Thirty-four Republicans voted December 11 to give amnesty at least one million illegal immigrants and to subsidize farm companies with a wave of cheap visa-workers who will lower wages throughout the farm workforce, which includes at least one million American workers.
The Republicans are mostly from rural districts where the local media is skewed in favor of local farm employers and often ignores the economic interest of local American farmworkers.
Some of the pro-amnesty GOP legislators will avoid the pushback from GOP activists and voters by retiring before November.

ICE issued detainers on criminal aliens just this past year who were collectively charged with 2,500 murders! To put that in perspective, according to the FBI, law enforcement agencies only arrested 9,049 individuals in total for homicide in 2018. So 2,500 is roughly 28 percent of the known homicide offenders! It is the equivalent to the body count from 43 Las Vegas shootings, all committed by foreign nationals. Isn’t it time we provide more funding for ICE so we don’t continue to harbor other countries’ murderers?
The biggest headline from ICE’s comprehensive enforcement and removal operations report released yesterday was that the border surge diverted ICE operations to the point that interior arrests were down 10 percent. But there is a bigger headline embedded in the report that should disturb us all. It reveals a catastrophically huge problem of foreign criminals remaining indefinitely in the country to commit more crimes, many of whom are unknown or unsupervised. Where are Republicans fighting the issue of harboring other countries’ criminals? Where is the budget fight?
ICE’s annual enforcement report reveals that at the end of fiscal year 2019, there were 3,274,244 foreign nationals in the national docket of immigration proceedings who are officially under the supervision of ICE, but are not detained. That is an increase of 800,000 illegal aliens in just two years, and most of them committed other crimes while here.
For all the talk about ICE locking up people and record numbers in detention, only 50,000 are being detained. That means that 98.4 percent of illegal aliens who have been caught by ICE in recent years and have not yet been removed – again, mainly criminal aliens – and remain at large in the country. The same 5,000 ICE deportation officers – one-fourth the size of the NYPD – who are responsible for roughly 150,000 new arrests and 85,000 new removals a year must monitor these people as well, which include roughly 2.5 million with final or pending final removal orders.
To put that in plain English, it means that because our system has moved away from expedited removal to lawfare in the immigration courts, 3.2 million illegal aliens, over 80 percent of whom have likely committed additional crimes, remain at large in this country indefinitely with almost no supervision. That is a public security crisis of epic proportions that cuts to the core of why we have a federal government, yet Congress refuses to allocate the resources even for ICE to properly monitor, apprehend, and remove just the illegal aliens with criminal records. Over 80 percent of those arrested by ICE in recent years have criminal convictions or pending criminal charges, which means that the overwhelming majority of the 3.2 million (not to mention all the criminal aliens ICE never caught) remain a danger to the public.
In 2017, the DHS inspector general found that in some field offices there is only one agent per 10,000 released aliens. Worse, the report found that that “a heavy workload limited oversight of non-detained aliens in that geographic area that ICE had flagged as risks to national security.” Now, there are one million more on the docket.
Now take a look at the list of hundreds of thousands of charges and convictions against the illegal aliens ICE arrested this year.
A few observations are in order:
Overall, the 1,923 murder figure is what stands out. But it’s worse than that. That was the total homicide tally among those arrested by ICE this past year, which usually means people who committed murder years ago and have just finished serving their sentence in prison. ICE reported that just this year it issued detainers on individuals charged with a total of 2,500 murders. While some of them might have been legal immigrants who have been convicted of a murder a while ago and served time, the bulk of them will be front-end detainers on illegal aliens who have just recently been charged with murder. That such a large percentage of murder in this country is 100 percent avoidable is truly a national emergency.
Aside from homicides, among those who were subject to detainers in FY 2019, the illegal aliens together had a cumulative history of 56,000 assaults, 14,500 sex crimes, 5,000 robberies, and 2,500 kidnappings. Again, that’s just one year’s worth of detainers.
Unless ICE’s funding is increased and expedited removals become the norm, even if we completely shut off new illegal immigration, it would take years to dig out from the mess of bringing in millions of criminals who belong to other countries. We have truly become the global dumping ground.

The House Democrats rushing headlong into impeaching President Trump are really stretching it now.
Rep. Steve Cohen (D-TN) on Wednesday night claimed that President Donald Trump’s phone call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky was “an affront” to the memory of Martin Luther King Jr.
“It’s as if our founders could see into 2019 and when they did that saw Donald Trump corrupting our democracy by saying to President Zelensky of Ukraine, ‘I’d like you to do us a favor, though.’ President Trump’s subversive and illegal action in seeking foreign interference are an effrontery to our Constitution and free and fair elections,” Cohen said.
Then Cohen went wide.
“They are an affront to the founders. They are an affront to the suffragettes who fought for voting rights. They are an affront to Medgar Evers, the civil rights leader assassinated in Jackson, Mississippi. They’re an affront to Andrew Goodman, James Cheney and Michael Schwerner, civil rights workers murdered in Philadelphia, Mississippi, during the freedom summer of ’64 while registering African-Americans to vote,” the congressman continued.
“They’re an affront to Viola Liuzzo, a mother of five who was murdered by the Ku Klux Klan while she was in Alabama to participate in the Selma to Montgomery march, and they’re an affront to the memory of the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr., who championed the Voting Rights Act of 1965. And they’re an affront to every service member who has ever fought to defend our nation and our system of self-government, which is based upon free and fair elections,” Cohen said.
“President Trump’s attempt to subvert our elections was an attack on America.”
Cohen never explained how a simple phone call from the president of the United States to a foreign leader has anything at all to do with civil rights.

This month marks the two-year anniversary of the Tax
Cuts and Jobs Act, the most sweeping update to the U.S. tax code in more than
30 years.
The reforms simplified the process of paying taxes,
lowered rates on individuals and businesses, and updated the business tax code
so that American corporations and the people they employ can be globally
competitive again.
The tax cuts included a long list of reforms that are
worth reviewing.
For individuals, the tax cuts reduced federal income tax rates, increased the standard deduction, doubled the child tax credit, repealed the personal and dependent exemptions, and capped the deductions for state and local taxes, among many other reforms. These expire at the end of 2025.
For businesses, the law permanently lowered the
corporate tax rate to 21%, down from a global high of 35%, and temporarily
allowed businesses to fully deduct most new U.S. investments.
The tax bill cut taxes for the vast majority of
Americans—nine out of every 10 people saw a tax cut or no change in what they
paid.
Using IRS data, The Heritage Foundation found that average households in every congressional district were projected to benefit from a tax cut in 2018. Most Americans received their tax cut through lower employer withholding and thus bigger paychecks.
The average American was projected to get a $1,400 tax
cut in 2018 and $2,900 for a family of four.
We don’t have to guess anymore about the effects of
the tax cuts. After actually filing their taxes with the
IRS,
Americans saw their average effective tax rates decline by 13% (or about 1.5
percentage points). Despite claims to the contrary, every income group
benefited from the tax cut.
There were also significant time-savings and simplification. Not
every part of the tax code was streamlined, but for most individual taxpayers, taxpaying
is now more straightforward.
In 2017, 30% of households itemized their taxes, a
more complicated process of documenting and calculating a list of discrete
write-offs, such as the mortgage interest and charitable deductions.
In the first year of the tax cut, itemizers dropped from
30% to 10%, showing that millions of Americans opted for the single, simpler
standard deduction. Under the new system the number of people who were able to
do their own taxes increased
by 4.4%.
American workers and businesses have been doing better
almost every year since the Great Recession. But the past several years have
been different. Things aren’t just a bit better—we’ve been setting records.
Unemployment is at a 50-year low of 3.5%. Businesses
have added jobs for 110 straight months, the longest streak on record, and
there are more jobs available than people looking for them.
Wages have also been increasing. Average wage growth over
the past year was 3.1% in the most recent government data. Non-supervisory and
production worker wages grew even faster, at 3.7%. Before 2018, wage growth
hadn’t reached 3% since 2009.
The lowest wage earners in the U.S. have been experiencing
some of the largest wage gains. The 10th percentile wage earner (people making
about $12 an hour) have benefited from a 7% wage increase from the third
quarter of 2018 through the same in 2019, in the most recent quarterly
data.
That’s more than twice the gain in average wages and roughly equivalent to a
$1,500 raise for someone earning less than $25,000 a year.
Minorities are also seeing larger than average gains.
Lower-wage black workers have seen wage growth of 8.5%, and similar low-wage
black women workers saw gains larger than 10%. Similar trends can be seen for
low-wage Asian workers, Hispanic women, and people without a high school
degree.
Between the tax cuts and wage gains, The Heritage
Foundation calculated that over the decade following the tax
cuts, the typical American household will reap an additional $26,000 in
take-home pay or $45,000 for a family of four. That’s more than enough to buy a
new car or put a down payment on a house.
The American people seem to be internalizing all the
good news. Job satisfaction
and consumer confidence are high. Thanks to the strong economy, Americans who
aren’t happy at their current work are voluntarily leaving their jobs for
better opportunities at close to record rates.
And Americans are saving more too, using the good economic times to prepare for
their future.
The main way the tax cuts are expected to contribute
to furthering the good economic trends is through increased business
investment, which leads to more jobs, better technology, and eventually
productivity gains. Each of these things helps boost wages.
Historically, reforms that lower business tax rates
and allow more investment
write-offs lead to increased business activity. Thus, economists
expected economy-wide investment to increase following the reforms, and that’s
exactly what happened.
It wasn’t until uncertainty regarding trade and tariffs
in the following year dragged investment back down below pre-tax reform
projections. The trade war seems to be hiding the tremendous successes of the
2017 tax cuts.
Immediately following the reforms, business fixed
investment, new business applications, and other indicators, such as business
confidence, all surpassed expectations.
For example, immediately after the tax cuts were signed into law, business
investment increase by 39%
among the 130 in the S&P 500.
In such a turbulent policy environment, assessing the
long-term success of tax reform will take time as new investment and increased
productivity do not happen instantaneously.
The challenge for lawmakers will be to keep taxes low
in the coming years so that the full economic benefits of the 2017 tax cuts can
be enjoyed by generations to come.

Besides visceral hate for Donald Trump, one of the reasons CNN has been so openly aggressive in cheerleading for Trump’s impeachment is to boost its pathetic ratings.
Well, like everything else CNNLOL chief Jeff Zucker touches, that plan has also failed because the far-left outlet’s ratings took a double-digit nosedive last week.
While this is a slight improvement over the previous week, when CNNLOL hit a three-year ratings low, CNN is still unable to attract even a million viewers during its dreadful primetime schedule.
Compared to this same week last year, CNNLOL lost 14 percent of its primetime viewers and 15 percent of its total day viewers.
During primetime, the fake news outlet was only able to attract — in a county of 330 million where 88 million households have access to CNN — a pathetic, measly, humiliating 887,000 viewers. Throughout the day, the conspiracy-theory outlet was only able to attract a pathetic, measly, humiliating 689,000 viewers.
America’s other left-wing cable outlet, MSNBC, also lost viewers. A full 12 percent in primetime and five percent in total day … while the president of the United States is being impeached!
So how about Fox News…? Am I unfairly LOL-ing at CNNLOL when the overall trend in cable news viewership is trending down?
Nope.
Compared to this same week last year, Fox grew its primetime audience by 31 percent and its total day audience by 14 percent.
This is what’s happening…
Even Democrats, even Trump haters are tired of CNNLOL’s lies and bias and just plain-ole’ bad TV.

Must I say this again… the president of the United States is being impeached, something that has only happened a handful of time over the 244-year history of our country, and both CNNLOL and MSNBC are LOSING viewers, and CNNLOL’s viewership loss is far worse because CNNLOL has practically no viewers to begin with.
Like I mentioned last week, people are no longer not watching CNN — this is a rejection by the public, a revulsion and turning away unlike anything I’ve ever seen in the news media before.

In the midst of a difficult impeachment fight, President Donald Trump asked 50 Christian leaders to come into the Oval Office and pray for him last week.
According to The Christian Post, the group included worship leaders and Christian music artists — most notably Brian Houston, founder of Hillsong Church.
Fox News reported that the event was organized by Paula White-Cain, the president’s spiritual adviser. She’s also the leader of the White House’s Faith and Opportunity Initiative.
“Here I am at the White House. Never say never,” Houston said in an Instagram video from outside the White House.
“It is a great honor to go into the Cabinet Room and even into the Oval Office to pray for the president of the United States of America.”
In a separate Twitter video posted to the White House’s Twitter account, Houston said the visit was not only praying for a strong America but one that would “help freedom of religion.”
“As an Australian, I really believe that we need a strong America in the world,” Houston said.
“With America strong, the world is a better place. What a great opportunity it’s been to see some of the initiatives that are happening to help freedom of religion and to just see, generally, the great spirit in the White House with people who are optimistic about the future.”

Feucht is running for Congress in California’s 3rd Congressional District. He’s also known for traveling to some of the countries that have seen the worst persecution of Christians.
“We just laid our hands on him and prayed for him. It was like a real intense, hardcore prayer. It was so wild,” Feucht said, according to Fox.

The group also prayed for an hour in the Eisenhower Building, with Bethel Music among the many musicians providing worship leadership.
For those who were in the Oval Office last week, this wasn’t about supporting cultural conservatism in American politics — at least publicly.
“To me, it is not about politics. It is about the position,” Houston said.
“[A]nd a significant man like the president of the United States could use all the prayer we could possibly give him.”
Nashville-based worship leaders Kari Jobe and Cody Carnes were equally effusive about meeting the president.

“The thing that moved me the most was just how everyone is so for making sure we’re changing people’s lives and not leaving those that are marginalized and those that have been trafficked … They’re working to end these things and change these things,” Jobe said.
Vice President Mike Pence, who addressed the gathering, also shared his take on the meeting.
“Wonderful stopping by a worship leaders briefing today at the @WhiteHouse!” he wrote in a Twitter post. “America is a proud Nation of believers and our Administration will always defend the freedom of religion of every American, of every faith!”

Of course, there’s going to be plenty of noise about the president surrounding himself with members of the faith community as impeachment is coming to a head. One remembers how Bill Clinton become suddenly close to the Rev. Jesse Jackson as impeachment became an inevitability.
However, Trump isn’t a president who’s particularly fearful of the outcome of the impeachment trial. If anything, he seems to be looking forward to it. This is a guy who seems genuinely invested in having these faith leaders pray for him.
That’s a huge change in the White House. It’s also a favorable one — no matter what the liberal media will want to tell you. Worship of God in the White House is never a bad thing.
Oh, and just in case you needed more reason to love this, the Freedom From Religion Foundation says it’s “investigating” the event.
“Welcoming a group of Christian Nationalists to carry out a governmental ‘takeover’ is deeply disturbing, since it shows a contempt for the foundational American principle of state-church separation,” FFRF co-president Annie Laurie Gaylor, said in a statement. “It should alarm every citizen.”
Actually, strip away the fear-inducing “Christian Nationalist” and “takeover” rhetoric, and basically it means the group thinks Americans should be alarmed that the president is asking religious believers to pray for him.
It should alarm us more if he didn’t.
