Kavanaugh’s Accuser Has Even More Credibility Issues

Christine Blasey Ford has accused Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh of sexually assaulting her 36 years ago. There are tons of reasons to doubt her story: She doesn’t have any corroborating evidence, she waited until the eve of the confirmation vote to tell her story, her story is filled with inconsistencies, and she’s a registered democrat and liberal political activist. Believe or not there’s even more that puts her credibility in doubt, including that Kavanaugh’s mother was a judge that had foreclosed on Ford’s parent’s house.

Ford claims that in high school a drunk Brett Kavanaugh and his friend locked her in a room and held her down in an attempt to take her clothes off. Ford said she was worried Kavanaugh was going both rape and kill her. She said she was able to escape when the friend jumped on the bed and sent her tumbling out of the locked room into a bathroom. In her version of the story, she doesn’t know where this attempted assault took place, nor does she recall why she was there or how she got there. Also, for some reason she was wearing swimsuit under her clothes.

Her “evidence” for this is that she told her therapist about it 6 years ago and her husband backs her story up. She also took a polygraph that she says she passed. As Erick Erickson points out, there’s a ton of inconsistencies with all of this:

The lawyer claims Ford wanted anonymity. The Washington Post says she called a tip line.

It is worth nothing that Christine Ford’s first mention of Brett Kavanaugh came after the New York Times ran a story suggesting he could be on the Supreme Court if Mitt Romney were elected.

But beyond that, the story no longer adds up in real ways. Christine Ford’s lawyer claims Ms. Ford wanted anonymity and reached out to Dianne Feinstein privately. The Washington Post, however, reports that Ford first reached out to them via a tip line to tell her story.

Then, while still claiming to not want to come forward, Ford both lawyered up and got a polygraph.

She now claims she knew she would have to come forward because the media was working on stories and would expose her, but that comes full circle to her calling a tip line and outing herself.

Plus there’s this:

Likewise, we have the fact that her therapist described four assailants and Ford now claims that was an error on the therapists part. Though her therapist has detailed notes, she never writes down Kavanaugh’s name. We just have Ford’s husband claiming Ford named Kavanaugh at the time, but it was apparently not a detail significant enough for the therapist to record.

As if that weren’t enough, check this out from Town Hall columnist Kurt Schlichter:

Holy shit? Really? As if everything already wasn’t adding up, it looks like Ford picked Kavanaugh as her imaginary assailant because his mom foreclosed on her parents house. This is obviously an ideological fairy tale cooked up by a liberal activist who has a personal beef with the Kavanaugh family.

Maybe if Ford’s parents had been a little more financially responsible, she wouldn’t be trying to destroy the reputation of a good man. Then again, she is a democrat and this exactly the shitty kind of things they do.
