DeSantis: People Coming To FL ‘Overwhelmingly’ Registering As Republicans; Democrats Switching To GOP

Republican Florida Governor Ron DeSantis told Fox News during a town hall event Wednesday night that people who are moving to Florida are “overwhelmingly” registering as Republicans, including former Democrats who fled blue states.

“The media at the beginning of this said Florida’s bad and I think it’s because they want to damage Trump in Florida, they want to damage me. So, they just kept saying it was bad,” DeSantis said. “And even though the facts didn’t say it, like literally last April, they’re saying Florida is doing worse than New York. New York was like 10 times worse.”

“And so, I think what it did is the people that buy those phony narratives for these media, they probably aren’t coming to Florida. But most people see through it. But the people that see through it, they think like us. And so, I think a lot of these people are coming. I think they are registering as Republicans overwhelming,” he continued. “And I also have come across a lot of people who, quite frankly, were Democrats. The lockdowns turned them into Republicans.”

TRANSCRIPT PROVIDED VIA FOX NEWS:

SEAN HANNITY, FOX NEWS HOST: That’s actually a good point. I remember being out there one summer and I walked outside of a radio station with J.D. Hayworth and I’m like, I can’t breathe. It was — it was really rough.

All right. So, all of you have this problem. And the problem is people from New York, and New Jersey, and California, and Michigan, they’re leaving their states and they’re going to your states.

You’re — Florida seeing a huge impact of migration out of the — out of these blue states. Now, my only fear for all of you — and I’ll let you start first, Governor DeSantis — is that they may bring their liberal policies with them.

RON DESANTIS, FLORIDA GOVERNOR: So, it’s interesting with Florida. Like the media at the beginning of this said Florida’s bad. And I think it’s because they want to damage Trump in Florida. They want to damage me. So, they just kept saying it was bad.

And even though the facts didn’t say it, like literally last April, they’re saying Florida is doing worse than New York. New York was like 10 times worse.

And so, I think what it did is the people that buy those phony narratives for these media, they probably aren’t coming to Florida. But most people see through it. But the people that see through it, they think like us. And so, I think a lot of these people are coming. I think they are registering as Republicans overwhelming.

And I also have come across a lot of people who, quite frankly, were Democrats. The lockdowns turned them into Republicans, because they say, I cannot fathom. I was — people say, I was a Democrat because of education and I’m in California and they’re locking my kids out of school.

I come to Florida, they’re in school. People are free. People are happy.

So, I think this whole process has caused some people to reevaluate some of their prior commitments. And if you have a political party that puts the interest of teachers unions over the interest of kids being able to just access an education at all, that tells you all you need to know about the modern Democrat Party.

Report: Kamala Harris Keeps Enemies List of Journalists Who Don’t ‘Appreciate Her Life Experience’

Vice President Kamala Harris keeps a list of reporters and other political types who might be racist, according to a profile published in the Atlantic on Monday.

"The vice president and her team tend to dismiss reporters. Trying to get her to take a few questions after events is treated as an act of impish aggression," writes Edward-Isaac Dovere. "And Harris herself tracks political players and reporters whom she thinks don’t fully understand her or appreciate her life experience."

That list presumably includes the people at Vogue magazine, who managed to enrage libs by putting Harris on the cover earlier this year. It remains unclear why the libs became enraged; Harris was wearing her signature Converse kicks and everything.

According to Dovere’s reporting, Harris judiciously monitors the words journalists use to describe her. "She particularly doesn’t like the word cautious, and aides look out for synonyms too," he writes. "Careful, guarded, and hesitant don’t go over well."

Antonyms as well, apparently. During the 2020 campaign, journalists and other libs were sounding the alarm about the word "ambitious." This was especially true following reports that some aides to then-candidate Joe Biden thought Harris was too ambitious to be his running mate; Biden did "not want to be outshone." Rep. Karen Bass (D., Calif.) was reportedly considered because, unlike Harris, she had no interest in running for president in the future.

On that subject, the Atlantic profile does not inspire confidence in Harris’s ability to realize her presidential ambition. Biden’s death might be the only thing that could propel her to the White House, given her underwhelming political abilities. She already tried running for president in 2020, and her campaign flamed out before the Iowa caucus.

Some aides have been "surprised at how much work there is to be done" when it comes to educating Harris on policy issues. Even journalists have grown tired of the VP’s tendency to "retreat behind talking points and platitudes in public." Dovere writes that, at times, Harris "comes off as so uninteresting that television producers have started to wonder whether spending thousands of dollars to send people on trips with her is worthwhile, given how little usable material they get out of it."

In many ways, Harris is merely a non-white version of Hillary Clinton. Both women are possessed by ruthless ambition, yet lack the necessary skills to succeed in politics at the national level. They are most comfortable when regurgitating talking points and platitudes. Objectively speaking, they share a knack for unsettling laughter and launched their political careers by dating powerful men.

Harris’s obsession with keeping track of the politicians and reporters who "don’t fully understand her or appreciate her life experience" might seem strange, but it’s nothing new. Hillary did the same thing but never got a chance to exact her revenge. Alas, neither will Harris, in all likelihood.

How The Left-Wing Media Promoted A Baseless COVID Conspiracy Theory

Last May, a Florida Department of Health employee named Rebekah Jones accused Governor Ron DeSantis (R) of firing her for refusing to minimize the number of COVID-19 deaths, so he could reopen the state. In the last week, Charles C.W. Cooke has posted a definitive refutation of her claims at National Review, but one item has been missing from the story: the role the legacy media played in spreading Jones’ false claims.

Cooke shows how Jones claimed she had constructed Florida’s COVID-19 “dashboard” on her own, despite the fact that she merely entered other people’s data into the database. In addition, he shows that while she claimed she was ordered to change the original data, she had no access to that data to begin with. After changing her initial story in the first few days, Jones accused the well-respected Deputy Secretary of Health Dr. Shamarial Roberson, of asking her to change data and called Roberson a “liar, fraud, murderer.” Jones has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars through multiple GoFundMe pages to set up an alternate COVID-19 website which, Cooke argues, overestimates the number of coronavirus-related deaths because Jones lacks adequate statistical knowledge and nuance. Police, whom Jones called “Gestapo,” raided Jones’ home in December after she reportedly stole the personal information of 19,000 state employees, and she turned herself in to authorities in January on a felony hacking charge.

Although Cooke writes that Jones was no “whistleblower,” the legacy media have spent the last year promoting her as a living indictment of Gov. DeSantis as a heartless, deceptive autocrat willing to sacrifice the elderly and schoolchildren for the almighty dollar. Cooke drew attention to that media coverage on Monday’s “Morning Joe.”

“It’s been shared by … [MSNBC prime time hosts] Joy Reid and Rachel Maddow, who appear on this network, by Chris Cuomo on CNN,” Cooke said. “And it’s astonishing to me that nobody has really looked into this, because while this has poisoned millions of minds, it’s easily rebuttable just by looking at public information.”

But Cooke’s comments only glance the surface of the legacy media’s biased coverage and misinformation in the Rebekah Jones saga alone (let alone their broader war against Ron DeSantis). Here are some of the most significant moments:

CNN’s Brianne Keilar reported on the Rebekah Jones story on May 19, 2020, saying the government’s COVID-19 “transparency decreased in recent weeks since Rebekah Jones and her team were booted out.”

The same day MSNBC’s Ari Melber said that Jones “was actually removed from the job after being told, reportedly, to censor information”; his guest, former Obama adviser Dr. Zeke Emanuel, said, “This is just purely a way of deceiving the public.” Also on May 19, former Republican strategist Nicolle Wallace warned MSNBC viewers of “a government effort to censor scientific information and keep it from going public – an extraordinary charge to even contemplate given the size of Florida’s vulnerable population.”

The next day, Politico repeated Jones’ side of the story and claimed it fed into a narrative of DeSantis’ deception:

Jones told [Florida Today] that she was fired for refusing to manipulate data. … So let’s just make this clear: The full story may not be out yet, but this is another example of the DeSantis administration having to deal with questions about transparency. … The problem for DeSantis World is that is a recurring theme, not just a one-off situation. If there’s nothing to hide, then there’s no reason to make it so hard to get information.

Media coverage stretched into the next month, when MSNBC had Jones on the June 12 edition of “The Beat with Ari Member” to accuse DeSantis’ team of “deflating their number of [positive] tests” and supporting policies that “could potentially cost more lives.”

On June 24, then-host of CNN’s “New Day,” Alisyn Camerota, began her interview with Jones by quoting Jones’ latest, “very damning” allegations:

Yesterday, you put out some very damning tweets of what you say Florida is still doing. So let me just read to folks at home. You say, “I have multiple sources at the Department of Health who have just told me that they have been instructed this week to change the numbers and begin to slowly deleting deaths and cases so it looks like Florida is improving next week in the lead-up to July 4th, like they’ve, “made it over the hump.” Next tweet, “I have independently verified they have deleted at least 1,200 cases in the last week. They’re only reporting all of the cases now so they can restrict reporting next week to make everyone think it’s over. I’ve had two Department of Health employees in different offices confirm.”

To her credit, Camerota asked Jones for “evidence beyond word of mouth” and showed some skepticism at Jones’ story.

By last June, liberal cable news outlets were so invested that they had to defend her from her critics. MSNBC’s Lawrence O’Donnell vouched for Jones’ reliability on June 15, asserting:

Your work has been praised by Dr. Deborah Birx and others. Your credibility has been unquestioned. Has anyone in state government said there’s a reason to question your credibility about this?

In reality, last May DeSantis revealed:

She’s not a data scientist. She’s somebody that’s got a degree in journalism, communication & geography. She is not involved in collating any data; she does not have the expertise to do that. She is not an epidemiologist; she is not the chief architect of our web portal.

Rather than ask Jones about these significant questions of her credibility, CBS News invited Jones to critique DeSantis’ statements about COVID-19 in July. O’Donnell also invited Jones back to close out his July 13 episode, where he told viewers flatly, “Rebekah Jones was fired by the state of Florida after refusing to manipulate coronavirus data”; he added that DeSantis’ official coronavirus numbers were “not even close” to the real numbers offered by Jones.

Yet no one was as effusive as CNN’s Chris Cuomo, who told his audience flatly, “She was right.” On August 31, Cuomo opened one of his many interviews with Jones by saying:

[W]hat’s more scary about [COVID-19] is not being told the truth about the numbers and what’s happening. That’s why we covered Rebekah Jones. Remember her, the ousted manager of Florida’s coronavirus data tracking dashboard? Jones said then, “Hey, they’re not doing numbers the right way in Florida.” She got savaged. She was right. She said she was asked to manipulate the numbers. Her superior said she was fired for insubordination. She then filed a whistleblower complaint. But now, she’s going to take us inside the reality of what’s happening with schools.

Jones told Cuomo that several states, including Florida, “are using HIPAA as a shield to not release data” indicating a supposed explosion of COVID-19 infections among schoolchildren. Particularly in Florida, “leadership didn’t like what the numbers showed, so they pulled back” the data from public view.

On December 7, Jones told Cuomo that seizing her computers and records amounted to “just a very thinly veiled attempt of the governor to intimidate scientists and get back at me while trying to get to my sources.”

The network repeatedly aired Jones’ home video footage of the police raid, in which she claimed the police aimed a gun at her face and pointed a gun at her children. But CNN did not point out that her video shows neither of those occurrences.

Instead, CNN anchor Jim Sciutto told his viewers, “Listen to this story, because it’s concerning.” His co-anchor, Poppy Harlow added, “I have a sense there is more here” to the story than DeSantis let on.

CNN reporter Drew Griffin claimed that Jones’ story undermined “Governor Ron DeSantis [who] has faced stiff criticism for his handling of the virus, refusing to order shutdowns, institute mask mandates and some say, downplaying the numbers of Floridians who’ve become sick and died.”

On December 10, Chris Cuomo again interviewed Jones, saying she had endured “a lot of bullying and bad stuff.” Jones used “Cuomo Prime Time” to accuse DeSantis of “trying to flush out people that they view as being disloyal within state agencies.”

Five days later, Jones went on MSNBC and told Joy Reid, “I was fired back in May for refusing to actually change numbers and make the state look like it was ready to reopen when, by our own metrics, it was not.”

Jones told “The ReidOut” she had not caused the data breach she was accused of — but added curiously, “Even if that had happened at my house … there’s no justification for that many armed police to come into my house to get a computer.”

At Reid’s insistence, she took aim at DeSantis, saying that “nothing that he has done with this virus, since the beginning has been honest. Nothing.”

A week later, MSNBC blogger Steve Benen gave viewers the promise of future coverage, writing on December 20 that “Rebekah Jones’ court case is worth watching.”

As late as January, NPR noted Jones’ claim that she was fired for refusing to manipulate data and reported that Jones “helped create Florida’s COVID-19 dashboard.”

This March 11, Cosmopolitan’s Emily Bloch claimed, “Rebekah Jones Tried to Warn Us About COVID-19. Now Her Freedom Is on the Line.”

The legacy media accuse conservative outlets of spreading baseless “conspiracy theories.” Yet they promoted just such a tall tale for months, because it tarnished the reputation of Ron DeSantis.

Chris Cuomo once told Rebekah Jones that his show, “Cuomo Prime Time,” would “stay on [her story] until the end.” When will he admit the show is over? As of this writing, he hasn’t retracted, or even acknowledged, the numerous false statements made on his platform.

Even Joe Scarborough spread more misinformation about MSNBC on Monday while clearing the air about Jones. “We covered the first few stories, and then it kind of disappeared, at least for us,” he said. MSNBC’s viewers, and everyone armed with this article, know that’s not true. While Scarborough deserves tremendous credit for inviting Cooke to set the record straight, he has yet to come clean about the full extent of cable news negligence in the false story his network helped promote

Live-Stream Video: Panicked Maricopa County Board of Supervisors Hold Monday Meeting Before Tuesday’s Senate Grilling — Starting at 4 PM ET

The Maricopa Board of Supervisors is meeting today before their meeting Tuesday with the Arizona State Senate to answer questions about missing files from their voting machines and software handed over to the Senate Auditors.

Last week, the Gateway Pundit reported about the emergency meeting that was called by the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors, after the County was reportedly unable to provide passwords to the auditors performing an audit of the county’s 2020 Election results.  They also did not provide access to the routers which were requested in the audit as well.

On Wednesday afternoon, it was discovered that “the entire database directory” for the 2020 General election, showing the “Results Tally and Reporting,” had been deleted from the voting machines!

Also, the Arizona Audit Team found “significant discrepancies” between the number of ballots therein and the batch reports included in the boxes.

The data drives that were deleted included adjudicated files from the 2020 election.

President of the Arizona Senate Karen Fann released a letter to Chairman Sellers, demanding answers on Wednesday night.

Senator Karen Fann called the Maricopa County Supervisors to come before the Arizona Senate next Tuesday and explains how the election databases were deleted from the voting machines just 10 days before the machines were turned over to the Senate forensic audit team!

On Thursday night the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors held a meeting and released a statement smearing the Arizona Senate and the Arizona Audit Team, accusing them of “causing agitation.”

The Maricopa County Board of Supervisors then scheduled a meeting for Monday — the day before the Senate meeting.

That meeting is about to start.

Space Force Officer’s Book On Marxism In The Military Reaches No. 1 On Amazon After Being Fired

Space Force Officer’s Book On Marxism In The Military Reaches No. 1 On Amazon After Being Fired

Authored by Jack Phillips via The Epoch Times,

A U.S. Space Force officer’s self-published book positing that Marxist ideology and Critical Race Theory is being spread throughout the military reached the top of Amazon’s bestseller list on Sunday after it was learned that he was relieved of his command.

“Irresistible Revolution: Marxism’s Goal of Conquest & the Unmaking of the American Military” by Lt. Col. Matthew Lohmeier, reached the top of the retail website’s bestseller list on Sunday evening.

[ZH: how long before Bezos is told to ban it?]

It came after the Space Force confirmed that Lohmeier was relieved of his command “due to a loss of trust.”

“This decision was based on public comments made by Lt. Col. Lohmeier in a recent podcast. Lt. Gen. Whiting has initiated a Command Directed Investigation on whether these comments constituted prohibited partisan political activity,” according to the Space Force’s statement, which was sent to a number of news outlets over the past weekend.

Lohmeier made the “public comments” during an interview on a podcast, “Information Operation,” where he promoted his book. He criticized the Department of Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin’s agenda to promote the Marxist- and postmodernist-influenced Critical Race Theory within the military in recent months.

“I don’t demonize the man, but I want to make it clear to both him and every service member that if we pursue this agenda, it will divide us. It will not unify us,” Lohmeier said, asserting that Austin is promoting “diversity, inclusion, and equity,” of which he and others have argued are “rooted in Critical Race Theory, which is rooted in Marxism.”

Critical Race Theory is an offshoot of the Marxist “critical theory” that spread throughout American universities in the latter half of the 20th century.

Critics have said that the ideology often focuses on “structural racism” or “systemic racism,” which typically labels white or European people as the oppressors and minorities as the oppressed, while redefining the history and culture of the United States. Typically white people are labeled as the oppressors and everyone else is labeled as the oppressed, similar to how Soviets and other communists boiled down society as an eternal struggle between the proletariat and bourgeoisie.

Some GOP-led states have introduced or passed bills to ban the teaching of Critical Race Theory and the New York Times-backed “1619 Project,” which draws heavily on the ideology, in schools.

“What you see happening in the U.S. military at the moment is that if you’re a conservative, then you’re lumped into a group of people who are labeled extremists, if you’re willing to voice your views. And if you’re aligned with the left, then it’s OK to be an activist online because no one’s gonna hold you accountable,” Lohmeier also said, according to the Washington Examiner, which also reported on his book reaching No. 1 on Amazon’s bestseller list.

Meanwhile, Lohmeier told Military.com that he was not trying to partake in Republican-vs.-Democrat politics.

My intent never has been to engage in partisan politics. I have written a book about a particular political ideology (Marxism) in the hope that our Defense Department might return to being politically nonpartisan in the future as it has honorably done throughout history,” he said.

The Epoch Times has contacted the Department of Defense for comment.

US Army is ‘prioritizing climate change’ to align with President Biden’s agenda: ‘Serious threat’

The United States Army published a bulletin last week revealing what the military branch considers a grave threat that may jeopardize U.S. national security: climate change.

What are the details?

The document — published by the assistant secretary of the Army for installations, energy and environment — claims "climate change is a serious threat to U.S. National security interests and defense objectives."

"Warming temperatures open new theaters of operations for military and commercial use, while extreme weather events and rising sea levels threaten infrastructure and economic output, trigger large-scale population displacement, migration and exacerbate food and water insecurity," the bulletin claims.

Because of these alleged threats, the Army will now be "prioritizing climate change" in strategic defense plans. The new focus appears to be directly related to President Joe Biden’s agenda, which emphasizes addressing climate change threats.

The Defense Department, in fact, has already established the "Department of Defense Climate Working Group," a new office that will coordinate the Defense Department’s ongoing response to climate change.

Joe Bryan, the leader of the new working group, said last month:

It’s really an exciting time in which we’re seeing our defense requirements and our mission requirements align exceptionally well with some climate-friendly solutions. And I think the commercial sector is moving there faster than we can possibly imagine, and we have an opportunity to take advantage of that and improve our own capability and competitiveness.

Anything else?

Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin fully supports Biden’s emphasis on climate change.

Last month, Austin said that "climate change is making the world more unsafe and we need to act."

"Today, no nation can find lasting security without addressing the climate crisis. We face all kinds of threats in our line of work, but few of them truly deserve to be called existential. The climate crisis does," Austin said.

In his statement, Austin intertwined military readiness with "energy efficiency."

"We in the Department of Defense are committed to doing our part, from increasing the energy efficiency of our platforms and installations, to deploying clean distributed generation and energy storage, to electrifying our own vehicle fleets," Austin said. "The benefits of action extend well beyond the climate, and include opportunities to improve our own operations. For example, when we operate more sustainably, we become more logistically agile and ready to respond to crises."

Legendary guitarist Eric Clapton says he suffered ‘disastrous’ side effects from COVID-19 vaccine, blames ‘propaganda’ insisting they’re safe

Legendary guitarist Eric Clapton said he suffered "disastrous" side effects from his COVID-19 vaccine treatments and blamed "propaganda" insisting that the shots are safe.

What are the details?

Rolling Stone reported that the 76-year-old musician — known the world over for his stints with the Yardbirds and Cream in the 1960s as well as his long solo career marked by classic songs such as "Layla" and "Wonderful Tonight" — in February got an initial AstraZeneca vaccine shot.

The magazine cited a letter Clapton wrote describing his ordeal to architect and anti-lockdown activist Robin Monotti Graziadei, who shared it with the guitarist’s permission. Rolling Stone said it confirmed the authenticity of the letter — but that a Clapton rep didn’t immediately respond to its request for comment.

"I took the first jab of AZ and straight away had severe reactions which lasted ten days," Clapton wrote in the letter, according to the magazine. "I recovered eventually and was told it would be twelve weeks before the second one…"

He added that "about six weeks later I was offered and took the second AZ shot, but with a little more knowledge of the dangers. Needless to say the reactions were disastrous, my hands and feet were either frozen, numb or burning, and pretty much useless for two weeks, I feared I would never play again," Rolling Stone said.

Clapton also shared in the letter that he suffers from "peripheral neuropathy and should never have gone near the needle" and that "the propaganda said the vaccine was safe for everyone," the magazine reported.

"I continue to tread the path of passive rebellion and try to tow [sic] the line in order to be able to actively love my family, but it’s hard to bite my tongue with what I now know," the guitarist also wrote, according to Rolling Stone.

‘Stand and Deliver’

Clapton hit the headlines late last year for a related reason: an anti-lockdown song "Stand and Deliver" — penned by iconic vocalist Van Morrison and recorded and released by Clapton.

As you might imagine the guitarist took a lot of grief from the left over the tune — as did Morrison.

Stand and Deliver by Eric Clapton – Music from The state51 Conspiracy youtu.be

In the letter, Clapton said "I found my voice" after being directed to Morrison and his new music, the magazine reported.

"And even though I was singing his words, they echoed in my heart," Clapton added in his letter, according to Rolling Stone. "I recorded ‘Stand and Deliver’ in 2020 and was immediately regaled with contempt and scorn."

The magazine noted that Clapton said in a statement last December that accompanied the song: "There are many of us who support Van and his endeavors to save live music; he is an inspiration. We must stand up and be counted because we need to find a way out of this mess. The alternative is not worth thinking about. Live music might never recover."

According to Rolling Stone, Clapton also wrote in his letter that "I’ve been a rebel all my life, against tyranny and arrogant authority, which is what we have now. But I also crave fellowship, compassion and love… I believe with these things we can prevail."

Anything else?

Last September, a Northern Ireland health minister labeled Morrison’s anti-lockdown songs "dangerous." His tunes — "Born to Be Free," "As I Walked Out," and "No More Lockdown" — reportedly targeted the U.K. government for using COVID-19 lockdowns to "enslave" the people.

And he wasn’t through by a long shot.

"Remember, those who are shutting down our economy haven’t missed a paycheck since lockdown began," Morrison tweeted to his nearly 66,000 followers in December before adding a mocking zinger. "We are not in this together."

Mike Huckabee: Liberals Don’t Want to Give Up Masks Because It Means Giving People Their Power Back

Remember on March 2, when Texas Gov. Greg Abbott announced an end to the statewide mask mandate and the full reopening of the state, and President Biden accused him of “Neanderthal thinking,” while Democrat-coddling media outlets predicted a massive spike in COVID cases and deaths?

So, how is that working out?

On Sunday, Abbott announced that in the previous 24 hours, Texas had suffered zero COVID deaths, the first time that’s happened since March 2020.

It also notched the fewest COVID cases in over 13 months, the lowest 7-day COVID positivity rate since the pandemic started and the fewest hospitalizations in 11 months.

I guess Neanderthals are better at surviving than we thought.

Some liberals seem to be suffering withdrawal over the idea of the pandemic ending.

The CDC announced that it’s now safe for most fully vaccinated Americans to end social distancing and stop wearing masks (FYI: that was always safe for most fully vaccinated Americans), and the news has leftists beside themselves.

Do you think liberals like masks because they like having power?

Yes: 0% (0 Votes)

No: 0% (0 Votes)

Then again, if they didn’t hate good news and love misery, they wouldn’t be leftists.

MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow said she’d have to “rewire” her brain to not view someone without a mask as a “threat.”

(Rewiring her brain might be a good idea in general.)

And gun control activist and failed pillow maker David Hogg tweeted he would keep wearing a mask even though he’s fully vaccinated “because the inconvenience of having to wear a mask is more than worth it to have people not think I’m a conservative.”

Don’t worry, David: As long as the mask isn’t thick enough to prevent people from hearing the incredibly dumb things you say, nobody will ever mistake you for a conservative.

I suspect that the real reason these people are so reluctant to give up their masks and let Americans get back to normal is that it symbolizes giving up the control they usurped over people’s lives.

They want to keep that control and never let things go back to the way they were, with people running their own lives and doing whatever they want.

Their reluctance to take off the mask is telling us everything we need to know about what’s hidden underneath.
