CNN agape as their poll shows Trump approval jumping to 11 month high
I would love to have been in the CNN newsroom when these numbers came in. They’ve burned months of airtime on scandal after scandal, negative story and negative story, all in an endless quest to make the country despise Donald Trump. You’re supposed to hate him. He’s supposed to disgust you. His approval numbers are supposed to be down in the low 20s.  Heck, he was supposed to be impeached by now.

Democrats DESPERATELY Trying To Form Own Tea Party; There’s Just One Problem …

This is both sad and hilarious.

………………………………… ……………………………………………………. ………………………………………………….. ……………………

………………………………… ……………………………………………………. ………………………………………………….. ……………………

In one of the most pathetic columns written in recent times, former House Rep. Steve Israel, who as a reminder stepped down from office in January, lay the Democrat’s future (or lack thereof) in the hands of the fictional “Teen Party” he envisions in his deluded head.

And no, he didn’t mean a gathering of rambunctious teens chugging on Kool-Aid and snacking on Doritos as they bond over their shared dislike of Coach Balbricker.

The former congressman meant Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School mass shooting survivor David Hogg and other teens just like him, whose energy at the disturbingly demagogic “March for Our Lives” over the weekend Israel apparently found uber inspiring.

So inspiring, in fact, it reminded him of the Tea Party that helped propel the historic wave that allowed Republicans to recapture the House in 2010:

Now, we see it again, only in hard reverse. Not a Tea Party, but a Teen Party. Not in the diatribe of pundits, but in 11-year-old Naomi Wadler’s captivation of her audience at a rally on Saturday. In the thousands of voters drawn to rallies by the energy of children too young to vote. In the hand-drawn signs and the spontaneous chants of “vote them out” that I heard at a rally in Huntington, Long Island, that attracted more than 1,000 people.  …

Um, signs like this, you mean (H/T RedState)?

“Something powerful is in the air when a discussion of ‘midterms’ at the kitchen table isn’t about school exams but about elections,” Israel continued.

He concluded by arguing that if “the Teen Party, like the Tea Party, ramps up town hall meetings, channels their energy and masses in districts that matter, vulnerable Republicans will find themselves in a perilous place — on the wrong side of energy, and maybe of history as well.”

So let me get this straight: This doofus’ plan for electoral victory entails allowing a bunch of Tide Pod-eating teenyboppers who’re ignorant of the most basic facts to rally a base of grown adults (who in an ideal world would know better) against Republicans?

I don’t mean to be so rough in my language, but these are children. The guy seriously cited the purported wisdom of an an 11-year-old to back his argument, for Pete’s sake.

While I love children and wish them the best luck on Earth, I also recognize that they’re not emotionally or intellectually mature enough to handle what awaits them in the game of politics. Especially given that the chances of their efforts engendering anything meaningful are quite low, as noted over the weekend by Carl Arbogast over at RedState.

“[T]hose same pundits are hoping that thousands of teenagers will carry the day for them. They get on television and say, ‘This is a movement that won’t get stopped.’ They’re lying to these kids,” Arbogast opined.

“That assault weapons ban some people so badly want to pass? It’s not happening. And members of Congress who vote against it will not lose. People should tell these kids the truth. They’re going to be disappointed and it’s going to be worse when they come to the realization that people like Shannon Watts and Charles Schumer were blowing smoke up their rear ends.”

Indeed.

These leftists, including Israel, are setting these kids up for a disappointment they don’t deserve. Let me tell you something. As a hardcore politics aficionado, I experience disappointment all the time. It’s part of the lifestyle.

But could kids handle this sort of disappointment? How about Hogg? He’s almost an adult, yet he frequently lashes out in profanity-ridden rants like an overly emotional fool. How would he handle learning that millions of Americans don’t see eye to eye with him?

Newsflash at former Rep. Steve Israel: These kids aren’t ready to lead your crazy movement, dude. They’re just kids.

Am I against them expressing their opinions? Not at all. But I do take umbrage to the notion that they should be recruited into a “Teen Party” to lead the Democrat Party toward the future.

Not only do I believe they still have a lot more to learn, but I strongly feel that the only “Teen Party” kids should be involved with are those that serve Kool-aid and Doritos!

Facebook Engineer: Users Having ‘Stupid’ Reaction to Our Quietly Taking Their Personal Data

An anonymous Facebook engineer is going viral in all the wrong ways after a writer accused him of calling users’ concerns over privacy “stupid” and saying that since they checked a box allowing the social media giant to use the data, they oughtn’t to be annoyed that the data was sold to third parties.

The email was put up on social media by Tom Warren, a senior editor at The Verge, a tech publication. Warren recently wrote an article which dealt with Android users’ phone histories being stored by Facebook.

“Facebook has been collecting call records and SMS data from Android devices for years,” Warren wrote.

“Several Twitter users have reported finding months or years of call history data in their downloadable Facebook data file. A number of Facebook users have been spooked by the recent Cambridge Analytica privacy scandal, prompting them to download all the data that Facebook stores on their account.”

Conservative Tribune Daily Email

Thanks For Subscribing!

Warren also noted that users “found a similar pattern where it appears close contacts, like family members, are the only ones tracked in Facebook’s call records.”

He noted that iOS devices appear to be unaffected.

While outrage grew on social media, some wondered what all the fuss was about — like Facebook software engineers.

“Your post of fb collecting call history and sms text is pretty dirty,” the engineer supposedly told Warren

“You’re turning a messenger/fb feature into a smear campaign. The app clearly ask (sic) for permission to read these data. Your article takes stupid audience reaction and spin it as a controversy. I think that’s pretty messed up. That’s like people freaking over what they signed in an App EULA and making a big deal about it later. I am a huge fan of the verge but this article is a low blow to fb and you know it. I expected better from you.”

An EULA, for those who aren’t familiar with the parlance of the tech industry, is the “end user license agreement.” That’s the process by which you check a box at the end of a long list of legalese essentially agreeing to the terms that the app or product sets out in said list.

As we all know, everyone reads those terms very carefully and can understand them — right?

Has Facebook lost your trust?

RELATED: More Individuals Horrified, Begin Finding Everything FB Took Off Their Phones

“It’s clear even Facebook employees don’t understand why people are surprised the company even needs to collect call history and SMS data,” Watson wrote.

This is the problem when the cloistered environment of Silicon Valley meets the kind of product that Facebook is providing. As has been made clear a million times, when it comes to Facebook, you are the product. You create reams of data and can be marketed to. That’s how Facebook stays in business.

Cambridge Analytica may have put a spotlight on this, but the fact is that the social media giant has apparently been abusing this trust for quite some time now.

There is a delicate balance for any social media product like this: to remain free, it must have some way to sustain itself, and that will usually involve marketing or sharing of data. The point is for the product to remain trustworthy and upfront about its motives.

Facebook has not passed this test — and this software engineer just proved why in a major way.

Democratic Lawmakers Introduce Bill Requiring Background Checks . . . On Ammunition Buyers

Chris Rock used to do a great bit on gun control.

The comedian joked that America doesn’t need gun control, it needs “bullet control.”

“I think all bullets should cost $5,000,” he said to laughter. “$5,000! ‘Cuz you know why? If a bullet cost $5,000, there’d be no more innocent bystanders!”

Now a pair of Democratic lawmakers are making the very same proposal — but they’re not joking.

Sen. Richard Blumenthal (D-CT) and Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-FL) on Monday introduced a bill, known as the Ammunition Background Check Act of 2018, that they said will help close a “loophole” in the current law.

“Ammunition sales should be subject to the same legal requirements as firearm sales, and that includes instant background checks. … Closing this ludicrous loophole is a common-sense component of a comprehensive strategy to reduce gun violence,” Blumenthal said.

Schultz added that it is “common-sense legislation” that would close an “absurd loophole.” “Studies show it can help keep ‘bad guys with guns’ from perpetrating another mass slaughter like the one we witnessed at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in my Broward County community, or the thousands of other acts of gun violence that devastate communities across the country,” she said in a statement.

The bill would require federally licensed firearms dealers to perform a background check through the National Instant Background Check System on all ammunition buyers. Two states with the most restrictive gun laws in the country — California and New York — already require background checks for ammo. Coincidentally (or not), California had 1,275 gun murders in 2015 — the most in the U.S. — and New York was sixth with 383 gun murders.

“It takes more than just a gun to take an innocent life. It also takes bullets,” said Schultz, who has an “F” rating from the National Rifle Association. “We need to do all we can to make sure neither of them ends up in the wrong hands.”

And unlike Rock, she’s not kidding.

Planned Parenthood: We Need A Disney Princess Who’s Had An Abortion

When the lovely folks over at taxpayer-funded abortion mill Planned Parenthood aren’t snuffing out life and haggling over prices of body parts for the lucrative business, they get “woke” on social media.

In a Twitter post on Tuesday, Planned Parenthood Keystone listed off new demands for future Disney princesses, including one who’s had her unborn child killed in the womb.

“We need a disney (sic) princess who’s had an abortion,” read the post, adding, “We need a disney (sic) princess who’s pro-choice.”

Instead of teaching our youth to stand up for the voiceless and celebrate true diversity, Planned Parenthood wants our children to be desensitized to the death of the innocent, especially those with abnormalities whom they deem unworthy of life — in the name of feminism, of course.

And this is not even shocking. This is modern day Western feminism in a nutshell. Forget the (deceitful) days of “safe, legal, and rare,” abortion is “empowering.” Just ask the #ShoutYourAbortion crowd. To Planned Parenthood and company, female empowerment is to be achieved by signaling to young girls that your own pursuits outweigh the right to life of another, that killing your own unborn child is not an unholy fatal act, but a worthy and commendable feminist sacrament.

There are so many unanswered questions about the prospects of Abortion Princess, though. Will the devices used to perform abortions be included, like forceps and the manual vacuum aspiration used to dismember and suck out the child? Will we get a breakdown of the costs of the procedure? How about the value PP got for the “fetal tissue”? Will the physical and emotional scars so often left for the women who’ve had an abortion be acknowledged?

As noted by Daily Wire Editor-in-Chief Ben Shapiro, what we really need is “Disney princess who uses her royal authority to defund you stupid a**holes.”

The Planned Parenthood affiliate has since deleted their vile tweet, because they are not only evil, they are cowardly, too. Here’s a screenshot:

Al Sharpton’s Brother Charged in Shooting Murder — ONE DAY After Participating in Anti-Gun March

Al Sharpton’s Brother Charged in Shooting Murder — ONE DAY After Participating in Anti-Gun March

Rev. Kenneth Glasgow was charged in shooting murder the day after he participated in the local anti-gun march.

Rev. Kenneh is Al Sharpton’s half-brother from Alabama.

Al Sharpton’s brother was driving the car when Jamie Townes reportedly shot Brunia Jennings and killed her while she was driving.

Local WKRG reported:

On Sunday, March 25th at approximately 10:50 p.m., Dothan Police Officers responded to a suspicious vehicle at Stringer Street A.M.E. Church, 1900 Stringer St., while officers were in the area they discovered a wrecked vehicle at the intersection of Lake St. and Allen Road.

One of those vehicles was occupied by Ms. Breunia Jennings, 23, of Dothan. Ms. Jennings was pronounced dead at the scene. Her cause of death was a gunshot wound.

Several people at the scene were detained and taken to the Dothan Police Department for interviews. After interviews were completed Jamie Emmanuel Townes, 26, of S. St. Andrews St., Dothan AL was arrested for Capital Murder. A “no bond” has been issued.

Also arrested for Capital Murder was Pastor Kenneth Sharpton Glasgow, 52, of W. Powell St., Dothan. A “no bond” has been issued in this case.

Rev. Glasgow worked with inmates. Now he is one.

The Washington Examiner reported:

The half-brother of Rev. Al Sharpton, also an activist whose group participated in Saturday’s anti-gun March For Our Lives, has been charged in a Sunday shooting death in Dothan, Ala.

Dothan police said that Rev. Kenneth Glasgow was the driver in a car linked to the murder of 23-year-old Breunia Jennings of Dothan by passenger Jamie Townes, 26.

Dothan Police Chief Steve Parrish said that Glasgow and Townes allegedly searched for Jennings, who they believe had stolen Townes’ car. When they found her, Townes allegedly shot Jennings as she drove, hitting her in the head. She died later.

“Instead of him notifying law enforcement, he took matter in his own hands and jumped in Mr. Glasgow’s vehicle to find Breunia Jennings,” said Parrish, according to a report in the Dothan Eagle.

While police do not believe Glasgow, 52, was the triggerman, under Alabama’s aiding and abetting law, he is is culpable for murder.

Dothan is about 110 miles south of Montgomery, Ala.

Rev. Glasgow is a Democrat.

#BrowardCoward Backs Out of Debating Kashuv, Issues Baffling Excuse

It’s right out of the liberal playbook.

One of the Florida teenagers who’s achieved celebrity status by spewing insults at “pathetic” Second Amendment supporters is backing away from a clash over gun rights with a fellow student.

It’s the act of a coward, pure and simple. But the reason he gave has a holier-than-thou hypocrisy that’s impressive – even for high school.

At issue was a proposed debate between Kyle Kashuv, a Marjory Stoneman Douglas student who has emerged as one of the few voices of sanity after last month’s shootings at the Broward County, Florida, school and Cameron Kasky, another Stoneman Douglas “survivor” and an organizer of the weekend’s anti-gun demonstration in Washington.

After at first seeming to agree to the confrontation, Kasky backed out Monday night – claiming that Kashuv is simply too “low” to share a stage with, because of a Twitter post Kashuv wrote in response to another student.

Conservative Tribune Daily Email

Thanks For Subscribing!

“Kyle, I’ve enjoyed my discussion about gun laws with you so far, but after seeing this, I think I’m out. For personal reasons,” Kasky wrote to Kashuv. “I disagree on certain policies with some family members of some victims, but I never go after them, especially not like this. This is low.”

And what was it that sent this budding Obama-ite to his fainting couch?

Without getting too far into the weeds of a Twitter dispute (Fox News covers it here), it boils down to Kasky claiming Kashuv isn’t being civil enough to those who disagree with him.

Now, even if the toxic teenagers of Parkland had been gentle as lambs in the past few weeks, that would be nonsense. But the reality is that Kasky and his fellow teen idols from Stoneman Douglas have been anything but civil since they leaped onto the public stage in the shooting aftermath.

Do you think this debate will ever happen?

Intoxicated with fawning media attention, they’ve shown no compunction about branding gun rights supporters – and especially National Rifle Association supporters – as de facto mass killers, every one of them equivalent to the 19-year-old maniac who ended 17 lives at Stoneman Douglas Feb. 14.

David Hogg, the poster boy for the young Florida fascists, called politicians who accept donations from the NRA “pathetic f***ers that want to keep killing our children” in one interview. He called the NRA “child murders” in another.

Kasky himself, in an interview with NPR last week, was just as bad. Asked how he would respond to students who favored gun rights, he basically called every gun owner a murderer.

“Well, I say we’re marching to protect you from other people like you who have guns,” he said. “And I say that target shooting, while it is a sport, we’ve become the targets.”

RELATED: Watch: Dem. Sheriff Candidate Caught on Tape Agreeing To Kill Legal Gun Owners

And these are the people who claim that Americans who believe in the United States Constitution are not civil enough to debate in a public forum?

No one believes that. And no one will mistake Kasky’s sudden unwillingness to debate as an act of courage, when it’s really cowardice.

The facts of the matter are that gun grabbers lack the legal, constitutional or moral high ground in any conversation – which is why they resort to emotional appeals over logical ones. Having one of their teen spokesman getting his clock cleaned in a nationally televised debate is the last thing the gun grabbers want right now. (Their idea of a “debate” is more like CNN’s ludicrous “town hall meeting” where Kasky likened Florida Sen. Marco Rubio to the Parkland gunman, to Rubio’s face.)

Again, it can’t be stressed enough that these Parkland loudmouths are not the real problem. They’re pawns in a liberal attack on the Constitution that goes back long before any American living today was born – much less one who’s still in high school.

But they’re carrying out liberal tactics to a “t,” and part of that is attacking opponents by claiming they’re not being civil enough. (Saul Alinsky Rule No. 4: “Make the enemy live up to its own book of rules.”)

The reality of past decades of political history in the United States is exactly the opposite – that it’s liberals who engage in violence and personal attacks on a mass scale.

If anything, conservatives have been too restrained. One of the main reasons Donald Trump won the Republican primaries, then the presidency, is that he fights back against the left with the weapons it chooses.

The mainstream media is likely to play Kasky’s about-face on a gun-rights debate as an example of the high-mindedness of the gun control cause, not the coward’s turn that it is.

But it’s baffling that the left could think normal Americans could believe Kasky’s excuse, because those plays aren’t working anymore.

Media Research Center Announces ‘Fact-Checking the Fact-Checkers’ Project

RESTON, VA – The Media Research Center (MRC) on Tuesday announced its new project Fact-Checking the Fact-Checkers. As major news outlets increasingly rely on leftist “fact-checkers” to verify the credibility of news, the MRC will ensure the fact-checkers themselves are reliable, or exposed as liberal partisans if they aren’t.

While fact-checking the accuracy of news is needed, often it is used as a medium to push a political agenda. Many fact-checking groups routinely cast judgments while failing to disclose their own liberal bias, and the public is on to it. According to a 2016 Rasmussen poll, an astonishing 62 percent of American voters believe fact-checkers are biased.

Some of the fact-checkers the MRC will monitor include PolitiFact.com, FactCheck.org, Snopes.com, Washington Post Fact Checker, AP Fact Check and CNN Fact Check.

Fact-Checking the Fact-Checkers will give the public the facts and bring accountability to the so-called “fact-checkers.”

Media Research Center President Brent Bozell issued the following statement Monday announcing the project:

“In an era of “fake news” and inaccurate reporting, it is important now more than ever that the fact-checkers themselves are exposed for their biases. MRC routinely finds instances when fact-checkers bend the truth or disproportionately target conservatives. We are assigning our own rating to their judgments and will expose the worst offenders. Americans deserve the truth. There must be accountability across the board, and that includes these alleged arbiters of fact and fiction.”

First Tucker, Now Jesse Watters Savages David Hogg in Front of Entire Country

First, Tucker Carlson revealed why Parkland activist David Hogg shouldn’t be used as a puppet by the media and shouldn’t be influencing public policy. Now, Jesse Watters has become the latest Fox News personality to criticize the shooting survivor turned anti-gun activist.

On Monday’s edition of “The Five,” Watters said that attention had turned Hogg from a rational participant in the national debate over firearms to the point where he had “become a real bomb thrower.”

“He started off — and I’ve seen him on Fox News — he started off as this balanced, nice kid who was reporting the facts about what were happening at the school,” Watters said.

“And he’s just now become a real bomb thrower. And someone like this I think isn’t helping the conversation.”

Conservative Tribune Daily Email

Thanks For Subscribing!

In fact, Watters says that activists like Hogg have poisoned the well by balkanizing the gun control debate.

“This guy makes people think, ‘You’re coming for my guns,’” Watters said.

“You’re gonna say that Rubio has blood on his hands because he takes money from the NRA? Maybe he takes money from the NRA because he supports the Second Amendment.”

“It would be more scandalous if the NRA was buying off Democrats and they were voting for legislation even though they didn’t believe in it,” he continued. “So, that doesn’t make any sense to me.”

Do you think Jesse Watters is right?

Watters also noted that “all these people are being protected by heavily armed security guards, and that’s fine.” He noted that these guards, like most gun owners, possess their firearms legally — something the Parkland shooter shouldn’t have been able to do in an ideal situation.

“In this particular situation the guy had a rifle because the Bill of Rights said an 18 year old with no criminal record can have a rifle,” Watters said. “And it was the police, and the school, and the FBI — those were the people that failed. Let’s just take a broader look, and not just target the NRA.”

Watters remarks came days after Carlson attacked Hogg in the run-up to the “March for Our Lives.”

“Sell more guns, murder more children, get re-elected. That is David Hogg’s view of the other side of the debate,” Carlson said Friday.

RELATED: #BrowardCoward Backs Out of Debating Kashuv, Issues Baffling Excuse

“Let’s take this seriously. If you honestly don’t care what the people who disagree with you think, if you believe they want to ‘murder more children,’ who are you?” he continued.

“Well, you’re angry. You’re definitely not fit to be making policy for the rest of us. You are by definition an extremist. You should not have power if you really believe anyone who disagrees with you is evil and wants to kill the innocent.”

Alice Cooper Says His Christian Faith Saved Him from Alcoholism

Alice Cooper Says His Christian Faith Saved Him from Alcoholism

Veteran rock singer-songwriter Alice Cooper was born into the church but nearly died living outside of it.

The moment of truth for Cooper came forty years ago, after the rock star drank so much he began throwing up blood.

“Everything that could go wrong was shutting down inside of me,” Cooper, told the New York Daily News’ Confidential.

“I was drinking with Jim Morrison and Jimi Hendrix and trying to keep up with Keith Moon and they all died at 27,” Cooper explained.

That awakening made Cooper realize that he needed to change his ways. Specifically, it led him back to the church.

“My wife and I are both Christian,” Cooper, who is portraying King Herod in Jesus Christ Superstar, told Confidential. “My father was a pastor, my grandfather was an evangelist. I grew up in the church, went as far away as I could from it — almost died — and then came back to the church.”

Having lived as both a rock star and a Christian, Cooper has an appreciation for why some people might see a contradiction in claiming to be both.

“There’s nothing in Christianity that says I can’t be a rock star,” he explained. “People have a very warped view of Christianity. They think it’s all very precise and we never do wrong and we’re praying all day and we’re right wing. It has nothing to do with that. It has to do with a one-on-one relationship with Jesus Christ.”

Cooper, who played the role of King Herod once before in 1996, says that he drew his inspiration for the part from Alan Rickman’s portrayal of Professor Snape in Harry Potter.

“When I first heard about it, I thought Alan Rickman — that condescending sort of arrogant character —  and I kind of fashioned what I would do after what I thought Alan Rickman would do if he were alive,” Cooper said.

Copper and his wife Sheryl Goddard have been married for 41 years, a union in which neither has ever cheated on the other. Cooper shared his secret for marital bliss with Fox News in 2017.

Cooper said, “First of all, marry the girl you are in love with. That’s the important thing. Don’t just marry the girl that you love.”
