‘Unplanned’ Is Driving Abortion Workers Out of the Industry

The pro-life movie “Unplanned” surpassed all expectations in theaters, and is now leading abortion workers to leave the industry. In this episode, Rachel del Guidice talks to Abby Johnson, a former Planned Parenthood worker, about the stunning trend. Plus: Alabama is set for a legal showdown after passing a law that bans abortion. Thomas Jipping joins us to unpack what could come next and analyzes the prospects of overturning Roe v. Wade.

We also cover these stories:

  • Missouri and Louisiana race to follow Alabama by advancing similar restrictions on abortion.
  • President Donald Trump unveils his new immigration plan, which emphasizes skills over family ties.
  • Trump rebuffs claims that his White House is heading for war with Iran.
  • The SAT will start giving students an “adversity score,” raising concerns about how merit is measured in standardized testing.

Rachel del Guidice: We’re joined on The Daily Signal podcast by Abby Johnson. She’s a former Planned Parenthood employee who had a change of heart and is now a pro-life advocate. Abby, thank you so much for being with us today.

Abby Johnson: Yeah, of course. Thanks for having me.

del Guidice: Your story was recently made into a film called “Unplanned,” which has seen incredibly successful results at the box office, exceeded expectations. How would you characterize the success of the film?

Johnson: It was even surprising to me. You put out something like this, you don’t know how successful it’s going to be. Are people going to go watch it? Are they going to tell their friends about it? Especially a film specifically about abortion.

But it’s done so well, exceedingly well, and people have really been moved by it. They’ve been touched by it. We’ve seen lives saved because of it and lots of conversions taking place, so it’s been pretty amazing.

del Guidice: You mentioned the lives saved and the conversions, and I remember seeing you post it, I think on your Facebook page, that at one point—and I’m not sure if this is still the case—but you said that there were one or two people leaving, clinic workers leaving their clinics per day after seeing this film. Is that still the case, and how has that been attributed to “Unplanned?”

Johnson: Yeah. For awhile we were really experiencing an overwhelming amount of workers contacting us. Since the film is out of theaters now, that’s slowed down a little bit, but we’re now over 500 workers who have come through And Then There Were None.

So many have come through after viewing the film, watching the film, and a lot of them going in as a critic to see what this is all about, and then finding truth in it and saying, “I don’t want to do this anymore either.”

It’s been amazing just to see the fruit and to see all these people’s lives change for the better.

del Guidice: That’s incredible. You mentioned that some of them are going in as critics. Have any of them mentioned to you—other than wanting to go in as a critic—anything that intrigued them to the film? I’m sure in some cases it was definitely going against their own beliefs to step out and see this film.

Johnson: Yeah. They have told us that some of them went in as groups, like a group of workers from the clinic that went together. Some of them went individually, didn’t want anyone to know who they were or didn’t want anyone to know that they were going to see the film, so sort of went in secretly.

It’s been sort of different, different stories there. But yeah, they definitely were instructed not to see the film by Planned Parenthood.

I think that it’s just sort of like that “Do not push that big red button.” And you’re like, “Why don’t you want me to see this? What’s in it that you don’t want me to see?” So I think that was enough to intrigue a lot of people to go and watch this.

del Guidice: Wow, that’s bizarre. So, Planned Parenthood essentially encouraged, indirectly, their people to see this movie? That’s amazing.

Johnson: Yeah, exactly.

del Guidice: Wow. Was there a particular scene that they say impacted them to the point of eventually precipitating their choice to leave, or a discussion they had afterward? Was there anything? Or is there a common theme that clinic workers have said really was the turning point for them in the film?

Johnson: Definitely the ultrasound-guided abortions. A lot of them have seen that themselves.

It’s sort of different to remove yourself from what you do every day and to look at it sort of as an outsider, and I think that’s what they were forced to do. And then to see, to hear how everyone else in the theater is impacted by that scene.

One of the gals that contacted us said, “I just … heard everyone gasping and I thought to myself, ‘Oh my gosh, this really isn’t normal, what I’m doing every day. This isn’t normal. I’ve been trained to believe that it is, but it’s not.’”

So I think the reactions of other people was very powerful for them to hear. And I think definitely we’ve heard that the RU-486 abortion scene, my abortion scene, the medication abortion, was very impactful for them. Because a lot of them, they’re hearing stories of women who are coming back and saying, “This is not what you told me would happen. This was terrible.”

For them to actually see what these women are going through and how they haven’t been honest with them, and they’ve just sort of been spouting the company talking point but not really hearing what these women are going through, those two things I think were some of the most impactful for them.

del Guidice: Wow. That’s incredible. Is there a favorite story you’ve heard so far of maybe one or two clinic workers that have left that you could share anonymously? Someone who’s come forward and saw the film and has just been completely changed? Any particular story that stands out among the hundreds that have left?

Johnson: There was one actually. There was a man that contacted us. He went to go see the film and he was driving a truck for Stericycle. There was a scene at the end of the film where the guy from the biohazard medical waste company comes out with these barrels of aborted babies, and he had just started working there, and there was a Planned Parenthood clinic on his route.

He said, “I never realized what I was actually picking up. I thought I was just picking up needles and things like that, but I went and looked up and they actually are an abortion clinic, and so inside of these bags that I’m toting out, I’m realizing that there are aborted babies in these bags, and I’m driving around with them.”

He was like, “How can I participate in this? I have to get out of it.” He had just gotten this job. He had been unemployed for months, and he said, “I can’t do this anymore. I can’t be complicit. I have to walk away.”

He took this huge leap of faith, trusted our ministry, left, and I love that story because it just shows how abortion affects so many people, not even people that are just in the clinic, but this Stericycle driver.

Abortion affects so many, and it’s so far reaching. But I just love the faith that he had that we were going to help him, we were going to take care of him, we were going to help him find another job, and he took that big step, and now he’s onto something so much better that he can actually feel good about.

del Guidice: Wow. That is absolutely beautiful. For listeners who aren’t familiar, can you just share briefly about what And Then There Were None does and the outreach that you guys do to so many people across the country?

Johnson: Sure. We help doctors, nurses, ancillary staff, anyone who is involved in the abortion industry, we help them transition out of their jobs and into different lines of work, life-affirming work.

We do provide transitional financial help for them because we don’t want them to feel like they have to stay until they’ve found another job. Once they realize, “I want out of here,” we want them to go ahead and leave.

We have HR professionals that will write resumes for them, help them with interviewing techniques. We have head hunters who work with us that can help them find new jobs. We have licensed professional therapists that work with us that help them manage the trauma or any feeling that they might need after they leave.

We also have attorneys. We have over 3,000 attorneys located in every state that are willing to work with our employees. A lot of times the workers leave, and they will say, “Well, I know something that was going on that was illegal.”

We get them in contact with an attorney, and because of that, we’ve helped to close down 21 abortion facilities because of the work of these pro-life attorneys coupled with the stories and the experiences that these workers have whenever they leave.

del Guidice: That’s incredible. If listeners want to get involved by supporting you guys, or if a clinic worker is listening or knows someone who might want to reach out for support, where would you ask them to go to?

Johnson: They can go to abortionworker.com.

del Guidice: Awesome. Abby, thank you so much for joining us today.

Johnson: Of course. Thank you.

NUTS: Democrats Vote Unanimously to Force Schools to Include Biological Males in Women’s Sports

The end of women’s sports as we know it.

For the second year in a row, transgender wrestler Mack Beggs won the Texas girls’ Class 6A 110-pound wrestling division. Beggs is in the process of transitioning from female to male and taking testosterone. Mack won the title last year too.

In October 2018 trangender Dr. Rachel McKinnon (in the middle) became the first ever transgender world champion in a women’s cycling event.

In March 2017, Laurel Hubbard, a 39 year-old transgender who was born male, won her first international women’s weightlifting title in Australia breaking four national records in the process.

Last week two trans athletes won 1st and 2nd place at the Connecticut state indoor track championships.

Democrats call this “progress.”

On Friday the Democrat controlled House of Representatives voted 236-173 in favor of the Equality Act, which would require schools to include male athletes who identify as transgender girls on female sports teams. The bill had unanimous Democrat party support.

The bill forces schools to include biological males in women’s sports.

This is pure insanity.
Biological males have a distinct advantage over females in athletics.
This bill hurts women the most.

The Daily Caller reported:

The bill amends the Civil Rights Act of 1964 to make “sexual orientation and gender identity” protected characteristics under federal anti-discrimination law.

Among other things, that would force public schools to expand female athletic teams to include biological males who identify as transgender girls.

Republican Florida Rep. Greg Steube introduced a last-minute amendment to the bill that would have preserved Title IX’s protections of female athletic teams, but Democrats rejected it.

A Trump-supporting conservative Prime Minister pulled off a surprise win in Australia

Scott Morrison was not supposed to continue to be Australia’s Prime Minister. Polls had consistently shown his Liberal Party, which is a center-right party, trailing the center-left Labor Party for several months. But to everyone’s surprise, the right-leaning party pulled it out. Morrison, who is an evangelical Christian, called it a miracle. From CNN:

In a triumphant speech Saturday night, Morrison said he had “always believed in miracles.”

“And tonight we’ve been delivered another one,” he told jubilant supporters in Sydney who chanted Morrison’s nickname “ScoMo.”

The result will be devastating for the center-left Labor Party, which had been ahead in every opinion poll during the campaign and had expected to easily form a government after Saturday’s vote.

“This was the unlosable election for the Labor Party. That’s how this was considered,” ABC’s Patricia Karvelas said from the Melbourne Labor event.

What may cause concern for progressives both in Australia and here at home is the framing of this election. The Labor Party’s platform was to pursue more dramatic action on climate change and higher taxes on the rich. From the NY Times:

The election had presented Australia, a vital American ally in the Asia-Pacific, with a crucial question: Would it remain on a rightward path and stick with a political coalition that promised economic stability, jobs and cuts to immigration or choose greater action on climate change and income inequality?…

The candidate Mr. Morrison defeated, Bill Shorten, the leader of the center-left Labor Party, offered an alternative path for Australia: a return to more government intervention on climate change and the economy, and intensified skepticism about the United States and Mr. Trump…

Mr. Morrison, who kept policy proposals to a minimum during the campaign, rode a singular message to victory: that the Labor Party’s plans to raise spending to bolster public health programs, education and wages would blow up the budget and end Australia’s generation-long run of economic growth.

Ignoring the turmoil that has led his coalition to churn through three prime ministers in six years, he promoted his center-right Liberal Party as a steady hand on the tiller, and made promises of cheaper energy and help for first-time homeowners.

In essence, the left-leaning party was running on the Green New Deal and Morrison won by pointing out that could damage the economy. It remains to be seen whether those results are transferrable to the United States, but you do have some of the same elements in play. First, almost the entire field of Democrats has endorsed the Green New Deal. Second, the creator of the Green New Deal, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, won’t even try to explain how much it would cost or how we could pay for it. And third, the economy is doing very well right now. If that continues for another year, it shouldn’t be hard for Trump to make the pitch that it’s not worth upsetting the apple cart by voting for someone like Bernie Sanders.

The wild card in this scenario is Joe Biden. Biden apparently considers himself a far-left progressive but most people in his party seem to see him as a more moderate alternative to candidates like Sanders or Warren. We’ll have to wait and see how it turns out but you can bet a lot of Democrats are looking at the results of the Australian election and are wondering about their party’s prospects in 2020.

Here’s Bill Shorten, the guy whose party lost, making the “case for change.”

Bombshell Report: Cops Linked Crack Pipe to Biden’s Son Days Before Election, Charges Swept Under the Rug

Bombshell: Cops Linked Crack Pipe to Biden’s Son Days Before Election, Charges Swept Under the Rug

Most average Americans who are caught committing crimes — especially drug-related offenses — are likely to face serious consequences for their poor decisions.

But if you’ve got connections, particularly to ultra-powerful figures in Washington, D.C., the chances of a criminal incident going away increases significantly, as was the case for former Vice President Joe Biden’s son, Hunter Biden.

According to a 2016 Arizona police report obtained exclusively by Breitbart, a crack pipe was found in a rental car that was dropped off in the middle of the night in a Prescott, Arizona, location — just days before the 2016 Presidential election. Two driver’s licenses with Biden’s legal name (Robert Biden), credit cards, a Secret Service business card and an attorney general’s badge were also recovered from the vehicle, according to police.

The report said that police also found “a white powdery substance in the arm rest of the vehicle.” And given the fact that authorities confirmed the pipe was used for smoking cocaine, the substance on the arm rest probably wasn’t powered sugar.

TRENDING: AOC Tells Biggest Lie Possible About AL Abortion Bill, Proving She Never Read Bill She’s Attacking

Biden originally rented the vehicle from a California Hertz location, with the intention of dropping it off in Prescott. But what he probably didn’t intend on doing is leaving his identification and drug paraphernalia in the car in a drop-off.

The report takes a bizarre turn concerning events that happened the day after Hertz employees made the discovery. That next morning, a phone call to Hertz from a local “Colon Hydrotherapist” was received and on other end was a man by the name of “Joseph McGee.”

As Breitbart reported, “‘McGee’ informed the rental car company employee, according to police, that ‘his friend was feeling sick so they didn’t know what to do’ when the car was returned. Police, according to a Prescott Police Department detective’s supplemental report, sought and obtained a subpoena to discover the source of the ‘Joseph McGee’ phone call — and traced it to a phone number owned and operated by a renowned ‘Colon Hydrotherapist’ in the region.”

Of course, police couldn’t reach or locate “Joseph McGee” for an interview, nor were calls to Hunter Biden’s phone number provided to Hertz answered. Imagine that?

Should the crack pipe report receive more media attention?

Even though the 23-page report repeatedly referred to a “narcotics offense” with “Robert Hunter Biden” as the suspect, two Prescott police officers, a detective and the county’s attorney’s offices declined to prosecute the privileged young man.

Apparently they refused to drop the hammer on Biden because they only figured it would amount to minor charges, so it was sent down a level to the city attorney, who also decided not to prosecute.

There was no clear reason why that decision was reached by the city attorney in the police report.

It should be noted that according to the Washington Examiner, Biden was discharged from the Navy Reserves in 2012 — just one month after joining — because of a random drug test that tested positive for cocaine. He was only able to join the Navy Reserves in the first place with a drug waiver for a “drug-related incident” in his past.

His first wife, Kathleen, detailed in divorce papers that Biden spent large amounts of their money on drugs, hookers and other forms of illicit entertainment.

RELATED: Can You Figure Out What Joe Biden Is Saying in This Clip? We Can’t.

This kind of incident goes to show that individuals such as Biden can virtually do whatever they want with little to no consequence. Had someone else turned in a rental car with a crack pipe and apparent drug residue in the vehicle, odds are good that they’d be in serious legal trouble.

People have gone to jail for less.

WATCH: Kelsey Grammer Says Trump Has Accomplished More Than ‘Washington Clowns’ Have In 60 Years

One of the few Hollywood conservatives, Kelsey Grammer of TV’s “Frasier,” is singing President Trump’s praises for doing more in 60 years than all of the “Washington clowns” that have been his detractors.

According to Newsbusters, Grammer sat down with Christiane Amanpour on the PBS show “Amanpour and Company” on Tuesday night. First, the host asked if his outspoken conservatism has been costly to him in any way in such a left-wing bastion like Hollywood.

“Can I ask you, Kelsey, because we were talking obviously about today’s politics and it’s very divisive, very partisan, whether it’s in the United States, whether it’s here,” Amanpour began. “You are one of those rare Hollywood beasts who is conservative, and you voted for Donald Trump. And I just wonder, what, whether you sort of took any hits in Hollywood for that? Did you feel that you were sort of marginalized?”

“I’m not aware of taking a hit for it but now, certainly passions run high, and certainly he has touched on an extraordinarily passionate response,” Grammer said. “I don’t know if it’s as serious or horrible as everybody wants it to be.”

As the interview continued, Amanpour pressed Grammer on if she feels President Trump has “disrupted” the social fabric. Grammer said that the disruption is quite a good thing, adding that Washington has done little for people in the past 50 or even 60 years.

AMANPOUR: I was wondering whether you thought the sort of, many people believe this sort of fabric is being disrupted.

GRAMMER: Well I think fabric being disrupted is a good thing.

AMANPOUR: You do?

GRAMMER: Oh yeah. I don’t think Washington didn’t do us any favors for the last 50, 60 years, I think they’ve all been sort of the same party, the same bunch of clowns, the same bunch of really unpleasant people.

AMANPOUR: It’s politics.

GRAMMER: And I don’t think they’ve been helping anybody but themselves.

Amanpour asked Grammer how people can reconcile amid such divisions, citing both Brexit and President Trump. Grammer said people will recover just fine because they have been through much worse.

AMANPOUR: What about people? Do you wonder, I mean here with Brexit, how can people sort of get back together again?

GRAMMER: I think the English people should be just fine because you know they’ve been through a lot worse.

AMANPOUR: And the American people?

GRAMMER: And the American people will be just fine, too. We’ve been through a lot worse.

Kelsey Grammer is not the only Hollywood conservative to praise Trump for shaking up the pot and getting things done – a draining of the swamp, so to speak. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly last year, actor Tim Allen said that it took a special kind of person like Trump to “get things done.”

“The theater of this is fascinating,” Allen said. “He doesn’t do it very attractively but you don’t even realize the economy is doing better. Is it? There’s so much drama. Maybe it took this type of guy to get stuff done because it was so stuck in the mud. I’m just watching the theater of it and trying to keep my personal opinions out of it. What difference does it make whether I like him?”

Trump administration announces over 400 pages of new protections for pro-life health care orgs & workers

The Trump administration finalized a new rule in the Department of Health and Human services to protect the conscience rights of pro-life people and institutions in the health care field, officials announced Thursday.

The actual finalized rule is a pretty long one, totaling a whopping 440 pages in PDF form. The summary section at the top of the document states that the new rules are meant to step up the enforcement efforts of laws already passed by Congress to “ensure vigorous enforcement of Federal conscience and anti‐discrimination laws applicable to the Department, its programs, and recipients of HHS funds.”

A primary goal of the new regulation is to ensure that people and institutions in the medical field cannot be discriminated against by the government or others because of beliefs that bar them from taking part in or providing abortion. It also protects beliefs against contraception and “assisted suicide, euthanasia, or mercy killing.”

The enforcement of those new laws will fall to HHS’ Office of Civil Rights (OCR).

“This rule ensures that healthcare entities and professionals won’t be bullied out of the health care field because they decline to participate in actions that violate their conscience, including the taking of human life,” reads a statement from OCR Director Roger Severino. “Protecting conscience and religious freedom not only fosters greater diversity in healthcare, it’s the law.”

“Laws prohibiting government funded discrimination against conscience and religious freedom will be enforced like every other civil rights law,” explained  Severino.

On a call with reporters Thursday afternoon, Severino went into greater detail on the scope of the rule, explaining that it’s meant to be an improvement over 2011 Obama administration regulations that have proven inadequate in the years since their enactment.

As an example of people who would be protected under the new regulations, Severino reminded reporters of the story of Cathy DeCarlo, a pro-life New York nurse who was forced by her employer to take part in an abortion, despite her clear, conscientious objections to doing so.

Severino also that the new regulations would even go as far as ensuring that pro-life medical students would not face discrimination because of their views, saying that medical specialities like gynecology and obstetrics should not be “pro-life-free zones.”

The rule stems from a 2017 executive order from President Donald Trump directing his administration to “to vigorously enforce Federal law’s robust protections for religious freedom.”

President Trump announced the new regulations during his remarks from the White House Rose Garden for the National Day of Prayer on Thursday.

“Together, we are building a culture that cherishes the dignity and worth of human life,” the president said, saying that the rules would protect the conscience rights of “physicians, pharmacists, nurses, teachers, students and faith-based charities.”

“Every child born and unborn is a sacred gift from God,” Trump added, to applause from the attendees.

Like other federal regulations, the new conscience rule will go into effect 60 days from its publication in the Federal Register. On the call, Severino told reporters that he expects publication to happen “very soon.”

Watch: Sen. Ted Cruz spars with State Dept bureaucrat over Iran nuke program

Sen. Ted Cruz is demanding answers from the State Department about why it continues to grant waivers to Iran to continue its nuclear program.

Today’s Senate Foreign Relations Committee hearing produced major fireworks between Sen. Cruz and State Department official Andrea Thompson, who serves as Under Secretary for Arms Control and International Security.

“How is it possibly in our best interest to allow Iran to continue doing nuclear research in the Fordow bunker that was built into the side of a mountain to be able to develop nuclear weapons to use to murder Americans? How is that in our best interest?” Cruz asked.

Failing to answer the question, the unelected State Department official responded that “everyone in this administration will stand for what’s right for the safety and security of the American people, bar none.”

Sen. Cruz repeated his question:

“Is it in our interest to allow Iran to continue to do nuclear research in the Fordow facility?”

He then received the shocking response from the unelected bureaucrat that the decisions made by the State Department are “always in the interest of the American people,” which Sen. Cruz called an “Orwellian position.”

The demeanor expressed by the State Department official highlights a commonplace mentality within the ranks of the federal bureaucracy, where far too many unelected bureaucrats see themselves as not having to answer to the American people or the administration that they work under.

The Texas senator has continually raised awareness about the State Department’s efforts to thwart President Trump’s withdrawal from the nuclear deal with the jihadist regime that rules Iran.

“For two and a half years, the career officials at State who drafted the Obama nuclear deal have fought tenaciously against President Trump’s resolve to end the deal. Enough is enough; when these nuclear waivers expire yet again in 90 days, they should end forever,” Cruz said in a statement released May 3.

For a successful second term, Trump will need a new strategy in Senate primaries

When the president and his administration help Senate RINOs, they are helping senators who are sandbagging his campaign agenda.

The AP obtained a copy of an invitation to an event sponsored by President Trump’s campaign committee and the RNC to a joint fundraiser with Vice President Mike Pence and North Carolina’s junior senator, Thom Tillis, next week in Greensboro. Local media is reporting this as a signal of support from the White House for Tillis’ re-election.

Hasn’t the president learned his lesson of supporting RINOs only to have them bite him on every issue he campaigned on?

Senate Republicans are more liberal than ever before. Even if Republicans win back the House and Trump is re-elected, he will be no closer to passing any of his priorities on immigration, spending, or health care than he was during his first two years of trifecta control, because there are very few Republicans in the Senate who truly believe in his campaign promises.

Confirming conservative judges was one of the few unifying ideals of Senate Republicans, yet Mitt Romney voted against a well-qualified district judge nominee yesterday because he felt the nominee said mean things about Obama. But Trump endorsed Romney in the primary last year, thereby ending any attempt to challenge him.

This has been a broader point of frustration during Trump’s first term. He continuously endorses the very RINOs whom his party’s voters elected him to vanquish and then complains about the Senate undermining his campaign promises. Trump’s endorsement has the singular power to catapult struggling primary challengers into the lead against liberal Republican incumbents. At the very least, if Trump would remain neutral in the primaries, some challengers might have a fighting change, especially in North Carolina, where Tillis is now vulnerable to a challenge. But if Trump supports an incumbent, that is the kiss of death for any primary challenger.

Take a look at the Senate landscape this cycle. There are a number of open seats or incumbents in states where Trump won, often by large margins, in 2016.

Trump has the power to create for himself a more conservative Senate that will push for market-based health care, pass his budget proposals, back an America-first foreign policy, and codify his immigration priorities. Yet if he reflexively endorses incumbents and establishment picks, he is consigning his second term to complete doom.

Tillis has a 38% Liberty Score and is not a conservative on a single issue – social, fiscal, or national security. He has promoted amnesty from the day he set foot in the Senate. Tillis initially opposed Trump’s emergency declaration but changed course after he realized he’d face primary challengers.

At a time when House Democrats are trying to push back against Trump by codifying transgenderism into civil rights, Tillis is being honored by a “Republican” transgender group.

If you remember, Tillis refused to stand up for his former colleagues in the North Carolina legislature when they were combatting liberal cities that were allowing men into private female dressing rooms.

We are seeing the same thing with Lindsey Graham. Just because he is talking tough on Mueller and the FBI Hillary email scandal doesn’t mean he is suddenly a conservative on policy. Just because he is rhetorically cozying up to Trump doesn’t mean that the minute he is safe from a primary challenge, he will not give Trump hell on immigration and on his realist vision on foreign policy, especially since Graham is a shill for Qatar. Indeed, he is cozying up to Trump only for the purpose of avoiding a primary challenge. In fact, just yesterday, he had the nerve to say that “we need a conversation about the 11 million [illegal aliens already here]” at a time when his own policies have incentivized the current overwhelming flow.

The reality is that every Republican will come to Trump in a time of need. But they will not be there for him when he needs support in the Senate. Just the opposite: They will sandbag him with media virtue-signaling at every turn.

Every piece of leverage the president has is enmeshed in the budget process. Yet during every single budget battle since January 2017, McConnell and company have worked to give the Democrats everything they wanted on both spending and immigration. They are in the process of once again moving Trump to the Left on the disaster bill and on the budget caps and debt ceiling in September.

The president needs to think long and hard what his second term will look like if he continues supporting Republicans like Mitt Romney, Thom Tillis, and Lindsey Graham. But changing course in Senate electoral strategy will likely require a change in White House personnel.

Justice: Girl Who Stole Pro-Life Sign Crumbles When Cop Tells Her To Put Her Hands Behind Her Back

A student at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill is going viral for all the wrong reasons after she was arrested on camera for stealing the sign of pro-life activists.

The unidentified student in the video, which was published to YouTube on Tuesday and occurred in April, can be seen snatching a sign from protesters that said: “Warning: Abortion Victim Photos Ahead.”

The young woman can be seen leaving with the sign as the activists pursue her. Also in pursuit: the police.

When the young woman was confronted by a police officer, who asked if she had stolen the protesters’ sign, she claimed she had “just moved it.”

“Well, you took it,” the police officer said.

TRENDING: OB-GYN Who Delivered Over 2,500 Babies Blows Lid Off Infanticide Laws: ‘I Want To Clear Something Up’

When asked why she did it, she smiled, tapped the sign and said, “Because — this restricts women’s rights.”

“He’s promoting lies on college campus,” she continued.

The flippancy ended when it became clear she wasn’t going anywhere anytime soon.

“I can’t believe y’all protect them,” she told the officer.

This is an interesting position. On Wednesday, I was reporting — in a different context, of course — on a quote from Sen. Kamala Harris, 2020 Democrat presidential candidate and perfervid abortion advocate.

“Let me just be very clear about this,” she said in response to a question about illegal immigrants being covered under “Medicare for All.”

“I am opposed to any policy that would deny in our country any human being from access to public safety, public education or public health,” she added.

I’m sure Harris would decline to stick up for this student’s behavior, but I can also guarantee a hefty percentage of her supporters feel the same way this student does: Pro-life protesters don’t deserve access to public safety.

I don’t doubt there would be people who cheer her on despite the fact that she stole someone else’s property and openly admitted to doing the same, yet openly wondered why the officer arrested her.

The pro-life group in question, Created Equal, also had one of its members assaulted on the UNC campus in April, another incident which made national news.

Jillian Ward, a self-identified feminist and aspiring journalist, was cited for misdemeanor assault in the attack, which was also caught on video.

“F—ing terrible person,” Ward yells on the video. “You’re a terrible person. You — this is not OK. This is not okay. This is not OK. Shut the f— up right now. This is wrong. This is triggering. You’re not an innocent human being. You’re a terrible person.”

In that case, Ward wasn’t taken into custody, just cited and let go.

In this case, well, not so much. As you can see, she got hauled in. I don’t usually give into schadenfreude, but the look on her face when the cop tells her to put her hands behind her back is priceless.

You can see that she clearly didn’t think she would be arrested for stealing a sign — and, in fact, she can be heard saying: “I cannot believe this is happening. Is there something else that I can do?”

“No,” the officer responded, before calmly placing handcuffs on her.

One hopes this is representative of the university’s policy going forward. After all, Harris was right, in a way: No individual ought to be denied the right to public safety, no matter what their opinion.

“College students who interfere with our First Amendment rights by assaulting us or stealing our signs are not the victims,” Mark Harrington, president of Created Equal, told Fox News.

“Universities are failing to educate students on the basic American ideal of freedom of speech.”

Facebook Censors Picture of Unborn Baby, Says It May ‘Be Sensitive to Some People’

Facebook censored a pro-life advertisement campaign featuring an unborn baby because it might “be sensitive to some people.”

The Iona Institute, an Ireland-based Catholic advocacy group, launched its new “still one of us” billboard campaign last week featuring a picture of an unborn baby.

“The campaign is currently running on a number of billboards in various parts of the country and we had extended the campaign to Facebook where we were paying a small amount (€150 in total) to bring it to a wider audience,” Iona Institute said.

But Facebook censored the advertisement and claimed the image of the unborn baby fell under the “graphic” or “violent” imagery category.

Now Facebook users see a warning where the ad once appeared: “This photo may be sensitive to some people.”

But who would be “sensitive” to a photo of an unborn baby? It’s not a graphic photo of an aborted baby — it’s a harmless picture of an unborn baby in the womb.

“Needless to say, there is nothing graphic or violent about an image of an unborn child in the womb. On the contrary, it is extremely life-affirming,” Iona Institute said.

It’s strange that a harmless image of an unborn baby is deemed too “graphic” or “violent,” but it’s not too “graphic” or “violent” for teenage girls to get abortions.

“Are we now at a point where images of an unborn child in the womb cannot be shown in public even though parents see such images every day in hospitals all over the country and have no hesitation showing such images to their children?” Iona Institute said.

And I doubt that pro-abortion advertisements are censored. In fact, Planned Parenthood currently has several active advertisement campaigns on Facebook.

It’s perfectly fine for left-wing groups to normalize the murder of unborn babies, but a photo of an unborn baby with a pro-life message is too “graphic” for Facebook.

It seems highly plausible that Facebook censored this advertisement for political reasons — it’s obviously not too graphic or violent, and the only people that would find it “sensitive” are leftists who don’t want to be faced with the brutal reality of abortion.

This is the latest example of big tech’s recent censorship campaign against conservatives.

Earlier this month, Facebook banned several conservative journalists and provocateurs and Twitter suspended actor James Woods.

Facebook and Twitter are usually able to hide behind their vague content policies when they censor conservatives, but there is absolutely no excuse for censoring mainstream political opinions on abortion.

It’s clear that big tech is desperately trying to stop conservatives from reaching people with their message.
