When unfunny comedian Chelsea Handler announced in October that she was leaving her unfunny show on Netflix, she said she wanted to “devote as much time as I can to becoming a more knowledgeable and engaged citizen and to focus on projects that have significance to me.”
Apparently, she’s decided that she can “participate in a more meaningful way” by shaming other women for their appearances and their weight.
Handler posted a video on Twitter that shows an actress pretending to be White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders giving tips on how to apply makeup. The four-minute video contains hilarious lines like this: “Right now my skin is dry, just like Puerto Rico before that one rainy day!”
“Put it on like gravy. My face is a big fat biscuit!” says the Sanders impersonator with a heavy southern drawl. And: “She’s only 35? I get it. I’ve got my dad’s old face. I’d be shocked as sh*t too….”
Viewers on Twitter didn’t find the stupid video funny.
To which Handler replied:
But many others ripped into Handler for being a “bully” and targeting a women’s appearance and weight.
And on and on they go (hit Twitter and read all the comments — so many of which we can’t publish on a family website).
Handler has targeted Sanders’ looks before, saying on her low-rated TV show: “That harlot that they are dressing up and trolloping out every day? I mean, one day she has no makeup on at all, the next she’s got like 6-foot long eyelashes, and she’s got cleavage, and summer whore lipstick all over her face. Can you believe what they’ve turned her into? A proper trollop.”
Ah, participating in the political process “in a more meaningful way.” Such a noble Hollywood cause.
