Breaking: KJU Drops “Declaration of War” Statement after Trump’s Speech to UN

In a rare statement on camera after President Donald Trump’s Tuesday speech at the United Nations, North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un said Thursday that Trump’s remarks constituted a “declaration of war” and promised the “highest level of hard line counter measure in history” in response.

In a rather ironic statement, given the fact that he was threatening war over words, Kim also called Trump “mentally deranged.”

“His remarks remind me of such words as ‘political layman’ and ‘political heretic’ which were in vogue in reference to Trump during his presidential election campaign,” Kim said, according to the Guardian. Trump, Kim said, should “be considerate of whom he speaks.”

“Now that Trump has denied the existence of and insulted me and my country in front of the eyes of the world and made the most ferocious declaration of a war in history that he would destroy the DPRK, we will consider with seriousness exercising of a corresponding highest level of hard line counter measure in history.”

“His remarks … have convinced me, rather than frightening or stopping me, that the path I chose is correct and that it is the one I have to follow to the last,” Kim said..

“As a man representing the DPRK and on behalf of the dignity and honor of my state and people and on my own, I will make the man holding the prerogative of the supreme command in the U.S. pay dearly for his speech,” Kim said, referring to the North by its official name, the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea.”

He saved the best for last, assuming you find Kim’s attempts at being tough funny: “I will surely and definitely tame the mentally deranged U.S. dotard with fire.” Righty-o, big guy.

Kim’s remarks came just days after Trump issued a powerful challenge to the world in his speech before the United Nations General Assembly in New York City.

“The United States has great strength and patience, but if it is forced to defend itself or its allies, we will have no choice but to totally destroy North Korea,” Trump said. “Rocket Man is on a suicide mission for himself and for his regime. The United States is ready, willing and able, but hopefully this will not be necessary. That’s what the United Nations is all about; that’s what the United Nations is for. Let’s see how they do.”

Well, how the United Nations does is certainly going to be up for debate. However, Donald Trump did well enough to get Kim Jong Un to pitch a hissy fit on the world stage. In my book, that counts as pretty darn good.
