Years ago, my late father reacted to the shooting by a Cuban MiG of 4 Cuban-Americans on international waters, or the sad “Brothers to the rescue” episode.   He said something along the lines that communists shoot to kill.

Yesterday, we saw an armoured vehicle attack a Venezuelan crowd in a manner reminiscent of a terrorist attack in Barcelona or Nice or New York.

My guess is that we will see a more “shooting to kill” because Maduro has the Cubans and apparently Russians defending him, as we see in this report:    

Two Russian military planes landed in Venezuela on March 24, carrying about 100 military personnel and 35 tons of their equipment, Russian officials said. U.S. National Security Advisor John Bolton responded in a March 29 statement that this was a provocation, and a “direct threat to international peace and security in the region.”

Honestly, I don’t take the Russians too seriously here.  Why not?  Because Russia is not going to war with the U.S. over Venezuela.  My guess is that Putin just wants to be around when the dust settles.

The Cubans are a different situation.   I’ve heard from Venezuelans that Cubans are everywhere, from patrols on motorcyles to protecting Maduro.  It’s clear to me that the Cubans will be the ones that U.S. Special Forces will be fighting with if an intervention comes.  

President Trump must be aware of this because he is warning Cuba.   His first warning was to implement a total embargo with highest level sanctions.

What happens next?   I don’t know, but let’s remember that communists shoot to kill and they will do a lot of shooting to kill to protect Maduro.

In the wake of the shooting at the San Diego-area synagogue in California on Saturday, April 27 that left one worshiper dead and two wounded, and the ongoing outcry against an Anti-Semitic cartoon published in the New York Times, we are reminded that anti-Semitism exists on all sides of the political spectrum, and can yield deadly results.

While these acts of anti-Semitism are rightfully publicly decried, and the organizations that traffic in them condemned, much of the growing tide of anti-Semitism in the West has a basis in Islamist anti-Semitism, promoted by hate preachers utilizing the West’s famous tolerance to promote vile conspiracy theories against the Jews.

All too often, however, the organizations that permit this form of anti-Semitism are protected from criticism by cries of “Islamophobia” and the organizations that support them are treated as important community organizations.

Take, for example, Sheikh Omar Baloch, the Resident Scholar of the Bolingbrook Illinois-based Al-Furqaan Foundation, a group which performs “Dawah”, or proselytizing, by distributing Qurans across the United States. 

Baloch’s YouTube Channel consists of a series of videos warning the world, in general, and Muslims in particular against the threat of the Zionist movement that, according to his YouTube videos, wreaks havoc in the world in order to achieve its goals. Titles include “Illuminati, Zionism & the Third Temple”, “9/11 TO Sri Lanka Zionist Link- Hoax After Hoax, Muslims Cry Wolf (Shocking Truth!)” and “Sri Lanka Deadly Attack and New World Order”.

In his most recent YouTube video, Baloch, as if reading from the Protocols of the Elders of Zion, emphasized that Zionists “have done everything against anything that has been religious. This is their modus operandi,” adding, “the Zionist Movement itself used secular people, [and] used religious people to their ungodly Satanic ends.”

The sheikh introduces the specific topic of his video by emphasizing strongly that Zionists “want to bring down a sacred place; Al Masjid Al Aqsa (…) [in order] to build the [Jewish] Temple. Also, because under the Temple there are a lot of artefacts (…) Probably, it has to do with magic, but I am not going to go into that today.”

In the video, Baloch goes on to suggest that Zionists perpetrated the terrorist attacks in Washington and New York on September 2001, the Mossad created the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS), that Zionists carried out the horrific massacre at the Christchurch mosques in New Zealand and the suicide bombings in Sri Lanka, on Easter Sunday, in order to create conflict in the world and give Islam a bad name.

Baloch is not a foreign-born imam raised on the historical anti-Semitism prevalent in the Middle East. He was born in Chicago and studied at Georgetown University. His bio also lists him as attending in addition Al-Azhar University in Egypt and the Jamia Thul Ahlul Hadith in Pakistan.

Al-Furqaan Foundation’s Facebook page notes that Baloch “is responsible for all activities and material relating to communicating the Message of the Qur’an to Muslims and non-Muslims.”

Al-Furqaan Foundation oversees a number of linked organizations including Al Furqaan Institute of Quranic Education (FIQE), where Baloch is an instructor and which emphasizes providing Islamic education to prison inmates, as well as the Al Furqaan Academy, an Islamic school teaching young Muslims with branches in Chicago and Dallas.

Al Furqaan Foundation is also a leading member of the Council of Islamic Organizations of Greater Chicago (CIOGC) a coalition that claims to be “the leading advocate of Muslim community interests and a catalyst for enriching American society.” Through CIOGC and with the help of Bolingbrook Mayor Roger Claar, Al Furqaan Academy received the ability to utilize public school buses for its students in 2016.

CIOGC held its annual Muslim Advocacy day in Springfield earlier this month, meeting with Governor JB Pritzker and state legislators.

Al Furqaan Foundation and CIOGC should be required to condemn Omar Baloch’s anti-Semitic conspiracy theories and remove him from his position. 

Of course, Baloch is not an isolated case, anti-Semitism has spread through the Islamic world like a cancer. A survey of attitudes toward Jews in more than 100 countries found that anti-Semitism was twice as common among Muslims as among Christians.

It requires an honest assessment of the problem, a candid conversation, and hard work to isolate and discredit Islamist demagogues, and to encourage moderate leaders. Only then can we help build a healthy American community free of the scourge of anti-Semitism. We can’t do that if we allow apologists to treat Islamist anti-Semites differently.

Mary and I met with several black relatives for dinner at a restaurant in Baltimore. The jovial conversation drifted to politics. I was stunned that they know nothing about several important political issues. Because they only watch mainstream media, my relatives are either misinformed or uninformed.

For example,, my relatives have never heard of Sharia Law. When I explained the tyranny of Sharia and how leftists are promoting it in America, my relatives were shocked. Overwhelmed, a relative said, “I’ve heard enough. Can we change the subject?”

The second thing that disturbed me was my relatives’ intense fear of pushing back against LGBTQ indoctrination that is impacting their lives. As I said, these are not political people. And yet, they know they had better not get caught opposing LGBTQ activists forcefully infiltrating every aspect of our lives; from public education to entertainment to Sunday morning worship.

A relative said that her two granddaughters told her about a picture posted on the internet by their cousin. Their cousin is a girl who posted a picture of her kissing her girlfriend. All these kids are in elementary school. Disturbed, my relative asked her son, her granddaughters’ father, about the picture. He begged his mom not to say anything about the picture. He feared that disapproving of their cousin kissing her girlfriend could lead to him being deemed an unfit parent and losing custody of his daughters.

Another relative said his two little granddaughters were painting their fingernails. Having a little fun, he bent his hand femininely and said, “Paint my nails too.” The little girls immediately turned stone-faced. They said, “That’s not funny Pop-pop. It’s not right to make fun of them like that.” My relative was taken aback by how upset his granddaughters were with him. He did not know that kids are taught beginning in pre-k that homosexuality is superior to heterosexuality.

Another relative chimed in about a visit at his adult daughter’s home. His granddaughter looked beautiful in her gown for a formal high school event. He was shocked when her date arrived. It was a girl wearing a tuxedo. He thought this was terrible but hid his feelings, fearful of offending his daughter and granddaughter. He knew they would think he was an old-fashioned, out-of-date hater if he showed any sign of disapproval.

Folks, LGBTQ activists’ domination of our culture has come a long way from the days when they claimed they only wanted tolerance. Today, they demand that we bend a knee in total submission and approval of their lifestyle in education, entertainment media, and even Christian churches. LGBTQ activists are aggressively seeking to ban the Bible, declaring it bigoted hate speech. LGBTQ activists seek to make it illegal to counsel those who wish to transition from LGBTQ lifestyles.

Leftists are thrilled about Corpus Christi, which is a blasphemous movie in which Jesus and his disciples are portrayed as homosexuals. And yet, leftists are demanding that public schools forbid students from drawing pictures of Mohammad because Sharia law says to do so is blasphemy.

My late dad, Dr. Rev. Lloyd E. Marcus, said that homosexuals were coming out of the closet and forcing us who believe the Bible into the closet. Truer words were never spoken.

Years ago, I wrote an article about how LGBTQ activists were aggressively seeking to infiltrate and take down Christian institutions like the Boy Scouts of America. Tragically, LGBTQ activists have transformed the Boy Scouts away from its Christian founding, principles, and values. Everything I stated in that article was 100% true. Shockingly, Christians, conservatives and Republicans who usually agree with me backed away from me. My article was branded “mean-spirited” and “anti-Christian”.

At that time, I was chairman of a PAC which helped to elect conservative candidates. LGBTQ activists attacked our candidate, demanding that they disassociate from this “hater,” Lloyd Marcus. My employer warned that if the bad press intensified, he would be forced to request my resignation. This was my first time personally experiencing the wrath and punishment of LGBTQ activists, simply because I warned people about their mission to bully us into submission.

The surprising intensity of the LGBTQ attacks, reporters chasing me down and sticking microphones in my face, scared me. I could not give a rat’s derriere about what leftists think of me. I had to fight off feelings of guilt as I witnessed LGBTQ enforcers attacking everyone associated with me.

My wife Mary and I prayed about the situation. My wife is awesome. Mary said, “You must spread truth without fear of man.” Life has taught us that while my paycheck came from my employer, God is the true source of our financial security. The heated attacks over my LGBTQ/Boy Scouts article faded away. I was not fired.

However, another of my controversial articles sparked tension between my employer and me. Mary and I concluded that I must be free to write as I am led by God. I resigned from my position as chairman of the PAC.

For years, leftists have accused me of being a black “Uncle Tom sellout,” highly paid by the Republican Party. This is not true. Quitting my position as chairman of a PAC was a serious financial decision; an act of faith. God is faithful and has sustained us. Praise God!

I left our family gathering at the restaurant feeling a bit disturbed that my relatives were so politically clueless and so fearful of attempting to stop LGBTQ activists from forcing their anti-Christian agenda down the throats of our children. Still, I am determined to continue spreading the truth and standing up for what is right. God is the source of my strength.

On a positive note, my wife Mary is a crab-cake snob. The crab-cakes at Romano’s restaurant were excellent.

Among Shakespeare scholars, there is a unity of opinion on who of all his characters is the most venal: Iago, Othello’s nemesis.  Iago is hatred and jealousy personified; he represents evil and cruelty for its own sake and he is unrepentant about the misery his manipulations cause others.   

Sound familiar?  Iago’s vile personality traits are strikingly similar to the Democrats in Congress, at least those on the Judiciary Committee.  The Kavanaugh hearings were just the opening act of their performance theater that erupted out of their shock and outrage over Trump’s victory.  Their attempted abuse of William Barr on Wednesday was Act II.

The usual suspects made complete and utter fools of themselves:  Mazie Hirono, Sheldon Whitehouse, Kamala Harris, Richard “DaNang” Blumenthal, Chris Coons, Amy Klobuchar, Dianne Feinstein, Cory “Spartacus” Booker, Dick Durbin and Patrick Leahy.  They are a congregation of Iagos, artists of evil; they relish their perceived roles as powerful enough to destroy the lives of persons they loathe, with or without reason.  

Unlike Iago, however, who was actually quite clever in executing his evil schemes, this bunch of slanderers are none too bright.  They are all too dim to realize that AG Barr is the smartest guy in the room.

Harold Bloom wrote of Iago that “He does it [evil] with a sense of craftsmanship… he appreciates the elegance of his scheme as much as the final result: incredible suffering for the people he has chosen [to destroy].”  Our Trump-hating Democrats on the Senate Judiciary Committee bared their rotten teeth at Kavanaugh and lost in the end.  Their badgering of AG Barr was both contemptible and cringeworthy.  Unable to accept the result of the Mueller Report, they have forgotten the First Rule of Holes:  Stop digging.  They will lose this fruitless battle as well.

The curious thing about Shakespeare’s Iago is that we never learn the specific motivations of his plan to destroy Othello.  He comes up with at least two possible reasons – being passed over for promotion by Othello or Othello’s suspected affair with his wife.  But in the end, we must conclude that he is just plain evil.  Samuel Coleridge explains Iago’s behavior as “motiveless malignity.”

Our vicious Democrats have made their motive abundantly clear — they cannot abide Donald Trump as President, no matter how successful he is at the job.  The more successful he is, the more they hate him.  So, on the question of motive, they are more transparent than Iago. They are less clever and infinitely more immature.  

Like toddlers who may howl when they don’t get what they want, this bunch has been screaming like banshees since the night Trump won the election.  Their childish intransigence is an embarrassment to our two legislative bodies.  Given the obvious ineptitude of these Democrat members of the Senate, it is difficult to grasp how so many of them keep getting elected, especially the long-haulers like Blumenthal, Whitehouse, Feinstein, Durbin, Leahy and Hirono.  Each of them has proved their incompetence and disingenuousness over and over again.

It is clear to all Americans who have been paying attention to the “investigation” of the wholly fabricated “crime” of collusion with Russia by President Trump and/or members of his campaign, that this ongoing travesty is the most serious political crime against the nation in US history.  It was devised and carried out by higher-ups in the CIA, DOJ, FBI the Obama administration, the leftist media and of course, the Clintons.  

From the outset it was an exercise in pure evil. These persons set out to destroy many, many good and innocent people in order to undo the election.  Many of the witnesses they called lost everything they had to legal fees only to find they are not even mentioned in the Mueller Report.  This bunch of traitors conspired, schemed and colluded with one another to destroy a man sixty-three million voted for because they objected to his victory over the deeply corrupt Hillary Clinton.  This happened!  In America!  These criminals must be brought to justice.  

The Founders who drafted our Constitution valued honor, loyalty, reverence and fidelity.  These were to them the virtues of humanity.  To Iago these are commodities to be bought and sold.  He is a denier of all things spiritual.  He has no conscience, no ability to perform good deeds.  He feels no guilt.  He is driven by evil.

Similarly, our Democrats are driven by their lust for power and their desire to abrogate the Constitution.  They are our Iagos.  As the young socialists gain power in the party, the dinosaurs seem to just meekly follow suit.  They are ungrateful for all this country has to offer, least of all their own success, and are filled with a terrible resolve, to destroy the president who has accomplished more good in two years than any other in history.  

Albert Einstein wrote that “The world is a dangerous place to live; not because of the people who are evil, but because of the people who don’t do anything about it.”  Indeed.   Our cackle of Iagos must be defeated, the criminals among them brought to justice.

Among Shakespeare scholars, there is a unity of opinion on who of all his characters is the most venal: Iago, Othello’s nemesis.  Iago is hatred and jealousy personified; he represents evil and cruelty for its own sake and he is unrepentant about the misery his manipulations cause others.   

Sound familiar?  Iago’s vile personality traits are strikingly similar to the Democrats in Congress, at least those on the Judiciary Committee.  The Kavanaugh hearings were just the opening act of their performance theater that erupted out of their shock and outrage over Trump’s victory.  Their attempted abuse of William Barr on Wednesday was Act II.

The usual suspects made complete and utter fools of themselves:  Mazie Hirono, Sheldon Whitehouse, Kamala Harris, Richard “DaNang” Blumenthal, Chris Coons, Amy Klobuchar, Dianne Feinstein, Cory “Spartacus” Booker, Dick Durbin and Patrick Leahy.  They are a congregation of Iagos, artists of evil; they relish their perceived roles as powerful enough to destroy the lives of persons they loathe, with or without reason.  

Unlike Iago, however, who was actually quite clever in executing his evil schemes, this bunch of slanderers are none too bright.  They are all too dim to realize that AG Barr is the smartest guy in the room.

Harold Bloom wrote of Iago that “He does it [evil] with a sense of craftsmanship… he appreciates the elegance of his scheme as much as the final result: incredible suffering for the people he has chosen [to destroy].”  Our Trump-hating Democrats on the Senate Judiciary Committee bared their rotten teeth at Kavanaugh and lost in the end.  Their badgering of AG Barr was both contemptible and cringeworthy.  Unable to accept the result of the Mueller Report, they have forgotten the First Rule of Holes:  Stop digging.  They will lose this fruitless battle as well.

The curious thing about Shakespeare’s Iago is that we never learn the specific motivations of his plan to destroy Othello.  He comes up with at least two possible reasons – being passed over for promotion by Othello or Othello’s suspected affair with his wife.  But in the end, we must conclude that he is just plain evil.  Samuel Coleridge explains Iago’s behavior as “motiveless malignity.”

Our vicious Democrats have made their motive abundantly clear — they cannot abide Donald Trump as President, no matter how successful he is at the job.  The more successful he is, the more they hate him.  So, on the question of motive, they are more transparent than Iago. They are less clever and infinitely more immature.  

Like toddlers who may howl when they don’t get what they want, this bunch has been screaming like banshees since the night Trump won the election.  Their childish intransigence is an embarrassment to our two legislative bodies.  Given the obvious ineptitude of these Democrat members of the Senate, it is difficult to grasp how so many of them keep getting elected, especially the long-haulers like Blumenthal, Whitehouse, Feinstein, Durbin, Leahy and Hirono.  Each of them has proved their incompetence and disingenuousness over and over again.

It is clear to all Americans who have been paying attention to the “investigation” of the wholly fabricated “crime” of collusion with Russia by President Trump and/or members of his campaign, that this ongoing travesty is the most serious political crime against the nation in US history.  It was devised and carried out by higher-ups in the CIA, DOJ, FBI the Obama administration, the leftist media and of course, the Clintons.  

From the outset it was an exercise in pure evil. These persons set out to destroy many, many good and innocent people in order to undo the election.  Many of the witnesses they called lost everything they had to legal fees only to find they are not even mentioned in the Mueller Report.  This bunch of traitors conspired, schemed and colluded with one another to destroy a man sixty-three million voted for because they objected to his victory over the deeply corrupt Hillary Clinton.  This happened!  In America!  These criminals must be brought to justice.  

The Founders who drafted our Constitution valued honor, loyalty, reverence and fidelity.  These were to them the virtues of humanity.  To Iago these are commodities to be bought and sold.  He is a denier of all things spiritual.  He has no conscience, no ability to perform good deeds.  He feels no guilt.  He is driven by evil.

As the level of civility in politics plummets to levels not seen since before the Civil War, masks are dropping away and elected officials are revealing their inner thoughts and presumptions. Normally, abortion advocates are some of the greatest users and abusers of euphemism, starting with the word “choice” as a euphemism for killing a human being. But in a hearing at the Alabama State House of Representatives, Democrat Andrew Rogers apparently became frustrated during the course of a filibuster by his party, just before a pro-life bill (House Bill 314, that would make abortion a class A felony and attempted abortion a class C felony) passed. According to an account in The Blaze, Rogers “ 

…issued a truly disturbing statement while defending women’s right to abortion during a Democratic filibuster on the House floor, just before a pro-life bill overwhelmingly passed.”

I am guessing that this was an attempt at sarcasm, but the underlying assumption – that some lives are not worth living and may as well be terminated based on someone else’s judgment (political power-holders such as Rep. Rogers, for instance) is as horrifying as it gets.
