Trump Signs Order To Prevent Taxpayers From Subsidizing Health Care For Immigrants

President Trump on Friday signed a presidential proclamation that will prevent U.S. taxpayers from being forced to subsidize health care costs of legal immigrants, who will need to have their own insurance.

In the new rule, which goes into effect Nov. 3, most foreigners who apply for visas  will have to have their own employer-based health insurance or a non-subsidized private health insurance plan before they arrive. The rule does not apply to refugees or those seeking political asylum or nonimmigrant visas.

The proclamation reads in part:

Healthcare providers and taxpayers bear substantial costs in paying for medical expenses incurred by people who lack health insurance or the ability to pay for their healthcare.  Hospitals and other providers often administer care to the uninsured without any hope of receiving reimbursement from them.  The costs associated with this care are passed on to the American people in the form of higher taxes, higher premiums, and higher fees for medical services.

“While our healthcare system grapples with the challenges caused by uncompensated care, the United States Government is making the problem worse by admitting thousands of aliens who have not demonstrated any ability to pay for their healthcare costs,” the proclamation says. “Notably, data show that lawful immigrants are about three times more likely than United States citizens to lack health insurance. Immigrants who enter this country should not further saddle our healthcare system, and subsequently American taxpayers, with higher costs.”

The new rule is expected to save billions of dollars.

“In total, uncompensated care costs — the overall measure of unreimbursed services that hospitals give their patients — have exceeded $35 billion in each of the last 10 years.  These costs amount to approximately $7 million on average for each hospital in the United States, and can drive hospitals into insolvency.  Beyond uncompensated care costs, the uninsured strain Federal and State government budgets through their reliance on publicly funded programs, which ultimately are financed by taxpayers,” the proclamation says.

More than 22 million non-citizens now live in the United States, according to data released last week by the U.S. Census Bureau. According to estimates extrapolated from data collected, 22.1 million are “not a U.S. citizen,” the data showed. The statistics also showed a record 13.7% of the nation’s 2018 population — nearly 44.7 million people — was born in another country, Census bureau researchers said. That’s the highest number of foreign-born citizens since 1910. Most are from Latin America.

Between 1960 and 1970, just one in 20 U.S. residents was foreign born.

“Today’s foreign-born resident rate has surged to about one in seven in California, Texas, Florida, and New York — the nation’s largest states — where the foreign born population is 15 percent higher than it is elsewhere in America,” The Daily Mail reported.

States and cities across the country are also spending billions on aid to illegal aliens. Los Angeles County, for instance, paid nearly $1.3 billion in welfare money during 2015 and 2016 to families of illegal aliens. That number amounts to one-quarter of the total spent on the county’s entire needy population, according to Fox News.

In 2015, more than 58,000 families received $602 million in benefits. The next year, some 64,000 families received $675 million.

The sanctuary county of Los Angeles draws foreigners who enter the United States illegally and now has the largest concentration of any county in the nation, according to a study from the Migration Policy Institute. Illegal aliens in the county are allowed to receive welfare and food stamp benefits.

Robert Rector, a Heritage Foundation senior fellow who studies poverty and illegal immigration, told Fox the costs represent “the tip of the iceberg.”

“They get $3 in benefits for every $1 they spend,” Rector said, including the costs of education, police and fire, medical, and subsidized housing — which can total $24,000 per year in government spending per family.

As Bernie Pushes the Wonders of Socialism, Cuba Reverts to Horse-Drawn Carts

While Democratic presidential candidate and Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders is using a recent health scare to push for more socialism in America, Cuba is going back to horse-drawn carriages in the face of a fuel shortage.

Sanders was hospitalized and required heart surgery after experiencing chest pains Tuesday. Luckily, he later announced that he was feeling much better thanks to expert hospital staff.

In a tweet Wednesday, the senator said he was “feeling good.” He quickly followed this up with an endorsement for socialism in health care.

“None of us know when a medical emergency might affect us. And no one should fear going bankrupt if it occurs,” he said. “Medicare for All!”

TRENDING: Trump Calling Democrats’ Bluff, Will Reportedly Slap Pelosi with Ultimatum

But Sanders doesn’t need to institute sweeping changes in America to find out how well socialism works. All he has to do is take a look about 100 miles south of Florida.

A fuel shortage in Cuba is causing major pain for residents of the communist-run island.

The shortage is so bad that horse-drawn carriages are being used for public transportation.

According to Reuters, the government is hoarding the little fuel it has to keep hospitals powered.

Reuters and other media outlets, especially those on the left, blame this shortage on the fallout from U.S. sanctions levied against oil giant Venezuela. Cuba imports most of its oil from the South American country.

Don’t be fooled by this, however. The problem started well before President Donald Trump’s 2019 sanctions on the socialist nation.

According to Forbes, Venezuela’s attempt to seize assets from oil giants in 2007 caused the country’s oil production to nosedive. Production never recovered, and it sent the Venezuelan economy into a downward spiral. Despite having the world’s largest proven reserves of crude oil, the country is in an economic crisis.

The sharp decline in production resulted in less oil for Cuba. As the island slowly began to starve for fuel, tough choices needed to be made.

To complement the medieval horse-powered transport, cooks are now having to turn to wood and charcoal to prepare their food.

The tourist industry, an important source of income for the island, is being prioritized by the government and likely has adequate fuel — for now.

Meanwhile, the United States is experiencing an energy and manufacturing boom.

Would a Bernie Sanders presidency destroy the U.S. economy?

Thanks to President Trump, who cut regulation and unleashed the machine of capitalism, America is surging while our southern neighbors are experiencing harsh shortages.

Despite how poorly socialist countries manage even their most abundant resources, Bernie Sanders champions their systems of government as positive and progressive.

If he isn’t defeated in 2020, America could very well be facing the same realities as Cuba and Venezuela.

Nikki Haley Praises Trump On Foreign Policy: ‘Every American Should Be Proud’

Former U.S. ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley praised President Donald Trump on Friday and further commended his record on foreign policy as one that “every American should be proud of.”

“If you look around the world, President Trump has a record every American should be proud of,” Haley told Fox News. “In the Middle East, the ISIS caliphate has been destroyed, and we’ve stopped handing billions in cash to Iran that it used to fund terrorism. The North Korean regime is no longer testing long-range missiles. America is once again treating the Cuban dictatorship like the pariah it is, and [socialist dictator Nicolas] Maduro’s days are numbered in Venezuela.”

“America is strong again, and it is because of President Trump’s decisions,” she added.

Haley’s remarks come only a day before the Trump Victory Committee’s Fall Retreat is scheduled to kick off in New York City. The event is hosted by the Trump campaign, in partnership with the Republican National Committee (RNC) and Haley will be attending as a special guest alongside Sen. Cory Gardner (R-CO), Donald Trump Jr., and former Fox News host Kimberly Guilfoyle.

“I’m happy to partner with the RNC supporting President Trump’s re-election,” Haley said. “And I look forward to doing more for his campaign in the next year.”

The former governor of South Carolina is largely seen as a leading conservative woman in the Republican Party. After Haley resigned from herUnited Nations ambassadorship somewhat unexpectedly, speculation began swirling that she might be considering her own challenge to Trump in 2020 for the presidency. Haley, however, swiftly denied any potential for the a presidential run.

“For all of you that are going to ask about 2020 — no, I am not running for 2020,” Haley said at the time. “I can promise you what I will be doing is campaigning for this one. So, I look forward to supporting the president in the next election.”

Only months after leaving the Trump administration at the end of 2018, Haley launched Stand For America, an advocacy group that promotes “public policies that strengthen America’s economy, culture, and national security.” The move prompted speculation further that she might be positioning herself to replace Vice President Mike Pence as Trump’s running mate on the next ticket.

“Enough of the false rumors. Vice President Pence has been a dear friend of mine for years,” Haley tweeted in August. “He has been a loyal and trustworthy VP to the President. He has my complete support.”

While Haley has at times been critical of the president, she has also become a close ally of his over time. The relationship between the duo has evolved since she initially endorsed Trump’s primary challenger Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) during the 2016 election cycle, and later announced she was would be voting for Trump during the general election despite saying she was still “not a fan.”

The response drew the ire of Trump, who stated at the time that “the people of South Carolina are embarrassed by Nikki Haley!”

Haley notably replied, “Bless your heart.”

Deep State Liar and Scum Sally Yates Says Trump’s Interference Is “Even More Dangerous” Than Him Lying

Sally Yates is a proven liar and anti-Trump political operative.

Sally Yates is dishonest.  Sally is scum.

In May 2017 Former Attorney General Sally Yates went before Congress and testified about General Michael Flynn being compromised by Russia.

Yates knew General Michael Flynn was not compromised.
She lied anyway.

The Deep State was listening in on all of General Flynn’s conversations. They knew Russia had nothing on him. They knew this was a lie.

We also know that a Deep State spy set up General Flynn. And Flynn not only reported his trip to Russia before he went, he also took training on how to act and then provided the intelligence community information upon his return on what he learned. All of this information has been kept quiet by the intelligence community for two years until early this year.

Yates hid this evidence from Congress.

Many Americans are still praying Sally Yates faces justice for her lies under oath.

Now this…
On Friday Sally Yates, who has a long history of attacking President Donald Trump, lashed out at him again and accused him of “gaslighting” the American public.

Via Law and Crime:

Former acting U.S. Attorney General Sally Yates on Friday called out President Donald Trump for gaslighting Americans about his efforts to pressure the Ukrainian president to investigate former Vice President Joe Biden and son Hunter Biden…

…“After being caught secretly strong arming Ukraine, POTUS is trying to hypnotize the American people into believing it can’t be wrong if he says it out loud,” she tweeted.

She then went a step further, suggesting that while Trump’s persistent lies presented a clear danger to American democracy, that threat would be amplified if he actually believed his own justifications.

Twitter Erupts After Woman Tells AOC We Must ‘Start Eating Babies’ to Save the Planet

Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) (Photo by BRENDAN SMIALOWSKI/AFP/Getty Images)

(CNSNews.com) – Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) faced awkward moments during a town hall meeting on Thursday evening, when a woman stood up and said it was time to “start eating babies” to save the planet from imminent climate-induced doom.

The incident in Corona, New York sparked some heated posts on Twitter later, with President Trump, Donald Trump Jr., 2020 Democratic presidential hopeful Sen. Bernie Sanders, and Ocasio-Cortez herself among those weighing in.

“We’re not going to be here for much long [sic] because of the climate crisis,” the woman began, after standing up uninvited and being handed a microphone.

“We only have a few months left!” she declared. “I love that you support the Green [New] Deal but it’s not ge – getting rid of fossil fuel is not going to solve the problem fast enough.”

The woman, who spoke with a northern European accent and appeared to be deadly earnest, then referred to recent news reports about a Swedish professor having said “we can eat dead people.” (Snopes has raised questions about the accuracy of those reports.)

“But that’s not fast enough,” she continued, gesturing to a slogan on her T-shirt and removing a jacket so the words could be more clearly seen: “Save the Planet. Eat the Children.”

“So I think your next campaign slogan has to be this: ‘We’ve got to start eating babies.’ We don’t have enough time. There’s too much CO2! All of you, you’re, you’re, you know you’re pollutant. Too much CO2! “We have to start now. Please.”

And to Ocasio-Cortez again, “You are so great. I’m so happy that you really support the Green New Deal. But it’s not enough, you know. Even if we would bomb Russia? We still have too many people, too much pollution.”

“So we have to get rid of the babies – that’s a big problem. Just stopping having babies is not enough. We need to eat the babies.”

Amid growing murmurs, Ocasio-Cortez interjected, “No, thank you, thank you. We’ll go ahead.”

The microphone was moved away, and after some indistinct cross-talk, Ocasio-Cortez said, “One of the things that’s very important to us is that we need to treat the climate crisis with the urgency that it does present.”

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) listens to a member of her Oct. 3 town hall audience advise everyone to eat babies to save the planet. (Screen capture/C-SPAN)

“Luckily, we have more than a few months.” (“No, we don’t,” the woman was heard saying.)

“We do need to hit net zero [carbon emissions] in several years,” Ocasio-Cortez said. “But I think we all need to, to understand that there are a lot of solutions we have, that we can pursue. And that if we act in a positive way, there’s space for help. There’s – we are never beyond hope.”

The woman was seen being escorted out.

Later, Donald Trump Jr. posted a link to a video clip of the incident on Twitter, and commented, “Seems like a normal AOC supporter to me.”

President Trump then retweeted his son’s post, adding, “AOC is a Wack Job!”

“Better than being a criminal who betrays our country,” retorted Ocasio-Cortez.

Sanders, who underwent an emergency medical procedure this week, also reacted to Trump’s “Wack Job,” post, tweeting back at the president, “It’s going to be a real pleasure defeating you.”

An article last year in Psychology Today referred to a phenomenon called “eco-anxiety,” which the writer described as “a fairly recent psychological disorder afflicting an increasing number of individuals who worry about the environmental crisis.”

“Eco-anxiety” also featured in a 2017 American Psychological Association report examining what it called “the psychological impacts of climate change on human mental health and well-being.”

That report defined “eco-anxiety” as “a chronic fear of environmental doom.”

“Watching the slow and seemingly irrevocable impacts of climate change unfold, and worrying about the future for oneself, children, and later generations, may be an additional source of stress,” the APA report said, referencing earlier studies.

Schiff Collusion with Whistleblower the Last Straw

Perhaps House Intelligence Committee chairman Rep. Adam Schiff (D-Calif.), would like to produce a transcript of his secret meeting with Fusion GPS founder Glenn Simpson at the Aspen Security Forum in July 2018.  Or maybe someone like ranking member Devin Nunes (R-Calif.) can make up a “parody” and read it into the record, as Schiff did with President Trump’s call with Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelensky, both of whom publicly denied any collusion, pressure, or quid pro quo.

Liar and leaker Schiff had a transcript of the call and still made up his fable rivaling his fairy tale about having mounds of available evidence for everyone to see abut Trump’s mythical collusion with Russia.  We don’t have a transcript of Schiff’s meeting with Simpson, so we should be even freer to make stuff up about what each said, what each meant and heard, and what quid was promised for which quo.

Like Schiff’s Russian collusion delusion, Ukrainegate, to coin a phrase, is a made up scandal involving a questionable document with unverifiable or incorrect statements and allegations, chock-full of made up stuff and hearsay.  Like the Steele dossier produced through Fusion GPS, the Ukraine “whistleblower’s” letter to the inspector general is largely unverifiable hearsay or outright fiction.  Written by a CIA mole assigned to the White House who was not in the room or on the call, it is designed for one purpose: to bring down a sitting and duly elected president.

Now we find that Adam Schiff and committee staff had a copy of the letters before it was submitted to the I.G.  On Wednesday, the New York Times published a report that Schiff “learned about the outlines of a C.I.A. officer’s concerns that President Trump had abused his power days before the officer filed a whistle-blower complaint.”  As the New York Times related:

The early account by the future whistle-blower shows how determined he was to make known his allegations that Mr. Trump asked Ukraine’s government to interfere on his behalf in the 2020 election.  It also explains how Mr. Schiff knew to press for the complaint when the Trump administration initially blocked lawmakers from seeing it. …

Before going to Congress, the C.I.A. officer had a colleague convey his accusations to the agency’s top lawyer.  Concerned about how that avenue for airing his allegations was unfolding, the officer then approached a House Intelligence Committee aide, alerting him to the accusation against Mr. Trump.  In both cases, the original accusation was vague.

The House staff member, following the committee’s procedures, suggested the officer find a lawyer to advise him and file a whistle-blower complaint.  The aide shared some of what the officer conveyed to Mr. Schiff.

Schiff and his staff claim they had no hand in writing or editing the letter and did not coach the so-called whistleblower, even though his letter reads more like a legal brief written by a committee of lawyers.  Schiff, with  his track record, is not to be believed.

Take Schiff’s meeting with Simpson, an exercise in hypocrisy if nothing else.  Schiff, it may be remembered, accused House Intelligence Committee chair Devin Nunes of conspiracy with President Trump.  Conspiracies against President Trump and conspiring with Deep-State players are okay in Schiff’s alternate universe.  As Chuck Ross writes in the Daily Caller:

The Schiff-Simpson meeting has come under scrutiny because of Simpson’s role in pushing the unverified Trump-Russia collusion conspiracy theory.  Simpson has also been accused by some Republican lawmakers of lying to the House Intelligence Committee about his interactions with government officials while working on the dossier.

During testimony to the House panel on Nov. 14, 2017, Simpson withheld that he met with Justice Department official Bruce Ohr prior to the November 2016 election.  Simpson said that he met Ohr only after the election.  But Ohr told Congress on Aug. 28, 2018 that he and Simpson met on Aug. 22, 2016 at Simpson’s request.  They met again on Dec. 10, 2016.

Ohr’s wife worked as a contractor for Fusion during the 2016 campaign.  And after the election, Ohr served as the back channel between the FBI and Christopher Steele, the former British spy who worked for Fusion GPS on the dossier project.

During the same testimony in which Simpson has been accused of lying, Schiff sought investigative leads from the Fusion GPS founder.

Schiff,  who once called the rooftop heroes of Benghazi liars, is at it again.  He is not uncovering corruption; he is part of it.  His is the corruption that needs to be exposed, and his Intelligence Committee is part of the swamp that needs to be drained.

Count Schiff among the many leakers who have released classified information and testimony designed to damage and slander the Trump administration.  During the testimony of Donald Trump, Jr. before the House Intelligence Committee, Rep. Schiff repeatedly left the room.  Coincidentally, of course, leaked information from that testimony began appearing in anti-Trump media even before the testimony concluded:

Donald Trump Jr. and his lawyer formally requested an investigation Tuesday into leaks from the House Intelligence Committee that followed Trump’s participation in a closed-door interview with committee members and staffers last week.

“The public release of confidential non-public information by Committee members continued unabated” for 24 hours after Trump’s supposedly confidential interview last week, Trump’s lawyer, Alan Futerfas, wrote in a letter delivered Tuesday afternoon.

The four-page letter, addressed to Rep. K. Michael Conaway (R-Tex.), the panel chairman overseeing the Russia investigation, complains about public comments made by three members of the panel, all Democrats, including the highest-ranking minority member of the panel, Rep. Adam B. Schiff (D-Calif.).  The letter says that members and staffers began “selectively leaking information” even before the closed-door meeting ended.

Schiff sent a House intel staffer on a trip to Ukraine during August 24–31, just 12 days after receiving the whistleblower complaint.  To do what?  To dig up what?  It is reported the staffer met with the previous president of Ukraine, a friend of President Obama’s.

As reported by Gateway Pundit, Adam Schiff has strong ties to a prominent Ukrainian arms-dealer, Igor Pasternak, who has organized fundraisers for Schiff:

In 2013 Ukrainian Igor Pasternak held two different fund raisers for Schiff asking for contributions between $1,000 and $2,500[.] … Pasternak was reportedly in and around the Ukraine at the same time that Vice President Joe Biden had his son appointed to the Board of the Ukraine’s largest oil and gas producer[.]

Let’s investigate collusion with Ukraine to affect U.S. elections, Rep. Schiff.  Yours.

Schiff has defended Hillary Clinton and lied about her involvement in Uranium One and giving Russia 20 percent of our uranium reserves.  Talk about collusion with Russia!

Adam Schiff is a political hack, a swamp creature slithering past the truth while saying the American people can’t handle the truth.  What they can’t handle is swamp things like Adam Schiff.  It is he who should be impeached and removed from office

A new GOP comes out swinging

One way the Democrats could fulfill their dream of crippling President Trump (as opposed to simply running him out of office) would be to stampede the Republicans, to send them running wild-eyed for shelter from shouted accusations and piercing rays of adverse publicity. There is no shortage of weak-spined GOP officeholders, and it has happened many times before. The Dems had no reason to doubt that it would happen again.

But it’s not happening. Apart from the usual suspects such as Mitt Romney (Romney as Massachusetts governor was the sole politician to hold out against the Bulger brothers, but that was a long time ago), the GOP wall is holding firm with no defector or weak sister of any significance.

One example can be found in the confrontation between Indiana congressman Jim Banks and NPR’s Michel Martin this past Wednesday. Martin was fulfilling NPR’s unwritten charter of putting the wildest fringe leftist thinking into comfortable terms to make them acceptable to the denizens of the suburbs. Banks, a freshman representative who saw service in Afghanistan, wasn’t having any.

Martin was attempting to put across the accepted narrative about the Trump/Zelensky call – that Trump asked the Ukrainian president for dirt on Biden as a “favor,” that he immediately turned the conversation to Hunter Biden, that there was a “quid pro quo,” and so on, all backed up by her claim that she had the transcript “in front of her.”

Banks immediately cut to the chase on that, shutting down Martin with a single line:  “…read the part of the transcript that would indict the president on high crimes and misdemeanors.”

Of course, Martin could do no such thing, and despite some further word games, that was the end of it, leaving myriads of NPR listeners clutching their worry beads in shock and alarm.

Along with Elise Stefanik’s bold defiance of the House Democratic elite, this is a serious indication that a new GOP is pecking its way out of the shell. Stefanik (R-N.Y.), who sits on the House Intelligence Committee, relentlessly hammered Chairman Adam Schiff over the lies an inconsistencies regarding the “whistleblower,” ending with a demand that  ‘He should immediately step down as Chair. ‘

This is not your grandfather’s – or even your uncle’s – GOP. For generations, the GOP has accepted the role of the battered wife of American politics, cheated, beaten, and manipulated repeatedly with no response whatsoever. In fact, party officials – along with conservative spokesmen – have gone so far as to claim this as a virtue, in that being constantly humiliated in public was somehow keeping traditional values alive.

This, along with much else, has ended with Donald Trump. Trump has clearly demonstrated that the only way to answer a belligerent, hostile left is to go blow for blow with them. He has continued this round after round, and shows no sign whatsoever of backing off. (His current campaign commercial states flat out: “No more Mr. Nice Guy.”)

It appears that the younger GOP pols have been paying close attention. So along with his other accomplishments, President Trump has presented us with a clean new deck of cards at the political table. It’s about time.

WashPost Slaps Adam Schiff with Four Pinocchios for ‘Flat-Out False’ Claim

The Washington Post’s “Fact Checker” column hit House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff (D-CA) with four Pinocchios Friday for falsely claiming that his panel had “not spoken directly” with the partisan CIA officer behind a so-called “whistleblower” complaint about President Donald Trump.

According to the New York Times, the officer, who is reportedly a registered Democrat, initially directed a colleague to discuss his claims with the CIA’s top lawyer. Shortly after, the Deep Stater contacted a House Intelligence Committee aide to discuss the Trump-Zelensky call in which the world leaders discussed U.S. military aid and the business dealings of Hunter Biden, the son of former Vice President and 2020 White House candidate Joe Biden. The panel staffer shared several of the officer’s claims, which are based on secondhand information, with Schiff, but did not reveal his identity.

However, appearing September 17th on MSNBC, Schiff told contributor Sam Stein, “we have not spoken directly with the whistleblower.”

“We have not spoken directly with the whistleblower. We would like to,” Schiff told Stein when asked if he was in touch with the officer. “But I am sure the whistleblower has concerns that he has not been advised, as the law requires, by the inspector general or the director of national Intelligence just how he is supposed to communicate with Congress, and so the risk to the whistleblower is retaliation.”

Contrary to Schiff’s claims, the Post’s Glenn Kessler branded the California Democrat’s answer as “flat-out false.”

“He now says he’s was answering the wrong question, but if that was the case, he should have quickly corrected the record. He compounded his falsehood by telling reporters a few days later that if not for the [intelligence community inspector general’s] office, the committee would not have known about the complaint. That again suggested there had been no prior communication,” wrote Kessler.

“The explanation that Schiff was not sure it was the same whistleblower especially strains credulity,” the fact-checker went on. “Schiff earns Four Pinocchios.”

In a statement earlier this week, a spokesperson for the House Intelligence panel conceded the lawmaker’s “should have been more carefully phrased” in his response to the MSNBC contributor.

“Regarding Chairman Schiff’s comments on ‘Morning Joe,’ in the context, he intended to answer the question of whether the Committee had heard testimony from the whistleblower, which they had not,” said the press representative. “As he said in his answer, the whistleblower was then awaiting instructions from the acting [director of national intelligence] as to how the whistleblower could contact the Committee. Nonetheless he acknowledges that his statement should have been more carefully phrased to make that distinction clear.”

Kessler regularly grades statements by lawmakers, which in his column, range from one to four Pinocchios—with one Pinocchio counting as a minor offense to four being a certifiable falsehood.
