WHAT DEMOCRATS DON’T WANT YOU TO SEE: Overview of Crowdstrike – Firm that Claimed ‘Russia Hacked’ the US and the Ukraine – Is Now Under President Trump’s Radar

The most shocking piece in the transcript of the phone call between President Trump and the new President of Ukraine Zelensky is related to a company by the name of Crowdstrike.  Below is a summary of our reporting related to this company that is behind the false claims of Russia hacking in both the US and the Ukraine.

On Wednesday the Trump Administration released the White House transcript of President Trump’s call with President Zelensky of Ukraine.  In the transcript President Zelensky brought up Rudy Giuliani and his investigations with President Trump.

President Trump asked Zelensky to look into the 2016 election including information on Crowdstrike.

The President did not ask President Zelensky to investigate Joe Biden as was widely reported by the lying mainstream media.  But President Trump did drop the name of the company behind Russian hacking in the US and the Ukraine, Crowdstrike.

The transcript revealed President Trump is going after the origins of the Trump-Russia witch hunt.  Foreign Policy expert Tony Shaffer says this is what the left is most worried about.

Rush Limbaugh focused on this bombshell from the transcript on his Wednesday show.

Now, just a little bit more about CrowdStrike ’cause I have paid attention, there’s not a single — I haven’t seen a single report focus on CrowdStrike in this transcript. Now, I know why the Democrats are ignoring it. The Democrats are bent out of shape that Trump even knows about CrowdStrike. They think Trump’s an idiot. With Trump specifically zeroing in on CrowdStrike the Democrats have learned today, after reading that transcript, what Trump is really doing here.

Trump is soliciting assistance from allies all over the world to help Barr prove the scam run against him. That’s what’s going on. That’s what the Democrats have learned today with that word “CrowdStrike” being in the transcript. CrowdStrike, the founder of CrowdStrike is a Russian emigre who hates Putin with a purple passion. It seems to color CrowdStrike’s security work.

Prime example being when CrowdStrike claimed that the Russians had hacked the Ukraine artillery software during the time Russia was invading Ukraine. CrowdStrike claimed the Russian hack caused the Ukrainians to fire on their own troops, killing thousands of them. They were dead wrong about it! And that’s a massive thing to be wrong about. Because the only problem was Ukraine said there was no such hack and no such battle and there were no such casualties.

They said that CrowdStrike had made all of it up. And guess what? CrowdStrike withdrew its report and admitted that it was wrong. Now, this, whether it sounds like it or not, don’t doubt me, this is highly relevant to this entire Russian collusion story, which is why Trump was asking about it and why the Democrats don’t want the Ukrainians to reinvestigate it.

The reference to CrowdStrike, mark my words, is momentous in this transcript today. I know damn well the whistleblower didn’t tell the Democrats about that or they would have a different strategy laid out for this. Because another thing — don’t doubt me on this — what this really means, folks, is that Trump — he was asking for assistance on Biden, but it’s all related. What Trump actually was asking the president of Ukraine to do was to help the attorney general.

Other Deep State slayers noted this as well –

Crowstrike is lying about the DNC emails behind the Trump-Russia collusion sham being hacked by Russia –

Ann Coulter also identified this in her column this week –

The second issue the media does not want anyone to think about is CrowdStrike.

What is CrowdStrike, you ask? That is the cybersecurity firm that is the sole source of the claim that the Russians hacked the DNC’s emails — which launched the conspiracy theories that tied our country in knots for the past three years.

The Russian collusion story was originally hatched by Hillary Clinton in the summer of 2016 to cover up the utter corruption revealed by the dump of Democratic National Committee emails on Wikileaks. As was her practice whenever a scandal threatened to engulf her, Hillary rushed out and told the press to investigate something else.

And “the great story” about the DNC email hack wasn’t about a “vast right-wing conspiracy” — as she claimed when the Monica Lewinsky scandal broke. No, this time, it was a vast Russian conspiracy!

At the time, the entire media laughed at Hillary’s Russian conspiracy nonsense — The New York Times, New York Newsday, the Los Angeles Times and so on. But then Trump won the election, and suddenly the Russia conspiracy seemed totally believable. What else could explain how Americans could put this boob in the White House?

The subsequent three years of breathless Russia coverage was based entirely on the word of one cybersecurity firm, CrowdStrike, that the DNC’s emails had been hacked by Russia.

Recall that the DNC wouldn’t allow the FBI or any other U.S. government official anywhere near its computers. That’s precisely why so many cybersecurity experts doubted that it was the Russians: The FBI was never allowed to perform its own investigation.

CrowdStrike was founded by Ukrainian Dmitri Alperovitch (now an American citizen apparently — because who isn’t?) and funded by the fanatically anti-Russian Ukrainian oligarch Viktor Pinchuk.

Talk about interfering with our democracy! Alperovitch and Pinchuk sent one political party and nine-tenths of the American media off on a wild goose chase into Russian collusion that, after years of accusations, investigations and embarrassing conspiracy-mongering … turned up goose eggs.

The entire Russian insanity was launched by a couple of Ukrainians. I think a lot of us would like to get to the bottom of that.

We reported in July that one of the reasons why Google executives cried after the 2016 election is because Google invested in Crowdstrike!  In July 2015 Google invested $100 million into Crowdstrike.

We also reported that former NSA employee and whistle blower, Bill Binney, has reviewed the DNC emails released and provided online by WikiLeaks and it shows that the data coming from the DNC was not hacked (as claimed by Crowdstrike who the FBI relied on for confirmation) but rather copied to a disk or flash drive!

Binney says:

The problem with the Mueller report and the Rosenstein indictment is it’s all based on lies. I mean the fact they’re still lying about the, saying the DNC was hacked by the Russians and the Russians gave it to WikiLeaks.

Well, we had some of our people and our group, the VIPS, the Veteran Intelligence Professionals, look at the data that WikiLeaks posted on the DNC data. They actually posted the DNC data…

…that entire set of data was read to a thumb drive or a CD Rom then physically transported. Now this is what Kim Dotcom is saying. This is what Julian Assange basically was inferring. Others have been saying the same things.”

So we have known for some time that the Russians did not hack the DNC and did not provide emails to Wikileaks as the FBI claims based on information from Crowdstrike.

It’s clear the DNC was not hacked and it’s more likely an insider like Seth Rich copied the files to a disk drive and turned them over to Wikileaks.  This is more likely than reports that the Russians hacked the DNC.

Per the transcript of President Trump’s discussion with the Ukrainian leader above, we don’t believe Crowdstrike has the DNC’s physical servers.

It sounds more like Trump is saying “server” in the same sense he used the word “wiretap” – not a literal meaning.  Crowdstrike may have the images (copies) of the hard drives, the memory dumps for some of the computing devices and the logs for networking equipment (like switches, routers, and firewalls), but not the actual DNC servers, which is really all you need. Either their “evidence” stands on its own merits or it doesn’t. The onus is on CrowdStrike now to prove their claims based on their “evidence” they have on hand regarding their assertion in the US.

The Ukraine likely doesn’t have the DNC/Podesta email servers. They have some Gmail related emails that can be analyzed to show that Crowdstrike was wrong when they alleged that the Russians hacked the Ukrainians during the separatist war.

The linkage to Ukraine is based on the number of articles that appeared around December 2016 trying to connect the DNC leak to other Russian government cyber-attacks.  The whole argument that the Russians were tracking Ukrainian artillery units by compromising android devices is nonsense. The whole publication was a coordinated effort by major news outlets like Reuters, AP, the NYT, WaPo, and others to create and manage this narrative.  Some of the claims that Crowdstrike made were:

• “the Ukrainians lost 80% of their filed artillery”
• “Ukraine’s howitzers suffered the highest percentage of loss of any … artillery pieces in Ukraine’s arsenal.”

All this turned out to be completely false. According to the International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS) the losses were 10%-20%, which is in the range of any conflict where both parties use artillery.

Also the claim that the Russian malware was able to “retrieve communications” and “some locational data” from infected devices, is also not true. There are much faster/more accurate ways to track and target filed artillery than to hope that the battery team downloads an unsecured mobile phone application (which according to the developers wasn’t hacked) from an email that was flagged by Gmail as suspicious.  Just like with the DNC hack, they made up the whole thing and no one in the media challenged them or asked for a solid proof.

The details of the alleged attack in the Ukraine:

In 2016-2017, two Ukrainian developers named Dobronravin and Dmytro were providing the Ukraine military through an NGO called Army SOS with navigation software. Version 1.0 of the solution was distributed on Android tablets loaded with digital topographic maps. Version 2.0 of this solution expanded the features to including an add-on called the Network Bridge that allowed the operator to connect to other tablets via digital radio (Motorola XPR) to allow different units to exchange text messages.  It’s important to note that the tablets had no real-time GPS tracking capabilities and that these were all off-line devices.

On August 27, 2015, Dmytro’s email contacts received a phishing email impersonating his name. The email instructed them to download the latest version of the Network Bridge. Allegedly (and we don’t know this for a fact), the modified add-on in the email had the ability to intercept the text messages from the tablet.

(The phishing email)

Dmytro immediately told his users not to download the malicious add-on and sent a copy of the phishing email to a Ukrainian hacker called ‘Sean Townsend’ for analysis.  According to Dobronravin and Dmytro no one in their application user group downloaded the malware because Google flagged the email as suspicious (see image above).

It just happens to be that ‘Sean Townsend’ is connected to Crowdstrike and knows their CEO. This is how the story about the malware and artillery software got out to them.  They sat on that information for about 16 months (August 27, 2015 – December 2016) and when the whole Russia collusion story was being baked they jumped on the opportunity to reinforce the Russian role in DNC attack showing the same pattern of attack in Ukraine.

(The malicious add-in Dmytro sent to Sean Townsend in 2015)

(The artillery app published by CrowdStrike in 2016)

But as has been indicated, Crowdstrike’s report was completely bogus. Crowdstrike completely made-up the Ukrainian howitzers artillery losses and the statement that the rogue artillery app (really the Radio Bridge add-on) was to blame. The MSM was happy to spread the fake news without ever looking into the simple fact that even if this malware was installed and used, all of these tablets were offline devices without GPS functionality and the code was entirely based on a Bluetooth messaging interface–which the Motorola radio did not support.

The Ukraine doesn’t need to investigate this because they were the ones that debunked the story, so they already know all about it. The “server” referred to by President Trump has to refer to whatever the Ukrainian citizens, Alperovitch and/or Pinchuk have in their possession related to Crowdstrike’s Russia hacked the DNC sham assertions.

Crowdstrike was wrong in the Ukraine. Crowdstrike was forced to retract its false reporting there. Crowdstrike is wrong in the US and the Ukraine may have the information to prove it!

That’s what Democrats are scared to death.

Revealed: CIA Whistleblower Report Links to Soros-Funded Project Three Different Times (VIDEO)

Former United States Attorney for the District of Columbia Joe diGenova and his wife and attorney Victoria Toensing to discuss the latest developments in the Democrat-media attempted coup of President Trump.

The two discussed the partisan CIA “whistleblower” attack on president Trump. As The Gateway Pundit reported earlier, we now know the “whistleblower” was a CIA operative, likely close to John Brennan, who was serving in the White House in order to spy on President Trump. The alleged whistleblower wrote his report based on hearsay and opinion. The report was written by seasoned lauyers. The report is already falling apart with numerous errors and lies.

During the discussion Victoria Toensing brought up the Soros connections to the whistleblower’s report.

Victoria Toensing: Sean I want to jump in here too. On these false statements how did that work? US and other people made false statements about him. Yeah, that was George Soros funded NGOs who were also in bed with the State Department… My last point here. The whistleblower sprinkles throughout his document footnotes referring to a publication with the initials OCCRP. One guess, Sean, who funds OCCRP. George Soros.

Joe diGenova: Soros’s dirty money is all over this story.

OCCRP – Organized Crime and Corruption Reporting Project is funded by the Soros Open Society Foundations.

The OCCRP is linked in the whistleblower report to Congress three different times in the 9 page document.

Trump: Shouldn’t Schiff resign for lying to Congress?

As Jim Geraghty wrote yesterday, get ready for the 1918 trench warfare of impeachment, where there’s lots of noise and damage but the lines barely move. The transcript of the call between Donald Trump and Volodymyr Zelensky turned out to be mostly a letdown for the media and Democrats, but the whistleblower complaint will take more time to unwind. In the meantime, shots will continue to volley across no-man’s-land, such as Trump’s call for Adam Schiff to resign:

Er … Schiff’s performance yesterday at the House Intelligence Committee hearing was embarrassing enough, but it’s pretty clear that Schiff wasn’t claiming to have read the “exact transcribed version” of the call. In fact, that was Schiff’s problem — he couldn’t sell impeachment based on the transcript, which Democrats and the media had promised would contain explicit quid pro quos and demands for cooperation. Instead, Schiff had to claim that he could deduce Mafioso emanations from penumbras between the lines, while the media used ellipses to completely distort the meaning of the text.

But having Trump call on Schiff to resign over that grandstanding and mockery is somewhat akin to Don King telling people to pipe down and act maturely. In the first place, it’s not going to happen, which makes this kind of demand look silly and impotent. It’ll charge up Trump supporters for a day or so, who will also demand that Schiff resign, all of which will have all the impact of a letter to the editor. It’s a meaningless artillery bombardment across an unimportant stretch of land — call it Schiffville — that no one really wants. It won’t move the lines an iota.

But is there a shortcut to victory in this trench warfare? Trump wondered that aloud yesterday in a quick press avail:

“What … Democrats are doing to this country is a disgrace and it shouldn’t be allowed. There should be a way of stopping it, maybe legally through the courts,” Trump said upon returning from a trip to New York where he attended the U.N General Assembly.

It’s not the first time Trump has suggested that he’d go to court to stop an impeachment. In April, just after the Mueller report had been released, Trump went on Twitter to threaten to sue the House if they began impeachment proceedings:

Would that work? Naaah. At the time, I reviewed the relevant precedents, so feel free to check the above link. Basically, however, impeachment is a political process with the House’s full authority over it enshrined in the Constitution. There is no role for the judiciary on impeachment itself, although certainly they will resolve disputes over demands for evidence and testimony, as they do now.

Unfortunately, there are no easy solutions to trench warfare, either literal or figurative in a political sense. One side generally has to fatigue first, or somehow acquire enough strength to overwhelm the other in a frontal attack. Before that happens, though, expect a lot more rhetorical bombardments with little effect.

Trump Derangement Syndrome Will Consume the Democratic Party

Crazy is generally defined as mentally deranged or not mentally sound.  When being mentally deranged, which includes being crazed, insane, demented, unbalanced, and unhinged, is focused on behavior toward President Trump, we see what is commonly called Trump Derangement Syndrome or TDS.  This behavior existed before his election but burst forth into full bloom the evening of November 8, 2016.  Democrats were then, and have been unable to since, accept that their pre-written version of history did not come true and that the basic premise of the inevitability of socialism was false.  They have not reacted well.

Recent events have caused most of the known world, and possibly even some extra-terrestrials, to ask just how crazy the Democratic Party is.  That’s a tough question to answer.  Let’s examine it from both a definitional and a practical perspective.

The American Psychiatric Association has a standard reference manual for identifying and describing mental disorders.  That is the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-5).  In the section on Schizophrenia there should be an open section reserved for Trump Derangement Syndrome (TDS).  This is a prominent characteristic of many Democratic Party members, liberal media and certainly for elected Democratic officials in D.C.

How do observable behaviors comport with DSM-5?  Let’s see.  They are identifiable by extreme delusions, that is:

  • beliefs that conflict with reality [check],
  • hallucinations, seeing or hearing things that are not real [check],
  • saying things that may be impossible to understand [check].

Additionally, observed behaviors are characterized by:

  • extremely confused thinking [check],
  • bizarre behavior [check], and
  • the inability to initiate plans [check].

So, in definitional terms, Schizophrenic derangement focused at President Trump is what we see with Democrats, in other words, TDS.

Then there is practical craziness.  This is ground level acting out, doing something that is likely to cause severe damage with little or no chance of positive outcome.  This is where Democrats really excel.  Current examples of practical craziness include, but certainly are not limited to:

  • virtually every platform proposal of all 25 presidential candidates with special focus on the Green New Deal and the very concept of anthropogenic climate change for their jaw-dropping stupidity,
  • electing the intellectually challenged bartender AOC to Congress and then letting her run the Democratic Party,
  • allowing the Sharia Squad to run Democratic foreign policy,
  • hoping the American public would believe in Robert Mueller and the Steele Report more than in Unicorns,
  • hoping any of the Kavanaugh witnesses would say anything truthful,
  • hoping Joe Biden won’t be destroyed by Ukrainian testimony,
  • thinking Comey and McCabe will not eventually take down both Clintons, and
  • trying to sell the idea that gender is a social costruct.

For two and a half years, TDS has raged within the Democratic Party like gangrene.  It festers and erupts.  It is ugly, it stinks and it will eventually kill the body.

The Democrats have done nothing but hate the President while the President has been making America great again.  That just infuriates the Democrats more.  They cannot compete in the marketplace of ideas.  They are fighting themselves for the most unworkable socialist position while doing everything they can to smear the President with false and empty slander and accusations.

The Russian hoax, the Kavanaugh and Gorsuch confirmation hearings, the various other concocted lies, are all beyond reprehensible and yet here we go again with an uncorroborated hearsay accusation about a phone call.  Hate and schizophrenia.  Hate is corrosive.  It seems to have already consumed any constructive thought capability in the Democratic Party.  We are left with the manifest derangement.  There is a very good possibility that complete meltdown and destruction will come if and when the party is crazy enough to actually try to impeach the President.

History informs that the American people have very little tolerance for the removal of a President even for the most obvious and justified of reasons much less the fifth or sixth in a series of “cry wolf” concocted nonsense reasons.  Further, when it gets to rug cutting time, a lot of Democratic Congressmen will abandon their leadership in favor of getting elected again.  At that point, total internal and external meltdown will ensue.

Wall Street Journal Columnist NUKES Democrat Talking Points On Ukraine Debacle

Kimberly Strassel of the Wall Street Journal has emerged as a trustworthy news source in the age of Trump.

When it comes to the Democrats and this ridiculous Ukraine thing, Strassel has positively destroyed their talking points.

Townhall reports:

WSJ Columnist Notes What The ‘Favor’ Trump Was Asking Of The Ukrainian President…Liberals Won’t Like This

In the publication’s op-ed section, columnist Kimberley Strassel, who has torched many of the liberal talking points peddled by the Left in their years-long crusade to impeach Trump, went on a lengthy Twitter thread dissecting the latest spate of nonsensical allegations lobbed at the Trump White House over this phone call.

One, Trump was asking Ukraine for assistance in a U.S. investigation into 2016 election meddling, and it was the Ukrainians that brought up Biden. This is another “non-smoking gun.” Also, it proved that everyone got this story totally and utterly wrong.

See her series of tweets below:

That’s a smack down for the ages.

Trump’s UN speeches really beat Obama’s, don’t they?

Speaking to the United Nations General Assembly this week, President Donald J. Trump stood solidly on the side of those who believe in national sovereignty.

He said:

America is governed by Americans. We reject the ideology of globalism, and we embrace the doctrine of patriotism.

Around the world, responsible nations must defend against threats to sovereignty not just from global governance, but also from other, new forms of coercion and domination.

This is in stark contrast to the last U.N. General Assembly speech by his predecessor, President Barack H. Obama.  He said:

And so I believe that at this moment we all face a choice. We can choose to press forward with a better model of cooperation and integration.  Or we can retreat into a world sharply divided, and ultimately in conflict, along age-old lines of nation and tribe and race and religion. …

Here’s the most important fact: The integration of our global economy has made life better for billions of men, women and children.  Over the last 25 years, the number of people living in extreme poverty has been cut from nearly 40 percent of humanity to under 10 percent.  That’s unprecedented.  And it’s not an abstraction. It means children have enough to eat; mothers don’t die in childbirth.

President Obama spoke for the world’s billions of men, women, and children.  Trump spoke for millions of Americans.  He said:

The United States lost over 3 million manufacturing jobs, nearly a quarter of all steel jobs, and 60,000 factories after China joined the WTO.  And we have racked up $13 trillion in trade deficits over the last two decades.

But those days are over.  We will no longer tolerate such abuse.  We will not allow our workers to be victimized, our companies to be cheated, and our wealth to be plundered and transferred.  America will never apologize for protecting its citizens.

In a little over one year, Americans will go to the polls, choosing between these two views of their people in the world.

We know on whose side the current president is.

President Trump right on target about Cuba and Venezuela

In case you got distracted with the Ukraine phone call controversy, President Trump spoke at the UN about Cuba and Venezuela.   This is what he said:

In his speech in New York, Trump sharply criticized the socialist policies of Maduro and his close ties to leaders in Cuba along with the practice of detaining political prisoners and reports of extrajudicial killings by death squads linked to leaders in Caracas.

“According to a recent report by the United Nation Human Rights Council, women in Venezuela stand in line for 10 hours every day waiting for food, over 15,000 people have been detained as political prisoners, modern day death squads are carrying out thousands of extrajudicial killings,” Trump said.

He added: “The dictator Maduro is a Cuban puppet, protected by Cuban bodyguards, hiding from his own people, while Cubans plunder Venezuela’s oil wealth to sustain its own corrupt communist rule.”

Home to the world’s largest oil reserves, Venezuela was for decades an economic leader in the western hemisphere and, despite a massive gap between rich and poor, was a major destination for neighboring Colombians and other Latin Americans fleeing their less prosperous and more troubled homelands.

I loved it.

Like President Reagan’s “evil empire” comment in 1983, it will be welcomed by dissidents and despised by the corrupt leaders.  It’s a clear sign that President Trump stands with them and will make life difficult for the two regimes.

I recall years ago talking to my father’s cousin, who spent 14 years in a Cuban political prison.  I asked him about the value of U.S. presidents talking about the Cuban prisoners.  He told me that it meant a lot.  At least, as he said, it reminded the men in prison that someone was thinking about them.

Fracking Ban Proposed By 2020 Dems Would Kill Millions of Jobs

A proposed fracking ban put forward by leading Democratic presidential candidates would have a devastating impact on U.S. jobs, energy independence, and even national security, according to several studies.

Reports from the American Petroleum Institute, Independent Petroleum Association of America, and U.S. Chamber of Commerce painted a stark picture of the economic fallout from ending fracking, a process which has transformed the United States into the top oil and natural gas producer in the world.

Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D., Mass.), Sen. Bernie Sanders (I., Vt.), and Sen. Kamala Harris (D., Calif.) are among eight remaining 2020 candidates who have called for an all-out ban on fracking, despite the fact that the drilling method has put the United States on a path to energy independence. The practice has also led to cleaner energy alternatives and lower carbon emissions, a key goal of climate change activists.

Fracking, also known as hydraulic fracturing, is a drilling and extraction method of releasing oil and gas from underground shale rocks, using high-pressure liquid to break them apart.

Environmental opponents argue fracking’s positives are offset by issues such as contamination of drinking water, air pollution, methane leaks, links to causing earthquakes, and the lowering of proximate property value.

‘A ban … would destroy more than 14 million jobs’

A 2016 report from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce found the economy would suffer dramatically if lawmakers banned fracking.

"A fracking ban would be a disaster for the U.S. economy, exceeding the economic harm caused by the financial crisis, the housing bust, and the Great Recession—combined," the report said. "Those concurrent events cost the United States around 8 million jobs. A ban on fracturing would destroy more than 14 million jobs, all while raising costs for families and considerably reducing American energy security."

It explored how a theoretical ban would affect the American economy if begun on Jan. 1, 2017, and it concluded that over five years it would roughly double gas prices, raise natural gas prices by 400 percent, and raise electricity prices by 100 percent.

The spike in energy prices would raise the cost of living by $4,000 a year, and household incomes would drop by $873 billion. The report concluded the U.S. gross domestic product would be reduced by $1.6 trillion.

Texas (1,499,000 jobs lost), Pennsylvania (466,000), Ohio (397,000), and Colorado (215,000) would see more than a combined 2.5 million jobs lost from a fracking ban alone over that span, the report said, taking into consideration its effect on energy prices, incomes, manufacturing, and energy security.

President Donald Trump, a fracking supporter, won Texas, Pennsylvania, and Ohio in the 2016 election, and he lost Colorado by less than 5 points. Last month in Pennsylvania, he lauded fracking’s success and the country’s energy production.

"We have the greatest resources, which really came about over the last few years," he said. "Nobody knew this. Fracking made it possible. Other new technologies made it possible. And now we’re the number-one—think of it, as I said—the number-one energy producer in the world."

"They wanted to take away your wealth," he added. "They didn’t want you to drill. They didn’t want you to frack. They didn’t want you to do steel. They wanted to take away your wealth."

A spokesman for Sen. Ted Cruz (R., Texas) told the Washington Free Beacon a ban on fracking would be devastating.

"The United States is currently the number one producer of crude oil and natural gas on the planet, surpassing both Russia and Saudi Arabia in crude oil production," Cruz’s spokesman said in a statement. "Texas is the leading U.S. producer of both crude oil and natural gas, producing more than one-third of the nation’s crude oil, and a quarter of the nation’s natural gas. This success is due in large part to the shale revolution. A fracking ban would be catastrophic to Texas and the United States as a whole—destroying jobs, wreaking economic havoc, and putting our nation’s security at risk."

Sen. John Cornyn (R., Tex.) and Sen. Cory Gardner (R., Colo.), both up for reelection in 2020, also told the Free Beacon a ban would be ruinous.

"This innovative technology has created tons of jobs, lowered utility bills, and established Texas as a global energy powerhouse," Cornyn said. "This would devastate our country’s leading economy."

"Radical policies like the Green New Deal and a federal ban on fracking would be devastating for Colorado—wiping out billions of dollars of the economy, destroying tens of thousands of jobs, and recklessly inducing an immediate recession," Gardner said. "These are some of the most irresponsible actions any leader can propose."

A separate report from the American Petroleum Institute concluded bans on fracking, fossil fuel production, and other "keep it in the ground" policies would cost 5.9 million jobs and a cumulative GDP reduction of $11.8 trillion. The trade group found the losses would stem from lower economic growth due to lower domestic energy production.

A 2019 report by the National Association of State Energy Officials found the natural gas industry employed 625,639 Americans, with more than a quarter of them (162,928) working in mining and extraction.

The report stated natural gas fuels employed 270,626 workers in 2018. That year, the market increased by 17,000 jobs, or about 7 percent. Mining and extraction jobs supported over 60 percent of the natural gas fuels industry.

The fracking boom has helped the United States become a world leader in natural gas production and consumption. An IHS Markit research firm report in 2018 estimated it would surge another 60 percent over the next 20 years, following a 60 percent increase with the advent of the shale boom in the late 2000s.

The Independent Petroleum Association of America found from 2007 to 2016 that advancements in fracking and horizontal drilling technology helped oil production and natural gas production spike 75 and 39 percent, respectively.

"The shale boom has reshaped the nation’s electric grid, fueled a petrochemical boom along the Gulf Coast and created a burgeoning U.S. industry in liquefied natural gas exports," the Houston Chronicle reported. "Of course, the shale oil surge wouldn’t have happened without the horizontal drilling and hydraulic fracturing techniques used to triggered the shale gas revolution."

Another analysis from the nonpartisan Rapidan Energy Group found oil production from shale formations would decrease by 3 million barrels per day over the first year of a ban beginning on Jan. 1, 2022. The advisory firm independently conducted the study for its clients and shared the findings with the media.

Representatives for Warren, Sanders, and Harris did not return requests for comment. Neither did Sen. Bob Casey (D., Pa.), Sen. Michael Bennet (D., Colo.), or Sen. Sherrod Brown (D., Ohio), the only Democratic senators from the four states in the study. Sen. Pat Toomey’s (R., Pa.) office pointed the Free Beacon to his tweet noting natural gas’s critical role in Pennsylvania, while Sen. Rob Portman (R., Ohio) did not reply.

Expert: Fracking ban a threat to national security

Asked for his thoughts on a proposed fracking ban earlier this month on CNBC, International Energy Agency executive director Fatih Birol said it was not a good idea, pointing to the security provided to global markets by the U.S. natural gas boom.

"Up to recently, before the U.S. shale gas revolution, Russia was the country which was dominating alone the gas markets, but the U.S. coming in the picture, there are options for consumers, better for [U.S.] security," he said. "Just banning this would not be good news, not only for Americans but also for Europeans."

"So essentially, then, an Elizabeth Warren presidency would be bad for U.S. national security," CNBC anchor Hadley Gamble said.

Birol replied he didn’t want to comment on U.S. politics, but he reiterated his point that upending the global markets with a fracking ban would be harmful.

Houston Chronicle columnist Chris Tomlinson, a proponent of battling climate change, criticized Democrats in a Sept. 13 piece for making "false or ignorant promises" in their calls for banning fracking.

"Fracking is what provides the U.S. with cheap gasoline," he wrote. "Fracking is what makes OPEC powerless. Fracking is what makes electricity affordable. Fracking is what makes it possible to shut down coal-fired power plants. Fracking is what gives Europe a choice besides Russian natural gas. A ban on fracking would reverse those things, send energy prices skyrocketing and crash the global economy."

Politically difficult

The fracking ban debate is likely academic. A Warren or Sanders administration could not ban the practice through executive fiat, although it could pursue a regulatory regime that would make it more difficult. With most fracking taking place on private lands, an act of Congress would be needed to outright banish the practice.

Campaigning on it could be hard, too.

"To say that you would ban fracking is a very difficult position to take in some key states," Democratic strategist Rick Ridder told the Associated Press. "There’s an extremely important distinction between local control and banning something."

Pennsylvania Democratic strategist Mike Mikus told the AP calls for banning fracking would make it "tougher" to win in the state. No Democrat has run statewide on such a platform.

"I can’t say it eliminates the chance of someone winning, but it makes it tougher," Mikus said.

The Obama administration supported fracking, pointing to natural gas as a cleaner energy alternative to coal, but it unsuccessfully pursued regulation of it. The Bureau of Land Management’s regulations in 2015 that were meant to protect water and force companies to disclose what chemicals they used were ultimately ruled unlawful after Wyoming and Colorado took the BLM to court, CNN reported.

Former Obama administration officials have cast doubt on the practicality and efficacy of the climate proposals by leading 2020 Democratic candidates, such as the sprawling Green New Deal.

Ernest Moniz, the former secretary of energy, said in February, "The idea we’re going to have by 2050 … a 100 percent renewable system is not realistic, straightforwardly, certainly at a reasonable cost."

Former Deputy Secretary of the Interior David Hayes testified in front of the Natural Resources Committee in July that it was "impractical and inappropriate to stop oil and gas drilling on our public lands and offshore waters right now."

"I believe that [keeping it in the ground] is not a good way to go," he said. "The reality is that we have a lot of infrastructure on our public lands to produce oil and gas. It’s providing an important contribution to our economy. The issue is not so much the fact that—and I think good points have been made that if there were not oil and gas drilling on our public lands we’d get oil and gas from somewhere else. This is not the majority of the oil and gas provided in the United States."

Hillary Clinton promoted fracking abroad while serving as Obama’s secretary of state. By the time she ran for president in 2016, however, she said she would impose enough conditions on the practice that it would likely be impossible.

Communist newspaper drops a truth bomb about impeaching Trump

After Nancy Pelosi opened an impeachment inquiry into President Trump’s call to Ukrainian President Zelensky, People’s World, the official newspaper of the Communist Party, U.S.A., published its version of the latest “explosive whistleblower revelation” accusing President Trump of a quid pro quo to get dirt on Joe Biden.

The online publication of the newspaper formerly known as ‘The Daily Worker’ lists a litany of Trump’s “high crimes and misdemeanors” which is nothing but a mire of lies and propaganda. That’s standard fare for communist party sites and their Democratic Party comrades in D.C.  Earlier this year Congressman Al Green(D-Texas) showed that he and his fellow Democrats are in lockstep with the Communist Party U.S.A. when he stated, “I’m concerned that if we don’t impeach the President, he will get re-elected.”

The shocker comes at the end of the article when the author admits this Ukraine business most likely won’t lead to impeachment, but is a means to “stain” Trump’s image in the eyes of the voters all the way until next November.  In other words, one hoax is as good as any other as long as the Democrats have Trump in the crosshairs for another year.

From Peoples World:

The opening of an impeachment inquiry won’t necessarily mean that there will be a vote to impeach—i.e., to officially charge Trump with high crimes and misdemeanors. Though that looks more likely, it can’t be taken for granted. Some in the Democratic Party who oppose impeachment for reasons of political expediency surely hope that a long, drawn-out inquiry will be enough to get them to Election Day. Nor does it follow that the GOP-controlled Senate would convict and remove Trump if he is impeached; it almost certainly won’t.

But it will absolutely change the whole dynamic of the 2020 campaign. The unfolding of a formal case against Trump, the presentation of further damning evidence, and televised Congressional hearings will mark a permanent historical stain on his administration and leave him criminally indicted in the eyes of voters, perhaps many up to this point in Trump’s camp.

As of Wednesday night, 218 House Democrats are on board with the impeachment inquiry directed by the Speaker. The Democrats, along with their comrades in the Communist Party U.S.A. hope to finally achieve that nirvana moment they’ve been pining for ever since Trump announced his candidacy.

California shocked to find bill decriminalizing retail theft resulted in… more retail theft

A few years ago, California passed one in a series of bills aimed at emptying the jails and prisons. Proposition 47 carried the disingenuous name of “the Safe Neighborhoods and Schools Act and its stated purpose was to keep non-violent offenders out of jail. To achieve this goal, the state decriminalized a number of lesser offenses, including retail theft. The law raised the value of the amount of merchandise someone could steal while still only being charged with a misdemeanor to nearly one thousand dollars.

To the great surprise of the government, people noticed this change and began taking advantage of it. They have now recorded multiple years of steadily increasing, organized robbery. These plots are known as “mass grab and dash” thefts and they generally involve large numbers of young people all entering a store at the same time, grabbing armfuls of merchandise and dashing back out to their vehicles and hitting the highway. Not only are robberies on the rise, but arrests and prosecutions are down. Who could possibly have predicted this? (CBS Sacramento)

After searching police reports and arrest records, CBS13 found that while the rate of these grab and dash crimes is on the rise, the rate of arrest is down. We turned to law enforcement and the retail industry for answers. Both blame a California law intended to make “neighborhoods safe.”

“It’s a boldness like we’re seeing never before and just a disregard for fellow human beings,” said Lieutenant Mark Donaldson, Vacaville PD.

He explained these crimes have evolved into more than just shoplifting. It’s organized retail theft and he says it’s happening across the state. Cities like Vacaville, with outlets and shopping centers located near major freeways, tend to be a target for these organized retail crime rings.

Nobody is seriously contesting the numbers. The local and state police organizations blame prop 47. FBI crime data supports the contention. Retail sales organizations have tracked this trend and agree.

This is a trend that’s been building in a number of blue states and now it seems that the petty crime chickens are coming home to roost. The fact is that there are always going to be a certain number of people who will be willing to break the law if they don’t feel the risk of significant punishment is too high. An understanding of this fundamental principle is why the “broken windows” policies enacted in New York City and other municipalities in the 90s were so effective. If you crack down on even smaller crimes, you lower crime rates overall.

Sadly, liberal elected officials paint a picture of racism and inequity behind effective law enforcement initiatives. The people committing these thefts frequently end up being young black and Hispanic robbers because they are more likely to come from economically disadvantaged backgrounds. This leads to laws like prop 47 hoping to keep more of them out of the “school to prison pipeline.”

But when you make it easier and less risky to steal larger amounts of goods, people will steal more merchandise. Did it really take a rocket scientist to figure this out? California basically incentivized crime and potential criminals answered the call. And since many of them were only getting the equivalent of a parking ticket for stealing 900 dollars worth of goods, police frequently didn’t expend much energy trying to catch them.

The ball’s in your court, California. Do you plan on doing something about this? Or will you essentially just legalize theft and tell the retailers that they’re on their own?
