“Given our campaign’s commitment to fighting for a living wage of at least $15.00 an hour, we believe it is only fair that the campaign would carry through this commitment to its own field team,” the letter added.

Sanders told the Des Moines Register that he was bothered that the complaints were made public.

“It does bother me that people are going outside of the process and going to the media,” Sanders said. “That is really not acceptable. It is really not what labor negotiations are about, and it’s improper.”

While he initially said he would address the issue by limiting employee hours, Sanders announced that the campaign reached a deal with unsettled staffers.

“We made an offer which would have addressed that problem several months ago; it was rejected,” Sanders told CNN. “We underwent negotiations. It has now, the offer, it has been accepted.”

“We have and will always be committed to the fight for fair pay, decent work conditions, and a strong labor movement — for our own workers and those all across this country,” Shakir said, following the agreement.

“We’re proud to have successfully negotiated with the union in good faith to raise the pay of field organizers while continuing to ensure our campaign staffers are being paid a living wage,” he added.

“I read the papers and I read the press and I read the internet and if you see what is going on the internet, if you listen to the internet, this was one of the worst performances in the history of our country,” he said.

He acknowledged, however, that Mueller’s material was flawed, which was part of the reason for his poor performance.

“There was no defense of what Robert Mueller was trying to defend in all fairness to Robert Mueller … there was no defense to this ridiculous hoax, this witch hunt,” Trump said.

The president panned the entire Mueller investigation as a “phony cloud” over his administration, repeating that it was a “hoax.”

“The whole thing has been three years of embarrassment for our country,” he said.

The president’s eldest son, who is also the family’s most outspoken political operative, predicted that President Trump will greatly expand his electoral map in the upcoming 2020 election.

“When you look at what’s been going on for the last few years, it’s hard to believe that not all of them will [be battleground states],” he said. “It’s a disgrace what’s happening on the other side.”

“On paper, all of them should be up for grabs,” Trump added. “I realize that’s not going to happen, but it should. If facts mattered, 2020 would be over right now, but because of mainstream media bias, because of Hollywood and pop culture biases, it’s always going to be a tough fight, and we’re going to be out there fighting hard every day.”

After calling Wednesday’s hearing a predictable embarrassment for the Democrats, Moore attempted to rally the left for next year’s election.
