On Monday, PolitiFact editor Angie Drobnic Holan wrote an article expressing her frustration that Sen. Ted Cruz would dare to mock her website on Twitter as “a wholly-owned subsidary of the DNC.” She insisted PolitiFact is an "independent, nonpartisan, nonprofit newsroom that fact-checks Democrats and Republicans alike" that was "unaffected by agenda or biases." That’s not what a look at the numbers on Ted Cruz vs. Elizabeth Warren show.

On Tuesday The Wall Street Journal reported that Zahra Billoo was directing Facebook and Twitter on censoring conservative voices.

Billoo had an exceptional hatred for Jewish conservative Laura Loomer and had Facebook and Twitter to delete Laura from their platform.

Yang: Climate Change May Require Elimination of Car Ownership

Democratic presidential candidate Andrew Yang said the United States may have to eliminate private car ownership to combat climate change during MSNBC’s climate forum at Georgetown University Thursday morning.

He told MSNBC host Ali Velshi that "we might not own our own cars" by 2050 to wean the United States economy off of fossil fuels, describing private car ownership as "really inefficient and bad for the environment." Privately owned cars would be replaced by a "constant roving fleet of electric cars."

A video posted by the GOP War Room shows Velshi asking Yang what measures he sees the world taking to fight climate change by 2050.

"You have this ability to envision the future, right, with your proposals on universal basic income. You’ve played the whole chess game out and you see what it looks like on the other end. Play the chess game out on climate change," Velshi said. "What does the world look like to you in 2050? What physically do you think we will do differently than we do today that will result in us fighting climate change?"

"Well I mentioned before that we might not own our own cars. Our current car ownership and usage model is really inefficient and bad for the environment," Yang said.

"You guys all probably agree with this because you’re quite young," he told the Georgetown University crowd, adding an anecdote about driving a 1985 Honda Accord as a young man.

Yang then proposed an alternative to individuals owning their own cars.

"What we’re really selling is not the car, it’s mobility," he said. "So if you have mobility that’s then tied into a much more, if you had like, for example, this constant roving fleet of electric cars that you would just order up, then you could diminish the impact of ground transportation on our environment very, very quickly."

Yang’s climate plan calls for nearly $5 trillion in spending over the next 20 years. His proposal includes embracing the impacts of climate change.

"Move our people to higher ground. Natural disasters and other effects of climate change are already causing damage and death. We need to adapt our country to this new reality," his plan states.

The plan also includes a zero emissions standard for all new cars by 2030 and hundreds of billions of dollars in investments in emission-free ground and air transportation.

Yang enjoyed a recent polling bump and is now in fourth place in the California primary ahead of formerly "top-tier" candidate Sen. Kamala Harris (D., Calif.). "Must have been the crowdsurfing," he tweeted.

New Evidence Suggests Cory Booker, Kamala Harris and Others Were In On the Jussie Smollett Hoax

Jussie Smollet held a number of conversations with Cory Booker and Kamala Harris about supporting their sponsored Justice for Victims of Lynching Act and providing the needed public momentum for the bill to pass the Senate and House.

The timeline of these conversations (December 21-January 18, 2019) suggests that the death threat letter he sent himself (January 22-23) and his staged attack (January 29), were timed to create an opinion groundswell to support the bill and prop the political and professional career of the three masterminds.

It is noteworthy that both, Harris and Booker released separate statements condemning Smollet’s attack using the following identical language “an attempted modern-day lynching” –

At the time Booker released his statement at 12:09 PM and Harris hers at 1:30 PM they could not have possibly known what the motive for the attack was because the police were only a few hours into the investigation.

The first tip that the Chicago police received regarding the true nature of the case came from within Smollett’s inner circle. One of his friends realized that he was now being investigated as a suspect, and decided that he didn’t want to be an accessory to a crime. He then contacted the police and told them that “the entire event was orchestrated by Smollett.” This is another strong indicator that multiple participants knew about staged attack in advance.

Beyond the obvious question of how Smollett managed to shake off 16 felony charges without breaking a sweat, is the issue of Cory Booker’s and Kamala Harris’s involvement in the planning and orchestration of Smollett’s publicity stunt. All material evidence suggest that parts of the event were influenced by Booker and Harris.

The State’s Attorney for Cooke County, Kim Foxx, is connected to a number of Democrats including the Clintons, Harris, Booker and Jesse Jackson (see picture above).  Tina Tchen worked with Foxx to drop the charges against Smollett –

And Tchen is also connected to the Obamas.  Some other puzzling questions about this case are who beside Tina Tchen, Michelle Obama, and Jesse Jackson Sr/Jr. (another big-time felon), were in on the decision that Smollett’s punishment should be limited to forfeiting his $10K bail and volunteering with Jackson’s Rainbow PUSH Coalition for 16 hours? And who worked out, coordinated, and blessed the details of this settlement?

The walls finally may be closing in on Ilhan Omar

There is ample reason to suspect that Rep. Ilhan Omar has committed multiple frauds. Scott Johnson of Powerline, a retired attorney, has been covering freshman House member ever since her run for the Minnesota State Legislature, and has been among the most active investigators of suspicions that she committed immigration fraud by legally marrying her brother in order to get him into the United States. Yesterday, he wrote about the genesis of his suspicions:

A few days after I started writing about Ilhan Omar on Power Line in August 2016 — after she had won the primary for the DFL state legislative endorsement — I was contacted by a source who agreed to discuss his knowledge of Omar’s family with me. At our meeting he told me that Ahmed Nur Said Elmi — Omar’s legal husband, so to speak, as of that date — was Omar’s brother and that she had married him for fraudulent purposes. 

And, Omar herself entered the United States under an assumed identity:

My source told me that Omar and another member or two of the Elmi family had entered the United States as fraudulent members of the Omar family. That would go some way to explain why Omar lacks any acknowledged relative with the name Omar.

Now, a tweet that she deleted two days ago is providing corroboration for those suspicions. Shaikh Tawhidi, the Imam of Peace, called attention to the deletion:

All if this led Scott, a lawyerly (in the best sense of the term) and cautious man, to finally announce that with 100% confidence, he now believes Omar is guilty of multiple frauds. He spoke about this last night with Tucker Carlson:

The time is now for a grand jury investigation of this suspected immigration fraud. The US Attorney for Minnesota, Erica H. MacDonald, should be investigating this, if she isn’t already. DNA tests of Rep. Omar and her now ex-husband should be dispositive.  I am not a lawyer, but my general understanding is that the evidence assembled by Johnson, Rosiak, and others might be sufficient to present to a grand jury, which could then subpoena DNA samples.

Hero K-9 Finds Missing Age 3 Boy with Autism in Just 28 Minutes

Most people have strong associations with certain dog breeds. Golden retriever? Family dog. German shepherd? K-9. Saint Bernard? Avalanche rescue (or Beethoven).

Bloodhound? Tracking.

Bloodhounds, being scent hounds, have a valuable asset in their nose. They love to sniff and wander and are a large breed that can go for miles, giving them a somewhat negative reputation as a pet that is strong-willed and will ignore all else to follow a scent.

The same characteristics that make them potentially troublesome housemates makes them excellent working dogs, and they’re naturally suited to tracking specific scents and finding lost people.

On Sept. 15, one of the Santa Rosa County sheriff K-9s — a bloodhound, of course — proved its tracking prowess when it found a lost child in dense woods — in under half an hour.

Young Aedric of Santa Rosa County, Florida, only 3 years old, has autism and got away from his grandmother on the evening of Sept. 15. He took his opportunity while grandma was using the bathroom.

She’d deadbolted the front door, but the clever young boy unlocked it and away he went. Heading for the woods, he was soon lost from view and did not come back.

His mother, Audra Hughes, was terrified when she heard about her son’s disappearance.

“The most terrifying words a mother can get on the phone is ‘your child is missing, get home right now,’” she said, according to the Miami Herald.

While law enforcement scoured the area behind the home for two hours, they couldn’t find the 3-year-old.

So they called in backup, in the form of one of the department’s four-legged officers. While no specific information about the particular canine was offered other than that it was a bloodhound, the dog was present at the news conference the next morning, after it did its good and necessary work.

Sheriff Bob Johnson said the diligent dog found Aedric within minutes.

“Once the dog hit the ground, it was 28 minutes until we got the child,” he said.

Hughes said that the news was “the best news I’ve ever heard in my life.” Her son was back in her arms — scraped up and bug-bitten, but healthy and whole.

Santa Rosa County District One posted photos to Facebook to commend the sheriff’s office and their bloodhounds.

“Great job Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office!” they posted on their Facebook page. “Their bloodhounds found a missing 3 year old autistic boy who was lost in the woods today. Thank you to everyone else that [came] out to help with this effort.

During the news conference the next day, Aedric was presented with a giant stuffed animal wearing a shirt, which will no doubt help him remember the happy ending to what could have been a tragic accident.

Is ‘Fair and Balanced’ Really Fair?

A Conflicted Mission Statement

President Trump recently tweeted his discontent with some of Fox News Channel’s hires, such as their bringing on Donna Brazile as a political contributor. In his defense of Fox’s coverage, Neil Cavuto cited the network’s former mission statement in asserting, “It’s called being fair and balanced, Mr. President.”

By balanced Fox apparently means representing both the left and right, Democrat and Republican. Unlike the other major networks that manifest strong bias toward the left, Fox promises to refrain from bias in either direction, providing balanced representation to both. Hiring Brazile reflects that objective.

This position at first blush seems noble, placing Fox above the partisan fray. Further consideration, however, reveals that fairness and balance are irreconcilable, at least in covering many critical news topics. Here is the problem.

The Role of Truth

The fair and balanced mantra suggests that both left and right, Democrat and Republican, hold valid perspectives. This, however, is not the case. Though the truth of individual statements made by both sides might be challenged, the central elements of the left consist of error.

Materialism, the belief that only matter and energy exist, comprises the core component of the leftist worldview. However, recent discoveries of science reveal that life is too complex for even a single cell to develop solely through the mechanisms of time plus chance plus natural selection.

A recent video series by Discovery Institute provides compelling support for that conclusion. The materialist view of the universe is not rooted in scientific truth but in the leftist commitment to a universe devoid of God.

Communism and socialism, the left’s favorite political theories, have consistently produced disaster. Big government, with high taxes and intrusive regulations, has also failed repeatedly. By way of contrast, the lower taxes and fewer regulations of the Trump administration have produced economic success.

Likewise, leftists justify abortion with the claim that a woman has a right to do what she wants with her body. BBC’s Ethics guide cites as the first argument in favor of abortion as, “women have a moral right to decide what to do with their bodies.” (Emphasis theirs) This position connotes that the unborn baby does not possess a separate identity and commensurate rights, which is obviously untrue.

The list could go on of erroneous positions embraced by the left. Its educational theories produce failing test scores, its social policies are destroying the family, and its ideologies are producing societal fragmentation. These failures expose the faulty nature of their ideas.

In light of the erroneous character of leftist positions, the commitment of Fox News to balance requires it to air equal parts of truth and falsehood. Doing so conflicts with its quest to be fair. Is it fair to the American people to present untruth on the same footing as truth? Is it fair to present conservative positions that are supported by reality as rational and moral equals with those promoting error?

Error and Harm

This propagation of error in the name of balance is also unfair because of its potential to inflict harm.

The policies of the left have already resulted in the murder of over 60 million unborn babies. How unfair to babies in the womb to give a platform to those advocating the right to kill them.

If Fox’s pursuit of balance helps the Democrats secure the presidency and Congress, this could lead to the advancement of socialism and even communism in our society. These systems have resulted in despotism, oppression, poverty, and murder, as seen in the Soviet Union, communist China, North Korea, Cuba, and now Venezuela. How unfair to the American people, in the name of balance, to lend a voice to reducing America to another Venezuela.

Fox Must Maintain Responsibility

Fox News may seek to escape its responsibility to sort out truth from error with the cliché, “We report. You decide.” This approach conveys a postmodern view in which truth does not exist but only stories. This reduces Fox’s role merely to telling the stories, both left and right, and letting the listener decide which he prefers.

Their profession as journalists, however, assigns them the responsibility of determining what is the truth and what is not. Yes, in some instances the truth is not so apparent, and it is good for the public to hear both sides.

However, in most issues involving left versus right, the truth is accessible and as journalists, they are responsible to access it. Presenting both sides as possessing an equal claim to the truth is neither journalistically responsible nor fair.

Fox News must decide whether it wants to be balanced or fair, but it cannot be both.

In the past, it has displayed a preference toward fairness. Trump seems to express a legitimate concern that it is currently trending more toward balance.

Fox News would do itself and the American public a favor by scrapping the “fair and balanced” mantra and replacing it with “fair and factual.”

Doing so might even improve its relationship with the president.

Heroic Chick-fil-A Employee Saves Life of Man Dying in Parking Lot: ‘God Placed Me’ There

A Chick-fil-A employee in Chula Vista, California, is being hailed for his heroism after he ran from his post outside the restaurant’s drive-thru to perform CPR on a man in the nearby parking lot.

For Tauya Nenguke, it began as just another day at work. As a manager at the fast-food chain, Nenguke is used to overseeing other employees, adding support to make sure the branch produces the same level of top-quality service for which Chick-fil-A is famous.

However, the team leader has other aspirations outside of the Chick-fil-A family.

Hoping to attend nursing school, the 22-year-old has already taken several classes to help reach his goal while working for the restaurant.

But he never imagined that his new skills would come in handy quite so soon.

On Sept. 11 around 8:30 p.m., Nenguke was working with his drive-thru team taking orders outside when he noticed a dangerous situation developing across the parking lot. A group of friends was standing around a 20-year-old man who had fallen unconscious, trying to perform CPR as the man slipped into cardiac arrest.

Seeing the danger, Nenguke leaped into action.

“He handed his iPad for orders to one on his co-workers and sprinted across the parking lot,” Cheryl Shields, Chick-fil-A director of marketing and community relations for Eastlake Terraces Chick-fil-A, wrote on the location’s Facebook account according to KSWB-TV.

As he ran up to help, the Chick-fil-A employee discovered the group descending into a panic at the sight of their friend unconscious on the ground.

The man “wasn’t breathing or anything,” Nenguke told KGTV.

“Tauya immediately took over the situation and started chest compressions on the unresponsive young man before having someone call 911,” the Chick-fil-A Facebook post continued.

“His eyes were rolled back behind his head,” the manager said of the stranger. “I know this guy was out. I didn’t know how long I just started chest compression immediately.”

As they waited for paramedics to arrive at the scene, Nenguke coached the man’s friends in the correct procedures for CPR, taking turns keeping his heart pumping until he could be taken to a hospital.

The man survived the incident, according to paramedics who said that without Nenguke’s skills and quick-thinking, the patient very likely would have died.

But Nenguke isn’t taking all the credit for saving the stranger’s life. He said he knows it was in God’s plan for him to be there at just the right time.

And not only that, but the future RN is grateful for the opportunity to help, feeling that the experience confirmed his dream of serving others through medicine.

God not only sent him to help someone in need, but also provided reassurance that he is on the right path.

“There wasn’t any hesitation on my part. I knew that was the place where God placed me at that time,” he said. “This was honestly a really big calling to be in health care because it was like instinct took over.”

His coworkers weren’t surprised that Nenguke stepped up to help when no one else knew what to do.

“He has made us proud for his quick action and willingness to help someone who had a need!” co-worker Rachel Hunsberger wrote on Facebook.

Elizabeth Warren won’t tell the truth about middle-class taxes despite Stephen Colbert pleading with her to do so

Elizabeth Warren appeared on the Stephen Colbert show Tuesday night. Colbert’s interview quickly turned into a public attempt to help Warren craft a more honest answer about one of her main policy proposals, Medicare for All. Colbert did his best to make the case that Warren should stop avoiding the fact that her plan would necessitate raising middle-class taxes.

Colbert set up the segment by calling her Medicare for All proposal the “most radical” of all of her positions. Warren quibbled with that but then Colbert got to his question. “You keep being asked in the debate ‘How are you going to pay for it? Are you going to raise the middle-class’ taxes?’” Colbert said.

Warren then launched into her well-rehearsed spiel about raising “costs” on the wealth and concluded, “hard-working middle-class families are going to see their costs go down.” Of course, that wasn’t the question.

“But will their taxes go up?” Colbert asked again.

“But here’s the thing…” Warren said.

“No, but here’s the thing,” Colbert interjected. He continued, “I’ve listened to these answers a few times before and I just want to make a parallel suggestion for you about how you might defend the taxes that perhaps you’re not mentioning in your sentence.

“Isn’t Medicare for All like public school? There might be taxes for it, but you certainly save a lot of money on sending your kids to school, and do you want to live in a world where your kids aren’t educated? Do you want to live in a world where your fellow citizens are dying, even if it costs a little bit of money?”

What Colbert is really arguing here is that you can offer a defense of M4A without running in circles rhetorically to avoid admitting that it will require higher taxes. It’s a plea for being more forthcoming with the American people. Even Bernie Sanders, who also supports M4A, has admitted it would require raising taxes on the middle-class.

This is exactly what Warren is refusing to say. But instead of dropping the talking points at Colbert’s prompting, she launched into a filibuster answer that lasted more than two minutes.

At the end of her spiel, Colbert could have easily destroyed Warren by simply asking her once again, “But will their taxes go up?” That would have highlighted the way in which her lengthy answer never answered his simple question. It probably would have become a viral clip on social media as well. But Colbert is a Democrat and he’s not interested in playing hardball with Democrats, especially ones who have a real shot at securing the nomination. So when Warren was finally finished with her non-answer, Colbert quickly moved on.

To sum this up, Colbert spends most of this segment trying to encourage Warren to be more honest and when she refuses to take his advice he gives her a pass. You can probably imagine how this would have gone if a Republican candidate were similarly dancing around the truth. Here’s the clip:
