After nearly nine months in office, portraits of our president and vice president have yet to be hung in thousands of federal offices across the country.

A report from the The Washington Post Monday revealed official portraits of both President Donald Trump and Vice President Mike Pence haven’t been hung in several federal courthouses, military installations, ports of entry and a slew of other federal buildings.

Longstanding tradition asserts that the president and vice president’s portraits hang in the lobbies of federal buildings, serving as a sign of respect to our nation’s leaders.

While Trump and Pence haven’t yet taken official photographs for their portraits, it still raises many questions as to whether there are photos of former President Barack Obama and former Vice President Joe Biden still hanging in federal buildings.

“GPO is standing by to reproduce copies of the president and the vice president’s photos for official use in federal facilities and will do so as soon as the official photo files are provided to us,” said Gary Somerset, a spokesman for the Government Publishing Office.

“I do not have a timeline on when GPO will receive those files from the White House,” he said.

The White House said the administration will send the portraits to the GPO to make mass copies once the photos are finalized.

“All agencies who have requested the President’s portrait have received a photo to display. We’re still in the process of creating the official portrait. Once it’s been produced, the White House photo office will distribute it to all of the agencies and other requests,” Lindsay E Water, a White House spokesperson, said.

Further proving how self-important he believed himself to be, Obama released his official portrait just one week into his presidency. Former President Bill Clinton waited nearly one year to have his sent out to government buildings.

Several other high-ranking cabinet members have declined to hang their portraits, choosing the more respectful path and waiting for the president and vice president to have their photos sent out first.

Trump and Pence have been quite busy since they took over in January.

Aside from undoing a plethora of policy Obama signed into law, the president has remained focused on pushing big ticket items such as health care, tax reform, the border wall and immigration reform through DACA, not to mention dealing with an increasingly hostile North Korea.

On top of that incredibly difficult agenda, the Trump administration has also dealt with the aftermath of Hurricanes Harvey and Irma, which wreaked havoc across Texas and Florida.

It should make the American people proud this administration is more focused on passing important issues and improving the nation rather than taking pictures of themselves.

Kim Jong Un thinks that his weapons are safe deep within underground bunkers. However, what he may not realize is that there is more than one way to penetrate and destroy these bunkers.

“North Korea has said through state media that it has no choice but to advance its nuclear and missile development to defend ­itself from attack. It says its weapons program is impervious to sanctions and is already capable of hitting the US with a nuclear-tipped missile,” The Australian reported.

However, according to Popular Mechanics, there are currently nine ways that a fortress buried deep within the ground can be targeted and destroyed. Should it ever come to this, the United States military has ways to decommission Kim’s weapons while they sit in their hiding place.

“The Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) is a Pentagon organization tasked with combating weapons of mass destruction, including WMDs stored deep underground in concrete bunkers, tunnels, and mountains,” the outlet reported.

Without further ado, here are the ways in which we can discover and destroy Kim’s bunkers, as listed by Popular Mechanics.

Method Number One: GBU-57 MASSIVE ORDNANCE PENETRATOR
The “biggest and the best munition” the DTRA has currently is a 20 foot long bomb, weighing in at 14 tons. It is able to drive through more than 60-feet of concrete.

Method Number Two: GIANT SHAPED CHARGE
This is an explosive shaped charge which is able to “punch a hole” through solid rock, leading the way for a follow-up warhead to destroy a target buried deep within the ground. This one is super impressive; however, it is reportedly difficult to scale up to a large size. The largest known shaped charge weighs in at 700 pounds and was developed by Sandia National Laboratories back in 2003. That charge was able to drill through 20-feet of rock, creating a large enough tunnel for a follow-up missile.

Method Number Three: ISOMER BOMB
A hypothetical device in which a bomb is triggered by energy release from “a nuclear isomer of the element hafnium.” While it doesn’t pack the same punch as a nuclear bomb, it can potentially be thousands of times more powerful than dynamite. However, research into this type of bomb was halted due to officials being unsure about the validity of the science behind it.

Method Number Four: HARD TARGET MUNITION
These smaller and lightweight bunker busters weight about 2,000 pounds. They can be carried internally by an F-35 and then be “rocket-boosted to high velocity, possibly even supersonic speed.” While impressive, more tests need to be done in order to work on the rock lag that the hard target ammunition faces once shot into the ground.

Method Number Five: INFILTRATION DRONES
The Air Force has reportedly looked into “swarms of crawling drones” similar to the science-fiction ones found in the Tom Cruise film “Minority Report.” These drones would be able to sneak into air ducts or small entry points like sewage pipes to find and destroy the bombs. Research is still being done to make this possible; however, it seems that this may only work once if it is ever employed.

Method Number Six: EMP BLASTER
“If you can’t physically destroy a facility, just make it useless. Knocking out all the electronics and the power system with a powerful electromagnetic pulse will put it out of action,” the outlet reported, adding that the United States Army has recently worked to develop a Phaser weapon that would essentially be able to short-circuit all electronic devices with a beam of microwaves. The Air Force has a similar device known as the CHAMP which can be carried on a cruise missile.

Method Number Seven: SUPERCAVITATING PENETRATOR
This technology would allow a high-speed rocket to torpedo down towards the bunker. “The idea is that bombs can glide through earth and rock behind a cushion of gas,” Popular Mechanics explained.

Method Number Eight: DEEP DIGGER
The Deep Digger is a burrowing 2,000-pound bomb which is able to blast through 200-feet of solid rock with a “set of nose-mounted cannons.” Developed by the United States Army in 2007, the plan then was to have a swarm of deep diggers be detonated simultaneously to create an artificial earthquake, thereby collapsing the deepest bunkers.

Method Number Nine: ROBOTIC UNDERGROUND MUNITION 
This cousin of the Deep Digger is a robot that can be parachuted down into the target area to find the bunker and then tunnel down into the ground. “Like a more stealthy version of The Mole from Thunderbirds… RUM would also carry defensive systems in case anyone tried to stop it,” the outlet concluded.

Kim Jong Un must understand that he is playing with the big boys now, and he really shouldn’t test our patience anymore. The United States military has plenty of options to infiltrate his bunkers. Under President Donald Trump’s leadership, the military may not hesitate to employ these strategies.

Rapper XXXTentacion (I have no idea who to pronounce that) is most famous for getting knocked out cold on stage by a rival crew. He probably figured that wasn’t the dopest thing to be remembered for so he made a video where he lynches a little white boy. Nothing gets a rapper’s name out their more than killing whitey and murdering a white child is sure to send him to the top of the heap.

In his new video for the song “Look at Me” XXXTentacion starts things off in a classroom where he and his fellow thugs beat a white teacher to death. It kind of looks like XXXTentacion is dry humping the corpse at one point. Sadly, this is the least horrible thing in the video.

From there the lynching of Emmit Till, the Philando Castile shooting, and the Rodney King beating are highlighted. He also throws in some Charlottesville just to be relevant. The message is that whitey is alway killing the black man for no reason.

Worry not, XXXTentacion is going to get some payback. At around the 2:15 mark a little white boy and a little black boy are walked onto a stage where a noose is hanging. XXXTentacion whispers something to each child and then makes his decision. He slips the noose over the white boy’s head and then hoists him off of the stage. You can see the white kid dangling as his legs twitch and he eventually dies.

After that, XXXTentacion goes on an incohesive rant where he’s basically trying to say that murder is bad no matter what the race of the killer is. To be honest, this thing barely qualifies as a music video. In the 5 and a half minute running time, there’s probably around 30 seconds of actually music, not that rap is actual music.

I think XXXTentacion is trying to make some kind of profound statement here, but it doesn’t come through very clear. The basic impression I got out of this is that it’s pretty much a black fantasy revenge video in which the white man gets what’s coming to him.

Whatever this rapper was going for, there are better ways to make a point than killing a little kid. All while we are on the subject, let’s talk about the horrible stage mom who let her little boy get lynched in this video. What the hell is the matter with some people?

During an appearance on CNN’s “Reliable Sources” three years ago, The Weather Channel founder John Coleman destroyed, eviscerated and demolished both CNN and host Brian Stelter over their fanatical dedication to the unproven theory of man-made climate change.

“I resent you calling me a ‘denier,’” he initially told Stelter, referencing the host’s decision to identify him as a so-called “climate denier,” according to a transcript from The Heartland Center. “I’m a skeptic about climate change.”

Stelter then made the unwise decision to interrupt Coleman to tell him how much he personally loves The Weather Channel. And that, ladies and gentlemen, is when Coleman began letting him have it.

“I’m talking now!” he barked back. “Hold on just a minute. I’m not done. And CNN has taken a very strong position on global warming that it is a consensus. There is no consensus in science. Science isn’t a vote. Science is about facts. And if you get down to the hard cold facts, there’s no question about it. Climate change is not happening.”

When Stelter interrupted him again shortly thereafter to argue that it wouldn’t be possible for them to reach a definitive conclusion on man-made climate change during the show, Coleman hit him again. “Oh I know we’re not, because you would’t allow it to happen on CNN,” he snarkily replied.

The remainder of the interview continued in the same vein, with Stelter repeatedly trotting out bogus “facts,” and Coleman slapping them down every time.

“That’s a manipulated figure and let me explain it to you,” he said when Stelter touted the “fact” that 97 percent of climate scientists believe in climate change.

He explained that the government will only fund scientists who produce certain scientific results that fit their desired agenda.

“So, they don’t have any choice,” he said. “If you’re going to get the money, you gotta support their position. Therefore, 97 percent of the scientific reports published support global warming. Why? Because those are the ones the government pays for and that’s where the money is.”

“I’m not a scientist, so I’m not going to try to refute you,” Stelter replied, to which Coleman replied with the slam of the year: “Boy, that’s the truth.“

Ain’t it, though!?

“So please stand back from this issue … There are 31,000 scientists who have signed a petition that says it is not valid, that my position is correct,” he added. “And we’ll keep battling, and we will prevail in time, but I don’t know if we’ll do it in my lifetime.”

As of September, an astonishing 31,487 scientists with 9,029 PhDs have signed the petition.

The CIA developed a small espionage drone back in the 1970s that resembled a dragonfly. Now that it is on display, viewers are truly impressed by how realistic the tiny spy looks.

According to Business Insider, the drone was called an “Insectothopter,” and was used as a discreet way of recording and collecting audio intelligence.

The ahead-of-its-time drone is now on display at CIA Museum in Langley, Virginia, and is an object of intrigue to everyone who comes to view the exhibit. Because of security considerations, only a select few are able to personally visit the museum to gaze at the spy tech of the past.

“Its five galleries are hidden from public view, accessible only to CIA employees and special guests who’ve been granted security clearance,” Slate reported. “In these rooms lie artifacts from decades of espionage dating back to World War II, when the CIA’s predecessor, the Office of Strategic Services (OSS), was established.”

But in the digital world, physical presence is no longer required. The has made some of its considerable collection available for online viewing.

The Insectothopter was one of the agency’s tiniest spies, measuring in at just 2.3 inches long and weighing only one gram. According to the CIA, it was created to, “prove the concept of such miniaturized platforms for intelligence collection” was possible.

“A tiny, gas-powered engine crammed into the insectothopter’s thorax moved the wings up and down, giving the tiny drone height and thrust. A laser beam, according to the CIA’s insectothopter video, ‘provided guidance and acted as the data link for the audio sensor payload,’” Atlas Obscura explained.

I mean, how cool is it that a dragonfly had a laser beam on its head?!

The technology was created with help from a watchmaker and during the test flights the drones had an impressive range of about 650-feet, but had a flight time of only 60 seconds.

According to multiple outlets, the project was eventually canceled and the dragonfly drones were decommissioned after they proved to be too susceptible to crosswinds in the field.

This project, however, opened the door to many more spy drones based on animals. Another one on display at the museum is known as Charlie. Charlie was a robotic fish with a communication system built into its belly, and was able to operate unmanned and underwater.

According to the CIA, Charlie’s capabilities included, “speed, endurance, maneuverability, depth control, navigational accuracy,” and most freaky of all, “autonomy.”

Add Charlie and the Insectothopter to the fact that the CIA used to use camera-mounted pigeons, and you’ll see why the museum is such a hit with the few visitors who are allowed in.

But considering the engineering advances that have taken place since the 1970s in the fields of robotics, miniature devices and cameras, it is a little disconcerting to consider the possibility that innocent-appearing dragonflies you see, or even fish underwater, could be spies for the CIA.

Incorrigible attention whore and race-baiter Shaun King is a jock-sniffer and a hypocrite.

The New York Daily News columnist and former Black Lives Matter activist has worn his love for Cam Newton and Colin Kaepernick on his sleeve and is an NFL junkie to his very core.

That was what made it so bizarre when Mr. King threw a stompy-feet hissy fit and vowed to boycott the NFL after ESPN brought back Hank Williams Jr. to do the opener on Monday Night Football – that and the lack of a rush from teams to sign a certain former Super Bowl losin quarterback.

Perhaps nothing sealed the deal more for me, though, than ESPN deciding that they were going to bring back Hank Williams, Jr., to sing their popular Monday Night Football anthem before NFL broadcasts. Let’s not forget, Williams openly called Barack Obama Hitler, then a Muslim, and has gone on bigoted and homophobic rants since. Hank Williams, Jr. is basically Donald Trump with a guitar. He’s a bigot. Everybody knows it. His songs and statements have echoed bigotry for years, but now that Obama is out of office, he’s back.

It’s a spit in the face of every African-American fan, every LGBT fan, and everybody who despises bigotry and Islamophobia.

That would have seemed to have sealed the deal that this weirdo would just go and find something else to bitch about…. until it didn’t.

King’s “boycott” quickly went by the wayside on Monday morning when he decided to chime in as an armchair quarterback on how his idol Kaepernick was better than a number of the overpaid white schmucks whose putrid play cost their teams on opening weekend.

King is right that a good number of the quarterbacks totally stink and Kaepernick does have more talent and experience than a number of them but that ship has already sailed and it’s not about ability but rather one man’s personal choice to willingly become a controversial and eventually toxic figure.

After today’s tweet in which King’s hero Kaepernick praised a narcissistic racist nutcase who called the legitimately elected President of the United States a white supremacist stuck the fork in the ass of his NFL career, the author should start being a part of the solution instead of a part of the problem.

These seedy purveyors of disunity that are undermining America from within like a rapacious column of Formosan Termites are the ones who need to be ignored.

This is especially the case with a dishonest hypocrite like Mr. King who just couldn’t shut his television off and also shut his big damned mouth and serve as a POSITIVE example for once in his life.

Black women on Chicago’s South Side are getting their concealed carry permits and arming up in light of the city’s continual violence.

Breitbart News reported that nearly 4,400 were shot in Chicago in 2016 and there were almost 800 homicides. This year, Fourth of July weekend and the weekend of August 18-20 witnessed a revival of 2016-type violence. The Chicago Sun-Times reported that over 100 people were shot on Fourth of July weekend and another 63 were shot over the weekend of August 18-20.

A total of 22 people were killed over those two weekends alone, and an increasing number of black women on Chicago’s South Side are not sitting around and waiting to be next.

According to the Chicago Tribune, 51-year-old Vernetta Robinzine got her carry permit in the spring and talks of her gun by saying, “It’s like a part of me now.” She lives in Chicago’s South Austin neighborhood and says her home has been robbed and that she responded by putting so many locks on her doors that “she felt like a prisoner in her own house.”

Her daughter then left for college, leaving Robinzine alone, at which time she decided she needed a gun. She said, “I just didn’t want to feel like a victim or vulnerable.”

Robinzine is part of a larger wave of black women in Chicago who are taking their well-being into their own hands. The Tribune reports that “black women in Cook County had the sharpest growth — 67 percent from 2014 to 2016 — of any demographic group receiving concealed carry permits in [the county], based on applicants who disclosed both their race and gender.” For example, 800 carry permits were issued to black women in Cook County in 2008 while 1,368 were issued to black women between January 1, 2017, and August 27, 2017, alone.

National African American Gun Association founder Philip Smith is not surprised by the surge in concealed carry permit issuance to black women. In fact, he indicated that for a single woman who is a mother, having “a gun replaces a male presence in a home.” University of Illinois at Chicago professor Alexandria Filindra had a different opinion. She said, “More people with handguns in their purses means more likelihood of accidental gunshots and not necessarily a lot more actual protection.”

For those paying attention, accidental gunshots are not Chicago’s problem, but ruthless violence wherein an armed criminal preys on an unsuspecting citizen is regularly in the news.
