Trump moves to protect taxpayers from immigrant medical bills. Let’s do the same at the border, too

Here’s a novel question: We are all struggling with a cumbersome and expensive health care industry, trying to find ways to fix a broken system for Americans. Why on earth would we invite the rest of the world to access our system for free?

That was essentially the question pro-sovereignty figures in the Trump administration asked before they pushed for the new rule announced Friday to bar admission of those immigrants who show up at our hospitals without insurance or any way to pay out of pocket.

Section 212(a)(4) of the Immigration and Nationality Act (INA) states that an individual seeking admission to the United States or seeking to adjust his status to permanent resident (obtaining a green card) is inadmissible if the individual “at the time of application for admission or adjustment of status, is likely at any time to become a public charge.” There is no greater public charge than someone coming here specifically to access our hospitals for immediate or long-term medical care without a means of paying for it. Either way, our doctors will always treat a patient seeking help, but the American taxpayer is stuck with the tab.

Therefore, the president issued a proclamation ordering that effective November 30, most immigrants seeking entry must be “covered by approved health insurance … within 30 days” of entry, or “possess … the financial resources to pay for reasonably foreseeable medical costs.” The criteria for what constitutes coverage are very loose. The applicant can hold any catastrophic plan or show the ability to pay out of pockets. This is not like an Obamacare mandate on immigrants; it’s simply to say that taxpayers must not be saddled with a substantial bill.

The order is yet another way of simply enforcing existing public charge laws that were supported by both parties throughout our history. It will not affect those who were already granted immigrant visas, only those seeking them after the effective date. It also exempts children of U.S. citizens seeking entry, children under 18 coming here alone, or parents of immigrants who are sponsored.

Of course, according to the Left, everything is about race. “While Trump wants to use health care as a weapon to advance a racist and xenophobic agenda, we are going to guarantee health care to all and we’re going to win,” whined Bernie Sanders in a tweet Saturday morning.

Now, almost every Democrat candidate supports taxpayer-subsidized health care and insurance for illegal aliens too. As conservative health care expert Chris Jacobs observed, just last generation, none other than Hillary Clinton opposed offering free health care coverage to illegal aliens because “we do not want to do anything to encourage more illegal immigration into this country.” She noted in her testimony before Congress in 1993 that “too many people come in for medical care, as it is. We certainly don’t want them having the same benefits that American citizens are entitled to have.”

This sentiment was expressed in the text of the welfare reform legislation of 1996, the Personal Responsibility and Work Opportunity Act of 1996 (PRWOA), which was signed into law by her husband: “It is a compelling government interest to remove the incentive for illegal immigration provided by the availability of public benefits.”

The Trump administration would be wise to disseminate the clip of Hillary widely and expand the health care proclamation to the most obvious culprits: illegal immigrants. While this order targets those seeking free health care through the visa system, why should those who crash our border we any better off?

Yet over the past year, thousands upon thousands have come to our border for the express purpose of seeking health care. The American people have the right to know how much is being spent on health care for illegal aliens at our border. Agents have taken 21,000 sick or injured illegal aliens to the hospital from January through July, consuming 250,000 agent man-hours. What is the tab of that, and who is paying for it?

Using a formula from Steven Camarota of the Center for Immigration Studies (CIS), it’s estimated that the lifetime cost of just this year’s flow of illegal immigrants could easily top $150 billion. But the health care costs are often immediate. Many of the illegal aliens who flooded the border came for expensive long-term medical treatments, not just triage for dehydration resulting from the perilous journey north.

In August, Todd Bensman, senior national security fellow for CIS, visited the border and was told by agents that many are coming for long-term treatments. “What they told me is that probably half to two-thirds of everyone that they apprehend those families, family units are going to the emergency room, into the hospital, are getting full treatment, from cardiovascular assessments, MRIs, and X-rays,” reported Bensman on my podcast at the time.

Ultimately, taxpayers are covering this through DHS’ budget with funds that should be used for homeland security and protecting Americans from all those who infiltrate and never get caught. I’ve also heard from border agents that, upon interviewing illegal aliens at the border, they found more of them coming for health care, especially pregnant women, but also those seeking long-term care for ailments such as AIDS. Astoundingly, some illegal aliens are now suing ICE because they don’t like the quality of the medical care!

Much of this will be ameliorated through the administration’s other reforms at the border, but still, there is no reason this public charge rule on health care shouldn’t apply just as rigorously to border-crashers. This new order invokes sections 212(f) and 215(a) of the INA, which give the president full authority to suspend or regulate any immigration of any sort to any place of entry when he deems it in the national interest. I’m glad the administration has finally discovered this authority, but the president should use it more broadly at the actual land border as well.

Our legal immigration and visa system is definitely broken, but nothing matches the fiscal cost of illegal immigration.

Facebook’s Definition of Privacy: Tracking Everything You Do

Facebook’s new private messaging app requests 24/7 access to users’ location, battery, workout data, and more, demonstrating that Mark Zuckerberg and the Masters of the Universe have a very different definition of privacy than their users.

Business Insider reports that Facebook’s newest messaging app, Threads, is designed to be used as a private messaging app only for a user’s closest friends. But, the app requests a massive amount of user data in order to operate. The app was announced on Thursday as a companion messaging app to image-sharing platform Instagram and lets you send messages and status updates only to people that have been designed as “Close Friends” on the platform.

However, Threads asks for a significant amount of data from users showing that Facebook’s desire to collect as much personal information as possible has not been deterred by its numerous privacy scandals in recent months. Business Insider found that Facebook’s new Threads app requests:

  • Continuous access to your location
  • Your movement and fitness activity
  • Your battery level
  • Whether you’re connected to WiFi or mobile data or not
  • Your closest friends, per your Instagram “Closest Friends” list

If given access, Threads can collect a large amount of personal data that could be used to form an in-depth profile of users. It is unclear if such information could be used to inform Facebook’s ad-targeting system. Facebook has attempted to rebrand itself as a “privacy-focused” firm following its many data scandals such as the Cambridge Analytica scandal which left 80 million of the platform users’ personal data vulnerable.

Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg recently defended the company’s plans to encrypt its messaging services, making it so that the company would not have access to user’s chat logs. But now, the United States, Britain, and Australia have signed an open letter requesting that the firm suspend these plans as it could have a negative effect on the fight against child exploitation and terrorism.

Speaking on a livestream during the company’s weekly internal Q&A session, Zuckerberg announced he was aware this could be an issue and acknowledged that encryption would reduce the number of tools available to fight the problem. Zuckerberg stated: “When we were deciding whether to go to end-to-end encryption across the different apps, this was one of the things that just weighed the most heavily on me.”

Users that want to try Facebook’s new Threads app without providing that much information to the firm can do so, but it will undermine of the apps key features called “auto-status” which automatically tells friends what you’re up to by detecting movement and activity. The app will state “at the gym” when it detects a user is working out or ” at the beach” when a user is located close to the ocean.

More than 2.5 Million Households Drop Off Food Stamps Under Trump

More than 2.5 million households dropped off food stamps since President Donald Trump’s first full month in office, according to U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) data.

The most recent USDA data shows that 2,543,924 households stopped receiving Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits— the program in charge of food stamps— between the end of Trump’s first full month in office and July 2019.

As of July 2019, the most current data available, 18,393,979 households and 36,285,397 individuals have participated in the nation’s food stamp program.

But USDA officials said those numbers are “preliminary” due to the 2018 government shutdown, which affected food stamp administration at the beginning of 2019.

Although the numbers are preliminary, individuals and households on food stamps had consistently declined since 2013 under the Obama administration when enrollment reached its peak in U.S. history.

After 2013, SNAP enrollment plunged once state legislatures passed laws requiring food stamp recipients to work, attend school, volunteer, or participate in job training for at least 20 hours per week to receive benefits.

The downward trend has continued under Trump and reached historic lows throughout his presidency.

Breitbart News reported in July the number of individuals partaking in the nation’s food stamp program reached its lowest enrollment for the first time in ten years— and two years within former President Barack Obama’s first term in office, with 35,993,281 individuals taking part in SNAP.

Trump has signified he wants food stamp enrollment to go down even more, telling Breitbart News in a March Oval Office interview that he does not want immigrants coming to the U.S. to be dependent on food stamps.

“I don’t want to have anyone coming in that’s on welfare,” Trump told Breitbart News in March.

The Trump administration has started to make good on Trump’s promise to reduce food stamp enrollment, recently releasing several policies that would close loopholes for those taking advantage of the nation’s food stamp program.

The USDA issued a proposal in July that would close a “loophole” allowing 3.1 million people who already receive benefits from a non-cash welfare program to receive food stamps through SNAP.

The Trump administration also released a “public charge rule” in August which would deny green cards to immigrants or make it harder for them to obtain them if they have a history of using welfare benefits such as food stamps. The final version of the rule is set to go into effect on October 15, according to the federal register.

Nolte: If Mitt Romney Had Integrity He Would Criticize Someone Other than Trump

Carpetbagging Sen. Mitt Romney’s (R-UT) obsession with criticizing President Trump does not prove him to be a decent man, it proves him to be an immoral coward.

Agreeing or disagreeing has nothing to do with my admiration for someone’s character. Anyone familiar with my work knows that while I disagree with almost everything they stood for, I consider Muhammad Ali and Malcolm X to be two of our greatest 20th century Americans.

You see, it’s easy to admire Abraham Lincoln and Rev. Martin Luther King (and I do); it’s easy because there’s very little to disagree with either of them about.

Muhammad Ali and Malcolm X, however, could be very disagreeable.

But in pursuit of what they believed in, both men stood firm against the unrelenting wrath of the two most powerful forces in America: the federal government and the media. What’s more, both men were willing to be ostracized by their own. Ali enraged a mostly-Christian black community when he converted to Islam and joined the Nation of Islam. And when Malcolm X left the Nation of Islam, he left impoverished (he didn’t even own his home) and with a target on his back an assassin’s bullet would soon find.

Muhammad Ali and Malcolm X were great Americans for a reason that has nothing to do with politics or issues and everything to do with principle: Muhammad Ali was his Own Man. Malcolm X was his Own Man.

Nothing is more American than being your Own Man.

With that in mind, I have a question for those who fall all over themselves to gush over Moral Mitt Romney…

Why is it that oh-so principled Mitt Romney ONLY attacks Donald Trump?

Why does oh-so courageous Mitt Romney single out Trump and only Trump with his Mighty Morality?

Seriously, answer me that: Why ONLY Trump?

A quick perusal of Romney’s verified Twitter account reveals that Moral Mitt’s oh-so principled courage is saved for one man … the man who turned him down for Secretary of State, the man who won the job Mitt lost, the man who captured the Republican Party by discarding all of Mitt’s terrible ideas: forever wars, discriminating against gays, being the world’s policeman, open borders, lousy trade deals, and driving around with the family dog on the roof of your car.

I fail to see the courage or morality within a man who only ever attacks Trump, and does so to the eternal glee of the establishment media, the Deep State, left-wing Democrats, and pious Never Trumpers.

True character requires moral courage, the willingness to take flaming arrows from your own, to risk the “good opinion” of those who already hold a “good opinion” of you.

Has no one other than Trump offended this oh-so decent man’s sense of decency?

According to his public statements and Twitter feed, other than a tweet or two criticizing socialism and one weak, little, platitudinal tweet about how “Rep. Tlaib took the politics of Washington deeper down the drain,” the answer is no. Not once has Romney dared to color outside “approved” boundaries enforced by Democrats and the media.

Think about this…

When the media compare Republican voters to Nazis, Moral Mitt remains mum.

When antisemitism finds safe haven in the Democrat Party, Moral Mitt remains mum.

When Democrats openly advocate for post-birth abortion, Moral Mitt remains mum.

When the media repeatedly lie about Brett Kavanaugh and the Covington High School boys, Moral Mitt remains mum.

All these deep state leakers? Not a word from Moral Mitt.

Where is this courageous man of character, this fearless truth-teller, this brave and principled moral leader when it comes to someone other than President Trump?

He’s nowhere.

Because he’s not a man of character willing to call them as he sees them.

If he were, he would criticize Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer, and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez every once in a  while — meaning he would risk the fury of the corporate media.

Moral Mitt has not even tweeted criticism of a left-wing terrorist group we call Antifa.

No, it’s only ever Trump…

Oh, and heaven forbid Moral Mitt turns his oh-so principled principles on the media — on CNN, or MSNBC, or the Washington Post or the New York Times.

Moral Mitt refuses to do that because no matter how bigoted or nasty or dishonest or hateful or violent any of the above get, were Moral Mitt to speak up, he would be risking the good opinion of the media and Never Trump, and all the other members of his awful, little tribe.

As I write this, my respect for Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) has increased. You want to know why? Because he’s a staunch Trump ally who is right now criticizing Trump over his decision to exit Syria.

On this matter, I agree with Trump and disagree with Graham, but Graham is showing character in his public break with Trump.

You see how this works?

Romney has no character. None. If he did, he would lash out at someone other than the man who turned him down for Secretary of State, he would aim his Mighty Morality at a target that might result in an ugly CNN news-cycle or a mean tweet from fangirl Jennifer Rubin.

But Moral Mitt will never do that because he is not a decent man. Rather, he is a small, cowardly, bitter, envious member of a small, cowardly, bitter, and envious tribe. And it was this smallness and cowardice that cost him the presidency in 2012. Imagine the difference it would have made if Romney had been half as willing to go after Obama as he does Trump. But going after Obama requires actual courage.

Mitt Romney is a quisling hiding behind a phony shield of virtue, and if the rest of the Republican Party ever decide to follow his lead again, the Party will be doomed for a generation.

The grassroots will never support a quisling.

Exclusive – Devin Nunes: Intelligence Community Inspector General ‘Knowingly Changed’ Whistleblower Complaint Form

Rep. Devin Nunes (R-CA), the top Republican on the House Intelligence Committee, said Sunday the intelligence community inspector general (ICIG), with whom an intelligence official filed a whistleblower complaint against President Trump, “knowingly changed” the complaint form in order to help get the complaint out publicly.

Nunes told Sirius XM’s Breitbart News Sunday host Matt Boyle, “[The ICIG is] either totally incompetent or part of the deep state, and he’s got a lot of questions he needs to answer because he knowingly changed the form and the requirements in order to make sure that this whistleblower complaint got out publicly.”

Nunes’s comments come after the ICIG, Michael Atkinson, testified to lawmakers on Friday.

“So he’s either incompetent or in on it, and he’s going to have more to answer for, I can promise you, because we are not going to let him go; he is going to tell he truth about what happened,” Nunes added.

Nunes also said the intelligence official who filed the complaint had filled out an old complaint form that said the complainant must have firsthand information related to the alleged wrongdoing. The form was updated sometime after the official filed his complaint, to not require firsthand knowledge.

“First of all, you have the change of the forms. … You no longer had to have firsthand information; you had to have secondhand information. Clearly they backdated it to August. The evidence is clear that it didn’t change on the website until the 25th of September,” he said.

“So the form that the whistleblower filled out — he actually filled out the old form that said you had to have firsthand knowledge. The whistleblower readily admits he doesn’t have firsthand knowledge. So conveniently the IG did this, claims that was always the case, claims it wasn’t the law; I already told you, he’s going to have more questions to answer,” he said.

‘South Park’ Now Banned In China After Latest Episode Pokes Fun At Censorship

The cartoon, “South Park,” known for its irreverent — and often pointed — political humor, has been banned in China and mentions of it removed from the internet after the show poked fun at Chinese censors in its latest episode.

The episode, appropriately titled “Band in China,” mocked American submission to Chinese government demands, and for that, Business Insider reports, “South Park’s” creators got precisely what they predicted (and, arguably, asked for).

The Hollywood Reporter adds that “South Park” has been “scrubbed from the internet” in the Asian powerhouse country, and Chinese authorities have deleted “all clips, episodes, and discussions of the Comedy Central show” from the government-run social network, Weibo, and from the Chinese YouTube clone, Youku.

“A cursory perusal through China’s highly regulated Internet landscape shows the show conspicuously absent everywhere it recently had a presence. A search of the Twitter-like social media service Weibo turns up not a single mention of South Park among the billions of past posts. On streaming service Youku, owned by Internet giant Alibaba, all links to clips, episodes and even full seasons of the show are now dead,” according to the Hollywood reporter.

Other Chinese networks were clear that viewers were banned by the government from accessing “South Park” by design. “If users manually type in the URL for what was formerly the South Park thread [on China’s discussion forum, Baidu], a message appears saying that, ‘According to the relevant law and regulation, this section is temporarily not open.’”

The episode was a one-two punch at China over both its strict censorship of American media and its use of concentration camps to hold political prisoners, including more than one million ethnic Chinese Muslims. In it, Randy is sent to a Chinese indoctrination camp, “similar to those Beijing has been using in Xinjiang Provence to hold as many as a million Chinese Muslims for political indoctrination” after he’s caught selling marijuana while on vacation.

The show’s main characters, Stan, Jimmy, Kenny and Butters, form a metal band that becomes intensely popular in China and inspires a documentary, which, subsequently, has to be edited over and over (including by Chinese government officials) to meet censorship requirements for Chinese distribution. The boys eventually begin a new band and vow not to support anyone who changes their art for China. Randy ends up fully indoctrinated (and then some).

The episode even poked fun at China’s ban on Winnie the Pooh, which they instituted after Chinese citizens were reportedly using the Disney character to mock Chinese president-for-life Xi Jinping, and skewered both Disney and Marvel for repeatedly bowing to Chinese censors.

The episode was very timely, as the Hollywood Reporter points out. On Sunday, the NBA and the Houston Rockets basketball team was forced to issue a groveling apology to China after Rockets general manager Daryl Morey dared to express support for pro-democracy protests currently taking place in Hong Kong in a single Tweet.

The move met with anger from both sides of the aisle, and both the NBA and Morey were deeply criticized for trying to “save” the NBA’s presence in China by begging for Chinese forgiveness.

Trump Proclamation Bars Immigrants Who Cannot Afford Health Insurance

The Trump administration will require many future immigrant applicants to prove they can afford health insurance, marking the White House’s latest move to restrict immigration from those who could become a financial burden on the government.

President Donald Trump, invoking his executive authority, issued a proclamation Friday evening that will prohibit the entry of immigrants applying for visas unless they prove they can obtain health insurance within 30 days of entering the U.S. or otherwise indicate they can afford their own medical care.

dailycallerlogo

“The United States has a long history of welcoming immigrants who come lawfully in search of brighter futures. We must continue that tradition while also addressing the challenges facing our healthcare system, including protecting both it and the American taxpayer from the burdens of uncompensated care,” Trump said in the proclamation. “Continuing to allow entry into the United States of certain immigrants who lack health insurance or the demonstrated ability to pay for their healthcare would be detrimental to these interests.”

The directive, published on the White House’s website, will go into effect on Nov. 3.

Notably, the subsidized health care plans found on Obamacare exchanges will not qualify as eligible forms of insurance under the new rule.

“While lawful immigrants qualify for [Affordable Care Act] subsidies, they’ll be stuck in a catch-22 because subsidized coverage does not qualify as insurance under the proclamation,” Larry Levitt, executive vice president for health policy at the Kaiser Family Foundation, said Friday on Twitter.

The order will apply to any foreign national who applies for an immigrant visa abroad and cannot obtain health insurance within 30 days of entering the U.S. or does not have the financial ability to cover their own medical care. Those with ties to family members in the U.S. are not exempt from the rule. However, asylees and refugees will not be impacted, and neither will noncitizen children of U.S. citizens. Those who have already obtained immigrant visas also will not have worry.

The health care proclamation is Trump’s latest move to restrict immigration from those who are likely to become dependent on U.S. government benefits.

U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services acting Director Ken Cuccinelli, for example, rolled out a directive in August that takes into account an immigrant’s use of government benefits when deciding whether or not to grant them permanent status.

Known as the “public charge” rule, the directive makes it more difficult for immigrants to obtain permanent status if they have used any number of public benefits, such as Medicaid, food stamps, Section 8 housing, cash assistance, or other programs.

“Immigrants who enter this country should not further saddle our healthcare system, and subsequently American taxpayers, with higher costs,” Trump wrote in his proclamation.

Ukraine’s President: ‘I Was Never Pressured’ by Trump, ‘No Conditions’ Were Imposed

Volodymyr Zelensky has been Ukraine’s president since May. (Photo by Sergei Supinsky/AFP/Getty Images)

(CNSNews.com) – Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Saturday again denied having been put under any pressure by President Trump, during a July phone conversation, to investigate Joe Biden or his son’s business dealings in Ukraine – an allegation at the center of the Democratic impeachment inquiry.

In what was billed as his first major interview by non-Ukrainian media since the row erupted, Zelensky was quoted as telling Japan’s Kyodo News agency that neither his invitation to the White House nor the sale of anti-tank missiles to Ukraine were made conditional on his willingness to cooperate in the Biden matter.

“I was never pressured and there were no conditions being imposed” to secure an Oval Office meeting with Trump or the weaponry, he said.

Zelensky said he had had no discussions with Kurt Volker, the former U.S. special envoy for Ukraine, about investigations into Biden, as a condition for being invited to visit Washington. Neither would he have accepted such a condition, he said.

According to a memo on the July 25 phone call, released by the White House last month, after Trump raised concerns about the Biden issue Zelensky told him that Ukraine’s new prosecutor general will “look into the situation.”

Zelensky told Kyodo News he was merely stating that if U.S. investigators want help on the matter and take the necessary steps, then Ukraine could oblige by setting up a joint investigative committee.

He pointed out that under Ukraine’s Constitution the country’s president does not have the power to compel the prosecutor-general or investigative authorities to look into a particular case.

Zelensky said he told Trump that if U.S. prosecutors asked for Ukrainian cooperation in an investigation based on international law, then – in line with Ukraine’s domestic laws – it could set up a joint investigative committee to probe the issue at hand.

In 2014 Vice President Biden’s son, Hunter, joined the board of Ukraine’s largest independent gas producer, Burisma Holdings, whose owner, an oligarch and former government minister named Mykola Zlochevsky, was under suspicion of corrupt practices.

At a time of escalating tensions with Russia over its military intervention in Ukraine, President Obama had given his vice president the task of overseeing U.S.-Ukraine relations.

In the course of his dealings with Ukraine – he visited the country six times as vice president – Biden in 2016 threatened to withhold $1 billion in loan guarantees for Kyiv unless then-President Petro Poroshenko fired his prosecutor-general, Viktor Shokin.

Shokin, who was widely viewed as ineffective in combating endemic corruption in Ukraine, was soon thereafter removed from his post. But the fact he had been in the process of investigating Burisma’s oligarch owner Zlochevsky prompted suspicion in some quarters that Biden’s threat to withhold the loan guarantees had been improper.

‘Self-interest’

Armed with a complaint by an anonymous whistleblower, Trump’s Democratic critics are accusing him of abusing his power as president to pressure Zelensky to provide damaging information on Biden, who is campaigning for the party’s 2020 presidential nomination.

They claim that his decision to hold up military aid for Ukraine that Congress had appropriated was part of this supposed pressure; Trump denies that, asserting that he withheld the aid because of concerns of corruption in Ukraine, and out of frustration that Ukraine’s European neighbors were not doing more to help.

Zelensky told the Japanese news outlet that he believes different parties and camps are releasing information in their own self-interest ahead of the 2020 U.S. presidential elections.

Ukraine’s Interfax news agency on Friday quoted the country’s current prosecutor-general, Ruslan Riaboshapka, as saying his office was conducting an audit of previous investigations relating to Burisma Holdings.

“We are now reviewing all the cases which were closed, fragmented or investigated earlier in order to make a decision on cases where illegal procedural decisions were taken,” he said.

Hunter Biden reportedly stood down from the Burisma board in April this year.

After Trump, We’re Next

The Democrats in 2016 graciously gave Americans the opportunity to do as we were told and vote for Hillary Clinton.  And just as we so many times disappointed Barack Obama, we failed them as well, proving our illegitimacy as a citizenry.

Electing Trump was the last straw for them – plastic, of course, paper is for us rabble.  They used to want only our money, but since we elected Trump, they’ve decided to come for everything else we enjoy as free citizens of the Republic.

Trump is all that stands between the America we cherish and the left’s policies for “fundamentally transforming the United States of America.”  They know that for us, 2020 is a “Flight 93” election and impeaching Trump on what is the thinnest of gruel, and arguably the finest example of projection today, is a last-ditch effort to either depose him or damage him enough politically to make him unelectable come next November.

With the media, their unctuous allies in scurrility, the left knows every specious allegation will be portrayed as fact in every article, on every news panel, and in every talking-head utterance.  It used to be the “big lie.”  Now it is a million little lies told by a camarilla of politicians and skirling media that they hope will rid the left of their Orange Man bane.

The left must make sure that someone like Trump never happens again, should they succeed at deposing Trump, or better yet, damaging him to the point where he loses in 2020, for defeating him at the polls can be trumpeted as the “will of the people.”

They will take our citizenship.  Citizens have the right to vote and that is something they can’t fully rig until they accumulate enough power to implement democracy as Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan understands democracy: “One election, once.”  Instead, they are honing the art of cheating and weakening election integrity efforts while flooding the country with enough illegal aliens to negate our vote and guarantee eternal leftist primacy.  In short, they will replace us with a more compliant citizenry.

Note: Living in the Bronx, it is now illegal for me to use the “derogation” “illegal aliens.”  Should I be afraid?  Am I Spartacus like Cory or like Kirk?

They will take our guns.  A well-armed, regnant populace believing the “right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed” cannot so easily be forced to give up their liberty to an all-knowing clerisy intent on saving us even if it kills us.  It won’t affect them; they will keep their armed guards and walled estates.  And if blood must be spilled to disarm us, they won’t mind.  It won’t be their blood — or so they think.  As my mother used to say, “They have another ‘think’ coming.”

They will take our cars, our large homes, inexpensive fuel for heating, and our affordable electricity.  A mobile population is a free population, and a citizenry warm in their homes with electricity cheap enough to afford is too comfortable to need their “solutions” and too free to be constrained at their whim.

They’ve decided that no one needs more than 300 square feet per person; large private residences are wasteful, and we are selfish and greedy for working hard to buy them.  Our avaricious self-interest must be eliminated, not only to save the planet but to build a better world for all.  We must be forced to live within “stacked” cities in tiny apartments, cantilevered around mass transit hubs close to our jobs with no hope of escape.  No hope in general.

“Try to say, ‘No,’ now, you deplorable bastards.”

People think the Green New Deal is about saving the planet — it’s not; it’s about control; it’s about socialism.  Saikat Chakrabarti, Sandy O’s pappy-puppeteer, admitted as much.  We’re not supposed to notice our elite will keep their cars, and their 5,000-plus square feet multiple mansions.  Our ruling elite will be able to afford fuel and electricity at 10x today’s price while enjoying the added benefit of no traffic to impede the progress of their limousines.  Ala Al Gore, the porcine prophet of climate doom, they’ll buy carbon offsets to maintain their Thunberg purity.

They will take away our right to say what we want when we want without fear of government reprisal.  Because a people allowed to speak freely can “stand athwart history and yell, ‘Stop!’”  Folks allowed to have their own opinions will eventually disagree, however minor the deviation.  And they can’t have that.

They will take our children, something they’ve been trying to do for generations.  Despots have always known that controlling youth creates controlled adults.  Any freedom from an anti-American curriculum we now enjoy will be eliminated, including home-schooling, private schools, and magnet schools.  When you start them young, they’re yours forever.

Impeaching Trump is their way of telling us to get in line, or else.  If you think of Trump, not as Trump, but as one of us, it becomes clear.  Destroying him is a way of telling us, “You’re next.”
