The Braintree Police Department is pleading with criminals to “hold off until Monday” before committing crimes due to the extreme heat in Massachusetts over the weekend.
The department explained that “conducting criminal activity in this extreme heat is next level henchmen status.”
While the hilarious post was obviously in jest, it is expected to reach 111 degrees in Braintree this weekend.
“Folks. Due to the extreme heat, we are asking anyone thinking of doing criminal activity to hold off until Monday. It is straight up hot as soccer balls out there. Conducting criminal activity, in this extreme heat is next level henchmen status, and also very dangerous,” the post began. “Stay home, blast the AC, binge Stranger Things season 3, play with the face app, practice karate in your basement We will all meet again on Monday when it’s cooler.”
The post was signed “the PoPo” and asked readers to refrain from posting Stranger Things season three spoilers.
Within two days the post had already been shared over 127,000 times.
