BREAKING: New York Times Obtains Trump’s Tax Docs From 1985 to 1994

The New York Times obtained 10 years of Donald Trump’s tax documents from his federal income tax returns — for the years 1985 – 1994.

To be clear, The Times did not obtain Trump’s actual tax returns, rather they obtained printouts from his IRS transcripts with numbers from his tax form, 1040, from an individual who had legal access to them.

The Democrats have been gunning for Trump’s taxes so they can selectively leak information to damage the president.

Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin on Monday formally rejected the Dems’ request for Trump’s tax returns, so someone leaked Trump’s tax docs to the New York Times anyway.

At first glance, it is being reported that Donald Trump core businesses (hotels, apartment buildings and casinos) took a $1.17 billion loss. Big deal, he’s in the real estate business which fluctuates all the time.

The Times also said that Trump didn’t pay federal income taxes for 8-10 years — of course this is normal for business owners as they can roll their losses over (net operating loss), but the stupid liberals don’t understand this concept and will surely use it to hammer Trump.

The Times cited 5 takeaways from Trump’s tax figures:

1. Mr. Trump was deep in the red even as he peddled deal-making advice

“Trump: The Art of the Deal” came out in 1987. It became a best seller — and a powerful vehicle for the self-spun myth of the self-made billionaire that would ultimately help propel him to the presidency.

2. In multiple years, he appears to have lost more money than nearly any other individual taxpayer

The tax results for the years that followed trace an arc of continued empire building — and gathering loss.

He bought the Eastern Airlines shuttle for $365 million; it never made a profit, and he spent more than $7 million a month to keep it flying. His new Trump Taj Mahal Hotel and Casino, opened in 1990 with more than $800 million in debt, sucked revenue from his other casinos, pulling them along into the red.

3. He paid no federal income taxes for eight of the 10 years

Business owners like Mr. Trump may also use their losses to avoid paying taxes on future income. Over the years, those losses rolled into a $915.7 million free pass, known as a net operating loss, that appeared on his 1995 tax returns, pages of which were mailed anonymously to The Times during the 2016 campaign.

The new tax information shows how Mr. Trump’s net operating losses snowballed, reaching $418 million in 1991. That was fully 1 percent of all the losses that the I.R.S. reported had been declared by individual taxpayers that year.

4. He made millions posing as a corporate raider — until investors realized he never followed through

For a time, Mr. Trump was able to stave off his coming collapse with the help of a new public role: He traded on his business-titan brand to present himself as a corporate raider. He would acquire shares in a company with borrowed money, suggest publicly that he was contemplating a takeover, then quietly sell on the resulting bump in the stock price. An occasional quote from a high-profile associate helped burnish the myth.

5. His interest income spiked in 1989 at $52.9 million, but the source is a mystery

Amid the hundreds of figures on 10 years of tax transcripts, one number is particularly striking: $52.9 million in interest income that Mr. Trump reported in 1989.

In the three previous years, Mr. Trump had reported $460,566, then $5.5 million, then $11.8 million in interest.

The source of that outlier $52.9 million is something of a mystery.

Of course this leak to the New York Tines is just fodder for the Dems and the media.

The average nitwit liberal is completely clueless to how businesses are run, how real estate is leveraged or how loans work.

President Trump filed bankruptcy a few times which is actually normal for someone who has owned as many business and taken as many risks as he has over the decades.

Trump has successfully navigated through many real estate crashes and downturns in the market, but the liberals will use anything to attack him.

‘Forgotten Man’ Comeback Story: Under Trump, Red Counties Economically Thrive

Red counties that voted for GOP President Donald Trump are booming more economically under his presidency than blue counties that voted for his Democrat opponent, former Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton, a new report from the liberal Brookings Institution shows.

Brookings’ Mark Muro and Jason Whiton wrote on Tuesday:

As the 2020 conversations ramp up, the “red and blue” economic growth patterns in the U.S. continue to be an enormous focal point. Now, as new data comes out on the years 2017 to 2018 and the president crows, it’s clear that counties that voted for President Trump have been ‘winning’ a little—or at least winning a little more than they were. Specifically, the geography of growth has changed somewhat—at least for the moment: Counties that voted for Donald Trump are seeing a bit faster employment growth than they were in the Obama years and are now adding jobs a little faster than are counties that voted for Hillary Clinton.

These red counties that voted for Trump over Clinton delivered him 306 electoral votes and victories in 30 and a half states, while Clinton won the popular vote but failed to win even 20 states, finishing with just 19 and a half states plus the District of Columbia for just 227 electoral votes. The bet on Trump seems to be paying off, as under the Trump administration these counties are outpacing the blue Clinton counties in growth trajectory.

Muro and Whiton wrote:

From 2010 to 2017, counties that voted for Clinton added jobs at a rate of 1.7 percent annually, compared to the 1.5 percent growth rate in Trump-voting areas. But in 2017 and 2018, the pattern looks different. From January 2017 to September 2018, both Clinton and Trump counties saw an uptick in job creation. However, the increase was significantly larger in Trump counties where the annualized rate of growth increased from 1.5 percent to 2.6 percent a year.

In other words, Muro and Whiton wrote, since the election in 2016, the counties that voted for Trump have seen significant turnaround–even though the counties that voted for Clinton are still in total outperforming the Trump counties despite the rapid rate turnaround in the Trump counties over the past couple years.

Muro and Whiton wrote:

Given that, the locus of growth really is a little different than it was in the lead-up to the 2016 election. As before, the 490 counties that voted for Clinton continue to massively predominate in the sheer volume and productivity of their economic activity. Together they accounted for two-thirds of the nation’s employment growth and three-quarters of its GDP growth. But during the first 21 months of the Trump administration, as people and jobs once again begin to spread out and sprawl, job growth rates in the 2,622 Trump-voting counties have gone from lagging behind those in Clinton counties to outpacing them. Redder, smaller, more exurban, and rural counties really are ‘winning’ a little more—at least for now.

Muro and Whiton later in their piece note that while Trump may engage in “excessive crowing” to brag about these Trump county successes, they argue his policies had not much to do with the middle America comeback.

“What’s going on here?” they wrote. “It’s pretty clear that the modest, probably temporary, gains of red counties likely have little to do with Trump-era policies and much to do with familiar cyclical and sectoral economic patterns.”

While they claim that the heartland’s comeback does not have to do with Trump’s policies, Trump would argue differently–and has.

“Maybe the economy,” Trump replied when Breitbart News asked him in a recent Oval Office interview what his biggest accomplishment was in his view. “Look at jobs. Best jobs record in 60 years. Best individual records for Asians, for African-Americans, for Hispanics ever. I think the economy—but I think a lot of things. Regulations—I think regulations led to the economy, the tax cuts. Even in the tax cuts we got ANWR. Nobody for 50 years could get it and I got it approved—you know, the biggest drilling site. So we’ve done a good job—so in theory it’s easier because I can say, ‘look what I’ve done’ as opposed to the first time where I said, ‘I can do this.’”

When even the Brookings Institution–a left-of-center liberal think tank–is admitting that the economic data support a middle America comeback under Trump, that is remarkable–even though the group will not give Trump credit for it. But, generally speaking, the data that the Brookings Institution report show an intense focus on that “forgotten man” that Trump talked about at his inauguration and that he has been focused on throughout his presidency.

David went on to says this was the greatest threat we face — the biggest blacklist in US history.

Of course, the glitches and mistakes only affect one side of the aisle.
It’s too bad the Republican party does not give a damn about its voters.

WALSH: A Democratic State Rep Has Been Bullying Pro-Lifers In Philadelphia. Now Hundreds Of Us Are Coming.

Pennsylvania Democratic State Representative Brian Sims describes himself in his Twitter bio as an LGBTQ activist, RuPaul’s Drag Race fanatic, and Little Mermaid enthusiast. He should add “harasser of children and elderly women” to that resume.

Sims thinks pro-lifers are “scum,” and he certainly treats them like it. In recent weeks, the elected official has gotten into the habit of stalking around his local Planned Parenthood clinic, looking for peaceful pro-life activists to deride and intimidate. Here he is berating an elderly woman on camera for several minutes. Here he is accosting a group of teenagers and offering 100 dollars to anyone who can identify them. He then demands that another kid provide his “name and address.” To summarize, Brian Sims is a coward and a bully. Now he’s going to be taught a lesson.

Last night, I suggested on Twitter that we organize a massive rally at that very same Planned Parenthood in Philadelphia. I thought it would be good to show Sims and everyone else that we are not going to sit back submissively while pro-lifers are abused for speaking out in defense of the unborn. Happily, this rally is now becoming a reality. Minutes after I sent that tweet, a number of pro-life groups reached out to help organize. Several prominent conservative voices expressed their desire to be a part of the effort. Hundreds of people said they would like to attend.

So, at 11 AM this Friday, I will be at that clinic on 1144 Locust St in Philadelphia alongside Abby Johnson, Lila Rose, Graham Allen, and many others. If Sims wants to show up with his camera again, any one of us would be more than happy to engage with him. I know he prefers to target elderly women and teenage girls, but now he’ll have the opportunity to pick on someone his own size. The lesson here is simple: If you try to intimidate us into silence, we will only get louder. Bullying tactics will achieve the exact opposite of what you intended. That’s the takeaway.

It should be noted that Brian Sims is the catalyst of the upcoming demonstration, and part of the point is to respond peacefully yet forcefully to his bullying. But it also should be noted that the fundamental and underlying purpose is to stand for life. Unborn children suffer far worse abuses than any abuses that a pro-life activist or demonstrator might experience. Our plight is nothing compared to theirs. The most we have to fear is the angry, red-faced, spittle-flecked rantings of pro-abortion fanatics. On the other hand, the unborn are poisoned, stabbed, and torn apart in massive numbers every year. We are rallying to their aid, first and foremost.

But we have Mr. Sims to thank for getting this particular ball rolling. And I am glad that we are doing more just than tweeting angrily for a change. The internet can be a fine tool — it’s what allowed us to organize this event in the span of a few hours — but it’s high time that we emerge from behind the screens and actually engage in three dimensions. Too often, the few who venture to the frontlines of these cultural battles are left to suffer the consequences alone. We are happy to tweet our support for them, and to shake our heads mournfully at the abuses heaped on them, but we remain off on the periphery, out of sight. At least for one day, on Friday, that will change. Hopefully it becomes a trend.

Trump administration forces China to sell the Port of Long Beach

The Trump Administration’s Department of Homeland Security has forced China’s state-owned Costco to sell the Port of Long Beach over security concerns.

China’s Costco Shipping Holdings, which bought out its 75 percent-owned Hong Kong-based Orient Overseas International (OOCL), was forced to sell its Port of Long Beach Container Terminal ownership to Macquarie Infrastructure Partners for $1.78 billion.

The Obama administration had no problems with OOCL signing a 40-year lease with the City of Long Beach in 2012 for control of America’s second largest and most automated container handling operation. The sweetheart deal was part of the “Middle Harbor Redevelopment Program” to fund a $1.5 billion expansion through 2020.

But one of the first major actions of the Trump administration’s Department of Homeland Security in March 2017 was issuing a ‘Committee on Foreign Investment in the U.S.’ national-security hold on Costco’s acquisition of a former U.S. Navy port facility.

China operates six of the world’s 10 busiest container ports. The Chinese government has also funded the construction and operations of 43 ports in 35 countries under its ‘One Belt and One Road’ (OBOR) initiative launched five years ago, according to China’s Ministry of Transport.

As part of its efforts to gain asset dominance, China has directed its’ state-owned companies to exclusively buy products and services from other Chinese state-owned enterprises. As a result, China International Marine Containers Group has become the world’s largest maker of shipping containers and Shanghai Zhenhua Heavy Industries has gained a 70 percent international market share for port cranes, and now exports to 300 ports in 100 countries.

Under the Macquarie acquisition terms, Orient Overseas International will pocket a $1.29 billion profit and still control vessel and rail traffic at the container facilities for the next twenty years.

Nolte: Embattled CNN Axes More Than 100 Jobs

Far-left CNN announced Monday that more than 100 jobs have been axed at the ratings-challenged cable network.

These job cuts are being spun by Brian Stelter, CNN’s left-wing media reporter (who regularly spreads fake news and conspiracy theories), as “no layoffs” but rather “voluntary buyouts throughout the organization, and about 100 people opted for it.”

The only problem with that spin is that buyouts are layoffs with some compensation attached. In other words, “voluntary buyout” is corporatespeak for “layoff.” Generally, if “buyouts” aren’t accepted by enough employees, layoffs follow. For all we know, CNN could have offered these 100-plus employees $1 just to call it a buyout.

If CNN refuses to tell the truth about its own layoffs, about something so obvious, you can only imagine the lies CNN is willing to tell about things that actually matter.

In worse news, Deadline reports [emphasis added] that “more than 100 seasoned workers at the cable news network” lost their jobs — meaning veterans, old hands, those who have been around a while.

Deadline also makes clear that these “buyouts” are layoffs because CNN’s new parent company AT&T is looking to restructure and reduce debt.

Deadline adds [emphasis added], “The buyouts are consistent with similar offerings at HBO and Turner and will see dozens of seasoned employees leave the news brand.” So…

It is only “dozens” at other divisions, but CNN got hit with “more than 100.”

Also of interest is the news that some of CNN’s broadcast operations have moved to Hudson Yards in Manhattan.

Here’s a Google Map of that location, which once again proves CNN does not believe in Global Warming.

If CNN truly believed sea levels are about to rise, why move right on the water?

This is just more bad news for a cable channel that lost 25 percent of what had already been a minuscule audience after the Mueller Report debunked the Russia Collusion Hoax, which dominated the basement-rated channel’s programming for two years.

In fact, ever since CNN chief Jeff Zucker took over, the last-place channel has gotten every major story of the last five-plus years completely wrong:

Throughout the country, due to its bias and fake news, the one-time Most Trusted Name In News is now widely seen as a joke, a national punchline, shorthand for everything that’s gone wrong with the establishment media.

On top of its biases, partisan delusions, big and small lies, and bizarre moments (e.g. wondering aloud if a passenger plane was swallowed by a black hole), CNN also has a dangerous edge.

CNN  launches almost daily hate campaigns against its political enemies on the right — most especially Trump, his supporters, and gun owners (including rape victims) — and openly encourages and embraces political violence and conspiracy theories to achieve its left-wing goals.

Throughout last month, CNN averaged only 767,000 prime time viewers, less than a third of the 2.4 million who tuned into Fox News.

Nevertheless, even though fewer than one million people watch the fake news network, the cable TV game is rigged so that 90 million subsidize CNN.

Code Pink Leftists Take Over Venezuelan Embassy In Washington, D.C., Taunt Actual Venezuelans

A group of around 50 leftists, organized by the far-left, pro-Communist organization, Code Pink, has taken up residence in the Venezuelan embassy in Washington, D.C., in order to “prevent” the new Venezuelan government from taking over from Nicolas Maduro’s team of diplomats, who vacated the embassy last month.

Towards the end of last week and over the weekend, Venezuelans who support opposition leader Juan Guaido, also began protesting around the embassy in an effort to educate the mostly white, uniformly American demonstrators inside on the realities of Maduro’s dictatorship.

The Code Pink protesters were, reportedly, not amused.

The dueling protests have clashed, sometimes violently, since Thursday of last week, when the pro-opposition protesters joined together to form a human chain around the Venezuelan embassy, preventing new Code Pink and pro-Communist occupiers from entering the building, and blocking deliveries of food. Fox News reports that the Code Pink-ers retaliated by playing pro-Communist anthems, screaming taunts into bullhorns, and sitting down in front of the Venezuelans.

The Code Pink group, led by longtime leftist stalwart Medea Benjamin, says they have no plans to leave until the embassy has returned to Maduro’s hands, and that they have permission from the Maduro government to remain inside. Officials tied to the Maduro government have even provided them keycards and security codes for the building.

“We feel that the elected government and the government that holds power and the government that’s recognized by the United Nations is the Maduro government, and they deserve to have their embassy here,” Benjamin told Fox News in an interview late last week. “That’s why we’ve been here.”

Photos of Benjamin’s cohorts show a mostly non-Venezuelan crew, and the Venezuelan protesters have noticed, often referring to the Code Pink protesters as “occupiers,” according to one reporter from Vox who spent the day at the protest last week.

“We’re doing our part from wherever we are around the world to bring light into the Venezuelan plight. And there’s invaders in our embassy that are not Venezuelans,” one pro-Venezuelan protester even told CNN. “This is the Venezuelan people for Venezuelan democracy; this is not about right or left in the world. I hope and I beg that people don’t use my country and the suffering of my people for their own personal flags that have nothing to do with what’s going on.”

Occasionally, Benjamin and others, including Code Pink co-president Ariel Gold, will try to “educate” the Venezuelan ex-pats — an effort that often results in embarrassing confrontations like the one captured by Vox Media, in which an elderly, white, American protester attempts to explain Venezuela to a Venezuelan.

Other pro-Communist protesters have tried doing public relations for Maduro. Kevin Zeese, the 63-year-old career leftist in charge of the pro-Maduro group, Popular Resistance,” explained to Vox’s reporter (while clad in a Hugo Chavez tee shirt that read, “Chauvistas”) that Maduro is not a dictator and that he had friend who had visited the country and found only limited poverty.

Over the weekend, pro-Venezuelan protesters tried fighting back against the taunts by reading aloud a list of people killed by Maduro’s regime.

The State Department called Benjamin’s crew, “trespassers,” but admitted that they can’t remove the group by force since the embassy is technically Venezuelan territory. Even the Secret Service, which is guarding the embassy and trying to diffuse tension between the two groups of protesters, can’t go inside.

N.J. Governor’s Budget to Divert $33 Million From Fallen Firefighters

New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy is coming under fire for his 2020 proposed budget which diverts $33 million from a fund which helps fallen firefighters to the state’s general fund to use for anything he deems suitable.

Critics of the governor’s plan are calling it "horrendous" that he would divert the millions from the fund which pays for burials and also offers financial help to firefighters killed, NJ Advance Media reports.

Murphy’s 2020 state budget calls for transferring the money from the NJ State Fireman’s Association into the state’s general fund where it can be used for any purpose.

Ed Donnelly, president of the NJ Firefighters Mutual Benevolent Association, the firefighter’s union, told the Washington Free Beacon it was "disheartening to have a reporter approach me instead of my friends in Trenton."

"That fund is for the indigent and needy firefighters. We will do everything in our power to stop this," Donnelly said. "We’re working through it to stop it. Since the late 1800s, we’ve been good stewards of this money and we shouldn’t be penalized."

Others are criticizing the governor for filling his budget gap with funds slated for fallen heroes.

Local radio host Bill Spadea on Monday urged residents to call the governor’s office to tell him "hands off the relief fund."

"It’s one thing to make tough decisions to cut a budget, something we clearly need more of in New Jersey given out-of-control debt and annual deficits. It’s another to target a relief fund intended to support the families of firefighters who lost their lives protecting our communities. That’s exactly what Governor Phil Murphy is doing by raiding the relief fund for firefighters and using the money to plug unrelated budget holes," Spadea wrote.

Spadea is urging residents to pack the West Trenton Fire House on Monday night where Murphy is holding a Town Hall meeting to ask him why he is planning to divert millions "dedicated to fallen heroes and struggling families."

A volunteer fireman said Murphy’s decision is short-sighted.

"It’s disappointing, I don’t think it’s very well thought-out," said Anthony Falconeri, a volunteer fireman who is also a secretary for the Bernardsville Fire Relief Association which distributes funds from the NJ State Fireman’s Association.

"Whether it’s a volunteer or paid position, these people are putting their lives on the line and some of them need financial assistance for a variety of situations," Falconeri said. "In my 15 years involved, I never heard of a governor wanting to take from the fund."

"We are continuing talks with the governor’s office," said Donnelly. "We hope this is rectified," he said, adding he is "hopeful they will look elsewhere to fill the budget gaps."

When asked if this was a slap in the face as the FMBA endorsed Murphy, Donnelly responded, "if it goes through it will be."
