Finally, a dating site that guarantees you won’t have to struggle to find something to talk about on your first date.
ProGunDating.com is a new dating website created specifically for lovers … of guns, that it is.
Laura Clark, CEO of the site, says one of the reasons she started the service because of how she was treated by users of other dating sites.
“As someone who has used other popular online dating sites, I was constantly ridiculed about my profile picture, in which I was posing with my AR-15 at a local shooting range,” Clark said in a statement on the site’s Facebook page. “Instead of making excuses or being forced to hide what I believe in, I decided it was time that pro-gun people had their own dating site.”
Clark notes that finding a mate who shares a love of guns and the right to self defense almost certainly helps a relationship have a better chance of succeeding.
“Pro-gun Americans are passionate about the Second Amendment, and what it means to this country,” Clark said. “Being with someone who shares those beliefs is crucial for a relationship’s success, which is why we’ve launched a place for pro-gun, pro-NRA Americans to meet, chat and see where it takes them.”
She also notes the site is a great way to empower female gun owners.
If you are/were single, would you use this site?
“As a female gun-owner, I started this dating site to empower women,” Clark told
“I’m always packing, so I’ll never have to join the #MeToo movement. With a pro-gun dating community, there will be no issues for myself or the many like-minded women who join the site in the future.”
Naturally, there have been critics of Clark’s site, especially her unofficial tagline, “Don’t Date a Hogg, Date a Real American,” a reference to anti-gun advocate David Hogg. But there’s been tremendous support as well.
So far, “the response has been overwhelmingly positive,” Clark said, adding that more than 10,000 Second Amendment supporters have signed up on the site.

Last month, the dating app Bumble announced it would ban profile photos that included guns in response to the deadly shooting at a high school in Parkland, Florida.
Clark says the fact gun owners can be open about their belief in the Second Amendment means they no longer have to wonder if someone they’re interested in dating might feel the same way.
“Single gun-owners are loving the fact that they now have a place where they can meet others who stand with the Second Amendment,” Clark added.
In theory, the benefit to using any dating site is the potential time saved on dates with people who you eventually learn you’re not compatible with.
ProGunDating.com promises you’ll not only find someone who shares your love of guns, but you’ll likely learn their family does, as well.
“At the very least there won’t be any time wasted on meeting an anti-gun liberal who lives in grandma’s basement and protests climate change on the weekends,” according to a press release.
