Report: Nearly Half of Young European Jews Victims of Antisemitism

TEL AVIV – Forty-four percent of young Europeans Jews have been the victim of an antisemitic incident in the past year and almost half of them choose not to wear items of clothing identified with Judaism out of fear for their safety, a new European Union report found.

More than half the 16-34-year-olds surveyed were students. Eighty-five percent said that as Jews they are blamed for the actions of the Israeli government at least occasionally, while a quarter said it happens “all the time.”

With 16,000 young Jews surveyed from 12 EU member states, this is the largest poll of its kind.

The poll noted that those surveyed were a “well-educated group, with strong roots in Europe and strong attachments to the countries in which they live.”

Despite that, the poll noted, “four in five believe antisemitism to be a problem in their countries, and the same proportion believes the problem to have deteriorated in recent years.”

In a foreword to the report, Director of the European Union’s Agency for Fundamental Rights (FRA) Michael O’Flaherty called the results “deeply troubling.”

“These findings make for grim reading,” O’Flaherty writes. “We must fight antisemitism by tackling it at its roots, no matter how difficult that is.”

The percentage of all Jews suffering antisemitism was “strikingly high,” the report said, however “young people are clearly the most vulnerable group.”

Eighty percent of victims of antisemitic harassment and 51% of victims of antisemitic violence did not report it to local authorities.

Across the three age groups surveyed, antisemitism was perpetrated most often by “someone with a Muslim extremist view.”

Twenty-one percent identified the perpetrator as “someone with a left-wing political view,” and 14% pointed to “someone with a right-wing political view.”

Many of the incidents were perpetrated by a “teenager or group of teenagers,” or a “colleague from work or school/college,” the report said, noting that this raises a question about the extent to which this is happening within the university sector.

“Existing evidence shows that Jewish university students — especially those involved in some way in student politics — are known to be particularly susceptible to antisemitic harassment from their fellow students, often expressed in the form of anti-Israel discourse,” the report said.

“Such highly politicized university environments, often fueled by a staunchly leftist political agenda, can feel acutely uncomfortable, and indeed antisemitic, for many of them,” it adds.

Thirty-seven percent of young European Jews say that the Israeli-Arab conflict affects their feeling of safety in their own country “a great deal,” while one in ten say it has no effect.

Eighty-one percent of young Jews said antisemitism is a problem in their country, with 83% saying the problem has been on the rise over the past five years.

“The Jewish population of Europe has been in a state of decline for a century and a half now, and leaders working at the European, national and local levels have a fundamental responsibility to construct a social and political context in which Jews, and indeed all minorities, feel safe,” the report’s author Dr. Jonathan Boyd said. “For all the efforts many good people are making on all of these levels, these data suggest that much more still needs to be done.”

FNC’s Pirro on ‘The Squad’: ‘They Know How to Weaponize Their Hate’

Saturday during the “Opening Statement” segment of her Fox News Channel program “Justice,” host Jeanine Pirro hammered “The Squad,” a foursome of freshman Democrat congresswomen who are in a public feud with President Donald Trump.

Pirro criticized the four for their left-wing agenda and explained how they villainize opponents, including Trump by “weaponizing” hate.

“[L]et me tell you about ‘The Squad’: a benign-sounding high school term that in reality, presents a dangerous assault on everything we hold dear,” she said. “These four freshman congresswomen: Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Ilhan Omar, Rashida Tlaib, and Ayanna Pressley are radical socialists who want to punish success and destroy capitalism. They know how to weaponize their hate. And don’t you dare criticize them. If you do, they will do everything within their power to destroy you, or if you’re the president, impeach you — if you don’t share their radical, socialist, leftist, ‘hate America’ agenda. And if you don’t, you’re a racist, a bigot, a misogynist, a xenophobe or just plain deplorable.”

EMBARRASSING: “Woke” Bank of America President Moynihan Explains Decision to Refuse Business with Illegal Alien Holding Centers (Video)

Last month it was illegal alien holding centers.
Next month it will be gun manufacturers.
The month after that pro-life organizations.
This will NEVER end until the fascist left holds total control over thoughts, speech and incomes.

“Woke” Bank of America CEO Brian Moynihan joined Maria Bartiromo on Sunday Morning Futures this morning.

Moynihan attempted to explain the company’s decision to refuse business with illegal alien holding centers.

Moynihan sees himself as a noble man with noble causes.  His company does not believe illegal aliens should be detained.

He then went on to explain that it was a team decision and that America needs immigrants. Those are two different arguments. It made no sense.

He has absolutely NO IDEA what he’s talking about.  What an embarrassing interview.

Alleged ISIS Sniper Entered U.S. from Kazakhstan on ‘Diversity Visa Lottery’

A man charged with joining the Islamic State (ISIS) as a sniper and firearms instructor originally came to the United States through the “Diversity Visa Lottery,” a program responsible for bringing more than half a million randomly chosen foreign nationals to the country in a single decade.

Ruslan Maratovich Asainov, 42-years-old, was charged last week in a Brooklyn, New York, federal court for aiding ISIS in 2013 when he allegedly traveled to Turkey and Syria to fight for the terrorist group.

Asainov, the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) agency has confirmed, first arrived in the U.S. through the Diversity Visa Lottery in February 1999.

The Visa Lottery randomly gives out about 55,000 visas every year to foreign nationals from a multitude of countries, including those with known terrorist problems — such as Afghanistan, Algeria, Egypt, Iraq, Lebanon, Libya, Nigeria, Saudi Arabia, Somalia, Syria, Yemen, and Uzbekistan.

Requirements for foreign nationals to win the visa lottery are low, with the foreign national only needing a high school degree and two years of work experience. Despite the weak prerequisites needed to obtain the visa, foreign nationals can later obtain green cards to permanently stay in the U.S. and after living in the country for five years can become American citizens and begin bringing their extended relatives to the country, a system known as “chain migration.”

Asainov, in September 2006, was allowed to become a naturalized U.S. citizen.

The alleged ISIS sniper is just the latest foreign national that has successfully entered the country through the legal immigration system, and specifically the Visa Lottery. In 2017, Uzbek national Sayfullo Saipov allegedly murdered eight people after mowing them down with his car in the Tribeca neighborhood in New York City.

Saipov, like Asainov, came to the U.S. through the Visa Lottery in 2010 before the federal government granted him a green card to permanently stay in the country.

Since 2005, Breitbart News reported, more than half a million foreign nationals have come to the U.S. by randomly winning the Visa Lottery, bringing with them a chain migration of five million foreign nationals since 1994, according to researchers at the Center for Immigration Studies.

Over the last half-decade between 2012 and 2016, as Breitbart News reported, 72,794 foreign nationals have come to the U.S. on the Visa Lottery from countries that the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agency has designated as terrorist-sponsors.

In 2016 alone, more than 15,600 foreign nationals entered the U.S. from terrorist-sponsored countries through the Visa Lottery. Those countries included Iran, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Afghanistan, Somalia, Syria, Sudan, and Algeria.

LA’s Homeless Sue The City For Its Property-Destroying Street Sweeps

Via RedState: LA has a problem. Well, okay — it has thousands of problems. But one of them is the rampant increase of people camping out — and crapping out(side) — on the streets. Earlier in the month, I covered Victor Davis Hanson’s statement to Tucker Carlson that LA’s helped make California the nation’s first […]

Schlapp: ‘Democratic Presidential Candidates Are Going to Have to Kiss the Ring of the Squad’

Sunday on ABC’s “This Week,” Donald Trump 2020 campaign senior adviser Mercedes Schlapp warned that Democratic presidential candidates were going to have to “kiss the ring of ‘the Squad,’” which includes Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) Rashida Tlaib (D-MI), Ilhan Omar (D-MN) and Ayanna Pressley (D-MA).

STEPHANOPOULOS: Let’s get a response now from the Trump campaign. Mercedes Schlapp, senior adviser, joins us now. And Mercedes, thank you for joining us this morning. I want to get you to respond to Congressman Cummings. He says President Trump is racist.

MERCEDES SCHLAPP, TRUMP 2020 CAMPAIGN SENIOR ADVISER: Look, I have worked with President Trump for two years and he is not a racist. He’s a compassionate man whose policies have focused on the minority community. I mean, you look at the fact that the president has pushed and implementing the opportunity zones that helps low-income distressed communities across the country, including Baltimore.

You look at the fact that the unemployment numbers for African Americans is at its lowest, for Hispanics at its lowest. I mean, he is a results-oriented president who is focused on helping uplift all Americans, including blacks, including Hispanics. And I have to say I’ve been with him in the room with all these — with all these different communities and he does stay focused on ensuring that we’re implementing the right policies for all Americans.

STEPHANOPOULOS: Mercedes, we also saw him in that room in North Carolina this week, 13 seconds as the crowd chanted “send her back.” And you actually retweeted a tweet from Ben Shapiro, which said those chants are disgusting. So, it seems like you are at odds with the president. You had a different reaction to that chant.

SCHLAPP: Not at all, the president disavowed the chant. The president made it clear that he wasn’t happy with the chant. And he disagreed with it. I think at the end of the day…

STEPHANOPOULOS: Hold on a second — let me stop you there, where did the president make it clear that he wasn’t happy with the chant in that moment? I’m going to roll it again…

SCHLAPP: He made it clear in the press conference that he had the day afterwards.

STEPHANOPOULOS: 13 seconds. The next day he said he wasn’t happy with it. He didn’t show it in the moment. And this morning…

SCHLAPP: I mean, you all can make that analysis. And I’m sure you have been to a Trump rally. There’s a lot of emotion. There’s a lot going on. He continued with his speech. He made it very clear the next day he was not happy with the chat.

But what I’m unhappy about are the chants of the Squad, the chants of anti-American, anti-Semitic chants that they push forward. The fact that when you look at the Squad and the new…

STEPHANOPOULOS: Does that justify saying send her back?

SCHLAPP: … Democrat leadership and the fact that many of these Democrats are concerned, even Congressman Cummings said that he’s concerned with their race — just calling freely people racist, calling people — making anti-Semitic remarks, being that a distraction.

Many of these Democrats are concerned that the Squad is now the new Democrat leadership. I mean, even for them, the Squad, to imply that Nancy Pelosi was a racist, that even the president came out and said that was disrespectful.

So, they have to be very careful when they’re painting half of America as being racist, that is very problematic. We can not use that term very loosely.

STEPHANOPOULOS: And you did hear Chairman Cummings there say he does think they have to learn to talk about things in a different way.

But you keep talking about how the president disavowed the chant. Just yesterday, and I want to show it up on the screen right now, he sent around a tweet from a woman named Katie Hopkins, which says the new campaign slogan for 2020 is “Don’t love it, leave it. Send her back is the new lock her up. Well done, Team Trump.” The president retweeted that tweet yesterday. That doesn’t sound like he’s disavowing the chant.

SCHLAPP: Look, he made it very clear that he disagreed with the chant. And I will tell you he stands with those people in North Carolina across the country who support him. And why? Because they love America. They know that the president is fighting for them every day, and it’s African-Americans, it’s Hispanics, it’s women, it’s men. I’ve been to those rallies. I’ve been to those events where they say I love this country. I love the American flag.

What are you seeing the other side? You’re seeing the Squad dictating the rules of the Democratic Party which is very clear that they’re pushing forward, you know, very disturbing statements.

STEPHANOPOULOS: It sounds like you’re picking up…

SCHLAPP: They’re calling our border patrol agents Nazis, they’re calling our detention centers concentration camps. Omar, herself, has come out with very anti-Semitic remarks, basically saying to legislators that you have dual loyalty. That is problematic. And I think that that is where you see the Democratic Party in disarray, where these Democratic presidential candidates are going to have to kiss the ring of the Squad, because they are the new voices of the Democrat Party, and that should be concerning.

STEPHANOPOULOS: You said the crowd in North Carolina loves our country, the president has said that those members of Congress don’t love our country, he says they hate America. That’s the textbook definition of saying someone is not patriotic.

SCHLAPP: I mean, I worry. I tell you my parents came here from Cuba. They fled Communism. We know the failed experiments of these very extreme ideologies and what the Squad is promoting is that. They themselves have said that American exceptionalism is exported abroad but not practiced here in America. People here in America —

STEPHANOPOULOS: The president has said very similar things.

SCHLAPP: — you know what’s beautiful, George?

STEPHANOPOULOS: Mercedes, what — I know —

SCHLAPP: Can I tell you something? What’s so beautiful about America is the fact that we do have freedom of speech, that we’re able to have these — this political discourse. And so for them to be able to just go and attack the president, for them to be able to basically make these comments where they say, let’s be compassionate. For example, Omar came out basically writing a letter to judge, saying, let’s be compassionate — let’s show compassion to those individuals who are going to plan to join ISIS. That’s disturbing to me. When they push forward a government-controlled agenda where that is something that we know could be incredibly destructive to our democracy, that’s — that’s problematic, George.

STEPHANOPOULOS: That’s for your view, but you and the president seem to be saying that if you criticize the United States — conditions in the United States while he’s president, that’s unpatriotic. The president was roundly criticizing —

SCHLAPP: It’s not — no — you have to —

STEPHANOPOULOS: — the conditions in the United States when — when he was not president.

SCHLAPP: Look, it is not — this is — they’re fundamentally criticizing the United States when they’re pushing forward policies that are — that are basically anti-Semitic, that — they’re attacking our law enforcement, that they’re going — where — where they are being anti-American, that to us is very concerning. We are pushing policies —

STEPHANOPOULOS: Mercedes Schlapp —

SCHLAPP: — that is that of pushing democracy and freedom in America. When you’re pushing a socialist or a communist agenda and you’re attacking Americans, that’s a problem.

STEPHANOPOULOS: There is no one who has pushed a communist agenda, but we have to end right there. Mercedes Schlapp, thanks very much.

Stephen Miller: Criticism Is OK, Turning America Into Venezuela Isn’t

White House senior adviser and speechwriter Stephen Miller told Fox News Sunday that left-wing Democrats were not merely criticizing the U.S. to improve it, but rather hoping to turn it into a socialist country like Venezuela.

Miller appeared Sunday with host Chris Wallace to defend President Donald Trump in the ongoing controversy about his tweets about the Democrats’ so-called “Squad” — Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), Rashida Tlaib (R-MI), Ilhan Omar (D-MN), and Ayanna Pressley (D-MA). Wallace asked Miller whether there was any distinction between what the “Squad” had said about America, and criticisms that President Trump had made in the past:

Wallace: Why is what those congresswomen have said in general any worse than what you just heard Donald Trump say — President Obama is ignorant, this country is ‘killers,’ on and on?

Miller: It’s a great question. So I want to drill down on it because it’s really the heart of the debate that we are having in this country right now. Anybody who is running for office —  right, left, or center, — always point out where they think America can do better, where America needs to go but there’s a fundamental distinction between people who think that we need to lean into and strengthen America’s core values — whether it be our constitutional values, the rule of law, the principles of western civilization — or people who think that we basically need to turn America into Venezuela.

Miller later added: “The president ran a campaign that can be summarized in two words: ‘America first.’ There’s a huge difference between ‘America first’ and an ideology that runs down America.”

Several members of the Squad have weighed in to oppose the Trump administration’s policy of pressure and sanctions on Venezuela, but Rep. Omar has been most vocal as a member of the House Foreign Affairs Committee.

While supporting sanctions on Israel through the “boycott, divestment, sanctions” (BDS) movement, Omar has opposed sanctions on Venezuela and blamed sanctions, not socialism, for the implosion of the Venezuelan economy.

Ocasio-Cortez, appearing with the “Squad” on CBS this week, described the “story” of America as a perpetual struggle of the many against the few:

I think America has always been a story, and America has always been about the triumph of people who fight for everyone versus those who want to preserve rights for just a select few, and there is no bottom to the barrel of vitriol that will be used and weaponized to stifle those who want to advance rights for all people in in the the United States.

Omar has spoken about fighting for what America “truly should be,” not what it is.
