The Democratic National Committee raised $5.7 million last month, its lowest fundraising numbers for the month of November since 2007.
The DNC has raised at least $5.9 million since 2008, but could not meet that mark this year, the Washington Examiner reported Thursday, citing Federal Election Commission data.
The last time the national Democratic Party raised so little money in November was in 2007, when the organization brought in $4.4 million.
Despite being the party out of power, which can lead to improved fundraising and enthusiasm among supporters, the DNC had a poor year of fundraising in 2017. The national Democratic Party has brought in $60.7 million since Jan. 1, while it has $6.3 million cash on hand and $2.6 million in debt.
DNC chairman Tom Perez has received criticism for the low fundraising numbers during his tenure, though he has defended his record.
While the DNC had a poor fundraising performance in November, the Republican National Committee posted a record high for the month, hauling in $8.2 million.
