Turkish President Tells EU Muslims to “Fight Your Way Into Power”…

Thankfully Muslims are very peaceful…no, wait?

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan condemned Europe’s treatment of Turks yesterday as he used a fiery speech to urge the continent’s Muslims to stand up and fight for their rights in “failing democracies.”
His call at a massed rally in Sarajevo, Bosnia was met by ringing cries of “Allahu akbar ” and “Sultan Erdogan” from thousands of expatriate Turks, the Times reports.

“The European countries that claim to be the cradles of democracy have failed,” he told 15,000 cheering members of the Turkish diaspora, many of whom had travelled from Germany, Austria and the Netherlands.

“European Turks must show their strength to the whole world,” he said. “You need to be in those parliaments instead of the ones who betray our country.

Hillsboro, OR Student Sues District Over Right To Wear Pro-Border Wall Shirt

Clashed with the Mexican flag shirts on Cinco De Mayo day.

A Liberty High School senior is suing his school, the principal and school district, claiming his First Amendment rights were violated when he was told by an administrator to go home or cover up a T-shirt that promoted President Donald Trump’s demand for a wall on the U.S.-Mexico border.

Addison Barnes is seeking an injunction stopping the Hillsboro School District from enforcing school dress codes “in a manner inconsistent with” the First Amendment and an order allowing him to wear the banned shirt to Liberty High School. The lawsuit, filed Friday in U.S. District Court in Portland, also seeks an undisclosed amount of money in damages.

The shirt’s logo: “Donald J. Trump Border Wall Construction Co.” Under the logo it said, “The wall just got 10 feet taller.”

Barnes wore the shirt sometime this school year to his first period “People and Politics” class, where immigration was going to be the topic of discussion, the lawsuit said. Assistant principal Amanda Ryan-Fear took Barnes out of the class and told him to cover the shirt because at least one other student and a teacher said they were offended by it.

Barnes covered the shirt and returned to class, but then decided to uncover it minutes later. Ryan-Fear sent a security guard to escort the teen from class to her office, the lawsuit said.

According to the court document, Ryan-Fear threatened Barnes with suspension for “defiance” and reiterated that he couldn’t wear the shirt because it offended students. Barnes was told to cover up the shirt for the rest of the day or go home. He chose to go home, the lawsuit said.

“This was unconstitutional,” the lawsuit said. “The First Amendment protects students’ right to speak on political or societal issues — including the right to express what school officials may consider unpopular or controversial opinions, or viewpoints that might make other students uncomfortable.”

Barnes’ decision to leave the school was initially noted as a suspension, but that was changed after Barnes and his father met with Ryan-Fear and Principal Greg Timmons a few days later. Barnes was told not to wear the shirt to school again or he could be subject to discipline, including suspension.

The shirt didn’t considerably disrupt or interfere with work at the school or the rights of other students, the lawsuit said. Barnes was trying to “comment on a national debate about a serious political and societal issue,” through his attire, according to the court papers.

The lawsuit said the school has allowed opposite viewpoints on immigration. One of Barnes’ teachers once displayed a sign in front of the classroom that said, “Sanctuary City, Welcome Home.”

ICE Chief Tells Democrat Lawmaker: Don’t Call Law Enforcement ‘Anti-Immigrant’ For Following Laws ‘You All Enacted’

That was then, this is now.

Via Washington Examiner:

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement chief Thomas Homan slammed a Democratic lawmaker during a House hearing Tuesday after she accused his agency of demonizing people who have illegally entered the country.

“We love to talk about this issue of MS-13 gangs. We love to paint immigrants as criminals. That is not the complete facts and that is very offensive for me to see continuing to happen,” Rep. Nanette Barragan, D-Calif., said during a House Homeland Security subcommittee hearing on border and maritime issues.

“It makes me sick to my stomach to keep hearing over and over again, painting the broad stroke and the picture as though these are folks who are coming here to do harm,” Barragan said.

Homan, who was not questioned following her remarks, asked for a chance to respond to Barragan’s initial statement.

“First of all, no one on this panel is anti-immigrant. We’re law enforcement officers enforcing the laws that you all enacted. So to sit there and say that we’re anti-immigrant is wrong. We are enforcing laws,” said Homan, acting ICE director. “If you think it’s OK to enter this country illegally — you shouldn’t be arrested, that’s just wrong. The laws clearly state, ‘You enter here illegally, it is a crime.’”

Somali Muslim Immigrants Stealing MILLIONS in Welfare from Minnesota
They came to the U.S. as supposed “refugees,” but now it has been discovered that a number of Somali immigrants are stealing hundreds of millions in American welfare money that they are literally shipping back to Africa stuffed in suitcases. Worse, the cash is going to fund the various Islamist terror armies there.

Dem Gun Confiscator Tacitly Admits Gun Control Wouldn’t Work

Dem Gun Confiscator Tacitly Admits Gun Control Wouldn’t Work
One of the more despicable Congress-critters is Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-Calif.), a man with utter contempt for Truth. He was on Tucker Carlson Tonight last evening pushing for confiscation of AR-type rifles and spinning like a dervish with rocket boosters. But let’s forget that while Swalwell wrote an op-ed calling for gun confiscation, it’s not really confiscation, according to Swalwell. Let’s forget that what he labels “assault weapons” are just semi-automatic rifles that happen to have a military-style appearance (much like putting a Porsche body on a Hugo chassis).

WATCH: Tomi Lahren Gives Perfect Response To Being Attacked At Restaurant

After video of classless restaurant patrons throwing a drink at her and screaming foul insults went viral, conservative commentator Tomi Lahren addressed the ugly incident on Fox News.

Speaking with “Fox & Friends” Wednesday morning, Lahren said that while she’s “a person too” and gets “humiliated and embarrassed” just like anyone else, the only people who will end up looking back on this in humiliation are the people who attacked her. “I think their parents raised them better,” she said.

The incident took place over the weekend while Lahren was having brunch with her parents in a restaurant in Minneapolis. A group of patrons at the restaurant approached Lahren and unloaded on her with a barrage of insults, including “b****,” “c***,” and “racist” and threw a glass of water at her. Videos of the incident, proudly posted by one woman who celebrated the actions of the people, went viral.

“We were just enjoying brunch after I did a show the night before,” Lahren told “Fox & Friends.” “Unfortunately, there was a group of people around my age that thought it would be funny to throw water at me and then start chanting profanity. And, again, it’s something that I’m not used to but really disheartening.”

Lahren noted that when one of the people threw water at her, it hit her mom, too. “This was something that was embarrassing for me and embarrassing for my family,” she said. “At the end of the day, I’m a person too, and I do get humiliated and embarrassed, just like anyone else. But I’m tough; my family’s tough. We can handle it.”

“I think that those who threw the water and that were plotting and laughing about it, wanted to get their 15 minutes of fame by making a video of me. I think, looking back, those are the people that are going to be embarrassed by their actions. I think their parents raised them better.”

She continued: “And, furthermore, you don’t have to like me, you don’t have to agree with my political opinions, but you don’t have the right to throw things at me. Is that the point we’ve gotten in this country, where you can’t agree with someone civilly without resorting to something like that? It’s really disheartening, but, again, I’m tough; I can handle it. There are those out there that might not have as thick as skin, and that’s the people that I worry about.”

The hosts pointed out that many on the other side of the political spectrum have come to her defense, including Kathy Griffin.

HOW TO DESTROY A MAJOR CITY: One Week After Passing Massive Head Tax, Seattle Democrats Consider Huge Property Tax Increase

One week after passing a head tax on major businesses located in Seattle, including Amazon, Microsoft and Starbucks, the Seattle City Council is now considering an enormous property tax on the people who work at those businesses. According to Q13 FOX, King County homeowners already saw a bump of 17 percent in their property taxes in 2017, but City Council members want property taxes increased even more:

Council members Lorena Gonzalez and Rob Johnson are sponsoring the measure, which states the council wants to lift the limit on regular property taxes in order to levy additional taxes… In 2014, Seattle voters approved a $58 million levy allowing low-income kids to go to preschool for free. Since 2015, the city says the program has allowed affordable or free preschool to 850 families. Now the city wants to send hundreds more to preschool. Mayor Jenny Durkan’s Office is also pushing to send high school graduates to community college for free.

The property tax would amount to, on average, more than another $250 per year for homeowners.

The homelessness problem in Seattle has continued to snowball (as John Stossel and Maxim Lott point out at Reason.com, Seattle’s building code is 745 pages, and the residential building code is another 685 pages); the Seattle City Council has focused far more on “road diets” – narrowing roads via bike lanes – than on the quality of traffic; King County has spent billions on useless light rail. But now they want to bust homeowners’ wallets again – after instituting a $15 minimum wage and a head tax.

This is how Leftist governance destroys thriving major cities. First, you create building codes. That raises rents. Then you increase minimum wage to compensate. That drives out small businesses. Then you tax the big businesses to compensate. So they leave. Then you tax homeowners to compensate. So they leave. Eventually, bad governance based on good intentions crushes growth. But so long as members of the Seattle City Council feel good about themselves, that’s what truly matters.

Trump Admin. Plans to Keep Cutting Burdensome Regulations

BY:

The Trump administration is set for another year of regulation trimming, according to federal “regulatory czar” Neomi Rao, who outlined her office’s Spring 2018 agenda for regulatory actions to the Free Beacon.

Rao is the Administrator of the Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs (OIRA), which has since the Clinton administration been responsible for managing federal regulations with a significant economic or political impact. Twice a year, OIRA releases an agenda for expected regulatory and deregulatory actions, culled from the proposals of other executive branch offices.

“This spring agenda shows that this administration is well on its way to having another very strongly deregulatory year. There are a lot of new deregulatory actions from the agencies, and we expect that those are going to result in some pretty substantial cost savings,” Rao said.

Deregulation has been a major priority of the current administration since day one. Shortly after taking office, President Donald Trump signed an executive order on “Reducing Regulation and Controlling Regulatory Costs.” Therein, Trump expressly stipulated that for every new regulation issued, two previously created regulations would need to be cut.

Rao, who previously founded and ran the Center for the Study of the Administrative State at George Mason University, was brought on as administrator of OIRA to carry out Trump’s vision. By all accounts, she has been successful at trimming the size of the bureaucracy: The White House estimated that in its first year it cut 22 regulations for every new one it imposed. This saved taxpayers eight billion dollars over fiscal year 2017 alone, Rao said.

This rollback was a total about-face from the Obama administration, the Free Beacon’s Elizabeth Harrington noted, which issued a regulation every three days.

“If you look historically across administrations of both parties, regulatory costs have increased over time. This is a dramatic turn around. We’re changing the ordinary inertia at agencies that just favor more regulation,” Rao said.

According to Rao, the new deregulatory agenda focuses on several key areas. Infrastructure, a key priority of the administration, is front and center, with much proposed deregulation focusing on easing environmental burdens on new infrastructure projects. These include regulatory changes under the Clean Water Act and National Environmental Policy Act, as well a proposal from the nuclear regulatory commission to ease the licensing process for new nuclear reactors.

In addition, the administration intends to pursue deregulatory actions that will encourage private initiative in technological innovation. The Department of Transportation is expected to float new rules about drones, expanding the bounds on air space they can use. Additionally, Rao expects to see deregulation in the private space flight industry, likely a response to major strides by firms like SpaceX.

The Trump administration’s deregulatory actions are at least in part responsible for the soaring stock market and record-high job market optimism. The New York Times conceded as much in January, noting that, “A wave of optimism has swept over American business leaders … the newfound confidence was initially inspired by the Trump administration’s regulatory pullback, not so much because deregulation is saving companies money but because the administration has instilled a faith in business executives that new regulations are not coming.”
