A common misconception is that the conflict between Palestine and Israel has been going on for thousands of years. However, a quick look at history will tell you the truth. The first historical mention of Israel outside of the Bible is from an Egyptian inscription from 1208 B.C.
That’s 3,225 years ago. In contrast, “Palestine” only officially became a nation in 1988. This means Michael Jackson’s “Thriller” album is older than the state of Palestine.
However untrue this misconception is, it doesn’t stop liberals from saying that Palestine’s rightful territory was ripped away by Americans and Israelis.
This anger seeps over into teaching material for children, with one of the newest iterations being “P Is for Palestine” by Golbarg Bashi, a self-professed “feminist professor of Iranian studies,” which is similar to being a vegan who wants to be an expert on steak.
Several of the entries are enough to make anger well up, but one in particular is an outright deadly lie:
From children’s book ‘P is for #Palestine’. #Incitement much? +1000 #Israeli’s were murdered in the last #intifada http://pic.twitter.com/ftIlX3gnGb

The Palestinian intifada was a guerrilla movement that sought to weaken Israeli control by attacks, protests, and destruction of Jewish-held property. The first and second intifadas were deadly affairs that left thousands dead — mostly Palestinians. Encouraging children to grow up and enact a third one is not something a responsible human being would do.
Nevertheless, the conflict in Israel has been a boon for liberals, giving them an outlet to express casual anti-Semitism under the guise of helping the poor and downtrodden Palestinians. This includes movies, shows, and now, even books for toddlers.
CNN cameras are not often seen when an Israeli cafe, full of normal people going about their day, is destroyed by Hamas rockets. You can be sure to see those cameras rolling when the Israeli Defense Force hunts down the attackers, catching every second of what the Palestinian-favoring mainstream media will later spin as “oppression.”
Hamas, a pro-Palestine terrorist organization, and others like them are often lauded as heroes by liberals in the West, and you can actually spot shirts with the crossed sword logo on mindless college students.
The reality of the situation is one that social justice warriors, American apologists, and Democrats simply refuse to accept. Israel has been under attack since its inception.
The Middle East is an Arab world. When Israel was returned as the Jewish homeland, it immediately sparked a war. Whether it was through divine intervention or something else, Israel emerged victorious when it should have fallen to enemies on all sides.
Radicals will use whatever grounds they can to attack what is right and good. Even the United Nations has been turned against Israel, often choosing the AK-47-wielding Arab terrorists over Jewish families trying to get by unharmed. America’s role in Israel security is usually seen on the floor of the U.N. We are almost always the only nation to make a stand for the tiny nation against the rest of the world.
This is the difference between doing what is easy and doing what is right.
