California Democrats are so far left that they can no longer support ...Dianne Feinstein
Dianne Feinstein is nothing if not a staunch left-winger.  Yes, every now and then she might express an idea that the radical base is uncomfortable with but, by and large, she toes the Democrat line.  Still, she has a problem.  “Toeing the line” is no longer good enough.

DCCC warned Democrats not to ‘politicize’ Vegas shooting

After the Las Vegas shooting last year, the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee issued an email warning candidates not to politicize the attack, at least not immediately. The email containing the advice was published today by HuffPost and, as you can imagine, activists and some Democrats are not happy about it:

The morning after the Oct. 1 mass shooting in Las Vegas, a member of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee’s press staff warned House candidates and their staffs not to “politicize” the shooting that day. Politicization, according to the DCCC official, included talking about gun violence prevention policy.

“You and your candidate will be understandably outraged and upset, as will your community. However, DO NOT POLITICIZE IT TODAY,” DCCC regional press secretary Evan Lukaske wrote to candidates in the Northeast. “There will be time for politics and policy discussion, but any message today should be on offering thoughts/prayers for victims and their families, and thanking 1st responders who saved lives.”…

Gun violence prevention activists said they were disappointed the DCCC was advising candidates not to aggressively talk about policy solutions as often as possible. Ladd Everitt, director of the gun violence prevention group One Pulse for America, described the DCCC email as “pathetic.” Mark Glaze, senior adviser to the group Guns Down, said it was “straight out of the NRA’s talking points.”

“If the DCCC is willing to give up a key issue and offend virtually every Democrat so as not to bother eight Independents in rural Missouri, they’re even more incompetent than we thought, and Democrats should be very worried about the midterms,” Glaze said.

If you spend any time on social media, you’ve probably already seen the pushback against “thoughts and prayers” in response to a mass shooting. For instance:

By that standard, the DCCC are cowards recommending their own candidates act like cowards. Here’s another meme that’s become popular on the left:

HuffPost reports the DCCC would not say whether they had sent out a similar email after the Parkland shooting but pointed out that candidates were free to ignore their advice.

I don’t know who leaked this to HuffPost but it’s probably a safe bet it was someone who would like to see the DCCC take a more activist stance on this issue in 2018. As I noted yesterday, a majority of Democrats in the House seem ready to go all in on this message, promising to ban semi-automatic weapons in exchange for electoral victory.

Students arrested, accused of setting up GoFundMe page to raise ammo money for school shooting

Authorities arrested two teens last week in connection with threats made to Combs High School in San Tan Valley, Arizona, including the reported creation of a GoFundMe account set up for the purpose of buying ammunition to “shoot up” the school.

What kind of threats were made?

School officials called the Pinal County Sheriff’s Office to investigate after two 15-year-olds were allegedly overheard by another student while discussing the prospect of bringing a gun to the school.

Authorities said one of the accused threatened to file the serial number off a gun and use it in a shooting at Combs, and that the second teen assisted the first in setting up the GoFundMe account.

“The site explained that ammunition was expensive and they needed help to shoot up Combs High School,” Pinal County Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Navideh Forghani said in a statement, KNXV-TV reported.

While deputies said the first student did not have access to weapons, they said the second student did. The second student also claimed to have been present when the GoFundMe account was created, but told investigators he did not know who created it.

Then what happened?

Authorities arrested both teens and charged them with conspiracy to commit terrorism and interference or disruption of an educational institution.

Deputies say the GoFundMe account has been removed.

In a statement released Monday, a GoFundMe spokesperson said:

The campaign raised no funds and has been removed from the platform. Additionally, the campaign organizer has been banned from using the GoFundMe platform. It is against GoFundMe’s terms of service to raise funds on our platform to buy ammunition or firearms.

The Combs High School student newspaper,  Combs Courier, reported Friday that roughly 300 students participated in a walkout intended to support recent school shooting victims. The article made no mention of any potential threats to Combs, but focused on the differing intentions of those who were in attendance: some students urged for stricter gun control laws, while others chanted, “We want guns.”

School administration reportedly attended the event for the purpose of assuring the safety of students and appropriateness during the walkout.

Vandals Smash Windows of St. Louis Business for Hanging Flag Supporting Police

Vandals Smash Windows of St. Louis Business for Hanging Flag Supporting Police

A St. Louis antique shop is being threatened and harassed after hanging a flag in support of the police in the shop window.

Leftists have been harassing her customers and left a threatening note on the store window earlier this month.

Black youths broke the window of a neighboring store on antique row earlier this month for hanging a similar flag.

Now this…

Vandals smashed the windows of Elder’s Antiques on Tuesday morning after weeks of threats.

FOX 2 Now reported:

An antique store on Cherokee Street in south St. Louis had one of its windows shattered by a rock Tuesday morning. The owner believes she’s being targeted because she flew an American flag with a thin blue line on it outside her store in support of the police.

Cherri Elder, the owner of Elder’s Antiques, a longtime business on Cherokee Street’s Antique Row, said the verbal harassment began last summer when she first put the flag up.

Elder said she supports two city police officers who patrol the Antique Row on Cherokee where she is located.

She took the flag down in December as the harassment continued. On February 17, Elder said a large sign was put on her front door glass saying, “Pig Supporters Not Welcome Flag Goes Down Or You Go Down.”…

These incidents come after another nearby store on Cherokee called DeMay Antiques and Furs had a front window kicked out and four American flags supporting police stolen.

BRAINWASHING: CA University Offers Course About Removing Trump From Office

A California university is offering a course that revolves around removing President Trump from office.

As Celine Ryan and Brandon Jones report at Campus Reform, San Diego State University will offer the one-unit course in March. Professor John Joseph Cleary will teach the class; the text for the course is ”The Case for Impeachment,” authored by Allan Lichtman, which was released after Trump’s election and advocates removing him from office.

The course advertises itself thus:

Focus will be on the two constitutional grounds: impeachment and removal (25th Amendment), and the possible charges of the independent counsel, the powers of the president, a history of the creation of that office and the comparison of divine right and rule of law leadership, presidential impeachments, including Nixon’s de facto impeachment, practically limitless grounds for impeachment, presidential immunity from indictment and grounds for impeachment, removal, or indictment covering: conflict of interests, foreign emoluments, climate change, racism, religious bias, improper influence, nepotism, and a host of crimes, including conspiracy, false statements, and obstruction of justice.

Ryan and Jones note, “The course will be offered through SDSU’s Criminal Justice program, which is a part of the school’s College of Professional Studies and Fine Arts.”

San Diego State seems to be a true bastion for leftists; as The Daily Wire reported last September, students at San Diego State University were allowed to earn extra credit in Professor Dae Elliott’s classes if they took a quiz to determine if they have “white privilege.”

Cruz’s neighbor begged cops to step in after reporting dark behavior. This is why they didn’t.

Police reportedly failed to intervene in accused Florida school shooter Nikolas Cruz’s life even though a neighbor said she gave police myriad examples of Cruz’s concerning behavior.

According to Joelle Guarino, law enforcement said that they could do nothing at the time because Cruz wasn’t an “immediate threat.”

What are the details?

Guarino, in an interview with CNN’s Rosa Flores, reported that Guarino called the cops after her son showed her Cruz’s Instagram posts which reportedly featured weapons and indicated that he had interest in carrying out a school shooting.

“I begged [the officer],” Guarino said. “And he basically told me that it was not an immediate threat so he couldn’t do anything.”

“There is nothing I can do,” Guarino said the officer told her. “Until he does something there is nothing I can do.”

Guarino added that she recalled the officer leaving and said to herself, “My God, he’s going to kill something and I can do nothing about it.”

Guarino indicated that she wasn’t at all surprised when she heard about Cruz’s purported involvement in the deadly shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, which took the lives of 17 people and injured many more.

“I had no doubt he was going to do this,” she said. “My husband and I both knew that we would eventually see him one day on the news, wearing an orange jumpsuit, being charged with murder.”

According to CNN, Guarino “knew” it was Cruz who reportedly carried out the mass shooting when she’d heard the news.

Flores also said that during her interview with Guarino, the former neighbor said that she could sense Cruz’s “darker side,” and detailed an occasion where “Cruz was standing over her dog as the dog was foaming and convulsing and he had this wild, eerie look about him.”

Guarino also told Flores that Cruz exhibited concerning behavior from the time that he was a baby.

She described an occasion where Cruz, as a baby, continuously hit one of her own sons with a toy. According to Guarino, Cruz’s mother intervened, and began “hitting him and asking him not to hit others.”

Guarino detailed an occurrence a few years later when Cruz reportedly locked himself in one of the rooms in her house and destroyed property contained therein after other kids made fun of him for spilling a drink and joking that it looked like he’d wet himself.

She added that Cruz, at the age of 10, one time, threw a rock at her son, striking him in the face.

Guarino eventually ended up ending her friendship with Cruz’s mother, but detailed his mother’s own odd behaviors, including reportedly locking up the refrigerator and pantry. Guarino added that she’d feed Cruz at her own home when he was hungry.

Another neighbor, Paul Gold, corroborated Guarino’s story about the locked refrigerator and pantry, but said that it wasn’t done to punish Cruz, but rather was done because Cruz’s mother was working from a shoestring budget and would sometimes run out of food in the home.

Guarino reported that she’d also witnessed Cruz killing small animals, such as toads, and said he would later dissect them.

“His face was excited that it was happening — with this wild satisfaction look,” Guarino explained. “As soon as he saw me his demeanor changed.”

POLL: Here’s Who Americans Blame For Florida School Shooting. Hint: It’s Not The NRA.

On Tuesday, Rasmussen Reports released a new survey that dampened the media’s gun control hysteria as it revealed that the overwhelming majority of Americans blame government failures for the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School shooting in Parkland, Florida.

Rasmussen’s poll was conducted after CNN’s propaganda-style town hall event that demonized gun owners, Republicans, and NRA members. Rasmussen reports:

  • 54% of American Adults believe the failure of government agencies to respond to numerous warning signs from the prospective killer is more to blame for the mass shooting. Thirty-three percent (33%) attribute the deaths more to a lack of adequate gun control. Eleven percent (11%) opt for something else.
  • Among Americans who have children of elementary or secondary school age, 61% think the government is more to blame. Just 23% of these adults fault a lack of adequate gun control more.

Those surveyed were divided on what they believed would do the most good in preventing mass murders. 41% of respondents opted for stricter gun control while 40% said more action was needed to treat mental health issues. Only 50% of Democrats said that a lack of sufficient gun control was at fault.

Rasmussen also notes that 54% of Americans believe that stricter gun control laws will do nothing or increase violent crime while only 39% believe stricter gun control laws will decrease crime.

Rasmussen further noted that the majority of Americans believe that violent video games and movies are making America a more hostile and violent place.

Texas Sheriff Sends EPIC Memo To Department Amid Reports Broward County Deputy Refused To Engage Parkland Gunman

Texas Sheriff Sends EPIC Memo To Department Amid Reports Broward County Deputy Refused To Engage Parkland Gunman

Amid reports that Broward County deputy Scot Peterson refused to engage Parkland shooter Nikolas Cruz, Denton County Sheriff Tracy Murphree sent a memo to his deputies, reminding them to take “immediate action in an active shooter situation.”

“We do not stage and wait for SWAT, we do not take cover in a parking lot, and we do not wait for another agency. We go in and do our duty. We go in to engage and stop the shooter and save lives,” Murphree wrote.

“All commissioned Deputies if you respond to an active shooter, you are expected to take immediate action,” Murphree added.

In a message on Twitter, Murphee said, “Just in case you were wondering. There is NO DOUBT where we stand. Denton County Sheriff’s Office, BUILT ON INTEGRITY!”

Broward County Sheriff Scott Israel is currently investigating why Scot Peterson, the former Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, failed to act as gunman Nikolas Cruz shot dead 17 people in Parkland, Florida.

As The Gateway Pundit’s Jim Hoft reported, CNN says three Broward County Sheriff’s Deputies waited outside the school during the shooting.

CNN reported:

When Coral Springs police officers arrived at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida, on February 14 in the midst of the school shooting crisis, many officers were surprised to find not only that Broward County Sheriff’s Deputy Scot Peterson, the armed school resource officer, had not entered the building, but that three other Broward County Sheriff’s deputies were also outside the school and had not entered, Coral Springs sources tell CNN. The deputies had their pistols drawn and were behind their vehicles, the sources said, and not one of them had gone into the school.

Last Friday, Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School senior Brandon Huff told WSVN that Broward Sheriff resource officer, Scot Peterson, hid behind a staircase while pointing his gun at “nothing” as gunman Nikolas Cruz shot dead 17 people.

State Dept: We’ve Had Concerns for ‘Quite Some Time’ North Korea Might Sell Chemical Weapons to Syria

The U.S. State Department indicated on Tuesday it has been an ongoing concern that North Korea could sell chemical weapons to the Assad regime in Syria as it seeks to develop its nuclear and ballistic missile weapons program.

A reporter asked spokeswoman Heather Nauert about media reports that first came out on Tuesday concerning a forthcoming report from United Nations experts that indicates the North Korean regime has been shipping supplies to Syria.

Nauert told reporters the United States has been concerned the regime may be driven to such measures because of the country’s desperate economic conditions.

"This is something that the United States has had concerns about for quite some time, that North Korea–especially as North Korea becomes more desperate–that they look for different, creative, and horrific ways to try to make money to fund their criminal regime," she said.

Nauert said if the regime is selling chemical weapons materials to Syria, it demonstrates why the United States will not engage in talks with North Korea until the hermit state agrees to rid itself of its nuclear weapons.

"If they are selling goods, material, whatever you want to call it, to Syria, it shows the depravity of that regime, and that is exactly why we stand so firmly behind our policy of denuclearization," Nauert said.

Bashar al-Assad’s forces in Syria, supported by Russia, have used chemical weapons on civilians in multiple parts of the country during its ongoing civil war. Earlier this month, Nauert called out the Russian government for enabling Assad and indicated Assad’s forces had used some form of chemical weapons on the Syrian people "six times in the last 30 days."

UH-OH: Broward County State Attorney Has Sheriff Israel In Crosshairs As New Details of Misconduct Emerge

UH-OH: Broward County State Attorney Has Sheriff Israel In Crosshairs As New Details of Misconduct Emerge

Fox News contributor Sara A. Carter reports the Broward County State Attorney’s office is currently investigating more than 66 cases of misconduct under embattled Sheriff Scott Israel.

Carter reports:

There are more than 66 investigations by the Broward County State Attorney’s office into Broward County Sheriff’s deputies and employees, ranging from drug trafficking to kidnapping since 2012. All the internal investigations occurred under embattled Sheriff Scott Israel’s watch, whose office is now under investigation for allegations that his deputies failed to allow first responders from treating patients at the scene of Stoneman Douglas High School shooting on Feb. 14, and that multiple deputies failed to enter the school to defend the children during the rampage that left 17 people dead, this reporter has learned.

According to lawyer David Schoen:

“Approximately 66 BSO (Broward Sheriff’s Office) deputies and other employees, including supervisory personnel were arrested for, charged with, and/or convicted of crimes that run the gamut from Armed Kidnapping, to Battery, Assault, Falsifying records, Official Misconduct, Narcotics trafficking, and other crimes involving dishonesty and violence in the years immediately proceeding 2013 when Jermaine was killed. Most of the offenses on the list occurred in the years 2012-2013,” according to court records filed by Schoen against Israel and the Broward County Sheriff deputy defendants.

As The Gateway Pundit reported, Israel was accused in 2016 of using ‘amorous’ women to illegally entrap African-American men.

In a deposition, Israel even admitted the VIPER unit (Violent Intervention Proactive Enforcement Response), which ‘entrapped’ Hilaire, “basically entrapped people via a ‘hotel method,’” says reporter Alex Rubinstein.

Florida House Speaker Richard Corcoran and “nearly every Republican House member” is demanding Gov. Rick Scott (R-FL) suspend Israel.

In the meantime, Gov. Scott has ordered the Florida Department of Law Enforcement to probe local police’s response to the shooting.

Israel is currently investigating why Scot Peterson, the former Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, failed to act as gunman Nikolas Cruz shot dead 17 people in Parkland, Florida.
