what if my ex hadn’t given me that letter?
No one cared about any of our private lives. The only point was to humiliate anyone who hadn’t endorsed Clinton’s treatment of women as his sexual playthings.
There were plenty who did.
Well into the Monica Lewinsky scandal — which followed the Gennifer Flowers scandal, the Paula Jones scandal, the Dolly Kyle Browning scandal, the Elizabeth Ward Gracen scandal, the Sally Perdue scandal and the Kathleen Willey scandal — feminist icon Gloria Steinem wrote her infamous New York Times op-ed, announcing the “One Free Grope” rule for progressive men.
“He takes no for an answer,” Steinem explained. Whether he was groping Kathleen Willey in the Oval Office or dropping his pants for Paula Jones in the Excelsior Hotel, she said, Clinton “accepted rejection.”
Soon thereafter, we found out about Juanita Broaddrick.
As Bob Herbert wrote in The New York Times, the reaction of the feminists to Clinton’s predatory behavior “can most charitably be described as restrained.” (This was when the Times was still an occasionally serious newspaper.)
Not one Senate Democrat voted to remove Clinton from office for various felonies related to his sexual assaults.
The message was clear. Liberal men got a pass for any sexual misconduct, even rape. But woe be to those who accused them. (Even last year, NBC News was still following the old rule: It fired Ronan Farrow rather than publish his Weinstein expose.)
Liberal males treated progressive politics like carbon credits for rape. Last year, MSNBC’s Kasie Hunt reported that Democratic sexual predators on Capitol Hill say, “I can’t be sexist; I’m a progressive.”
Recall that Weinstein’s reaction to the accusations against him was to say: “I’ve decided that I’m going to give the NRA my full attention. I hope Wayne LaPierre will enjoy his retirement party. I’m going to do it at the same place I had my Bar Mitzvah.”
It’s hard to avoid the impression that a big part of the reason Weinstein was finally exposed is that the Clinton machine is dead. Trump killed it. Would anyone have called out Weinstein if his good friend Hillary Clinton were “Madame President”? I doubt it. The Clinton protection racket would have gone on and on and on.
After years of feminists excusing sexual predators, once the Clintons were out of the way, the dam broke. There was no reason to keep humiliating themselves by defending the indefensible.
The Worst Generation has flatlined. There are no more Clintons to save. But as absolutely intellectually convinced as I am of the Clintons’ demise, I’d feel a lot better if someone would keep a wooden stake handy.

The New York Times corrected its report on the crowd size of President Donald Trump’s rally in Nashville, Tennessee on Tuesday night.
NYT originally estimated the crowd size to be about 1,000 people, and the president soon called them out on Twitter for the incorrect estimate.
“The Failing and Corrupt @nytimes estimated the crowd last night at ‘1000 people,’ when in fact it was many times that number – and the arena was rockin’. This is the way they demean and disparage,” the president tweeted.

He did it so people would know his name.
Via Fox News:
Prosecutors on Wednesday released three chilling videos of Parkland school shooting suspect Nikolas Cruz detailing his plans to become famous after plotting to kill people at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School.
“Hello, my name is Nik, and I’m going to be the next school shooter of 2018,” Cruz, 19, calmly stated in one of the videos, which appeared to have been filmed on Feb. 14, the day of the mass shooting. The gunman said there was “going to be a big event” at Stoneman Douglas.
Cruz — who shot and killed 17 people and left 17 others injured on Valentine’s Day at the Florida high school with an AR-15 semiautomatic rifle, according to investigators — said his “goal is at least 20 people with an AR-15.”
The suspect, who laid out his “plan” for the massacre in one of his videos, was heard saying that when people see him “on the news, you’ll all know who I am,” before laughing. “You’re all going to die. Pew pew pew pew pew. Ah yeah, can’t wait.”

Hogg tweeted:
Remeber a time when there wasn’t a school shooting every week? I don’t because I wasn’t alive.
— David Hogg (@davidhogg111) May 27, 2018
Paronto responded with a tweet that showed Hogg in a vagina hat and allowed the former Army Ranger to correct the record:
I remember, it was before your generation started shooting up the schools David, even though we still had guns. Thank you for confirming..again…that it’s not the gun, it’s person, and in particular you & your peers millennial culture. @davidhogg111 #whenhoggsaysstupidshit #2A pic.twitter.com/NPf8Qsoqtt

The Daily Wire reports that Paronto “was part of the CIA annex security team that responded to the attack in Benghazi, Libya, on September 11, 2012, helping to save nearly two dozen lives during the siege for over 13 hours.”
In 2015 Paronto told KETV that he and his men were ready to go “five minutes in” to receiving word that the Benghazi consulate was under attack, but were told to “wait.”

Roseanne Barr tweeted about the cancellation of her show Tuesday, and apologized several times over her tweet about a former Obama aide while calling ABC hypocritical for their decision.
Barr released a statement explaining that the tweet did not reflect her values and apologized for her “thoughtless” act.
“I deeply regret my comments from late last night on Twitter,” the statement read. “Above all, I want to apologize to Valerie Jarrett, as well as to ABC and the case and crew of the Roseanne show.”
“I am sorry for making a thoughtless joke that does not reflect my values – I love all people and I am very sorry. Today my words caused hundreds of hardworking people to lose their jobs. I also sincerely apologize to the audience that has embraced my work for decades.”
“I apologize from the bottom of my heart and hope you can find it in your hearts to forgive me.”
She also tweeted a short apology on her Twitter social media account.
“Don’t feel sorry for me, guys!!” she tweeted. “I just want to apologize to the hundreds of people, and wonderful writers (all liberal) and talented actors who lost their jobs on my show due to my stupid tweet.”

“I will be on Joe Rogan’s podcast friday,” she added.
But in retweets on her social media account, she reported messages from her fans who called ABC hypocritical for what they saw as a double standard against Barr for being pro-Trump.
Two tweets she reposted noted that liberal Keith Olbermann had just been hired at ESPN, despite his many explicit-ridden tweets and statements against the president, including one that read, “F**ck you @RealDonaldTrump Nazi Nazi f**k Nazi Nazi RACIST Nazi BIGOT go f**k yourself f**king Nazi f**kers.”
She also retweeted this message that equated a joke against President Donald Trump made by Bill Maher with the joke she made against Valerie Jarrett:
Another tweet she reposted referenced an anti-Christian sentiment from Joy Behar of “The View.”
I’m calling on @ABCNetwork @Disney to uphold their "standards" by firing @JoyVBehar for calling Christians mentally ill. You can’t treat @therealroseanne one way because she supports @realDonaldTrump & allow Joy Behar to remain employed. #BoycottABC #StandWithRoseanne #Roseanne pic.twitter.com/5Y3FyhQ1OE
