Drag Queen Story Hour for Young Children Celebrated as Part of LGBTQ ‘Big Read’ Event

The Hartford Public Library in Connecticut will host two Drag Queen Story Hour events Saturday as part of the library’s celebration of its LGBTQ “Big Read” campaign.

The controversial drag queen events have stirred tensions in many cities throughout the country, such as Chula Vista, California, where an LGBT-activist city official said groups protesting the event were people who hold “white supremacist beliefs.”

Hartford Library CEO Bridget Quinn told the Hartford Courant she is prepared for any protests against the event.

“I don’t anticipate a major response,” she said. “Hartford is pretty open-minded.”

“We have had a few people express concern, but we tell them that this is a way to engage kids in reading,” Quinn added. “It’s fun. It’s a way to expose them to different cultures and lifestyles.”

The website of the Drag Queen Story Hour, an event targeting toddlers and young children, specifically states the purpose of the events is to provide children with “glamorous, positive, and unabashedly queer role models.”

Peter Wolfgang, executive director of the Family Institute of Connecticut, told Breitbart News the events create gender confusion for children.

“Grotesquely oversexualized and misogynistic drag queens should not be teaching gender confusion to children in public libraries,” he said. “Traditional-minded people and feminists alike ought to oppose the false stereotypes of women being peddled to children by these events. “

Concerns about safety at the Drag Queen Story Hour events made headlines recently when Houston MassResistance discovered drag queen Alberto Garza, who uses the name Tatiana Mala-Nina when reading to young children, had been convicted in 2008 of sexually assaulting an eight-year-old boy. The Houston library system had failed to perform a background check on Garza or any of the other drag queens appearing in its programs.

Multnomah County Library in Portland, Oregon, also faced backlash when it was found the library system had quietly removed from social media photos of the Drag Queen Story Hour that took place at one of its libraries during which young children were lying on top of the drag queens and fondling their false breasts.

Quinn said the annual Big Read event is “meant to show the open values of the library.”

“The ‘Big Read’ is a program of the National Endowment for the Arts in partnership with Arts Midwest,” states the library on its website.

The Big Read adult book this year is Advice from the Lights by Harvard English professor Stephanie Burt, a biological man who identifies as a woman.

The children’s Big Read book is George, written by queer activist Alex Gino and published by Scholastic. George, a story about a boy who claims to be a girl, was condemned in 2018 by Christian advocacy organization One Million Moms.

One Million Moms also recently launched a boycott of Whole Foods Market in Atlanta over the food market chain’s sponsorship of a Drag Queen Story Hour event.

“This year we wanted to focus on LGBTQ literature and start it at the same time as the citywide celebration of pride,” Liz Castle, Hartford Library’s programming and events manager, said, according to the Courant.

Two of the LGBT-themed books to be read to the young children by the drag queens are Pink is for Boys and Julian is a Mermaid.

The American Library Association (ALA) encourages Drag Queen Story Hour events and is supporting those libraries experiencing “pushback” from their communities.

“ALA, through its actions and those of its members, is instrumental in creating a more equitable, diverse, and inclusive society,” the organization states. “This includes a commitment to combating marginalization and underrepresentation within the communities served by libraries through increased understanding of the effects of historical exclusion.”

The Drag Queen Story Hour in Hartford will include a question-and-answer period, a craft activity, and opportunity for the children to take a photo with the drag queens, Giganta Smalls and Robin Fierce.

“A drag queen isn’t something you see every day unless you go to shows or watch ‘Ru Paul’s Drag Race,’” Fierce told the Courant. “But we are people, we are here doing our art form and just like any other kind of performer we are palatable to everyone and just want everyone to have a fun time.”

Fitton: Documents Reveal State Department Efforts to Undermine Trump

Judicial Watch has made public 90 pages of heavily redacted U.S. Department of State documents showing Obama State Department officials’ efforts to disseminate classified information to multiple U.S. Senators immediately prior to President Donald Trump’s inauguration.

The information, which included raw intelligence, purported to show “malign” Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election. Among the senators receiving the classified documents were Sen. Mark Warner (D-VA), Sen. Ben Cardin (D-MD), and Sen. Robert Corker (R-TN).

We obtained the documents through our June 2018 Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit filed against the State Department after it failed to respond to a February 2018 request seeking records of the Obama State Department’s last-minute efforts to share classified information about Russia election interference issues with Democratic Senator Ben Cardin (Judicial Watch v. U.S. Department of State (No. 1:18-cv-01381)).

A January 13, 2017, email from Hera Abbasi, a former congressional advisor in the State Department’s Bureau of Legislative Affairs, suggests that the intelligence community was providing “raw intel” to Sen. Warner. Such an exchange almost certainly would have been coordinated by the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI): “Yes, that is correct. Warner/raw intel stuff is going thru IC channels.” (Abbasi previously worked in Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s office and was a 2017 Next Generation National Security Fellow at the liberal Center for a New American Security. Abbasi donated $725 to the Clinton campaign and Act Blue during the 2016 election cycle.)

The documents we uncovered show early in the process of gathering and clearing classified information – beginning a day after Sen. Mark Warner (D-VA) formally asked Secretary of State John Kerry for “intelligence products” and “raw intelligence” on Russian involvement in the 2016 election – Assistant Secretary of State Julia Frifield brings Senior Advisor and Investigations Counsel Zachary Schram into the loop in a January 5, 2017, email chain, in which she says Schram would help “figure out the best way to get these to the Hill.” Frifield was an Obama appointee who previously served as Maryland Democratic Senator Barbara Mikulski’s Chief of Staff. (Frifield contributed $2,700 to the 2016 Clinton campaign.)

On January 11, 2017, former State Department Senior Congressional Advisor Katherine Harris sends an email to Abbasi; Naz Durakoglu, who was a senior advisor to the Assistant Secretary for European and Eurasian Affairs; Kathleen Kavalec, and others: “If we are not going through our standard CDP [Collection Due Process] process, others in H need to weigh in on how to move these to the Hill.”

In emails written on January 10 and 11, 2017, from Abbasi to Durakoglu and Kavalec, Abassi expresses the need to get the documents cleared “as soon as possible (ASAP).”

On January 17, 2017, three days before Trump’s inauguration, Kavalec emails Abbasi, Durakoglu and others emphasizing, again, that getting the documents to Cardin and Warner is a priority and urges the process to be sped up:

Agree this is a priority… and I don’t see why lengthy reviews are required. I would suggest we send up the things that can go immediately, and if there is any concern about specific internal documents, those be adjudicated separately and sent up as a follow-on.

In a January 18, 2017, email from Naz Durakoglu to Elizabeth Lawrence, Abbasi, Kerem Bilge, and others regarding the processing of the request, Durakoglu writes, “there is a time sensitivity to these docs.”

Shedding additional light on possible irregularities in the release process, a January 17, 2017, email reveals that ODNI, then led by James Clapper, was involved in clearing cables for release to the Hill. State Department official Cody Walsh emails Schram and Lauren Gills that the ODNI is “fine” with the State Department “sharing … cables with the Hill.”

On January 13, 2017, at 10:27 a.m., Durakoglu emails more than a dozen State Department employees, invoking the name of then-State Department Assistant Secretary of State Victoria Nuland to reiterate the need to accelerate the process of getting materials prepared to go to the Hill: “Hi All. This is a priority for our Assistant Secretary…Is there anything we can do to better facilitate the process?”

Two minutes later, Durakoglu emails Kerem Bilge and two others: “Where are we on clearances? Do I need to ask Toria to raise with Julia? The clock is ticking.” Durakoglu, at the time, was a senior adviser to Nuland. Durakoglu currently works for The Atlantic Council. She contributed $1,600 to the Clinton campaign in 2016.

The concluding, unredacted section of an otherwise heavily redacted email sent on Friday, January 13, 2017, by former Foreign Service Officer Kerem Bilge to numerous State employees indicates the intense time pressure under which State officials were operating to beat the Inauguration-Day deadline:

**** Please clear the action memo by noon TUESDAY [Jan. 17].

**** Please clear on the actual package of documents, if you have not done so already, by noon TUESDAY [Jan. 17].[Emphasis in original]

I want to get the whole package into the EUR front office today. This means we can get it out of EUR and to M [Undersecretary for Management] on Wednesday [Jan. 18], then H can courier it to the Hill on Thursday [Jan 19].

In a January 18, 2017, email, as time was running out, Elizabeth Lawrence described getting the package of cables to Cardin and Warner as “urgent:” “This is an urgent package from EUR that they’re trying to get to the Hill ASAP. Please review so we can get it up to M.” (Lawrence is a career foreign service officer, now the Consul in New Delhi, and was previously a Foreign Policy Advisor to Illinois Democratic Senator Dick Durbin. A D.C.-based State Department employee with her name is on record as having donated a cumulative total of $1,000 to the Clinton campaign in 2016.)

The final batch of cables was stored in Kavalec’s safe.

President Trump was inaugurated less than 24 hours later.

These documents show how the Obama State Department, staffed by Clinton donors, improperly, and perhaps illegally, rushed classified information to their anti-Trump allies in the U.S. Senate. The Obama State Department was central to the conspiracy to smear President Trump with Russiagate lies and innuendo. The Justice Department must expand any Spygate criminal investigation to include this agency.

We previously released documents showing classified information was researched and disseminated to multiple U.S. Senators by the Obama administration immediately prior to President Donald Trump’s inauguration. The documents reveal that among those receiving the classified documents were Sen. Mark Warner (D-VA), Sen. Ben Cardin (D-MD), and Sen. Robert Corker (R-TN). A January 19, 2017, email from Durakoglu, sums it up: “We made the deadline! Thank you everyone for what was truly a Department-wide effort!”

We also previously released an email exchange between then-Assistant Secretary of State Victoria Nuland and Special Coordinator for Libya Jonathan Winer, a close associate of dossier author Christopher Steele, discussing a “face-to-face” meeting on a “Russian matter.”

In May 2019, we uncovered documents showing a conversation between Kavalec and former Associate Deputy Attorney General Bruce Ohr, discussing the targeting of Donald Trump with Steele dossier material.

In June, we made public documents revealing that State Department “Special Coordinator for Libya” Jonathan Winer played a key role in facilitating Steele’s access to other top government officials, prominent international business executives. Winer was even approached by a movie producer about making a movie about the Russiagate targeting of President Trump.

We also uncovered documents showing Nuland and Winer coordinating with then-House Minority Whip Steny Hoyer’s (D-MD) national security advisor, Daniel Silverberg to work on Russia dossier materials provided by Steele.

Illegal Alien Wanted in France for Attempted Murder Deported from U.S.

An illegal alien living in the sanctuary city of New York City, New York was deported by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents after it was revealed he was wanted in France for attempted murder and kidnapping.

Samba Ndiaye, a 42-year-old illegal alien from France who also went by the alias “Mohamed Fall,” was deported by ICE agents last week after living in the U.S. for more than a decade.

In December 2002, Ndiaye was convicted of kidnapping, sequestration with acts of torture, and attempted murder in Marseilles, France. Though Ndiaye fled the country, he was sentenced to life in prison.

“This man was convicted in his home country of the heinous acts of kidnapping and attempted murder, living in our communities as if he was immune from facing his punishment in France,” ICE official Thomas Decker said in a statement.

Sometime after the conviction, Ndiaye arrived in New York City and was not arrested by ICE agents until June 2005. At the time, Ndiaye had been living under the identity of Mohamed Fall, claiming to be a citizen of Mauritania.

Despite being put into the deportation process in 2005, ICE released Ndiaye from custody on bail and it was not until July 2008 that an immigration judge ordered him deported from the U.S.

Ndiaye attempted to appeal the deportation, but his case was thrown out by the Board of Immigration Appeals. Still, Ndiaye was not immediately deported and remained in the country.

Then, in November 2012, Ndiaye was convicted in an Ohio federal court for assaulting, resisting, or impeding police officers and was sentenced to eight months in prison. After serving the sentence, the illegal alien was released to ICE, who then released him under ordered supervision while agents attempted to locate his Mauritanian passport.

Nearly seven years later in April 2019, a French law enforcement official at the French consulate in New York City told ICE officials that he believed Ndiaye was a French citizen and was actually wanted for a series of violent crimes. ICE agents confirmed Ndiaye’s identity and he was arrested a month later.

Decker said:

He assumed escaping to New York, a sanctuary city, the local laws would allow him to run free and continue to be a threat to the citizens of New York. As political rhetoric continues to push against ICE as an agency, ICE officers continue to make this a safer city simply by doing their jobs, enforcing the country’s immigration laws as enacted by Congress, and arresting and removing criminal aliens from the United States.

Over the last year, New York City released more than 2,900 criminal illegal aliens back into the general public rather than turning them over to ICE for arrest and deportation, Breitbart News reported. Many of these illegal aliens released from custody had been arrested for violent crimes.

Chinese Activist: ‘I am Starting to Feel’ That Socialism ‘Has Followed Me’ to the U.S.

Jennifer Zeng, U.S. Capitol,

Sept. 19, 2019. (YouTube)

(CNSNews.com) – At the Capitol Hill Tea Party rally against socialism, activist and author Jennifer Zeng, who migrated from Communist China, urged Americans to steer clear of socialist rhetoric because “socialists promise Heaven on Earth but they always end up giving you a one-way ticket to Hell.”

Another migrant at the Sept. 19 “Choose Freedom” rally, Oskar Arreaza from Venezuela, said he hopes to “spread the word” that “21st century socialism only covers [hides] the ignorance” of the politicians around the world that advocate for it.

Zeng, the author of Witnessing History: One Chinese Woman’s Fight for Freedom and Falun Gong,  said that when she came to the United States she was running away from persecution of her religious beliefs.

She said she was “thrown into prison” on four occasions and was also taken to a labor camp and forced to squat with her hands behind her head while looking at the floor for more than 15 hours.

“Here in the U.S. I am starting to feel that it [socialism] has followed me,” Zeng said. “Not only many politicians are making socialism sound so sweet but the majority of young Americans are attracted by it.”

Zeng said that the since the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) assumed power more than 70 years ago more than half of the population lives under persecution and more than 8 million people have died of unnatural deaths.

“In the world there are two wars,” Zeng said. “One is the war between the free world and the CCP, another one is right here, in the United States, between the American founding principles and traditional values, and the importation of communism.”

(Screenshot, Amazon)

Overall, as a result of Communist policies, more than 65 million people have died in China, according to the Black Book of Communism (Harvard University Press).

Oskar Arreaza a migrant from Venezuela — which is ruled by socialist Nicolas Maduro — said he wanted to spread the message and open the eyes of people who have not yet opened their eyes to  the reality of socialism.

“The socialism that attacked Venezuela, they called it the socialism of the twenty-first century, what [Hugo] Chavez called ‘the revolution,’” said Arreaza, but this “only covered up the ignorance of the people who were in power, and their lack of preparation to be able to lead the country.”

Arreaza also said that in order to keep a healthy government, it is important to keep checks and balances on the government, and the opportunity to debate, to speak freely, is one of the most important freedoms.

Tea Party Patriots Chairman Jenny Beth Martin expressed her support of Zeng and Arreaza.

“It is not just about keeping liberty alive in America for Americans, which we want, but it is also about keeping liberties alive in America so we have a place for people like Jennifer [Zeng] to go after they have experienced something like she has experienced,” said Martin.

The “Stop Socialism, Choose Freedom Rally” was held on the West Lawn of the Capitol on Sept. 19, 2019. Some of the other speakers included Sen. Mike Lee (R-Utah), Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio), Rep. Mo Brooks (R-Ala.), Debbie Dooley, head of Conservatives for Energy Freedom, and U.S. Army National Guard hero Alek Skarlatos, who helped stop a guman on a Paris-bound train in 2015.

Cruz at Tea Party Rally: NYTs is Trying to Intimidate the Supreme Court, a Vacancy is Coming

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas)

(Getty Images)

(CNSNews.com) – At a Capitol Hill Tea Party rally against socialism, Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) criticized the New York Times for publishing an unsubstantiated attack on Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh, stressing that the story wasn’t fit for a high school paper.

Cruz added that The Times ran the story, which they had to correct, “because they are trying to scare the court.” The smear against Kavanaugh shows “just how crazy” the Democratic candidates are, said Cruz, who noted that the candidates “want free, tax-payer abortion for transgender women.”

The Tea Party Patriots’ “Stop Socialism, Choose Freedom Rally” was held on Friday, Sept. 20, on the West Lawn of the U.S. Capitol. In addition to Sen. Cruz, some of the speakers included Sen. Mike Lee (R-Utah), Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio), Rep. Mo Brooks (R-Ala.), Tea Party Patriots’ Chairman Jenny Beth Martin and author Jennifer Zeng.

Cruz continued, “This week, the story they came up with is two guys said another guy said he saw something 30 years ago. We did not talk to the guy who said he saw it, and the woman who is the alleged victim, we are not going to mention this in the initial story, but she is not in fact the alleged victim because she is not alleging anything, and she says she doesn’t remember it at all. What?”

The New York Times story, based on a book from its reporters, claimed that Kavanaugh participated in a very lewd form of sexual harassment but The Times did not report that the alleged victim has said she does not remember any such incident taking place.

(YouTube)

As The Hill reported on Sept. 16, “The Times in the story … reported a former classmate of Kavanaugh’s named Max Stier said he witnessed the now-justice expose himself and force a female classmate to touch his penis at a dorm party. The Times said it corroborated the story with two other officials who had heard the same report from Stier.

“However, the woman involved in the alleged incident did not speak to the Times and, according to the correction, her friends say she does not recall that it happened.”

“They are doing it because they are trying to intimidate the court,” said Cruz. “They are doing that because they are trying to scare John Roberts. They are doing that because there is going to be another vacancy in the next year on the Supreme Court.”

Jenny Beth Martin also said she supported Justice Brett Kavanaugh.

“I am part of the women for Kavanaugh,” she said. “You won’t intimidate us — those of you on the left, we are not going away!”

Cruz also said comments on abortion made in the first Democratic debate showed that the candidates “are bat crap crazy” because they support candidate Julian Castro’s “free taxpayer funded abortion for transgender women” idea.

“I readily admit I am not smart enough to follow all the new terminology,” Cruz said. “But if I understand correctly what he is talking about, when he refers to a transgender woman he is talking about someone who is born biologically men, now […] I am pretty sure if that is the equipment you were born with, pregnancy is not in your future.”

Mark Levin Disagrees with Nancy Pelosi: If Sitting President Is Indicted, We the People Suffer

Nationally syndicated radio talk show host, TV host, author and American lawyer Mark Levin (left) (Screenshot) and Speaker Nancy Pelosi (right) (Photo by Alex Wong-Getty Images)

On his show “The Mark Levin Show” on Friday, nationally syndicated radio talk show host Mark Levin disagreed with Speaker Nancy Pelosi on indicting a sitting president, suggesting that if we were to indict a sitting president, we the people would suffer.

“Let’s say the president’s convicted,” stated Mark Levin. “Does he go to prison? Does the president go to prison? There is nothing that says he had to resign. So is he going to govern from prison? ‘Well, we’ll impeach him.’ Maybe they will. Maybe they won’t.

“So, who suffers?” asked Levin later in the program. “We the people, we suffer. Who benefits? Well, his political opponents, and our enemies, they benefit. Because obviously a president is going to be burdened. He’s going to be distracted. You’re going to have the same media pushing indictments, pushing convictions, pushing sentencing. It would be an impossible burden not just for the president as a citizen but for the nation – but for the nation.

Mark Levin’s remarks stem from an exclusive interview Speaker Nancy Pelosi had with National Public Radio (NPR). During the interview, Speaker Pelosi suggests that it is necessary to pass laws for future presidents to be indicted, further stating that “[t]he Founders could never suspect that a president would be so abusive of the Constitution of the United States, that the separation of powers would be irrelevant to him and that he would continue, any president would continue, to withhold facts from the Congress, which are part of the constitutional right of inquiry.”

Below is a transcript, in pertinent part, of Mark Levin’s remarks from his show on Friday:

“Now Nancy Pelosi has a great idea, and, of course, tongue and cheek.

“Pelosi says ‘Congress Should Pass New Laws So Sitting Presidents Can Be Indicted.’ This is [National Pubic Radio].

“‘House Speaker Nancy Pelosi suggested a new law is needed to be able to indict a sitting president for potential lawbreaking while in office.

“‘In an exclusive interview with NPR, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi says she has not changed her mind on pursuing impeachment but is ready to change the law to restrain presidential power […] make it clear that a sitting president can, in fact, be indicted.

“‘“I do think that we will have to pass some laws that will have clarity for future presidents. [A] president should be indicted, if he’s committed a wrongdoing

“‘[I]f he’s commited a wrongdoing’? He should be indicted ‘if he’s committed a wrongdoing’?

“‘“There is nothing anyplace that says the president should not be indicted,”’ she said.

“Now, I’m going to address this. You know, years ago, when I was a young man who hadn’t experienced, you know, the soberness of age and so forth, I used to say, ‘Yeah. We ought to be able to indict a sitting president,” and then I really started thinking about it. It’s like Convention of States. I said, ‘Now let’s think this through.’

“Look at the environment today. If you could indict a sitting president. Now, she doesn’t explain herself because she’s incapable of explaining herself. Does she mean any federal prosecutor can indict a sitting president? Does she mean state prosecutors? Does she mean local DAs? What does she mean? She doesn’t know what she means. Somebody will have to tell her what she means. She’s dimwitted.

“Alright, well, let’s move on from there.

“How about a federal prosecutor?

“Well, ladies and gentlemen, how many U.S. attorneys are there, at least how many U.S. attorney offices are there? There are 93. So there’s 93 U.S. attorneys or acting United States attorneys. There are thousands of assistant United States attorneys – thousands. That’s a lot.

“And so, when you have a U.S. attorney and assistant U.S. attorney who wants to investigate a president, let’s say for campaign finance issues or nondisclosure agreements, or they want to investigate a president because they think the president has violated the emoluments clause or they think the president of the United States has obstructed or they think this, that or the other. What kind of a president will you have? What kind of a presidency will we have? They’ll be crippled.

“Let’s say the president’s convicted. Does he go to prison? Does the president go to prison? There is nothing that says he had to resign. So is he going to govern from prison? ‘Well, we’ll impeach him.’ Maybe they will. Maybe they won’t.

“Let’s take it a few steps further. The president is still a citizen. He’s a citizen. So at the same time he is trying to defend himself in all these phases of an investigation in a court case – he’s dealing with Iran; he’s dealing with China, North Korea, immigration, a thousand issues – that when a president isn’t threatened with an indictment. It takes years and years off their lives. It is an incredibly difficult job, even without the threat of a criminal prosecution.

“So, who suffers? We the people, we suffer.

“‘Well, Mark, the president isn’t above the law.’ The president of the United States is one of a kind, whatever the party, whomever it is. There’s only one president. There’s hundreds of members of Congress. There’s hundreds of judges. There’s one president of the United States.

“And so, you could have one prosecutor, one prosecutor, decide, essentially, to reverse the course of an election just by bringing a charge – one prosecutor.

“‘Well, Mark, it would have to be coordinated with the attorney general’s office.’ No, it wouldn’t. Maybe, maybe not, we don’t know. It’s never happened. But let’s say it’s coordinated with the attorney general. So then you would have a cabinet member, who wasn’t elected by anybody, a cabinet member comes under enormous pressure from the editorial page of The New York Slimes and The Washington Compost, the daily drumbeat from the so-called newsrooms. Look at the attorney general in Israel. Look at how he buckled – and they do buckle. Look at our chief justice, how he buckles to media attention and media pressure. One attorney general might be no different.

“So, you would have a circumstance with the president of the United States, who, coming into office, would have his hands tied.”

Mark Levin also disagrees with Ben Shapiro, who agreed with Speaker Pelosi that a sitting president should be able to be invited, Shapiro suggesting in a tweet, “Curbing the executive through prosecution shouldn’t be off the table. In fact, I argued that with regard to the Obama administration. She should be careful what she wishes for.”

Rep. Nunes: ‘I Think This Is Probably the End of Biden’s Campaign’

Rep. Devin Nunes (R-Calif.) is ranking member of the House intelligence committee. (Photo by Drew Angerer/Getty Images)

(CNSNews.com) – Rep. Devin Nunes (R-Calif.), the ranking member of the House intelligence committee, says he wants to hear the complaint filed by an intelligence community whistleblower that has so far been withheld from Congress by the Acting Director of National Intelligence Joseph Maguire.

“I mean, we want to — we want to hear from that whistle-blower,” Nunes told Fox News’s Maria Bartiromo. “But it sure looks like the scheme has backfired. And this — like I said, I think this is probably the end of Biden’s campaign.”

“End of his campaign?” Bartiromo asked.

“I really do,” Nunes said. “I mean, not that he’s — he’s still formidable. He still has a bloc of support. But if you look, his lead is basically down to zero. If you look what happened in Iowa now, it looks like Elizabeth Warren is in the lead.”

On Sunday, President Trump told reporters that the conversation he had with newly elected Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky in July “was largely congratulatory, with largely corruption, all of the corruption taking place, and largely the fact that we don’t want our people like Vice President Biden and his son (contributing) to the corruption already in the Ukraine.”

The Wall Street Journal reported that Trump urged Zelensky to investigate the Bidens eight times.

All of this has renewed calls for impeaching Trump, with Democrat Socialist Rep. Alexandria Ocasio Cortez (D-N.Y.) tweeting on Saturday: “At this point, the bigger national scandal isn’t the president’s lawbreaking behavior — it is the Democratic Party’s refusal to impeach him for it.”

Asked to comment on AOC’s tweet, Nunes noted that she is a “socialist.”

“So what do socialists do? They want full control. They want one-party control,” Nunes said. “So the only way to get one-party control right now is to impeach the president.

“So that’s what they’re trying to do. So the more I think that they’re — that they’re out there promoting this kind of craziness and silliness, I think the more the American people are going to be put off, and I think the higher likelihood that President Trump is reelected.”

Nunes said there are questions that former Vice President Biden needs to answer “as to what he was doing talking to Ukrainian leadership at the time when his son has a contract” (with a Ukrainian natural gas company). Biden (and others) called for the firing of a Ukraine prosecutor who was investigating Biden’s son.

“We want to get to the bottom of that, also,” Nunes said. “But this scheme seems to have backfired on Biden. I mean, Biden is already dropping in the polls, and this probably could be the end.”

On Sunday, President Trump tweeted:

Now the Fake News Media says I “pressured the Ukrainian President at least 8 times during my telephone call with him.” This supposedly comes from a so-called “whistleblower” who they say doesn’t even have a first hand account of what was said. More Democrat/Crooked Media con…..

..Breaking News: The Ukrainian Government just said they weren’t pressured at all during the “nice” call. Sleepy Joe Biden, on the other hand, forced a tough prosecutor out from investigating his son’s company by threat of not giving big dollars to Ukraine. That’s the real story!

Biden responded to the latest Trump controversy via tweet and the spoken word.

“Desperate Donald Trump knows that I can beat him, so now he’s enlisting the help of a foreign government — once again. It’s an abuse of power and violates every basic norm of the presidency. We cannot give him four more years in the White House,” Biden tweeted (or his campaign did).

Biden said much the same thing in Iowa on Saturday, as he demanded that a transcript of Trump’s July phone call be released.

“Trump’s doing this because he knows I’ll beat him like a drum,” Biden said. “And he’s using the abuse of power and every element of the presidency to try to do something to smear me.

Biden said he had “never spoken to my son about his overseas business dealings.”

Trump said that’s a lie. And so it goes.

Maguire is scheduled to testify in open session on Thursday, Sept. 26. And President Trump will meet with the Ukraine president this week at the United Nations General Assembly in New York.

Greta Thunberg & Allies File Climate Complaint Against 5 Countries (Not China)

Swedish teen climate alarmist Greta Thunberg and 15 other children filed a complaint with the United Nations on Monday, accusing five countries of inaction on combatting so-called climate change.

The complaint, filed with the U.N. Committee on the Rights of the Child, accuses Argentina, Brazil, France, Germany, and Turkey of failing to fulfill their obligations to act against climate change, placing them in violation of the Convention on the Rights of the Child, a three-decade-old human rights treaty which sets out the “civil, political, social, and cultural rights of children.

“Change needs to happen now if we are to avoid the worst consequences. The climate crisis is not just the weather. It means also, lack of food and lack of water, places that are unlivable and refugees because of it. It is scary,” Thunberg said in a statement upon announcing the complaint.

The 16 petitioning children range from 8 to 17 years old and hail from Argentina, Brazil, France, Germany, India, Marshall Islands, Nigeria, Palau, South Africa, Sweden, Tunisia, and the United States.

The complaint was filed through the Third Optional Protocol, a mechanism which allows children to formally request the U.N. take action regarding the petitioner’s cause of choice.

The complaint does not name China, which accounts for 30 percent of global emissions, because it has not signed the part of the Convention on the Rights of the Child treaty allowing children to seek justice for breaching the agreement. The establishment media over the weekend remained silent on Beijing’s ban of Climate Strike events throughout the country, despite the participation of over 150 counties raising awareness for purported “global warming.”

The complaint’s filing came on the same day Thunberg unleashed an emotional tirade on world leaders at the U.N. Climate Action Summit in New York City.

“This is all wrong. I shouldn’t be up here. I should be back in school on the other side of the ocean yet you all come to us young people for hope. How dare you,” said the Swedish teenager in her planned remarks.

“You have stolen my dreams and my childhood with your empty words,” she added.

Sorry, Greta: Trump skips UN climate summit

Up until now, the public relations build-up for the big United Nations climate summit has been humongous.

After all, who better than the United Nations to get carbon emissions choking the earth down? The world’s at stake! Twelve years to oblivion. Submerged islands! Funerals for glaciers. Polar bears! A very big march of some manipulated kids, led by Swedish teen climate activist Greta Thunberg — and all of this hoopla getting lots of press.

Well, President Trump has a response for it, according to ABC News:

President Donald Trump is not scheduled to attend.

The climate summit is part of the United Nations General Assembly and was planned to “discuss a leap in collective national ambition,” not unlike the Paris Climate Agreement, the 2016 agreement from which Trump vowed to withdraw the U.S. in 2017.

On Friday, young people protested around the world, including in the U.S., to pressure leaders to take significant action toward preventing climate change.

It makes sense. The Paris climate accord was a pathetic failure, same as the Kyoto accords, because the bigfoot polluters, China and India, certainly weren’t going to stick their necks out on this. What’s more, greenie European countries such as Germany, never bothered to get their emissions down, either, largely due to their rejection of fracking and nuclear power. The U.S., by contrast, because of its fracking revolution, has indeed gotten its climate figures down without any stinking signature on the dotted line.

That’s right, the loudest proponents of greenhouse gas agreements are the biggest slackers on following their requirements. Which points to the reality that these international agreements, all failures, are really just about leftist dreams of seizing power over free and productive economies and dictating their terms.

Throwing the U.N. into this pathetic record of failure – it can’t even run a credible peacekeeping operation without a new pedophile scandal - is pretty much piling failure upon failure. Would China and India bother to cut their greenhouse gas emissions if the U.N. told them to? Something says no.

Which points to the wisdom of Trump’s refusal to even bother with this United Nations clown show. It’s a new takeover bid from unelected leftist bureaucrats to rule the U.S., which has the most pristine record on climate emissions anyway. It stinks, President Trump knows it stinks, and mercifully for us, he has the steely resolve to ignore the pressure campaigns and just let these compulsive meddlers play among themselves, except not on his time.

It’s called ‘winning.’
