Military Wife Writes Raw Truth Explaining What It Really Takes to Let a Soldier Go

Life in the military is full of stories.

Survival. Courage. Homecomings.

Often, the side most widely celebrated online is the side everyone wants to see — soldiers in uniform popping out of boxes and walking onto stages. Hugs, kisses, music, laughing through tears. A story of a soldier’s homecoming can be inspirational and heartwarming, but even more inspirational are the hidden moments that nobody sees.

Nobody records the quiet years spent waiting, hoping and praying before those soldiers finally come home.

A military wife named Alex Chrisco recently wrote a heartbreaking description of those very moments, highlighting the side of military life that few get the opportunity to witness.

TRENDING: Breaking Report: It’s Starting to Look Like Mueller Lied Under Oath

“People don’t see this side,” she began, writing the message on Facebook accompanied by a sweet photo of herself and her husband, who is in the Marine Corps. The young military bride began by showcasing the stress of a soldier’s last morning at home before leaving for an assignment.

“You’re up an hour earlier than he is on the day he leaves. You wake up because your mind is racing. Did we get everything in order?” she wrote.

She continued to describe how military wives are left alone to deal with household maintenance, car trouble, bills, chores and other responsibilities that pale in comparison to the worst task imaginable: letting go of the men they love.

“You’re laying in bed mindlessly scrolling through apps on your phone because your real focus is listening to him breathe (or snore). It’s annoying now but you know you’ll miss it,” Chrisco wrote. “And right now, he’s here. In a few weeks you’ll probably be crying remembering this moment, wishing you had held him just a little bit longer.”

“People don’t see this side. They don’t see the gear laid out in your living room. They don’t know how rough his cammies feel during that last hug.

“They don’t know how exhausting the wait is, the countdown to the final hour; they don’t see how hard you try to keep it together, how much you try to not let your voice shake when you say ‘I love you, see you later.’”

The post paints a raw picture of what truly happens behind the scenes. While soldiers are sometimes called to sacrifice everything for the country they serve, their families are asked to give up months of memories and moments. Choosing to stand behind a soldier can often feel like choosing to stand alone. However, no woman brave enough to make the sacrifices has to be alone.

Chrisco’s post quickly went viral, with dozens of comments pouring in to offer support and encouragement. The military community rallied close around her, reminding her that they were there.

The marine’s wife was surprised that her message had hit home for so many people.

“I was shocked that my post got such an overwhelming response, but I’m grateful the message is being shared,” Chrisco told The Western Journal.

“Seeing the responses this post has gotten from other spouses reminded me of how unique and special our community is: no matter what you are going through, there is another person who is experiencing the same thing.”

When asked what advice she would give to others struggling with the same emotions and experiences, she said, “I would tell them to continue living their life. One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is that your life does not have to stop because your husband is away.”

“You are allowed to go on your own adventures,” she added.

Chrisco ended her post with a final message about the little moments spent preparing to let a soldier go. “People don’t see this side,” she wrote. “They see the homecoming videos and the cute pics, but they don’t see the times where you’re looking at your husband for no reason, because you know the next time he leaves, you’ll be wishing you had stolen just one more glance.”

The next time you find yourself in conversation with a military wife, be sure to thank her for all she does, and all she has chosen to sacrifice.

Progressive SJW trustee for Chicago suburb goes ballistic at meeting: ‘You stop it, you are a white male!’

In a video you have to see to believe, a trustee for Oak Park, Illinois, a suburb of Chicago, screamed at her colleagues for speaking on racial issues as white men.

During a Monday board of trustees meeting on rewriting the town’s diversity statement, trustee Susan Buchanan flipped out after trustee Dan Moroney objected to language he thought might be offensive to the town police department. According to CBS 2, part of the statement read: “We work to break down systems of oppression.”

“I hesitate to send the message to our police department that they are a system of oppression,” Moroney said.

In video from the meeting, Buchanan says Moroney and fellow trustee Deno Andrews “shouldn’t have an opinion” on the matter and attacked them for being white.

“You have been white from birth! Why are you arguing what is a system of oppression? You’ve never experienced one! So shut up! I don’t want to hear from you! Just stop!” Buchanan said.

“You have not spent a day with dark brown skin and tried to walk through this society!” she said with raised voice.

Her ravings drew applause from the audience.

“This mayor and this board is obviously not willing to face history,” she yelled. “We have a chance to make history. It is time for this community to face equity. Enough! And you stop it! You are a white male! You stop it, you are a white male! Your skin is light enough. Stop it!”

The Village of Oak Park meeting agenda and full video of Buchanan’s comments are available at the town’s website.

State Dept Witness Testifies Hillary Clinton Was Fully Informed of Federal Records Management, Including Email Records on Six Occasions

Graphic via Judicial Watch

Judicial Watch is fighting in court to depose Hillary Clinton.

Hillary Clinton’s lawyers pushed back on Judicial Watch last month and argued that Hillary has already answered all the questions about her private server and Benghazi.

Judicial Watch rejected their argument and said Hillary’s answers about the use of her private server actually raised more questions.

Judicial Watch should be permitted to directly question Secretary Clinton about her motives, thoughts, and efforts regarding the “convenience” she relies upon in justifying her use of a secret, private server and email address in direct violation of federal records laws and State Department policies.

A State Department witness testified that Hillary Clinton was fully informed of federal records management on at least six occasions.

Clinton also suggests that her emails would have been captured by State Department records systems, which is contradicted by Tasha Thian, a retired senior State records official, recently questioned by Judicial Watch:

According to Ms. Thian’s testimony, there are at least six occasions Secretary Clinton was or should have been fully informed of federal records management, including email records, and compliance responsibilities. Yet Secretary Clinton’s actual understanding of her obligations with respect to official State Department records is completely absent from the record.

Thian implied that it was inconceivable that Clinton was not aware of her obligations regarding federal records and email management:

I don’t understand why she would come up with this statements that she was allowed – or how she would save record email by emailing another employee’s account. She had resources there aplenty. So it just doesn’t make sense to me.

[Even before taking office, Secretary Clinton] knew we had a process.

Recall, it was Judicial Watch in 2015 who blew the story wide open about Hillary Clinton’s use of a private server while she was the head of the Department of State.

Hillary Clinton panicked and used BleachBit to destroy 33,000 emails and her aides took hammers to her BlackBerrys (all under congressional subpoena) in order to hide her Clinton Foundation pay-to-play scheme.

Judicial Watch has been fighting to get Hillary Clinton’s ‘missing’ emails ever since. Through FOIA lawsuits, Judicial Watch has obtained thousands of Hillary Clinton’s emails which proved she transmitted classified information over her private server and even outed the name of clandestine CIA officer.

Hillary Clinton is still freely walking around — meanwhile two of Rudy Giuliani’s associates were arrested Thursday for ‘campaign finance violations.’

“Hillary Clinton is now joking about her emails even as she seeks to avoid being questioned on this serious scandal,” said Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton. “The court has found that this email use and cover-up are no joking matter.”

ICE chief estimates 15,000 fewer criminal alien arrests due to border crisis resource drain

Diverting the resources needed to address the crisis at America’s southern border has led to a drop in arrests of criminal aliens in the U.S. interior, a top Trump administration immigration official said Thursday.

At a White House news conference on Thursday morning, acting ICE Director Matthew Albence told reporters that the agency is expecting a severe drop in criminal alien arrests as a result of the diversion of law enforcement resources to deal with the crisis at the southern border.

The conference was focused on the problem of illegal alien crime and the agency’s efforts to get criminal aliens off the streets. When asked by a reporter about administration efforts to combat illegal border crossings, Albence listed several recent administration actions but also noted that addressing the border crisis has hamstrung ICE’s ability to enforce the law domestically.

Albence continued:

This is one of the problems with this issue, is that we’ve had to redeploy our ICE resources to support the Border Patrol and Customs and Border Protection with those challenges at the border, which has made us less safe. Because we’ve had some field offices where we’ve had to shut down our at-large criminal alien teams so that they could handle the influx of people that are coming to this country illegally as well as the increase in people in detention.

“As a result, we’re going to arrest about 15,000 or so fewer criminal aliens this year as a result of what’s going on at the border. So for those, the people that say we should be going after the worst of the worst and going after criminal aliens, I would love to, but that has to come with strong border security.

Video of the press briefing is available here:

The diversion of resources to the border situation has been a problem for months. Back in June, ICE Seattle field office acting director Bryan Wilcox told Blaze Media that “better than 10% of my officers are currently on detail either to the border or to other parts of the country in support of the border.” He also said that “if we really want to make a dent on this problem, we need significantly more resources.”

Last month, acting Customs and Border Protection Commissioner Mark Morgan said the consistent drop in border apprehension numbers was made possible because President Donald Trump “has made it very clear that he is going to use every tool available to him and this administration to address this unprecedented crisis at the southern border.”

On Tuesday, Morgan noted that border apprehension numbers dropped for the fourth straight month in September, which had the lowest monthly total for the fiscal year.

However, Albence also noted during his remarks at the briefing that while the numbers at the southern border have dropped over the past several months, “we’re still not out of the crisis.”

Alleged gang murderer resettled as ‘unaccompanied’ child migrant shielded by WA sanctuary 4 times

How many murderers are roaming around in King County, Washington, because of its sanctuary policies for illegal aliens? It seems like there’s a new horror story every day.

Carlos Daniel Carillo-Lopez is accused of luring Josue Flores, a rival gang member, into Goldsmith Park in King County, Washington, and pistol-whipping him before shooting him to death. The murder took place at midnight on April 3, but it wasn’t until last week that police arrested Carillo-Lopez and three other suspects involved.

Now, an ICE spokesperson tells me, in response to an inquiry from CR, that the main suspect is an illegal alien. “Accused murderer, Carlos Daniel Carillo-Lopez, is a citizen of Guatemala and in the United States illegally. Carillo-Lopez is a known associate of the Crossroads Locos 13, who originally came to the U.S. as an unaccompanied child,” said the spokeswoman for ICE’s Seattle office. “On April 15, 2015, U.S. Border Patrol (USBP) encountered and arrested Carillo-Lopez as an unaccompanied child near Sasabe, Arizona, and issued him a notice to appear the following day. He was then transferred to the custody of the Office of Refugee Resettlement and later released on an order of recognizance to a sponsor in Texas.”

A great many of the youths whom we are resettling in this country under the UAC program are not victims of trafficking, but are dangerous gang members. It remains the most unchecked loophole at our border and poses a tremendous security threat to every city in this country.

And the national policies are aggravated by Washington state’s sanctuary policy, refusing to honor ICE detainers no matter the severity of the crime.

It turns out Carillo-Lopez was in police custody several times both before and after the murder was committed, and each time, authorities ignored ICE detainers. “This is yet again another example of sanctuary policies shielding criminal aliens who prey on people in their own and other communities from immigration enforcement,” said Tanya Roman, an ICE spokeswoman. “As Carillo-Lopez’s crimes increased in severity, local officials chose to release him, time and time again, over immigration detainers that could have taken him off the streets.”

Here is the timeline of the four ignored detainers, according to ICE:

  • On March 15, 2019, BPD arrested Carillo-Lopez on local charges and booked him into the South Correctional Entity Jail (SCORE). On March 18, 2019, ICE encountered Carillo-Lopez at SCORE and lodged a detainer. SCORE released Carillo-Lopez on an unknown date without notification to ICE.
  • On April 04, 2019, BPD again arrested Carillo-Lopez for local charges and booked him into SCORE. ICE encountered him at SCORE on the same day and lodged a detainer. SCORE released him again on an unknown date without notification to ICE.
  • Just 14 days later, on April 18, 2019, BPD arrested Carillo-Lopez for various local charges and booked him into SCORE. ICE encountered him a day later and lodged a detainer. Again, SCORE released Carillo-Lopez on an unknown date without notifying ICE.
  • On June 09, 2019, BPD arrested Carillo-Lopez for local charges and booked him into King County Jail (KCJ) in Seattle, Washington. On June 11, 2019, ICE encountered Carillo-Lopez in the KCJ and lodged a detainer. On June 17, 2019, KCJ released him without notification to ICE.

Finally, he was arrested for the murder along with multiple robbery charges on September 30. ICE lodged a detainer with the King County jail the following day. Thankfully, he is being held on $2 million bond, but sadly, were he to post bond, King County would not honor the detainer even now. Recently, King County released a criminal alien who is accused of stabbing a father in front of his son on a local subway.

The influx of Central American teens is swelling the ranks of gangs throughout the country. Maryland is ground zero for MS-13 recruitment. Last week, four illegal aliens from Central America who came here as teens plead guilty to participating in a gruesome MS-13 murder in Anne Arundel County, Maryland. According to the Annapolis Capital Gazette, “The guilty pleas are the latest in an expansive racketeering case against more than two dozen suspected MS-13 members in the region.”

What’s worse is that thanks to the border crisis, ICE’s resources have been diverted away from interior enforcement so there are fewer agents to hunt down the worst criminal aliens. In a press conference today, acting ICE Director Matt Albence predicted that 15,000 fewer criminal aliens would be arrested this year because of ICE’s triage mission at the border.

When is the last time you’ve seen a Republican senator hold a press conference on this issue the way the Democrats do on gun control? Mitch McConnell? John Cornyn? So long as Republicans in the Senate refuse to make Democrats take tough votes on sanctuary cities, the border crisis, and resettlement of gang-tied illegal alien teens into our communities, this problem will only get worse.

Curry Silent on China/NBA Issue, ‘Different’ Than Gender Equality, Gun Violence

The recent Chinese/NBA debacle is a time of reckoning for folks who take athlete activism seriously. In the past, superstar Golden State Warrior captain Stephen Curry has been quite vocal about status quo lefty politics and his hatred for Donald Trump, but like his coward coach, Steve Kerr, the outspoken can’t star seem to find an answer when asked about actual oppression from the NBA’s business partner, the communist Chinese government.

FOX News Plays Trick on Viewers – Oversamples Democrats by 14 POINTS in Junk Impeachment Poll

Some people are blaming new board member Paul Ryan but is that really fair?

Rush Limbaugh warned about FOX News Channel’s turn against President Trump just last week.

FOX News posted a stunning poll on Thursday that shows that 51% of Americans want President Trump impeached on the media’s fraudulent Ukrainian accusations.

But FOX News used a poll that was weighted by 14 points in favor of Democrats.

Informal Trump advisor: China gave me some information on Hunter Biden last week

The nice thing about soliciting foreign governments to investigate your would-be election opponent in full view of cameras on the White House lawn is that you only need to do it once. Never again does Trump need to repeat that request behind closed doors or send an emissary like Rudy Giuliani on his behalf. If you’re Beijing and you’re looking to soften up Trump’s position on the trade war or other global matters, you know what to do.

In fact, after reading this Financial Times story, I thought back to how quiet Trump has been about the NBA kerfuffle this week and about Hong Kong generally. A reporter specifically asked him last night if he was okay with the Chinese government pressuring the NBA over Hong Kong. That’s between them, said the president of the United States. Did he pass on criticizing China because, let’s face it, he’s an authoritarian by instinct himself and would love to have the power to silence corporate critics through economic pressure? Or did he pass on criticizing China because they’ve been cooperative lately in investigating corruption by family members of certain former U.S. officials?

Michael Pillsbury is an “informal” advisor to Trump on China, a trade hawk in the mold of Peter Navarro. He was in Beijing last week. Guess what subject came up.

“I got a quite a bit of background on Hunter Biden from the Chinese,” [Michael] Pillsbury told the Financial Times…

“I tried to bring up the topic in Beijing,” Mr Pillsbury told the [Fox Business channel]. “I’ve never seen them get so secretive in my entire life. They would discuss ICBM warheads sooner than talk about what Hunter Biden was doing in China with [former] vice-president Biden.”…

Mr Pillsbury declined to say whether he was asked to raise the issue by the president. The White House did not respond to a request for comment…

Asked to provide details about the information he received from his Chinese contacts, Mr Pillsbury would only say that it related to a $1.5bn payment from the Bank of China. That figure matches the amount that Mr Trump last week claimed Hunter Biden received from China — a statement that has not been backed up with any evidence.

Trump mentioned the sum of $1.5 billion last week in connection with Hunter Biden and China but it’s unclear where he got that number. The NYT notes that $1.5 billion happens to be the amount that a Chinese private equity firm was trying to raise in 2014; Hunter Biden sits on the board of that firm and owns 10 percent of it. The Bank of China is its biggest shareholder. The theory, I guess, is that the Chinese government is or was laundering bribes to Hunter Biden disguised as returns on investment in the firm, presumably to buy influence with his dad. But there’s no evidence of that. Did Pillsbury get some or is he just trying to mess with Joe Biden’s head in chattering about information on Hunter?

Either way, it’s an … interesting strategy to tell the media that a foreign state is giving you “background” on Biden’s son after the president encouraged that state to investigate him when Democrats are on the verge of impeaching Trump for exactly that offense in another context. Marco Rubio has taken to saying lately that Trump calling on China to investigate the Bidens was “inappropriate” but that ultimately it’s no big deal because it wasn’t a “real proposal,” just a bit of presidential trolling to bait the media. Now that he knows that Pillsbury has actually received information about Hunter Biden from China — and is being coy about whether the president himself asked him to raise the issue — does Marco want to revisit his opinion?

Here’s something else on the wires today. It’s not directly related to Ukraine but consider the substance of what Trump’s being accused of here.

President Donald Trump pressed then-Secretary of State Rex Tillerson to help persuade the Justice Department to drop a criminal case against an Iranian-Turkish gold trader who was a client of Rudy Giuliani, according to three people familiar with the 2017 meeting in the Oval Office.

Tillerson refused, arguing it would constitute interference in an ongoing investigation of the trader, Reza Zarrab, according to the people. They said other participants in the Oval Office were shocked by the request.

Tillerson immediately repeated his objections to then-chief of staff John Kelly in a hallway conversation just outside the Oval Office, emphasizing that the request would be illegal.

A high government official attempts to use the power of his office to disrupt a criminal investigation as a personal favor to the target of that investigation. That’s what Joe Biden is accused of in Ukraine — in Trump’s telling, he pressured the Ukrainian government to fire the prosecutor probing corruption at Burisma because he was afraid the probe might eventually reach Hunter Biden. Meanwhile, according to this Bloomberg story, Trump asked his chief diplomat to pressure prosecutors at the Justice Department into dropping a probe into Rudy Giuliani’s friend. In each case the goal is to spare a crony from legal consequences simply because he has a connection to the White House.

Is that going to end up tacked onto the Democrats’ articles of impeachment? If nothing else, “Trump did exactly what he accused Biden of doing” is a good talking point for them.

Exit question: Does China want Trump reelected next year? The easiest counterargument to the Pillsbury story is that it makes no sense that they would be trying to help Trump defeat Biden. Of the two, Trump is by far the bigger China hawk. Trump’s the one who’s damaged their economy with a protracted trade war. If anything, China might be inclined to offer Biden dirt on Trump, right?

I don’t know. Trump is certainly more of a threat economically than a Democrat would be, but arguably he’s less of a threat militarily than Democrats are. He’s telegraphed repeatedly via his outreach to North Korea and Iran how reluctant he is to go to war, preferring diplomacy even with the world’s worst rogue regimes. And he’s waaaaaaaay less of a believer in international alliances than virtually every prominent Democrat is. One of the reasons Obama pursued TPP at the end of his presidency was because he thought a trade alliance between the U.S. and China’s neighbords in the Far East would work to contain China’s regional influence. Trump left TPP. And he’s talked before about withdrawing U.S. troops from Japan and the Korean peninsula. And he’s made his disdain for NATO, America’s most significant military alliance, repeatedly clear. A second term for Trump might mean a protracted trade war with the U.S. but it might also see American withdrawal from various theaters — including the Far East — which would give China a freer hand to operate militarily in Hong Kong and Taiwan, among other places.

And maybe the trade war won’t be protracted. China understands that Trump is under pressure to end it sooner rather than later to spare American manufacturing and agriculture any more grief. Odds are no worse than fair that Trump will make a bad deal sometime next year to end the standoff purely in the interest of being able to tout the end of tariffmania on the campaign trail. Meanwhile, there’s no guarantee that a Democratic president wouldn’t continue the trade war if elected. Elizabeth Warren is a populist too and a skeptic of free trade, remember. And often policies passed by one administration have a certain inertia in persisting in succeeding administrations, even when they’re managed by the other party. (The words “Afghanistan” and “ObamaCare” come to mind.) China may believe that it’ll meet more hostility on balance from a Democratic president than it will from Trump, particularly if it earns his good favor by lending him a hand quietly in his reelection effort.

Ukraine President Says ‘There Was No Blackmail’ from Trump, Thinks Call Transcript ‘Matches Completely’

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Thursday rejected claims that President Donald Trump has attempted to blackmail him in diplomatic relations this year.

Zelensky told reporters his now-controversial July 25 phone call with Trump was not related to the U.S. having withheld foreign aid from Ukraine.

In fact, the Ukrainian president said he was not aware of Trump’s decision to withhold the nearly $400 million in aid at the time of their phone conversation.

And he believes the transcript of the phone call reflects that.

“There was no blackmail,” Zelensky said during a day of televised news briefings in Kiev, according to Reuters.

TRENDING: Breaking Report: It’s Starting to Look Like Mueller Lied Under Oath

“This was not the subject of our conversation,” he added.

The July phone call has come under immense scrutiny in recent weeks after an intelligence community whistleblower came forward with allegations that Trump leveraged U.S. foreign aid to pressure Ukraine into digging up dirt on former vice president and 2020 Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden.

Biden’s son, Hunter, used to sit on the board of the Ukrainian energy firm Burisma Holdings, which was at one time investigated by a prosecutor who Biden — the Obama administration’s point man for Ukrainian foreign policy — pressured the country to fire.

Earlier this year, a Ukrainian anti-corruption government agency requested that the investigation into Burisma be reopened — in part due to”unusual transactions” worth millions of dollars, according to investigative reporter and Fox News contributor John Solomon.

Alleging that Trump tried to improperly leverage U.S. aid for the purpose of forcing Ukraine to investigate the Bidens, House Democrats announced a formal impeachment inquiry against the president late last month.

Do you think the impeachment inquiry against Trump is legitimate?

Earlier this week, though, Solomon revealed Ukraine had reopened its Burisma investigation long before Trump’s July phone call with Zelensky.

Zelensky further undermined the case against Trump on Thursday, telling reporters his defense minister did not inform him of the issue with the U.S. aid until after the call.

RELATED: Ukrainian Lawmaker Says Joe Biden Took $900k from Burisma While Still in Office, Claims To Have Documents Proving It

Instead, he said purpose of the call was to schedule a formal meeting with Trump to ask that the U.S. walk back its anti-Ukraine rhetoric.

Zelensky also said he sees no reason not to believe the Ukrainian and White House transcripts of the call do not “completely” match.

“I didn’t even check [the Ukrainian version], but I think that it matches completely,” he said.

CNN Says It’s Sexist To Scrutinize Elizabeth Warren’s Lies

It’s the media’s job to investigate and report the truth about important people and events — at least, it used to be.

These days, it seems that following facts no matter where they lead has been replaced by progressive pandering. It’s hard to come to any other conclusion, especially after a jaw-dropping piece published by CNN on Wednesday.

The left-leaning news network has essentially declared that questioning an unlikely story told by a female presidential candidate is sexist. Forget fact-checking and holding powerful people accountable; if a politician is the correct gender, they apparently get special treatment.

“Warren pregnancy debate another example of sexism in the guise of scrutiny,” the bold headline on CNN read.

The accompanying article by the network’s national political writer Brandon Tensley goes on to shame competing news outlets for noticing that Elizabeth Warren seems to fib a lot.

TRENDING: Breaking Report: It’s Starting to Look Like Mueller Lied Under Oath

“Earlier this week, Elizabeth Warren, a Massachusetts senator and Democratic presidential candidate, was asked about a story that she’s mentioned often on the campaign trail,” CNN reported.

“In 1971, when she was 22 years old and completing her first year of teaching, she lost her job once it became clear that she was visibly pregnant,” the outlet continued.

At least, that’s the version told by Warren. The story seemed to bolster the candidate’s “persistent woman in a world of mean men” shtick.

But when several media organizations checked, they found some pretty compelling evidence that the real timeline of events was significantly different. Actual county documents from the time — which can be viewed online — suggest that the school board eagerly renewed the young teacher’s employment contract.

Should Warren receive the same scrutiny as other candidates?

100% (4 Votes)

0% (0 Votes)

It also appears that it was Warren who resigned from the teaching job of her own accord. In other words, it was the complete opposite of being fired for becoming pregnant, deflating the entire woe-is-me story.

In an appalling show of abandoning actual journalism in favor of protecting a liberal narrative, CNN decided to scold other outlets for reporting this discrepancy.

“But over the past few days, conservative news sites and mainstream outlets either have sought to directly refute Warren’s account or have disputed it in such a way that it seems as if there’s some reason to doubt that a school in the early 1970s would fire a pregnant woman,” Tensley wrote, linking to articles from the Washington Free Beacon and CBS News.

The reason this story is getting attention, in the eyes of CNN? Sexism!

Fact-checking Warren’s story of being fired “shines a light on the inveterate sexism — women as unreliable narrators, women as answerable for their husbands’ professional lives, women as weak,” the CNN contributor wrote.

RELATED: Rep. Raskin’s Impeachment Media Conference Was So Bad Even CNN Analyst Called It a ‘Hot Mess’

It couldn’t possibly be that Warren is seen as an “unreliable narrator” because she keeps telling fibs. No, the only possible reason is that she is a woman, and can’t you just leave her alone?

This is a perfect example of an establishment media outlet running interference for their darling candidate, all while pretending to be unbiased and committed to facts. The message is clear: Warren is supposed to get a free pass on her exaggerations because she is a woman.

And that is the real irony to all of this. By breathlessly protecting Warren, liberal outlets like CNN are actually acting as if women are less capable and less equal than male presidential candidates.

If leftists truly believe that women should be treated the same as men, then they should have no problem running the same fact-checks. If Warren is truly prepared to run for president of the most powerful nation on earth, she ought to be able to weather basic scrutiny of her campaign stories.

That’s called journalism. Too bad it seems to be such a foreign concept at CNN these days.
