A History Lesson for the ‘Trump Is Hitler’ Crowd

Leftists love to claim that President Trump is the reincarnation of Hitler and that he’s a Nazi, or maybe a fascist.  They never supply any facts to substantiate their claims. They seem to be immune to logic.

Yesterday, I visited the Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camp, where a million and a half Jews were murdered in a most vile demonstration of human depravity.  A new picture was driven home to me in a most forceful manner.

The master race theory that allowed the Germans to believe that their actions were acceptable was developed by American Democrat political philosophers.  Hitler’s Nazis were happy to see the theoretical constructs their American counterparts developed and astonished to see how far the American left wanted to take them.  The Holocaust now had its foundation.

But the master race idea was not the driving force for German conquest in the early days of the Third Reich.  The annexation of the Sudetenland from Czechoslovakia and the blitzkrieg of Poland were driven by claims that these regions were historically part of Germany and that they should return to German control to be inhabited only by Germans.  The name for this was “lebensraum,” or “living space.”

There was only one problem in Poland: the Poles.  As long as the Poles lived there, there wasn’t room for the Germans.  Master race theory gave them an excuse to eliminate the three million Jews who lived there as a step in the Final Solution.  The Waffen S.S. carried this task out with a vengeance, hampered only by lack of resources. They were half done when the Russians retook Poland.

Has Donald Trump considered anything that has even a vague resemblance to this?  Of course not.  But the leftists calling him “Hitler” actively support a group that bears an uncanny resemblance to the Nazis.  They are the so-called “Palestinians” and their allied Islamic groups.  And before anyone screams bloody murder, let us recall that bloody murder was central to the Waffen S.S. and is the hallmark of Islamic jihadis.

The Nazi justification for conquest and extermination was “lebensraum.”  What do Hamas and Islamic Jihad claim?  The “right of return.”  That’s exactly the same claim made by Hitler under the term lebensraum.  “It’s properly my land.  You have no right to it.  I’m going to take it by force.”

Hmmmm…. I wonder if there’s anything more.

Lebensraum required the forcible removal of the non-German inhabitants of the Sudetenland and Poland.  While the Germans focused on the Jews, using master race theory, they were not going to be content with just the Jews.  They murdered an equal number of Poles, Slavs, Gypsies, and Russians at Auschwitz.  The Final Solution was to be complete extermination of all non-Germans in Europe.  Fortunately, they didn’t get the time to carry it out.  Is there a parallel with the Islamists?  Hmmm…

Oh, yes.  Now I remember.  Not only do the jihadis want every Jew out of Israel; they want every Jew dead.  But they aren’t using master race theory.  They’re using “master religion theory.  The Nazis got close to master religion theory with their excuses about the Jews killing Jesus.  That meant that the Jews were guilty and should die.

Even though the term “ethnic cleansing” wasn’t used until the 1990s, that’s what Hitler was doing in Poland.  While Hamas and Islamic Jihad haven’t been able to achieve it, ethnic cleansing of Israel is their stated goal.  For anyone willing to read, it’s in black and white in their founding documents.  And just to drive the point home, to this day, they refuse to admit that Israel is a nation.  It’s referred to as the “occupying Zionist entity.”  Children are taught this lie in school, just as German children were taught lies about Jews.

What about the method of extermination?  We have to give the Nazis the nod for outright efficiency, but for brutality, little in the modern world matches the drowning, burning alive, and beheadings the Islamists choose and celebrate.

What about public support?  The German people, while not unanimous, overwhelmingly supported Hitler at first.  They bought into master race theory and lebensraum.  Any opposition was later exterminated.  Islamists are also overwhelmingly supported by their public.  In Gaza, all of the moderates have been similarly exterminated.

Nazis are, for all political intents and purposes, indistinguishable from Islamists.  Their goals and methods are nearly identical.  The ruthlessness with which those goals are achieved is comparable from one to the other.  In short, they are both to be thoroughly condemned.

At this point, we must return to the accusations against President Trump.  If he is the new Hitler, then it should be obvious that he supports Hamas and Islamic Jihad.  But when we look, we discover that President Trump has acted with great favor toward the nation of Israel and against Iran, the patron of the Islamists in the Middle East.  On the other hand, the left has taken up the Islamists’ cause.

The left, accompanied by the chorus in the Mainstream Legacy Media, takes every opportunity to accuse Israel of great crimes.  Islamist atrocities are ignored.  They refuse to admit that the West Bank is anything other than “occupied.”  Just like the Golan Heights, the west bank of the Jordan River all the way to Jerusalem is an essential part of the Jewish state.  It has been since 1968.  That’s longer than a number of uncontested modern states have existed.

Hitler claimed that Germany had been improperly ousted from Poland and Sudetenland.  The Islamists claim they were improperly ousted from Israel.  Do I hear more echoes?  The German public supported Hitler.  The American left and mainstream media support Hamas.  Did I mention that the American Left were the originators of master race theory?

The left created the philosophies that built the Nazi machine. The left has not changed since the Nazis were defeated.  Leftists still support the master race approach in the form of the Final Solution.  But this time, the Final Solution is to be administered by Islamists, not Germans.

The left has not changed.

Bill Kristol barks at the moon

Some #NeverTrumpers won’t quit. Indeed, so chained are they to their hurt pride and delusions, they can’t. Foremost among them is Bill Kristol, former editor of the Weekly Standard.

Speaking at a New Hampshire gathering of businessmen called “Politics and Eggs,” Mr. Kristol asserted that President Trump should be challenged in the 2020 GOP primary.   That in and of itself is not a bad idea. Clearing the air between opposing philosophies have value. In this instance, it would come about in two ways. First, it allows the president to expound on his successes and ongoing efforts to MAGA and contrast them with his opponents. On the other side of the coin, as the likes of Jeff Flake, John Kasich, Mitt Romney, or any of the other establishment Republican regulars drone on, they make promises that they either never intend or lack the fortitude to keep. Their schtick is so transparent, so tedious, so yesterday. At least with Trump in the mix, there is great entertainment value when the GOPe try their old boilerplate rhetoric on him face-to-face.

Kristol’s rationale for challenging Trump is from the Far Side. He admits the president’s approval rating is quite high — over 80-percent among Republicans. But Kristol says (hopes) that could change. And anyway, he feels Trump’s success and high approval ratings are only due to good luck. Kristol acknowledges that Trump could actually win the 2020 primary because: “He [Trump] could just get very lucky, that happens in life. People aren’t very good pitchers, but they pitch one very good game.” See, the 2016 election was the one good game Trump had in him. Now he’s spent.

According the Kristol, part of Trump’s good luck is that “he’s had a good economy, and we’ve avoided any real foreign-policy disasters.” Saying that Trump has had a good economy makes it sound as if Trump inherited the good times. Unfortunately, Kristol’s mind is so blinded by hatred of Trump that he can’t see that the good economy is the ‘effect’ and Trump is the ’cause.’ Same with avoiding foreign-policy disasters. Unlike some other #NeverTrumpers, Kristol is so niggling that he can give credit where credit is obviously due. Bad form, Bill.

And what would change Trump’s string of ‘good luck’ and drive the president’s approval ratings down to what Kristol thinks they should be. Why, nothing less than a blue wave in November. So yet again, this self-anointed definer of what conservatism should be is rooting for a Democrat victory in the critical upcoming election. Here, Kristol is like an Allied military planner in WWII who argued strenuously for the invasion of France to be at Pas-de-Calais. When the decision was made for the Normandy site instead, General Kristol hoped in all his heart that the June 6 invasion would turn into a fiasco just to prove himself right.

Topping it all off, who do you think would be Kristol’s man to take on Trump in 2020 Republican primaries? After declining the honor for himself (seriously), Mr. Weekly Standard said Ohio Governor John Kasich would be the most obvious and potentially formidable challenger. Given Kasich’s dismal outing in the 2016 primaries and his off-putting behavior since, this shows Kristol is hardly the political maven he fancies himself to be. He’s more like a toothless dog barking at the moon.

Kristol’s entire premise is that Trump can be taken by a challenger from the right. Think on that. Who, pray tell, is going to split the National Rifle Association, the military, rank-and-file first responders, and pro-life people from Trump? What potential challenger can draw white working-class former Democrats like Trump does? And more and more minorities can be expected to jump on the Trump bandwagon due to their record low unemployment rate. Kristol rhetoric says a conservative GOP must be open and inviting. These are code words for loose borders, high immigration, amnesty, foreign adventures, and adherence to the unfair trade arrangements of the past.

In the final analysis, Donald Trump is lucky to have enemies like Bill Kristol.

Louis Farrakhan: ‘Mr. Trump is destroying every enemy that was an enemy of our rise’

Louis Farrakhan, leader of the Nation of Islam movement, appears to have changed his opinion of Donald Trump since two years ago, when he warned black Americans: “If Donald Trump becomes president, he will take America into the abyss of hell.” Appearing on Chicago radio station WGCI, on a program titled “The Morning Takeover,” he stated that it may not have been the intent of this administration to help, but that Trump is destroying the enemies of the Nation of Islam. Included in this group are the Department of Justice and the FBI.

Farrakhan tweeted out a 2 minute video of this sort-of endorsement of Trump:

So far, there has been barely a ripple from the media over this shocking statement. I only came across it through a tweet from Republican Representative Steven Smith of Georgia.

Farrakhan promises more to come on his opinion of President Trump. It is far too soon to conclude that he is coming around to support the POTUS, but that is certainly a possibility. And his statement so far is enough to help a significant number of black voters to start questioning the taboo enforced by any black organizations against support for any Republicans. You can be sure that Democrats are worried sick.

Let’s restore Constitutional protections on U.S. college campuses!
OAKLAND, California — For the radicals inhabiting the bureaucracy of American higher education, U.S. Secretary of Education Betsy DeVos is a threat.

For years, these ‘educrats’ have built echo-chambers where speech codes, “safe spaces,” and inquisitions have replaced free speech and academic freedom.

Radical Dems Rising

Radical Dems Rising
Radical in-your-face left-wing candidates are gaining new electoral momentum in the already radical Democratic Party.

As Townhall’s Matt Vespa opines, far-left candidates have been making “a meal of the establishment, knocking off the more centrist candidates in primaries across the country.”

Antifa Website Calls for Violence Against Upcoming Pro-Life Demo, Urges Thugs Use ‘Same Force as at Nazi Rally’

Antifa Website Calls for Violence Against Upcoming Pro-Life Demo, Urges Thugs to Use ‘Same Force as at Nazi Rally’

Antifa is calling for violence against a pro-life rally outside Planned Parenthood in Washington next month, urging that peaceful demonstrators should be “met with the same force as a nazi rally or a white power gathering.”

The group Patriot Prayer has called for a peaceful demonstration outside the Planned Parenthood in Kent on June 9. The group has several speakers lined up to discuss why they believe the organization should be defunded.

The organizers have specifically called for those who attend not to harass any women who are going in or out.

“We are not there to harass any women coming or going, it is important to remain positive and to spread a good message,” the event page reads.

Planned Parenthood has a policy which asks that supporters do not stage counter demonstrations, However, arguably the largest Antifa website, It’s Going Down, has put out a call to action to treat the rally attendees as if they are Nazis or white supremacists. Those of us who have been watching Antifa counter protests over the past few years know that means violent assaults, vandalism, intimidation, and general chaos.

In their call to action, the anonymous Antifa author acknowledged Planned Parenthood’s policy of avoiding counter protests, but stated that as anarchists — they do not need to pay attention to that.

Planned Parenthood has a policy in place for supporters to ignore protesters at their sites. As anarchists, we know this is impossible and ‘avoidance politics’ is a particular brand of leftist cowardice,” the call to action states.

The website goes on to call on their readers to “crew up” and use force against the peaceful demonstration.

“This is a call to crew up, roll tight and organize to obstruct yet another targeted attack by Joey Gibson and his rabble of misogynist frat-boys. If we are to continue to call ourselves anti-fascists, these kinds of gendered attacks must be met with the same force as a nazi rally or a white power gathering.”

The post goes on to mock the more moderate liberals who oppose political violence and to team up with people who support it.

“Anarchists and anti-fascists in the Pacific Northwest have learned over the last year that the broader coalition of liberals and socialists who tend to show up to oppose public gathering of the Right are not friendly to tactics of direct action that stray out of the confines of ‘non-violence.’ They will provide no safe space or harbor for those of us willing to carry out direct action against this mob of pond scum, so it is imperative that anarchists and anti-fascists alike organize to keep ourselves safe and protected,” the website suggests.

The founder of Patriot Prayer, Joey Gibson, told the Gateway Pundit that Antifa always calls for violence against their rallies — but that he hasn’t actually seen them back it up since August when several thousand people gathered on for a “Rally Against Hate” in response to one of their events. The event was canceled after the city refused to issue a permit, but a handful of bold Trump supporters still showed up.

Footage from the scene captured shocking amounts of violence, including a Trump supporter being beaten with pipes and sticks.

Gibson explained that Antifa seem to be losing their effectiveness. Members of Patriot Prayer also now open carry.

“We will always be prepared, but we will never stand down,” Gibson said.

Trump: ‘We are not going to apologize for America’

Evoking memories of Ronald Reagan, Donald Trump addressed the graduating class of the Naval Academy, giving a full-throated defense of US history, saying “We are not going to apologize for America.”

Newsweek:

“Together there is nothing Americans can’t do, absolutely nothing,” Trump told 2018 graduates of the U.S. Naval Academy. “In recent years, and even decades, too many people have forgotten that truth. They’ve forgotten that our ancestors trounced an empire, tamed a continent, and triumphed over the worst evils in history.”

He added: “America is the greatest fighting force for peace, justice and freedom in the history of the world. We have become a lot stronger lately. We are not going to apologize for America. We are going to stand up for America.”

You didn’t really think Newsweek would let that pass unchallenged, did you?

Before Europeans arrived in what became the United States, Native Americans occupied the land but were forced to relinquish territory as the new Americans pushed westward as part of what was termed “manifest destiny.” In 1830, President Andrew Jackson signed the Indian Removal Act, which led to the deaths of thousands of Native Americans.

Reminds me of that scene in “Airplane II” where the gayish air traffic control operator was asked for an update from Robert Stack’s McCroskey for “absolutely everything that’s happened up till now.”

Jacobs: Well, let’s see. First the earth cooled. And then the dinosaurs came, but they got too big and fat, so they all died and they turned into oil. And then the Arabs came and they bought Mercedes Benzes. And Prince Charles started wearing all of Lady Di’s clothes. I couldn’t believe it.

Newsweek’s analysis of US history was about as sophisticated.

Trump previously caused controversy when he held an event honoring Native Americans in the Oval Office last November with a portrait of Jackson in the background. Trump has regularly praised Jackson, although at times with a questionable grasp of history. He has also repeatedly referred to Democratic Senator Elizabeth Warren, who has claimed Native American heritage,” as “Pocahontas.”

“A nation must have pride in its history to have confidence in its future,” Trump said Friday. The president’s comments mirrored a tweet he sent out in March celebrating National Agriculture Day.

“Our Nation was founded by farmers,” he wrote. “Our independence was won by farmers. And our continent was tamed by farmers. Our farmers always lead the way — we are PROUD of them, and we are DELIVERING for them! #NationalAgricultureDay.

Well, no, the president’s comments about agriculture did not “mirror” his patriotic sentiments, except in the sense that he was praising America and that’s a no no.

I get it. You simply can’t talk about America this way. How about slavery? How about racism? How about genocide? How about oppressing women, child labor, anti-immigrant bias, denying workers’ rights…?

Did I mention racism?

There is absolutely nothing wrong with celebrating America’s monumental achievements and it’s immensely positive impact on the human race without bringing up our many and varied sins. There is absolutely nothing wrong with pointing out American exceptionalism or our contributions to peace and freedom in the world.

These things are historical facts whether the left likes it or not. It speaks to the complexity of our history that these accomplishments exist side by side with our sins. But they do, and to highlight nothing but the negative without bringing up the positive is simple minded and juvenile.

Trump’s Reaganesque speech is exactly what those graduates needed to hear.

Trump makes it easier to fire deficient govt workers… finally

The latest executive order news coming out of the White House addresses some long overdue questions about government workers and their unions. Efforts to not only shrink the size of government but to remove ineffective or misbehaving workers have largely been stymied by union agreements which were crafted over decades with nobody at the bargaining table looking out for the taxpayer. Other goodies for the labor groups allowed most of their union work to be done on government time and using government resources. These executive orders will be changing some of those processes. (Government Executive)

President Trump issued a series of executive orders Friday that could gut federal employee unions’ ability to negotiate with agency leaders and represent workers, as well as reduce the time it takes for an agency to fire people for poor performance or misconduct.

Billed as the first step toward broad civil service reform, senior administration officials announced in a call with reporters on Friday afternoon three executive orders aimed at making it easier to fire poor performers and ordering harsher treatment of union representatives.

“Today, the president is fulfilling his promise to promote a more efficient government by reforming civil service rules,” said Andrew Bremberg, director of the president’s Domestic Policy Council. “Every year, the Federal Employee Viewpoint Survey shows that less than one third of federal employees believe poor performers are adequately addressed by their agency. These executive orders make it easier to remove poor performing employees, and ensure that taxpayer dollars are more efficiently used.”

Some of the biggest (and best) changes address policies which we’ve been carping about here for years. The first one shortens the period of Performance Improvement Plans (where the misbehaving or underperforming worker is given time to straighten up and fly right) to 30 days across all agencies. Under the old system, these PIPs could last up to half a year.

The next change really hits the motherload, though. Trump is clamping down on so-called “official time” where employees who are union officials can spend unlimited time doing union work while they are on the clock, sometimes doing zero work for the public. They also get to use offices and other government equipment for union work at no cost. Trump is clamping down on that, ordering that no union officials spend more than 25% of their work hours on union business and ordering a new agreement where the unions can use their own facilities or pay rent for using government offices. These changes are long, long overdue.

Already being called “a devastating blow” by some union supporters, opponents may be surprised to find that there probably isn’t much sympathy among the public for the status quo in government human resources management. This is particularly true for anyone who has spent any amount of time working in the private sector. In a normal job out in the real world, if you repeatedly screw up massively or are credibly accused of any serious malfeasance, odds are that you will be packing up your desk and heading for the parking lot before the end of the day. But as the Washington Times reported this week, one study after another shows that federal government workers are treated far differently than the rest of us. (Emphasis added)

Office of Personnel Management data shows federal employees are 44 times less likely to be fired than a private sector worker once they’ve completed a probationary period.

A recent Government Accountability Office report showed that it takes between six months and a year to remove a federal employee for poor performance, followed by an eight-month appeals process.

One official indicated some lower numbers for the average amount of time it takes to remove someone for poor performance or misbehavior, averaging close to 120 days. But that’s still months longer than what happens in the real world. And we’ve frequently seen discharged employees remaining on the payroll while an appeals process drags on for months or even years. What precisely makes these workers so much more “special” than everyone else? This should not be some sort of forbidden question when the taxpayers are the ones paying those wages.

The one thing missing from these executive orders was a fresh look at the Merit Systems Protection Board (MSPB). Originally designed as a safeguard against political retribution against career workers when different parties take control, the MSPB has morphed into a union tool to prevent most workers from ever being fired. The MSPB has overturned some truly jaw-dropping dismissals, including people found dealing drugs out of their office desk or spending the workday watching porn on their government computer instead of working. Since it was created through congressional action Trump couldn’t just do away with it entirely, but some measure of sanity should be possible to impose. Perhaps Trump will get around to the MSPB in the next round of EOs.

BOZELL & GRAHAM: Fox Beats Up On God

As the television season wraps up, it seems that Satan is having a bad year on Fox. The still-Rupert Murdoch-owned network canceled not only its devil drama “Lucifer” but also “The Exorcist,” which “blessed” us with anti-religious plots about sexually active gay and straight priests and mercy-killing nuns. It even waved goodbye to the sitcom “The Mick,” which routinely mocked religion as something only naive grade schoolers believe until they grow up to be “smart and progressive.”

Is Fox going soft? Rest easy, atheists. For people who want to ridicule God and those crazy believers, there is still Seth MacFarlane and “Family Guy,” which has been renewed for season 17. May 20 was Pentecost, the day Christians celebrate the Holy Spirit descending on the Apostles, and Fox was kicking the usual “comedic” dirt at the faithful.

In the episode, Peter Griffin, the title character, lapses into a coma and believes he’s stuck in an elevator with God. God says He’s incapable of getting out of the elevator. Later it turns out He is trying to decide whether Peter is going to heaven or hell. (MacFarlane’s God conveniently proclaims to Peter that atheists don’t go to hell but somehow the netherworld’s deepest torments are saved for people who say they are spiritual but not religious.)

When Peter asks God why He isn’t in Heaven, God uses the PR-speak of a Hollywood sexual abuser: “There was an issue. Uh, a few angels came forward. I don’t remember things exactly as they do, but I respect their experience.”

When God tells Peter he’s an “inattentive husband and a terrible parent,” Peter retorts, “Oh, says father of the year!” Responding to the reference of a somehow cruel God sacrificing Jesus for the forgiveness of sinners, God says: “Oh, please. He played that for all it was worth. ‘Why has Thou forsaken me?’ … I did Him a favor.”

At the end of the episode, God tells Peter that he succeeded because he uttered, “You were right about everything.” God then explains: “That’s what religion is. It’s not about being good or bad. It’s just blind subservience to an imaginary being.”

Count on Hollywood for a snarky, self-satisfied, secular sermon served in a Sunday-night cartoon.

An hour earlier, a milder mockery of religion showed up on “The Simpsons,” which has been renewed for season 30. In this story, young Bart Simpson is in a coma after being struck by lightning and is seeing ghosts. In his dream, his annoying and nerdy friend Milhouse finds him in a dark room surrounded by crosses and lit devotional candles. He asks: “What’s going on, Bart? Are you into God now? I always was.” He then holds up a crucifix and says of Jesus: “Look at those abs. The secret is less loaves, more fishes!” Bart replies, “I don’t believe in some dopey religion. This is to keep out ghosts.”

At the end of the episode, after recovering from his coma and somehow possessing new psychic powers, Bart foretells to Lisa how everyone they know will die. Sitting in a Buddhist cross-legged pose, Lisa utters her last words: “Oh, my God! Now I realize, this has all been a waste of time.”

That might be an apt summary of a life spent watching too many hours of Fox cartoons.
