Two days after impeachment vote, Pelosi invites Trump to give 2020 State of the Union address

Just a couple of days after the House of Representatives’ votes to impeach President Donald Trump, Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., invited him to give his 2020 State of the Union address in early February.

In the very brief Friday letter inviting the president to give the annual update to Congress on how the country is doing, Pelosi framed her invitation as one made out of duty to the Constitution and the federal system it lays out.

“In their great wisdom, our Founders crafted a Constitution based on a system of separation of powers: three co-equal branches acting as checks on each other,” Pelosi wrote.

“To ensure that balance of powers, the Constitution calls for the President to ‘from time to time give to the Congress Information of the State of the Union,’” the speaker continues. “In the spirit of respecting our Constitution, I invite you to deliver your State of the Union address before a Joint Session of Congress on Tuesday, February 4, 2020 in the Chamber of the U.S. House of Representatives.”

White House principal deputy press secretary Hogan Gidley said Friday afternoon that the president had accepted the invitation.

The date, a Tuesday, puts the annual address just a day after the Iowa caucuses, which are slated for February 3 and will be the first official statewide contest of the 2020 presidential primaries.

The early February date also makes it possible that the president could give his address while in the middle of a Senate trial over his impeachment, which is what former President Bill Clinton did in 1999. Pelosi has not yet committed to a timetable for sending the articles of impeachment over to the Senate, citing concerns about whether or not the terms of a trial would be “fair,” which has resulted in uncertainty about what the upper chamber’s trial timeline will look like.

Last year, Trump’s State of the Union Address was delayed by the 35-day partial government shutdown, when he agreed with Pelosi’s request to wait to speak until temporarily closed portions of the federal government had been reopened.

Missing Surveillance Footage Near Jeffrey Epstein’s Jail Cell Has Been Found

Prosecutors have told a judge that missing security footage from outside deceased pedophile Jeffrey Epstein’s New York City prison cell has been located, CNBC reported Friday.

Prosecutors said the video had been “preserved” by Metropolitan Correctional Center (MCC) at a prior request from attorneys for Epstein’s previous cellmate, according to the news outlet. The cellmate, accused killer and former police officer Nicholas Tartaglione, claims he helped save Epstein’s life after the disgraced financier attempted suicide on July 23.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York said in a Thursday court filing that prosecutors “confirmed with MCC [jail] staff that the Video was preserved by MCC staff upon defense counsel’s request in July 2019.”

“The Government is in the process of obtaining a copy of the Video from the MCC. Once the Government obtains a copy of the Video, the Government intends to make it available for defense counsel’s review at the United States Attorney’s Office,” the prosecutors added.

Earlier this week, Assistant U.S. Attorney Jason Swergold told a White Plains District Court that the footage had gone missing.

“It is on the surface troubling,” said Bruce Barket, an attorney for Tartaglione, at the time.

The development was first reported by the New York Daily News.

Epstein hung himself in a second cell on August 10 while awaiting trial for child sex trafficking charges. In November, two Bureau of Prisons guards were charged with conspiracy and filing false records over their actions the evening the once high-flying investor died.

“The [guards] had a duty to ensure the safety and security of federal inmates in their care,” Manhattan U.S. Attorney Geoffrey Berman said. “Instead, they repeatedly failed to conduct mandated checks on inmates, and lied on official forms to hide their dereliction.”

Epstein’s cell was just 15 feet from the guards’ desks, the indictment said. Prosecutors said they filed the false paperwork the afternoon of August 9, a few hours before security cameras showed Epstein escorted to his cell. Tova Noel and Michael Thomas filed another false count a short time later, the charges say, and Epstein was found dead early the next morning.

According to the 20-page indictment, Noel walked past Epstein’s cell a final time at 10:30 p.m., before the guards filed three more false headcounts. Guards are supposed to perform headcounts every 30 minutes.

The Gateway Pundit and Epoch Times Banned by Wikipedia Over Truthful Reporting on Ukraine and Russia Hoax

T. D. Adler at Breitbart News today reported the Wikipedia blacklists now include The Epoch Times and The Gateway Pundit for our truthful reporting on Russiagate.

China critics the Epoch Times and conservative outlet the Gateway Pundit have been banned from use as reliable sources on Wikipedia in the latest cases of news outlets that support President Trump being banned from the online encyclopedia. The Epoch Times ban proposal cited NBC’s hit piece on the site over its coverage of improprieties in the Russia investigation, commonly called Spygate, which prompted smear efforts against the outlet on Wikipedia. Gateway Pundit was proposed for a ban shortly after Epoch Times.

The Epoch Times Wikipedia ban proposal was apparently prompted by one of its articles being cited on the Wikipedia page for Joseph Mifsud, a key controversial figure in the origins of the discredited Russia investigation. Gateway Pundit’s ban was in response to the outlet being cited for past media silence over Ukrainian interference in the 2016 election.

Over the past year, Wikipedia editors have been on a banning spree targeting conservative news sources. Having previously banned the Daily Mail as a source, the following year marked the beginning of an acceleration of the process. Since then, editors have imposed similar bans on fifteen other sites aside from Epoch Times and Gateway Pundit. While some data-focused sites and state-owned outlets in Venezuela and Iran have also been banned, the bulk of the sites banned have been conservative-leaning news outlets. Breitbart News was blacklisted as a “reliable source” on Wikipedia in 2018…

…Gateway Pundit’s ban came from a proposal soon after the proposed ban for Epoch Times. The ban proposal came in response to editor “BullRangifer” removing a 2017 piece criticizing media silence on Ukraine colluding with Democrats to influence the 2016 election. The article was originally added to frame Gateway Pundit as “fueling conspiracy theories” related to the impeachment inquiry over Trump’s call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. In fact, the piece correctly noted Politico’s coverage of DNC contractor Alexandra Chalupa soliciting Ukrainian interference and then-Democratic minority leader of the House Intelligence Committee Adam Schiff expressing concerns about the reported interference.

Criticism of Gateway Pundit was harsher during the ban discussion, though still predominantly from left-wing editors. Some regarded the outlet as unreliable, but argued against a full sourcing ban as they believed some legitimate uses may exist. In addition to Simonm223, who also voted for the ban, editors advocating a ban included “Snooganssnoogans” and “Volunteer Marek” who each have a history of smearing the outlet on Wikipedia.

Editor “Snoogansnoogans” previously added a description to Gateway Pundit’s Wikipedia article stating the site “is known for publishing falsehoods and spreading hoaxes.” Marek a year later labeled the outlet a “fake news website” and each description persists to this day in some way despite initially not being based on any sources considered “reliable” on Wikipedia. However, those labels and descriptions subsequently made their way to major media outlets. Those outlets were later cited to back up the material on Wikipedia, in an apparent “citogenesis” case, referring to a form of circular sourcing.

Wikipedia, a very far left outlet has been censoring, targeting and smearing The Gateway Pundit for years.

In June as US President Donald Trump touched down in London on his first official state visit to Britain Wikipedia founder Jimmy Wales tweeted several derogatory remarks against President Trump and his supporters.

Wikipedia still categorizes “spygate” as a “conspiracy theory” after EVERY major news publisher has reported that Trump campaign adviser George Papadopoulos was spied on during the 2016 election.

It is widely known that Wikipedia smears and lies about many conservatives (including The Gateway Pundit) and promotes leftist dogma.
So it makes sense that their founder is a raging anti-Trump nutcase.

Only legal action will prevent these far left hacks from censoring truthful news to the public.

Trump Has Engraved Envelopes Hand Delivered To Democrats On Capitol Hill — With His F*** You Letter To Pelosi Inside!

We all know President Trump is a master troll, but he topped himself this time.

The White House on Wednesday dispatched some staffers to head up the Capitol. They brought with them beautiful cards with hand-drawn calligraphy on them. They looked like Christmas cards.

But inside the envelopes addressed to lawmakers were copies of  President Trump’s brutal letter to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.

“True story: there is a White House staffer going around the Senate delivering to each office, as a package, the incoherent, scathing Pelosi letter AND … wait for it … a giant 16×12 White House Christmas card (along with, implausibly, a second smaller Christmas card). What a day,” Sen. Chris Murphy (D-CT) wrote on Twitter.

The White House staffers made sure they had one for Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, too. She wrote on Twitter: “They’re coming into the House, too. (No Christmas card here – but no coal, either).”

Murphy responded to AOC’s post, writing: “I’m gonna start making that my new Christmas tradition – send out my Christmas cards with an attached screw-off letter listing all my grievances for the year.”

In the letter to the House Speaker, Trump ripped Pelosi and House Democrats for pursuing his impeachment.

“You are the ones interfering in America’s elections. You are the ones subverting America’s democracy. You are the ones obstructing justice,” he wrote.

“This is nothing more than an illegal, partisan attempted coup that will, based on recent sentiment, badly fail at the voting both,” the letter said. “You are not just after me, as president, you are after the entire Republican Party. History will judge you harshly as you proceed with this impeachment charade.”

“I have no doubt the American people will hold you and the Democrats fully responsible in the upcoming 2020 election. They will not soon forgive your perversion of justice and abuse of power,” the president wrote.

Trump also blasted Pelosi for saying she was praying for him.

“You are offending Americans of faith when you say, ‘I pray for the president,’ when you know this statement is not true, unless it is meant in a negative sense,” he said. “It is a terrible thing you are doing, but you will have to live with it, not I!”

Coffee Shop Owner Closes Her Own Store To Help Competitor Dying of Cancer

Most times when a company starts up, they keep an eye out for their competition. Even between the most amicable of rivalries, it’s rare to see someone go well out of their way to help another business.

But this is about more than a business.

Pixie Adams runs Moonlight Coffeehouse in Oak Grove, Oregon. Dave and Tina McAdams opened up “The Local Coffee Company” earlier this year nearby.

Before Dave and Tina opened their shop, though, they got to know Adams (and vice versa) and became good friends — perhaps in part because Dave and Pixie had both beaten cancer.

While Dave beat cancer the first two times, doctors gave him a grim prognosis in recent weeks, saying he had about two months to live.

“For those of you who may not have heard, Dave’s battle with cancer has come to a point where modern medicine can not do anything more than keep him comfortable,” The Local Coffee Company shared on Dec. 1. “He’s home on palliative/hospice care and we’re cherishing every moment we have with him.”

“We wanted to provide an opportunity for him to be LovedDeeply in return before be goes to be in the arms of our Savior—and of course, we’re still hoping and praying for a great big miracle—we want God to show off!!”

It was tough to manage their finances, and Dave’s illness definitely impacted their work. Adams knew that pain.

“Being a small business, we generally don’t have a lot of financial reserves,” Adams told Inside Edition. “We don’t have paid time off. The worry is, what happens if we get sick, or something happens to us, there isn’t a big safety net. It was important to me to do something that would financially help them.”

So, as an act of goodwill toward her friends and competition, Adams shut down her shop for a day and worked for free at The Local Coffee Company instead.

“Yesterday, our family here at Moonlight Coffeehouse had the opportunity to serve another local coffee shop in our community who’s owner is in hospice care for a terminal cancer diagnosis,” The Moonlight Coffeehouse shared on Dec. 12. “Our owner Pixie Adams spent the entire day working for The Local Coffee Company for FREE as she hosted Moonlight Takes Over The Local Coffee Co Fundraiser to help raise money for owners Dave McAdams and Tina McAdams!”

“There were HUNDREDS of responses on our social media and The Local had the highest sales day in their history! We had cars lined up almost the ENTIRE day! “There aren’t words enough to express how grateful we are for the chance to be there for another brave cancer warrior and help keep their beautiful small business successful while they savor their remaining time together. Dave and Tina, you have all our love! <3 <3 <3 And to our Community…..you make doing what we do a privilege and an honor. Thank you for your never-ending support! <3 <3 <3.”

“I feel like it’s so easy to get caught up in the competition in business,” Adams said. “I wanted to do something for them that I knew was going to make a difference in more than a superficial way. To me, it will always be community over competition, and friendship over business.”

Law Enforcement Takes Down 96 MS-13 Members in Largest Ever Bust of Its Kind

A massive multi-agency law enforcement operation has resulted in what may be the largest ever takedown of an MS-13 syndicate on U.S. soil, New York prosecutors announced Friday afternoon.

According to ABC News, 96 of the violent Salvadoran street gang’s New York members and associates have been indicted on 77 counts including illegal weapons sales and possession, and conspiracy to commit murder.

Law enforcement sources have told reporters this historic special grand jury indictment and resulting arrests — the product of a nearly two-year federal wiretapping investigation — are likely to make the gang’s infamously violent Long Island outfit “inoperable.”

“The goal of this investigation was to deliver a major blow to the gang’s leadership, operations and recruitment in our region,” Suffolk County District Attorney Timothy Sini said in a Friday news conference. “We did exactly that.”

“MS-13 is a ruthless, savage gang that commits acts of violence to recruit, retain and control its members and exact revenge on its rivals as well as to extort innocent members in our community,” Sini said.

“Our message is simple, law enforcement will do what it takes to protect our communities,” Sini continued. “And to MS-13, we are coming for you.”

The 96 defendants — primarily arrested Thursday and Friday morning, according to the New York Post — ranged in age from 16 to 59 and included both U.S. citizens and illegal immigrants.

Outside of Suffolk County, cooperating officials are said to have arrested more than 200 more MS-13 affiliated individuals across the U.S. and in the gang’s home base of El Salvador.

Sini also told reporters that the investigation had foiled as many as seven alleged murder plots in Suffolk County, turning up substantial amounts of cocaine and the deadlier opioid fentanyl, as well as handguns, long guns, machetes and $200,000 in cash.

The machetes in particular, however, were emblematic of the gang’s often “savage” modus operandi, the district attorney added.

Similar appeals have been made in recent years by President Donald Trump, who has on numerous occasions emphasized MS-13’s cruel and unusual criminal behavior in public calls for Congress, and the American people, to provide him a stronger mandate with which to increase security measures along the southern border.

“They kidnap, they extort, they rape and they rob. They prey on children,” Trump said of the gang at a Suffolk County rally in 2017, according to ABC. “They shouldn’t be here.”

“It’s time for every member of MS-13 to be in fear. Look over their shoulder. Look in their rearview mirror,” the president continued, “because ICE and its partners are coming hard, and we’re coming strong.”

MS-13’s influence on Long Island has been strong for many years now, with law enforcement estimates regarding the gang’s membership in the area varying dramatically from hundreds to thousands, according to the New York Post

Unquestionable, however, is the gang’s impact on the region.

It was the gang’s involvement in the brutal 2016 murders of 16-year-old Kayla Cuevas and 15-year-old Nisa Mickens that first publicly galvanized then-candidate Trump and other Republican leaders against MS-13.

Cuevas and Mickens were attacked by several of the gang’s youth members on the way to basketball practice, CBS News reported.

Both died of cutting injuries and blunt force trauma to the head in what then-Suffolk County police commissioner Sini called an “unmatched” showing of “brutality.”

Merry Christmas! 27 State Capitols Feature Nativity Scenes

Twenty-seven of America’s state capitols will feature nativity scenes this Christmas as Christians celebrate the birth of Jesus.

The Thomas More Society, a national not-for-profit law firm, has partnered again with the American Nativity Scene, an organization dedicated to the display of nativity scenes in every state capitol throughout the United States, to keep privately funded manger scenes in the public square for Christmas.

“This is a landmark year as we have crossed the half-way mark,” Thomas Olp, vice president and senior counsel at the Thomas More Society, said in a joint press statement. “More than 50 percent of our nation’s state capitols will feature Christ – the very reason for Christmas. It is an exciting opportunity to share our Christmas message with the public, as the Constitution allows us to do.”

The Thomas More Society serves as legal counsel for the American Nativity Scene in placing the manger scenes and defending their placement, if necessary, in public places across America.

Ed O’Malley, president of the American Nativity Scene, noted that the number of nativity displays placed in 2019 represented a dramatic increase.

“We welcomed six new state capitol nativity scenes this Christmas, with manger displays debuting in Florida, Hawaii, Minnesota, North Dakota, Ohio and South Carolina,” he said. “That’s the largest number we’ve added in any year since we launched this initiative in 2012.”

“By leveraging this beloved holiday, we provide an invitation to everyone to seek peace on earth and goodwill to all,” O’Malley added.

He said each state capitol display “celebrates the manger scene uniquely, but most incorporate celebrations with Christmas carols, prayers, and public figures speaking to mark the occasion,” according to the press release.

“Privately funded Christmas displays are legally allowed in a traditional public forum such as a state capitol, county complex, or city hall lawn,” O’Malley observed. “We are committed to our goal of keeping Christ in Christmas across the nation.”

In 2014, the Pew Research Center reported a survey that found 72 percent of Americans agreed that religious symbols on government land during the Christmas season are acceptable. Only 20 percent of those surveyed said they should not be allowed at all.

The two organizations have assisted with nativity displays at the state capitols in California, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Rhode Island, South Carolina, and Texas.

Christmas nativities are also displayed at the state capitols in Arkansas, New Jersey, New Hampshire, South Dakota, Washington, Wisconsin, and the governor’s mansion in Oklahoma.

America is in the middle of its greatest stock market rally ever but no one would know it due to the media’s fixation on other matters.

The markets showed today that they maintain their confidence in President Trump as the DOW reached another all-time closing high. This was the 123rd all-time high since the 2016 election.

After President Trump was elected the stock markets exploded. The markets are a gauge of the economy and include expectations of the future. On November 8th, 2016, the DOW stood at 18,332. Since that date, and after Donald Trump won the 2016 election, the DOW has soared. Today the DOW closed at another new all-time high of 28,455 or 10,123 points higher than the day of the 2016 election!

Never has has the DOW risen so much in such a short period of time. THIS IS HISTORIC!

Not only has the DOW skyrocketed since Donald Trump was elected President, the market’s rise is record breaking.

President Trump’s first year in office (2017) saw the most all-time stock market closing highs (71) as well as the largest single year increase in DOW history (4,956 points). Prior to 2017, no year in the DOW’s more than 100-year history ever saw the DOW increase by more than 3,500 points, let alone 4,900. The most all-time highs in a year prior to 2017 was 69 in 1995.

Since President Trump was elected President the DOW tied the record for the most all-time closing highs in a row. In January of 1987 President Reagan saw the DOW increase to new all-time highs a record 12 days in a row. In February of 2017, President Trump matched Reagan’s record.

The DOW reached its fastest 500 point increase between major milestones under President Trump. In January of 2018 the DOW surpassed 26,000 and six days later the DOW surpassed 26,500. Under President Trump the DOW has seen the fastest 1,000; 2,000; 3,000; 4,000; 5,000; 6,000; 7,000, 8,000 and 9,000 point increases in DOW history. No similar records occurred at any time in history.

Also, President Trump didn’t ride an Obama wave, the DOW under Obama was down in 2015 and stayed relatively flat until the 2016 election. The DOW is now officially up more than 50% since the 2016 election.

Presidents GW Bush and Obama NEVER reached a new all-time high in their entire first terms. Presidents (Franklin) Roosevelt, Truman and Carter never reached a new all-time high in their Presidencies.

President Trump has now increased the markets by more than any other President in their entire Presidency (when counting from their election win to the election day in their last year in office.) As noted above, under President Trump the DOW has increased 10,123 over the past three years. This has never happened before.

All the major indices are way up under President Trump and many records have been set. The market increases since President Trump’s election three years ago truly are historic.
